LONDON (AP) — British police on Saturday arrested three more suspects in connection with the savage killing of an off-duty soldier that has raised fresh concerns about terrorism.

Scotland Yard said counterterrorism officers arrested two men, ages 24 and 28, at a residential address in southeast London. A third man, 21, was arrested separately on a London street at the same time.

Police said they used a stun gun on two of the suspects. All three were detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

The brave brave jihadi came up from behind the soldier and stabbed him in the neck.

According to the Nanterre prosecutor, Robert Gelli, questioned by AFP, the military soldier was hit from behind by a man who brought him a blow to the neck. He spoke of "a knife" without being able to say if it was a knife or a cutter. He was initially treated at a local RATP close before being hospitalized in Clamart (Hauts-de-Seine). His life is not in danger.

The attacker managed to flee. He "left without saying a word," said the prefect of Hauts-de-Seine who visited the scene. "He wanted to kill the soldier," he said. Police described him as a man of North African type, aged about 30 years. It is with a beard, a black jacket and a light colored jilbab, according to our information.

Update: More on the attacker and condition of the soldier, which isn't much except for 'out of danger':

The soldier was reported to be out of danger after being transported to a nearby military hospital[...]

The lone attacker was described as a young man wearing a Muslim prayer cap and a North African-style robe called a jellabah. According to a police account, he was monitored on security cameras and seen shedding his robe and fleeing in European clothes before disappearing into the crowd in a subway and train entrance.

Hezbollah is throwing its men into battle in the Syrian city of Qusayr, and many are returning to Lebanon in coffins. Through their funerals and commemorations posted on pro-Hezbollah Facebook pages, we are now getting a sense of the casualties that the self-proclaimed "Party of God" is suffering as it joins the Syrian conflict on the side of President Bashar al-Assad.

It's no secret why Qusayr is a vital piece of real estate for both the Syrian regime and the Lebanese paramilitary group. The city is a strategic link in the Syrian communications chain, connecting the capital of Damascus, Syria's Alawite-dominated coastal highlands, and Hezbollah's heartland in Lebanon's Beqaa Valley. The Lebanese border is only a few miles to the city's west, and the Damascus-Aleppo highway lies to its east.

Hezbollah maintains a tight lid on information about its fighters. The Lebanese paramilitary organization does not acknowledge that its fighters are being killed in Syria, and employs vague language to explain their deaths: All fighters who have been killed in Syria are said to have died performing their "Jihadist duties." Secretary of State John Kerry said on May 22 there were "several thousands" of Hezbollah fighters engaged in combat in Syria.

But Hezbollah can't conceal the reality of their fighters' deaths in Syria entirely. The group often announces a fighter's death on the day of the funeral, or a day before it. These funerals are carefully scripted, and access by non-Hezbollah media is severely restricted. New York Times reporter Anne Barnard was even thrown out of a funeral when she was covering the death of Hassan Faysal Shuker, one of 12 dead Hezbollah members named by the organization during the height of the fighting in Qusayr.

The FBI has arrested a San Antonio man on charges he lied to get into the United States and tried to get a sensitive Defense Department position.

Wissam Allouche, 44, appeared for an initial hearing Friday afternoon, and shook his head when U.S. Magistrate Judge Henry Bemporad read the charges leveled in a federal indictment. The judge ordered him held pending a bail hearing and his arraignment Tuesday.

“He allegedly tried to cover up his affiliation with Hezbollah,” said special agent Erik Vasys, spokesman for the FBI in San Antonio. “It is believed he was looking to secure a sensitive position with the U.S. government at some point.”[More...]

Most of the extremists who have repeatedly expressed their hatred of British soldiers are themselves supported by the British state. A prominent hate-preacher—Anjem Choudary, a leader of the disbanded al Muhajiroun—was even caught on video earlier this year extolling Britain's "jihad-seekers' allowance." As he explained to his followers, "The normal situation, really, is to take money from the kafir"—a slur for non-Muslims. "Allahu akbar. We take the money."

After the video showed up online, a BBC reporter asked Mr. Choudary to clarify how much he's taking—the press has long reported a sum of £25,000 ($37,770) per year. "It's irrelevant," Mr. Choudary replied.

This would not be the first time a country has paid both sides in a conflict. But if the reported figure is anywhere near accurate, it would surely be the first time in human history that a society has paid its opponents better than it pays its own. A British soldier can expect to start in the army on a salary of around £16,000 ($24,172).

Our nations are compassionate and generous. But sometimes that can be dangerous and detrimental. When your hospitality is extended to evil, it is only a matter of time before you cause your own doom.

Apparently, in the interview, Abu Nusaybah told BBC Mujahid was approached by M15 and they asked if he wanted to work for them. I guess Mujahid preferred his current occupation as Islamic butcher of kaffirs.

MI5 asked Woolwich murder suspect Michael Adebolajo if he wanted to work for them about six months before the killing, a childhood friend has said.

Abu Nusaybah told BBC Newsnight his friend - one of two men arrested after Drummer Lee Rigby's murder in south-east London on Wednesday - had rejected the approach from the security service.

The BBC could not obtain any confirmation from Whitehall sources.

Abu Nusaybah was arrested at the BBC after giving the interview.

The Met Police said a 31-year-old man had been arrested at 21:30 BST on Friday in relation to suspected terrorism offences and search warrants were being executed at two homes in east London.

The arrest was not directly related to the murder of Drummer Rigby, it said.

In his Newsnight interview, Abu Nusaybah said he thought "a change" had taken place in his friend after his detention by security forces on a trip to Kenya last year.

Abu Nusaybah said Mr Adebolajo suggested he had been physically and sexually abused during an interrogation in a prison cell in the African country.

After this, he became withdrawn "and less talkative - he wasn't his bubbly self", Abu Nusaybah added.

He said Mr Adebolajo also told him that, upon his return, he was "followed up by MI5" who were "knocking on his door".

In a country with a reputation for openness, tolerance and a model welfare state, the rioting has exposed a fault-line between a well-off majority and a minority - often young people with immigrant backgrounds - who are poorly educated, cannot find work and feel pushed to the edge of society.

They are rioting because the police shot a crazy guy with a machete and also because they can and get away with it. They have no respect to the Kuffar nor the Kuffars property because its not sinful to do this to Kuffar in Islam. Muslims can do with the Kuffar as they please in areas they control just like the Kuffar was a dog or livestock.

And don't look at me like that just because I understand Sharia.

If liberals keep ascribing their own wishful motives to these things, if they fail to open their eyes and see what is right in front of them to satisfy their sense fairness, they will be the next one on the ground feeling the cold steel cut through their necks.

Because the rioters don't think of them as anything except useful idiots. Well maybe cowards too.

HATE cleric Anjem Choudary yesterday admitted the Woolwich butcher was one of his disciples — and praised his “impeccable character”.

Bile-spewing Choudary acknowledged he helped turn Michael Adebolajo to extremism and that the machete monster was only “making his voice heard in blood”.

The preacher — still free as a bird despite brazenly inspiring terrorists for a DECADE — claimed he did not “condone” the attack that left soldier Lee Rigby dead.

Choudary said of Wednesday’s atrocity by Adebolajo and fellow fanatic Michael Oluwatobi Adebowale: “What he did was unusual and it’s not the view I propagate but those views are out there.

“Some members of the Muslim community struggle to express themselves and he is making his voice heard in blood.”

His comments come three months after The Sun secretly filmed Choudary, who is a British citizen, teaching extremists to “rise up” against non-believers.

We caught the father of four, who The Sun revealed has claimed £25,000 a year in welfare, urging fanatics not to ignore “jihad and fighting”, and labelling David Cameron the devil.

It was just the latest example of Choudary being at the centre of terror plots — leading experts to demand why police are guilty of “a gross derogation of duty” by turning a blind eye towards him.

The Sun handed cops a detailed dossier of Choudary’s terrorist training methods after publication of our expose on February 17. We met detectives at their request on March 6 and handed over reams of paperwork and DVDs of secret recordings of the preacher’s rants.

On March 26 Thames Valley Police-based officers announced they would mount no case — saying the material we provided “fell below an evidential threshold”.

The second Muslim convert who allegedly executed Lee Rigby in Woolwich has been identified as Michael Adebowale, a probation officer’s son radicalised as a teenager, it emerged today.

The 22-year-old British citizen of Nigerian descent and Michael Adebolajo, 28, ran the soldier down with their car before ‘hacking, chopping and cutting’ at his body like ‘crazed animals’ screaming ‘Allah Akbar!’ – an Islamic phrase meaning ‘God is great’, witnesses said.

With Rigby’s body left in the street Adebolajo ranted on film: ‘You people will never be safe’ before the pair waited 14 minutes for armed police to arrive and were gunned down waving firearms, knives and a machete.

Both have been been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in hospital in a stable condition with Scotland Yard waiting to interview them[...]

Details about the 22-year-old are still emerging, but it is understood he and his girlfriend, a fellow convert, were well known in south-east London for handing out extremist leaflets[...]

They had been considered “lone wolves”. But MI5 and Scotland Yard’s counter-terrorism officers are trying to find out if they are part of a terror cell that could carry out further atrocities.

One of the killers was picked up by police last year as he tried to leave the country, apparently on his way to join al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab fighters in Somalia[...]

Two men have been arrested for making alleged offensive comments on Twitter after the murder of a British soldier.

MailOnline understands the pair had tweeted using inflammatory language and were trying to organise an anti-Muslim protest in Bristol following the execution of Drummer Lee Rigby, 25, in Woolwich two days ago.

Complaints were made to Avon and Somerset Police about remarks that appeared on the social networking website, which were of a racist or anti-religious nature.

Let me see if I understand this... Two Muslims citing the Quran butcher an innocent non-Muslim man in the street, but it's two Twitter users who are "inciting religious hatred"?

This is the world in which we live. Journalists are more frightened of rowdy protesters than remorseless murderers, politicians cater to a hateful religious ideology, and a religiously motivated murder isn't incitement, but a tweet expressing outrage is.

Naturally, that Twitter crackdown doesn't apply to those really inciting religious hatred. In case you were worried about that...
