Hi Guys, It's me Ashleigh! Now I know what your thinking, oh no not this guy again with his long winded spin type post that seemed to go on forever that you don't want to ever read it cause it's soooo long. Where believe me, the same is true abut me. I do not like to read over the long post, specially after a long hard say at work :P
I recently came across a site directed to me be a good friend Rookiee. Yeah I know, how can someone who I never met in real life be a good friend? Well to answer that! Kinship and a common ground. :)
Well onto the site, which is called Pushing back, in connection to the Perverted Justice fame. Now don't get me wrong, what they are doing is VERY helpful on protecting the smallest amongst us, namely our or Societies "Children" as it were. But at what cost? Is this "so-called" HELP destroying what might be a life long healthy relationship, along with STOPPING the Predators? You decide...
On Wikipedia,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Child_sexuality it says,
Child and youth sexuality refers to sexual behavior and activity among children. This is a highly controversial subject in western society. Sexual acts among children and/or juveniles are sometimes interpreted as child sexual abuse and responded to with therapy or detention. Due to the taboo surrounding youth sexuality and related legal and political constraints, little research has been conducted on the subject.
Substantial data regarding what is age-appropriate and normal have not been compiled since the Kinsey Reports, which are surrounded by controversy especially regarding their findings on child sexuality. There are many post below that can be added by anyone, and the old post are immediately stored away in the history of that post...
Empirical knowledge about child sexual behaviour is not gathered by direct interviews of children, but almost exclusively by observations of third persons and by retrospective narrations, because the topic is taboo. Additionally, despite (or perhaps because of) public interest about the topic of child sexual abuse, research about child sexuality nearly stopped during the 1980s and 1990s.
Thus study and interpretation of child sexuality depends especially on the observer and it is likely that cultural biases affect that interpretation, for example, that of the common image of the asexual child. Layers of indirection and bias in study leave conclusions to be as inexact as the method of observation. Further difficulty in this field of study is that child sexuality often is not recognized or is reinterpreted as infant play or just physical exploration. It is also unknown what child sexual behaviour is consistent with a statistical norm. However even a statistical norm would not be significant, because the variety of human sexual behaviour does not fit into a single norm (example: homosexuality).I encourage you to read all the many different post. Even the ones in the
history.
Now on shows like Pushing Back, Oprah, etc... while they wish to help children, are in Fact stealing their very freedom to exist and think for themselves by saying the they cannot consent. Parents treat they're children as property, cause that child is their "off Spring" that may be true, and with the Religious Right, they "Groom" the children to conform to they're ideals and values, no matter how perverse, taken away the child's free will by the fear of going to Hell. Before you Judge this post, take a LONG HARD look around , at yourself, your children, your youth friends. Are you doing for them the best possible service in what your taking away from them...Namely they're own bodies, and the right to do with it as they please, and with whom they wish - child or adult.
That Is All! See now that wasn't so bad. And alot of this post was my own thoughts :P so long and goodnight.
your friend,
Ashleigh
