Sarah Palin Makes First 2014 Endorsement : Katrina Pierson for Texas CD32

Katrina-Pierson-US-Congress (1)-250.pngIn her very first endorsement of 2014, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has endorsed Texas Tea Party activist Katrina Pierson in the uphill battle to unseat 17-year establishment incumbent Pete Sessions.

Gov. Palin joins Michelle Malkin, Glenn Reynolds, Rafael Cruz, Sr., FreedomWorks, Tea Party Express, Tea Party Nation, the Republican Liberty Caucus and many other conservative and liberty-minded groups and individuals supporting Pierson.

While stopping short of a full formal endorsement, Senator Ted Cruz has publicly declared that Pierson is "an utterly fearless, principled conservative."

Pete Sessions, the 17-year incumbent in the race, has long been a thorn in the side of conservatives. For the past year, he has been using his position to block the move for a House Select Committee to investigate Benghazi. Sessions is a strong ally of Speaker John Boehner, and has voted against conservatives on many key votes, including Medicare Part D, the Wall Street Bailout, the Fiscal Cliff tax increases, Obama's NSA warrantless surveillance programs, the Farm Bill and the Omnibus Spending Bill, among many others. Last year, Sessions used his position as Rules Chairman to block an effort by House conservatives to defund ObamaCare.

Pierson's website is at KatrinaForCongress.com.

The primary election will be held March 4th.

Chris Christie: Conservative Bloggers Favorite

I tried to participate in the poll, but I was at home and the iPhone didn't have the right plug in. However, I did pick Chris Christie as my favorite GOP candidate which is exactly in line with the rest of the rightosphere.

Despite Sarah Palin's conservative bona fides she is deficient in one area: articulation.

Let's just face it, she's like Bush in that she's just not very well spoken.

And if there's one thing we need right now it is an articulate spokesman for the most important (by far) issue of the day: the national debt crisis.

All other issues are secondary to that one, and in the context of the current crisis they are a distant second. As much as I like Sarah Palin, I just don't see her convincing people to give up their place at the government trough.

We now return to our regularly scheduled terrorism related blogging.

Palin on Alaska Reporters: 'Corrupt Bast**ds' (Updated)

Oh my, heh:

Regarding Joe Miller: Anchorage CBS Affiliate Caught on Voicemail Conspiring Against Alaska's GOP Candidate :

Corrupt bastages indeed!

Update: *Those who gave a platform to a person who defamed Jawa Report embarrass selves even more - if that's possible:

Both Politico and the *Washington Post appear content to embarrass themselves by pushing a response from CBS-KTVA which Ed Morrissey termed “absurd,” in addition to some propaganda and an attempt at obfuscation from the Soros-funded Media Matters in its weak attempts to attack the messenger, be that Breitbart, Inc., or former Governor Sarah Palin.

We stand fully behind the original posting and view KTVA’s response as unserious, amounting to little more than, who are you going to believe, us or your lying ears?

KYVA's response "yah, we said that but"....

Chuckie chimes in: Another Andrew Breitbart Edited Tape?

Andrew Breitbart’s Big Government site is promoting another outrageous outrage today, claiming that reporters for Alaska TV station KTVA were caught on tape plotting to damage Joe Miller’s campaign.

After Breitbart’s smear campaigns against ACORN and Shirley Sherrod using edited and out of context recordings, what are the odds that this is another bogus hit piece?

Chuckie I knew you when...before you banned me. Nice to see you making a fool of yourself now for all to see....

Sarah Palin Endorses Doug Hoffman in New York 23

As y'all know, there's a knock-down, drag-out fight in New York's 23rd Congressional District. Fred Thompson and Dick Armey are duking it out with Pete Sessions and Newt Gingrich.

Sarah Palin has not weighed in--until now. This was just posted to The Weekly Standard and Sarah Palin's Facebook page:

Doug Hoffman stands for the principles that all Republicans should share: smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and a commitment to individual liberty.

Political parties must stand for something. When Republicans were in the wilderness in the late 1970s, Ronald Reagan knew that the doctrine of "blurring the lines" between parties was not an appropriate way to win elections. Unfortunately, the Republican Party today has decided to choose a candidate who more than blurs the lines, and there is no real difference between the Democrat and the Republican in this race. This is why Doug Hoffman is running on the Conservative Party's ticket.

Republicans and conservatives around the country are sending an important message to the Republican establishment in their outstanding grassroots support for Doug Hoffman: no more politics as usual.

You can help Doug by visiting his official website below and joining me in supporting his campaign:

Astroturfing Sarah Palin

The little note about YouTube constantly pulling the video is annoying, but it's worth the watch.

To be honest, I was kind of scratching my head through some of this. Of course those who are constantly haranguing Sarah Palin aren't the "independents" the MSM portrays them as. But isn't this what partisans do? You know, engage in partisan politics. It will come as news only to those who are clueless about how "grassroots" campaigns really work.

But it's worth the watch if only to show that these so-called "independent" complaint-filers are nothing of the sort. They are partisans and more: left-wing activists.

The next time one of your buddies tells you that they saw a report on MSNBC last night about an "independent" investigation revealing more ethical lapses by Palin, considered yourself armed for battle.

Now, what I'd really like to see is some more evidence that David "Astroturf" Axelrod was involved in the coordination of this "independent grass roots movement" against Sarah Palin. Something that would color me least surprised man on Earth.

Thanks to Gary.

Max Blumenthal: My Interview With Malcolm X's Daughter On Zawahiri, Obama

Malcolm X's daughter was upset about Zawahiri mentioning her father in the tape. She compared Zawahiri to Nation of Islam Louis Farrakhan.

The day after the release of Zawahiri’s tape, I[Max Blumenthal] interviewed Malaak Shabazz, the youngest daughter of Malcolm X. Malaak never knew her father. When a Malcolm X was gunned him down in the Audobon Ballroom on February 21, 1965, Malaak was still in her mother’s womb. Since the accidental burning death of her mother, Betty Shabazz, in 1997, 43-year-old Malaak has come into her own, emerging as a torchbearer of her parents’ legacy.

“Looking at the Obamas, it’s like my father and my mother 43 years later,” Malcolm X’s daughter said.

Together with her sisters—she has five of them—and Dowoti Desir, the former daughter-in-law of actors Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, Malaak oversees the Malcolm X and Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center, a museum that was constructed at the site of Malcolm X’s assassination. In keeping with her father’s late-in-life internationalism, Malaak works at the United Nations, focusing on aid to women and children in developing nations. “I’m basically a global community organizer,” she said.

Malaak had not seen the Zawahiri tape by the time I called her. When I explained what Zawahiri said, she reacted angrily, immediately comparing the Al Qaeda figure to Louis Farrakhan, the Nation of Islam chieftain who was an avowed enemy of her father and has admitted he “may have been complicit” in inciting his murder. Malaak has nothing but praise for Barack Obama. She is a self-proclaimed “diehard Obama supporter” who sees the incoming first couple as a vision of “my mother and father 43 years later.”

EXCLUSIVE: Ex-brother-in-law of the brother of estranged wife of Palin lover is "insider" with knowledge of affair

A family "insider" who knows Palin had an affair because ..... his ex-brother in law's brother's sister's estranged husband was the guy. Did I get that "insider" relationship right? Seriously, this sounds complicated:

Burdett is a former brother-in-law of Hanson’s estranged wife Carolyn's brother, Craig Batton, and still speaks with many family members.

“I’ve known about Brad having had an affair for a long time, but it wasn’t until just recently that I learned his affair was with Sarah Palin,” Burdett told The NATIONAL ENQUIRER.

He swore it. In an affidavit. It must be true.

Funny enough, I used to get people begging me to link stuff about how Larry Sinclair swore in an affidavit and was ready to take a lie detector test over the truth (TRUTH!!) that he "took drugs, had homo sex with Obama".

I never linked it because it was teh stooopid. But, since I guess this kind of slime is now in play, there it is. And no, I don't believe Sinclair. Never did. Just like I don't believe this guy Burdett.

Lessons on Intelligence from a Double Poster

The Atlantic's "reported" blog pontificates about how "it takes a willful suspension of belief to assume that the Obama campaign is stupid", and then duplicates the article in the body of the post. Here we go:

For example -- the videos were poorly hidden and easily traceable. (eswinner) -- It's easy on YouTube to be sneaky about these things. The videos' creators did not take pains to hide the videos until citizen journalists called them out, and the hasty effort to take them down suggests that that no organized thought was given to a "cover up" -- which, in these cases, is always more outrageous than the crimes.

Second -- using the same voice over artist... if you were intent on creating stealth videos, you'd be monumentally stupid to use a recognizable voice over artist - or one that's worked for the Obama campaign before.

Out: Palin is too Christian!
In: Palin is Anti-Christ!

Or, if not the anti-Christ herself, at least the "harlot" from the Book of Revelations. There's nothing like a post on Sarah Palin's alleged ties to the John Birch society to bring out the creeps on that point of the political fringe where the nuts on the left and right collide.

Looks like "The Insidious Prophet", who left the comment, is just cutting and pasting from a chain e-mail, but it's the kind of kooky that is borderline funny. I've always been fascinated with conspiracy theories and eschatology, and this brings both together. I used to love to argue with the Lyndon LaRouche supporters. The kind of people who saw pretty much everyone as the anti-Christ: Zbigniew Brzezinski, Ronald Reagan, Mikhail Gorbechev, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush --- each in turn.

Posted for entertainment purposes only:

Beware Christians, do not be fooled by those who boast of their christianity, especially political parties. Is Sarah Palin The Harlot From The Book Of Revelations?

In Revelations John speaks of a vision in which he saw a woman, an unfaithful woman, a harlot, coming out of the wilderness riding a scarlet beast.

* Does this woman, this unfaithful woman, this harlot represent Sarah Palin? She did have an affair with her husbands former business partner.

* Does the wilderness represent the wilderness of Alaska or the State of Alaska?

* Does the color scarlet represent the republican party (Red)?

* Does the scarlet beast represent our government which has been seduced by Satan and controlled by counterfeit christians who have taken over the republican party (Red)?

That's some funny stuff right there!

Sarah Palin Was John Bircher?

Politico's Ben Smith takes up rumors that Sarah Palin was a member of the John Birch Society.

Where would he get such an idea? Hmmmmmmmmm.

I just happened to have been forwarded an e-mail to the DU post earlier by a rabid Obama supporter trying to convince me that Sarah Palin is a right-wing lunatic. The original "gotcha" find was posted here and quickly went viral in lefty circles -- including several Kos diaries linking it and tying the accusation to false rumors circulating that Sarah Palin belonged to the secessionist Alaskan Independence Party.

The problem with that theory, of course, is that while the photo in question does show a John Birch publication it appears to have been a newsletter designed not to let the reader know that. It was called, "American Opinion" -- hardly a giveaway.

Further, the publication argues against a new "Constitutional Conventiona" ("Con-Con Call" = "Consitutional Convention Call"), a popular idea among Westerners back in the mid-1990s when one was supporter by the man pictured on the cover: Utah Governor Mike Leavitt who was then Chair of the National Governor's Association.

As the man who wrote the article notes:

"Any attempt to link her to the John Birch Society would be ridiculous," he said of speculation to that effect on a liberal blog that first noticed the magazine.

"We sent thousands of copies of that newsletter out to all kinds of people trying to forestall the constitutional convention," he recalled. "The plan at that time was for us to send copies of that newsletter to county commissioners, mayors, state legislators, local officials."

So, the John Birchers opposed the "radical" plan (as the DUers are calling it) to call a Constitutional Convention (found in Article VII of that "radical" document the Constitution of the United States) and sent thousands of newsletters to local politicians stating the case against it.

The question that I have here is not so much about the Left's desire to believe all sorts of conspiracy theories about Sarah Palin, but about a) how these theories are spread and b) how it is that media types are so plugged in to lefty accusations but so out-of-the loop on right-wing memes?

It's almost as if Politico's Ben Smith is a member of the Democratic Underground, a dKoser, or on a lefty mailing list -- you know, normal stuff for journalists.....

Palin Hacker Identified?Claims E-Mails Are Proof Palin Did No Wrong [UPDATE: DAVID KERNELL, Son of Democratic Lawmaker, Being Investigated]

I'm getting bombarded with e-mails claiming that at least one of the persons responsible for hacking into Sarah Palin's personal e-mail account is David Kernell, the son of Tennessee state representative Democrat Mike Kernell.

The evidence is that the hacker responsible uses the e-mail: rubico10@yahoo.com .

That email was used at one time by a person named David Kernell. Democratic politician Mike Kernell has a son named David.

Pretty thin, but it's a starting place.

CRITICAL UPDATE too important to put at the end and which merits bumping this post to the top: Ace is running the flaming skull -- Meet the Palin Hacker -- and pointing to Gateway Pundit who quotes a local news source in TN:

Kernell, a Memphis Democrat, said his 20-year-old son David had been contacted by authorities investigating the hacking of Palin’s personal e-mail account, the newspaper reported on its Web site this afternoon.
Hmmmm....... Yes, it's still in the evidence stage, but the evidence keeps -- what's that phrase? oh, yeah -- mounting.

Another update too important to bury at the bottom of the post: Palin's family hacked too?

Law enforcement officials are investigating claims that the private e-mail accounts of the Republican vice presidential candidate’s family and staff were also compromised.
If you can't find e-mails showing Palin was covering up "troopergate", then I guess you go after e-mails revealing who Trig's "real" mom was?

One more update: FBI's Memphis office, where Mike grew up and where his dad still lives, confirms being involved in the probe.

Also, earlier I posted that it would be relatively easy to track down the Palin hacker by comparing the Wikileak IPs to the IPs recorded by the proxy server. I had some of the facts of this wrong, but it looks like "rubico" may not have been the person to upload the e-mails to Wikileak.

Also, "rubico" claims that a) he was trying to dig up dirt on Palin by hacking into her e-mails b) he found no dirt in the e-mails.

A Michelle Malkin reader is active at the website where the hacker first uploaded the material, and it isn't Wikileak. It's probable that the hacker took the emails to this particular website, and then other users uploaded it to Wikileak.

More importantly Malkin's reader--who also appears to be a hacker or a person in internet security --also forwards the following from original hacker who claims he was looking for dirt on Palin -- but didn't find any!

Which is exactly the point I've been making from the beginning: that the content of the e-mails uploaded are such non-big deals as to make the accusation from the Left that "Palin was trying to hide something" more than just a silly claim -- it's an outright lies! Rubico notes:

I read though the emails… ALL OF THEM… before I posted, and what I concluded was anticlimactic, there was nothing there, nothing incriminating, nothing that would derail her campaign as I had hoped, all I saw was personal stuff, some clerical stuff from when she was governor…. And pictures of her family ....

Earlier it was just some prank to me, I really wanted to get something incriminating which I was sure there would be, just like all of you anon out there that you think there was some missed opportunity of glory, well there WAS NOTHING, I read everything, every little blackberry confirmation… all the pictures, and there was nothing

Plot getting thicker......

Palin Hackers Close to Being PWNED

UPDATE: Palin Hacker identified as DAVID KERNELL, Son of Democratic Lawmaker. O-W-N-E-D?

The partisan petty thieves who hacked into Sarah Palin's e-mail account will be found. As is the case off most hackers of this sort, they were careless enough to leave easily traceable IP information. And even though they used a proxy server to try to cover up their tracks, the owner of the proxy service says he's ready and willing to cooperate with law enforcement.

The Register:

The 25-year-old webmaster and entrepreneur is the operator of Ctunnel.com, the browsing proxy service used by the group that hacked into the vice presidential candidate's personal email account and exposed its contents to the world. While he has yet to examine his logs, he says there's a good chance they will lead to those responsible, thanks to some carelessness on their part. ...

To prevent abuse of the service - such as the occasional bomb threat or other illegal act that's been known to happen - Ramuglia logs each user's IP address, along with the time and web destination. That often isn't enough to track down people who access extremely popular websites. But in this case, the perpetrators included a whole string of random-looking characters when posting screenshots of Palin's hacked account. That will probably be enough for him to pinpoint the proverbial needle in the haystack.

And if that doesn't do it, the hackers had to then upload the material they stole to Wikileak. Opening a Yahoo email account via a proxy is pretty straightforward and had the hackers not been so careless as to take a screenshot revealing traceable info in the url field, they probably would have gotten away with it. But uploading & downloading large files is much harder to do via proxy. Trust me on this. I, er, know.

So comparing Ctunnel's IP/MAC addresses with those on Wikileak's servers should be pretty easy to match up. And from their you're only a patrol car away from arresting the felons.

And Anonymous, watch out for your cornhole, bud.

Thanks to Stable Hand.

New Palin Scandal: She Used Personal Email to Email Politicos!

Hackers break into Sarah Palin's private e-mail, and then leak the contents to the internet. The scandal isn't that a VP candidates e-mails were illegally hacked. No, the real scandal here is that Sarah Palin was using her private e-mail account to contact other politicos!

Wow, that's some "scandal" you have there. Who the hell hasn't used their personal email account for business, or business email for personal use.

Seriously, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

And the content of allegedly scandalous emails seems rather tame, to say the least. This is a scandal?

As Paul McNamura says of the leaked e-mails:

"As for the sample e-mails, rather than bolstering the contention that
Palin uses private e-mail to avoid possible public scrutiny of
official business, at first blush they actually seem indicative of her
dutifully separating Alaska business from Alaska and national
politics. Both samples are overtly political in nature, which, based
on my admittedly limited understanding of the law in this area, make
them inappropriate when using government resources."
The real scandal as noted by Michelle Malkin is that the emails were hacked in the first place.

I'm busy following the latest al Qaeda non-release release of the 9/11 video, but the link to Michelle above and Allah's link should keep you occupied for awhile.

UPDATE: So I'm told the "real" scandal is that Palin denied using her personal email account. It's the "denial" that's the scandal. Um, WTF? Seriously, if I'm following this correctly she denied using her personal email so she could write embarassing stuff that could hurt her politically and couldn't be tracked.

The emails I've seen aren't scandalous at all. Certainly nothing that could be construed as Palin trying to hide them from scrutiny. Pretty mundane stuff.

UPDATE: Yet again I ask "where's the scandal"?? Now I'm told it's not the denial, it's that the personal email account was being used to hide evidence from a subpoena.

Obama Camp Shrieking About 1320 Feet

Did the lovely Sarah go to Iraq? That's the burning question of the day for the Obama camp. She attended a re-enlistment ceremony during her trip to the Kuwaiti border with Iraq. And the question is whether she went a quarter mile across the border or not.

Yahoo: On Saturday, a Palin aide told The Associated Press the governor also traveled one-quarter mile into Iraq during her July 2007 trip to participate in a re-enlistment ceremony for a member of the Alaska National Guard. ....The (Boston) Globe said campaign aides and members of the Alaska National Guard subsequently explained that she did not venture beyond the Iraq/Kuwait border when she visited the Khabari Alawazem Crossing on July 25, 2007....

The discrepancy prompted a blistering memorandum to campaign reporters by aides to Democratic nominee Barack Obama..."Since naming Gov. Palin as their vice presidential nominee, the McCain campaign has distorted, distracted and outright lied to the American people about her record..."

They've got to be kidding. At least she didn't say it was seared, seared into her memory...

Palin Smear Attack Ad Claims Palin a Secessionist, Implies America Hatred

***Bumped until we find out who's behind this***

While searching for the Sarah Palin ABC interview, I ran across this attack ad. It looks professionally done to me. Like someone was paid to do the voice over. Pretty slimy, eh?

So, who's behind the video I wonder?

It claims that Sarah & Todd Palin were members of the Alaskan Independence Party and cites The New York Times for that source. Then it quotes the founder of that Party with some pretty anti-American stuff.

But here's what FactCheck.org says about that:

She was never a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, a group that wants Alaskans to vote on whether they wish to secede from the United States. She’s been registered as a Republican since May 1982.
And The New York Times was forced to retract their earlier claim that Palin was a member of the party, blaming the error on the party's chair.

So again I ask, who's behind this?

Full Video: Sarah Palin on ABC News

The much discussed Sarah Palin interview by Charlie Gibson on ABC News tonight. I don't know how long it will be up, but I know I wasn't near a TV when it aired so maybe some of you haven't seen it either. My first time viewing in 3 ... 2 ...1.

Pt. 1

Pt. 2

I'm spent on being outraged by the media. Feel free to leave comments.

Obama: 'Lipstick on a pig'(Barry crossed the line)

Ben Smith is reporting on the Politico blog this evening Obama at a gathering in Lebanon, VA had this to say..

Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin's new "change" mantra.

"You can put lipstick on a pig," he said as the crowd cheered. "It's still a pig."

"You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still gonna stink."

"We've had enough of the same old thing."

The crowd apparently took the "lipstick" line as a reference to Palin, who described the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull in a single word: "lipstick."

This one was over the line...read the comments at Politico 500 posts and counting....Captain Bullshit stepped in it this time.

UPDATE by Rusty: Video added.

I talked to Newbie about this offline and frankly I don't think it's as big a deal as people are making it out to be. So, I'm with AllahP (in the updates) on this one. Innocent remark and part of the larger McCain = Bush 3 angle that he's been pushing for months.

I still don't get why the McCain people aren't pushing the 'Obama is the most liberal/partisan guy in the Senate' thing. Or that Obama has consistently been weak on defense, with policy positions that make John Kerry seem Hawkish and Jimmy Carter seem like the reasoned old sage of Atlanta. Both are sure fire winners, and the kind of truth that doesn't need a stretch, spin, or faux outrage.

Especially when the Left continues to attack Palin and her minor children in direct and genuinely outrageous ways.
