Hurriyet Daily News:

A 16-year-old girl was buried alive by relatives in southeastern Turkey in a gruesome honor killing carried out because she reportedly befriended boys, the Anatolia news agency reported Thursday.

Acting on a tip, police discovered the body of the girl, identified only as M.M., in a sitting position with her hands tied, in a 2-meter-deep hole dug under a chicken pen outside her house in Kahta, a town in the southeastern province of Adıyaman, the news agency reported.

The body was found in December, around 40 days after M.M. went missing. She is being identified by her initials because she was under the age of 18. Her father and grandfather are suspected in the murder.

A subsequent postmortem examination revealed that M.M. had a significant amount of soil in her lungs and stomach, indicating that she was buried alive and conscious....

She want's President Obama to help her.

FOXNEWS: Cairo (AINA) -- 15-year-old Egyptian girl Dina el-Gowhary, who converted from Islam to Christianity, has sent a plea to President Obama, complaining of mistreatment by the Egyptian Government and asking for his mediation. "Mr President Obama," she writes, "we are a minority in Egypt. We are treated very badly. You said that the Muslim minority in America are treated very well, so why are we not treated here likewise? We are imprisoned in our own home because Muslim clerics called for the murder of my father, and now the Government has set for us a new prison, we are imprisoned in our own country."

As you can see there are few stories about the intolerance of Coptic Christians in Egypt.

Why is it that the more liberal outlets who would call for tolerance of the very same people who are killing these Christians not call them on it? Ignore it.

This is contrary to all our values.

Texan Maron Thomas, recent convert to Islam, goes on rampage and decapitates 2yr niece with machete after killing her and four other family members.

Thomas' sister, Ka'Tara Price, 24, of Houston, said she believes anger and Thomas' conversion to the Muslim religion influenced his actions. She said she is not aware of him suffering from any mental illness.

"It's anger and pure evilness," Price said Wednesday night. "He's always been a very angry person. If he thinks he's right, he's right."...

A 16 year old might lose her eye for chatting on MSN. Caught while on her computer in December, she was beaten and locked up at home in the Paris suburb of Saint-Gratien (Val d'oise). With their parents' permission, both strict Muslims, her two brothers (28 and 32) allegedly punished the victim. The four held a family meeting to avoid legal repercussions.

The brothers and parents [ed: according to one report, the mother was not charged] appeared before a magistrate in Pontoise yesterday, charged with willful violence, kidnapping or more than seven days and neglect.

Volker Steffens, head of the Thomas-Morus high-school says that twice girls with headscarves punched blond fellow students without headscarves, pushed them to the ground and kicked them.

About 80% of the 500 students in the school are of foreign origin, representing 41 nations. The principal says that once a headscarf-wearing girl muslima[FTFY...ed] tried to set fire to the hair of another blond student, and that the victims are mostly Polish.

Rita Herrmanns of the Berlin school authority says that[Islamic...ed] fundamentalist tendencies have been taking over in Berlin schools as well in recent years. Increasingly, more girls wear headscarves, more Muslim parents forbid their daughters from participating in class trips, swimming and sex-ed classes.

Principal Volker Steffens who sees the consequences on the front lines says that Islamist tendencies and direct racist attacks by girls are striking.

Security forces and political administration officials cordoned off the area after the attack, which local officials blamed on the militant group Lashkar-e-Islam (Army of Islam).

The Al-Qaeda-linked Shebab group’s religious police in the Somali city of Kismayo flogged a man for flirting and another for having a “secret marriage”, an official said yesterday.

They received 15 and 39 lashes respectively in front of a crowd in central Kismayo, a large southern harbour which has been under Shebab administration since mid-2008 and where a strict form of Sharia is enforced.

“One of the young men was found engaging in secret wedlock which is illegal under Islamic law,” Sheikh Mohamed Moalim, a senior Shebab official, said from Kismayo.

“The other one was found seducing a lady alone. Both of them confessed to the charges in front of a court and they were publicly punished,” he said.

The flogging took place over the weekend.

Muslims in the West constantly squeal about the supposed intolerance and mistreatment in Europe and the US. Switzerland, for example, recently imposed a ban on the construction of minarets. There were angry reactions in many Islamic countries, including Turkey. But what happens when the shoe is on the other foot? How tolerant are Turks towards the Christian minority in their own country?

Mogadishu - Religious police from Somalia's al-Qaeda-inspired al-Shabab group arrested and jailed dozens of men in the southern city of Kismayo for shaving their beards, officials said on Friday.

(Dubai) A 23-year-old British woman, a Muslim of Pakistani descent, reported a rape to Dubai police who immediately arrested her for illegal sex. She also admitted to drinking alcohol. She faces up to six years' prison.

While recognizing the seriousness of the rape charge, I suggest it would be prudent for a Muslim female with any sense of self-preservation to specifically avoid hints of being Westernized when visiting a Muslim nation.

Otherwise, she's at risk of historically-proven consequences.

(Boston, Massachusetts) The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Services has banned face coverings by students and employees.

In response, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission alleging that the policy has a "a disproportionate impact on the religious rights of Muslim employees.”

The purpose of the ban is reportedly to protect students and employees from being attacked.

Jakob Scharf said in a statement that a 28-year-old man with ties to al-Qaida attempted to enter Kurt Westergaard's home in Aarhus shortly after 10 p.m. (2100 GMT) on Friday. But Westergaard pressed an alarm and police arrived minutes later, foiling the attempt on his life.

"The arrested man has according to PET's information close relations to the Somali terrorist group, al-Shabaab, and al-Qaida leaders in eastern Africa," Scharf said. The PET is Denmark's intelligence agency.

...Westergaard could not be reached for comment. However, he told his employer, the Jyllands-Posten daily, that the assailant shouted "revenge" and "blood" as he tried to enter the bathroom where Westergaard and the child had sought shelter.

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AFP) – The Taliban blew up a girls' school in Pakistan's Khyber district, where troops are fighting against militants in the tribal region bordering Afghanistan, an official said Wednesday.

Militants detonated explosives overnight at the government-run school in Bazgarah town, about 40 kilometres (25 miles) west of Peshawar, capital of the violence-plagued North West Frontier Province.

"The building had 21 rooms. All have been completely demolished," local administration chief Shafeerullah Wazir told AFP by telephone.

There were no casualties because the property was empty at the time.

"Taliban and their local allies are responsible. They are destroying educational institutions to avenge the military operation against their hideouts in the area," said Wazir.

"This was the ninth educational institution blown up in Khyber over the past six weeks," he added.

Islamist militants opposed to co-education and subscribers to sharia law have destroyed hundreds of schools, mostly for girls, in northwest Pakistan in recent years.

A Royal British Legion boss says vandals have “dishonoured those who have given their lives for our country” by defacing Burton's war memorial. Roy Whenman, vice-chairman of the town’s Legion branch, received calls from members saying an extremist message had been written on the statue.

Having been informed at 9.20am, borough council chiefs had cleaned the graffiti from the relic, situated outside Burton College, in Lichfield Street, by 9.40am.

Mr Whenman, of Birches Close, Stretton, has described whoever committed the offence as “diabolical”.

The caption reads, "Islam will dominate the world. Osama....", I can't quite make out the rest after Osama. Maybe you can there is a larger copy of the image at Interested Participant.

A father has been jailed for life to serve a minimum tariff of 22 years for murdering his daughter, 15, in a so-called honour killing.

Tulay Goren disappeared in 1999 after having a relationship with a man who her family disapproved of.

At the Old Bailey, her father Mehmet, 49, was convicted of murder earlier. His brothers Cuma Goren, 42, and Ali Goren, 55, were cleared of the charge.

As you might recall this old woman is being prosecuted for distributing bread to men who are not her immediate relatives from her home. Although she is appealing on the grounds that she once breastfed one of the men as a child and under Sharia that makes her a relative, or something. Sharia confuses me some times.

Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for Friday's bombing of a mosque in Rawalpindi and vowed to carry out more attacks, according to an e-mail message from the group.

The assault targeted a mosque frequented by Pakistani military personnel, and killed 36 and wounded 75, the military said.

The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan took responsibility for the action on Friday but reiterated its claim in an e-mail to CNN on Saturday because media outlets quoted analysts and some officials who doubted the group's participation.

Right up till Pakistani public opinion of blowing up Allah's house turns against them, then expect another release disavowing the murders and a finder pointed at the Zionists and Blackwater.

Four Islamic Terrorists opened fire attacking a Mosque in Rawalpindi today.

CNN: Militants armed with guns and grenades attacked a mosque during midday prayers in Rawalpindi on Friday, killing dozens of people, authorities said.

At least 36 people were killed and another 45 were wounded, said Gen. Athar Abbas, a Pakistani military spokesman. Rawalpindi's police chief said 40 were killed.

Four militants carried out the attack, Abbas said. Two were suicide bombers who blew themselves up inside the mosque; the other two were shot and killed by security forces outside the mosque.

"These are terrorists who killed innocent worshippers," he said

Madrid, Spain (CNN) -- Three Spanish aid workers kidnapped in Mauritania appear to have been abducted by al Qaeda, Spain's interior minister said Monday.

"Everything points" to al Qaeda as being responsible for the kidnapping, Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba, the interior minister, told reporters in Brussels, a senior aide traveling with Rubalcaba told CNN.

Rubalcaba said he was not absolutely certain it was al Qaeda, but added that he's concerned that "we are facing a kidnapping by Islamic radicals."

Reportedly, the skirt hung between the knee and ankle and was quite appropriate in Kashif's community. However, the Sudanese Islamic morality police thought differently.

A masked gunman entered a Russian Orthodox church in Moscow Nov. 19 and shot a priest who had been preaching to Muslims and warning about the growing Muslim minority in Russia, according to an article in this morning’s New York Times.

Father Daniil Sysoyev, 34, died on his way to hospital. The church’s choir master also had been injured in the attack and was in the hospital under armed guard.

Father Sysoyev had been receiving death threats for some time because he was converting Muslims and criticizing Islam, prosecutors and Church officials said. But that didn’t stop him.

In a February 2008 television interview, he said he had received 10 threats by e-mail for decapitation if he did not stop preaching to Muslims.

“As I see it, it is not a sin to preach to Muslims,” said Father Sysoyev, who was originally from Tatarstan, a predominantly Muslim area on the Volga River.

If Islam is so perfect,why does it fear the preaching of other religious values so?

Turkish people strongly identify themselves as religious and also regard religion as a source of tolerance. But when it comes to religious worship, a significant number are not as tolerant of people from other religions, concludes a survey released Tuesday...

The findings on tolerance toward religions are remarkable as well. Ninety percent of the Turkish population reported having a positive view toward Muslims, but this ratio dropped to 13 percent for Christians and around 10 percent for Jews. Those who said they have highly positive views about non-believers of any religion totaled 7 percent.

When it comes to accepting political candidates from different religions, 37 percent of Turks said they would absolutely not accept this and 12 percent said they would most likely not accept it. However, 23 percent said they would absolutely accept it and 24 percent say they would probably accept it. Eleven percent of Turks said people from different religions should absolutely be allowed to organize public meetings to express their ideas, while 24 percent said they should be allowed to do so.

Thirty-six percent said people from different religions absolutely should not be allowed to organize such meetings, while 23 percent said they should not be allowed to do so.

Of course the exclusion of non-Muslims from high-ranking positions of government is standard Islamic law, and there is no freedom of speech or religion is Islam for non-Muslims both doctrinally or practically.

So why not let them into the EU?

(Rome, Italy) Through a local hospitality agency, Libyan dictator Colonel Muammar Gaddafi arranged mysterious meetings with 500 of Italy's most glamorous hostesses.

Officially, Gaddafi went to Rome to attend the World Food Summit but, while there, he decided to try and get hot Italian babes to become Muslim converts. He lectured on the superiority of Islam and had his female staff distribute Korans and his "Green Book" of wisdom.

I suggest that Gaddafi's "female staff" may need some recruits and hot Italian hostesses would provide diversity -- or something.

Of course, in the spirit of tolerance and multiculturalism, a Christian evangelist should be able to schedule events in Libya to convert young attractive girls to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

On second thought, probably not.

The city’s taxi union boss was handed a year in jail Tuesday for what a judge deemed an “honour crime.”

Yusef Salam Al Mezel, 44, had pleaded guilty to criminally harassing his 23-year-old daughter, Eman, over three weeks in July 2007.

“Mr. Al Mezel has threatened his daughter with serious violence and has caused her to fear for her safety in the name of honour,” Judge Lynn Ratushny wrote. “He has committed the crime of harassment against her in the name of honour.”

Al Mezel admitted to pushing his daughter, threatening to break her legs and kill her and smashing her computer. When she fled marriage to a Syrian man for a $9,000 dowry, he stalked her to a shelter and a friend’s home.

He sent her e-mails threatening her uncles and cousins would go “crazy” over the family’s honour and to come home before someone got hurt.

(Tunis, Tunisia) A 34-year-old college professor and blogger, Fatma Riahi, was investigated last week by Tunisian authorities for suspected criminal libel against President Zine el Abidine BEN ALI.

On Wednesday, she was arrested.

Riahi, known as "Arabicca" online, has been accused of being the person behind the blogger Blog de Z, a popular Tunisian cartoonist renowned for being critical of President Ben Ali. Blog de Z's cartoons portray Ben Ali as corrupt, surrounded by thugs and not in the least bit interested in the Tunisian people who are depicted as blind, useful idiots. (More ....)
