Inconvenient Truth Alert: 2008 Coolest Year in 5 Years, World Hasn't Warmed Since 1998

Algore could not be reached for comment.

Neither could NBC - the "green" network.

We'll keep following up with them to see what they have to say.

LOL: Algore Pwns Environment with Fleet of Gas Guzzlers

Thanks, Algore! I have to not only breathe in the noxious fumes emitting from your overfed piehole every day somewhere on my beloved planet, but now we have to all choke on the pollution from your entourage of SUVs and Towncars. Very "environmentally conscious" of you as you travel around peddling smake oil to the masses.

Watch the Gorebots get completely pwn3d by Americans for Prosperity as they stutter to rationalize both their hypocrisy and the desire to ruin the economy.

And see Algore's gas-guzzling, carbon-spewing train of vehicles. BOW DOWN BEFORE THE LEADER, GOREBOTS. ALL IS WELL.

Ban Lightning!

Lightning is responsible for ending five young lives this week.

It's time for Congress to ban lightning.

Ten bucks that somebody, somewhere is going to blame this story on global warming. And Bush. And the Iraq war.

Just you wait.

Dick Durbin (D) Admits Ethanol Mandates Affecting Food Prices

HOW MUCH ARE THE OIL COMPANIES PAYING YOU, DURBIN?

“I’ve supported ethanol from the beginning. The object of having homegrown fuel in America is a good goal, and it’s one we’re moving toward ever so slowly,” he said. “But we have to understand it’s had an impact on food prices. Even in the Corn Belt, we’d better be honest about it.”

Agriculture lobbyists say climbing oil and gas prices are more to blame for rising commodity prices. But because of biofuel mandates included in the 2005 energy bill, about one-third of the U.S. corn crop is expected to go toward ethanol production in the coming year.

Read it all.

Food Crisis Eclipsing "Climate Crisis"

Don't blame the left or their anti-human policies that all seem to bear an uncanny resemblance to world-wide socialism. They're just trying to save the world.

So starve, peasants. The world left has decided that you're the broken eggs in their FAILomlette.

World Backlash Against Ethanol Fuels Building

UPDATE: Well, lookee here. Validation.

We all know this is a trick by "the deniers" to destroy and discredit the most altruistic, most well-thought-through, least-hysterical, most perfect, most sustainable government powergrab ever conceived.

BRUSSELS (AFP) - The EU Commission on Monday rejected claims that producing biofuels is a "crime against humanity" that threatens food supplies, and vowed to stick to its goals as part of a climate change package.
Go, socialists! Let the peasants starve - they probably deserve it because might have automobiles.

The bull-headed, irony-laden Euronitwits appear positively determined to run the human race in to the ground in the name of "saving" humanity (which they were never doing anyway). And guess who's hardest hit? The poor, women and minorities.

(golf clap). Hurrah, socialism!

"There is no question for now of suspending the target fixed for biofuels," said Barbara Helfferich, spokeswoman for EU Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas.

"You can't change a political objective without risking a debate on all the other objectives," which could see the EU landmark climate change and energy package disintegrate, an EU official said.

And we wouldn't want other parts of this ridiculous, unsustainable, nebulous "environmental policy" debated or questioned, would we? That would imply some level of freedom for the financiers of this ongoing EPIC FAIL (taxpayers), and would possibly raise questions about government officials, their motivations and the motivations of their special interests. And we can't have that.
Their comments came amid growing unease over the planting of biofuel crops as food prices rocket and riots against poverty and hunger multiply worldwide.

UN Special Rapporteur for the Right to Food Jean Ziegler told German radio Monday that the production of biofuels is "a crime against humanity" because of its impact on global food prices.

Well, if the UN couldn't get itself outraged over Saddam's Oil for Palaces program, why should they care about the plight of the poor and starving in Africa? "The environment" is more important than your life, people. From each according to his ability to each according to his need.
The European Environment Agency, advisors to the European Commission, on Friday recommended that the EU suspend its 10 percent biofuels target.

It argued that the target would require large amounts of additional imports of biofuels leading to the accelerated destruction of rain forests. The agency also questioned the environmental benefits of biofuels.

Also in a recent report the World Bank said bluntly "biofuel production has pushed up feedstock prices".

DENIER! How dare you pontificate over simple economics in the presence of your intellectual and moral betters!

Predictable, though. When the only solution the left has is a hammer, every problem begins to look like a nail.

When can the world start suing Algore for initiating and driving this bout of worldwide starvation and price gouging in the name of Gaia?

Reap the whirlwind, environuts. You created the problem, you get to fix it - without taking more of everybody's income and food.

And you too, Bush, although I don't think you're going to stick around to see this one through.

Whoda Thunkit: More Inconvenient Truths About Global Warming

As in, it is looking like little more than leftwing political advocacy.

It isn't science. Science incorporates contradictory data into its presuppositions and adjusts accordingly. Environmental whackjobs don't - they keep repeating the same debunked crap over and over again as if nothing ever changes.

Last Monday - on ABC Radio National, of all places - there was a tipping point of a different kind in the debate on climate change. It was a remarkable interview involving the co-host of Counterpoint, Michael Duffy and Jennifer Marohasy, a biologist and senior fellow of Melbourne-based think tank the Institute of Public Affairs. Anyone in public life who takes a position on the greenhouse gas hypothesis will ignore it at their peril.

Duffy asked Marohasy: "Is the Earth stillwarming?"

She replied: "No, actually, there has been cooling, if you take 1998 as your point of reference. If you take 2002 as your point of reference, then temperatures have plateaued. This is certainly not what you'd expect if carbon dioxide is driving temperature because carbon dioxide levels have been increasing but temperatures have actually been coming down over the last 10 years."

BUT BUT BUT how is this possible? Algore said the debate was over, and his minions are likening people who pay attention to the actual science to Holocaust deniers! They just HAVE to be right!

And he won an Oscar! SCIENCE!!123!!!

UCSC Treesitters Have it Tough

San Jose Mercury News

The hardest part of tree-sitting at the University of California-Santa Cruz isn't the cold, the rain, or the fierce winds that rattle your perch."
"It's noisy," said a protester who would identify himself only as "Owl," speaking from a small redwood in a parking lot that is the future site of a new Biomedical Sciences Building, part of the university's expansion plan.
"Like their treetop brethren at UC-Berkeley, UC-Santa Cruz protesters have put down roots. A "Pedestrain Warning" sign is posted for students passing the tree sitters."

The sign wording reminds me of a hard hat area with falling debris or pidgeon droppings. Whoa, that would be some kind of droppings...Geesh.

"The vast majority of people have no idea why they're in the trees." said campus lecturer and longtime city Councilman Mike Rotkin. "They haven't been successful in getting their message out."

What in the world did the parents of these kids do to them when they were young, potty train them in a tree? There certainly should be a better avenue of protesting the universitys expansion than sitting in the trees.

The officials are worring about making them come down for fear they will "hurt" themselves. Do fire ants like Redwoods?

I realize this is old news by 2 months but hey they deserve it....the trees that is. I wonder what the Berkeley City Council had to say about this?

If you have never visited Zombie's be prepared for a little shocka of very, very strange people doing very, very strange things. Enter the site at your own risk. The Berkeley tree people are clothed this time...I think..

The Creeping Totalitarianism of Environmentalism

On full display in California's new proposed legislation to require radio-like receivers in thermostats so that, when deemed necessary by the powers that be, the ability to adjust the temperature for the A/C or central heat in one's home is taken away from them (the owners of the homes and the tenants in the apartments) and given to the power company.

A preview of the Brave New World promised by Algore and the Fundamentalist Church of Gaia.

California is on track to become the first state completely destroyed by it's liberal nanny-state government. No wonder long-time residents are fleeing.

What Happened To All The Global Warming?

Ask Algore. He's the "expert:"

Given the number of worldwide cold events, it is no surprise that 2007 didn't turn out to be the warmest ever. In fact, 2007's global temperature was essentially the same as that in 2006 - and 2005, and 2004, and every year back to 2001. The record set in 1998 has not been surpassed. For nearly a decade now, there has been no global warming. Even though atmospheric carbon dioxide continues to accumulate - it's up about 4 percent since 1998 - the global mean temperature has remained flat. That raises some obvious questions about the theory that CO2 is the cause of climate change.

Yet so relentlessly has the alarmist scenario been hyped, and so disdainfully have dissenting views been dismissed, that millions of people assume Gore must be right when he insists: "The debate in the scientific community is over."

But it isn't.

Read it all, because Algore and the Religion of Gaia don't want you to. And do it before this "heretic" and "denier" is rounded up and thrown into prison for dissenting.

Environmentalism = Communism

In case you had any doubts about what the hysterical, ululating environmentalist Church of Algore actually is, look no further:

The environmental group Friends of the Earth, in attendance in Bali, also advocated the transfer of money from rich to poor nations on Wednesday.

A climate change response must have at its heart a redistribution of wealth and resources,” said Emma Brindal, a climate justice campaigner coordinator for Friends of the Earth. (link)

[...]

Calls for global regulations and taxes are not new at the UN. Former Vice President Al Gore, who arrived Thursday at the Bali conference, reiterated this week his call to place a price on carbon dioxide emissions. (link)

[...]

In 2000, then French President Jacques Chirac said the UN’s Kyoto Protocol represented “the first component of an authentic global governance.” Former EU Environment Minister Margot Wallstrom said, “Kyoto is about the economy, about leveling the playing field for big businesses worldwide.” Canadian Prime Minster Stephen Harper once dismissed Kyoto as a “socialist scheme. (link)

Commrade Lenin and the People's Party would be proud. Dressing up the language, philosophy and ethos of pure communism, turning it into a freakish cult of personality and tree-hugging, and pretending it's instead a movement to "save the environment."

Or rather, the simplified environmentalist:

Problem = YOU. Solution = COMMUNISM. Any questions?

And as for Algore, I hope you realize that what he ultimately intends to do is tax you every time you exhale. You exhale CO2. He wants a "tax" on CO2 (redistribution of wealth to his environmental investments). Hence, you will be taxed for driving, breathing, and "offending Gaia." And he will tell what you're allowed to do.

It's a full blown religion, folks, and you're going to be part of it and support the church no matter what you believe.

How's that grab ya?

California Fires Shout Out

As most of you know, I'm from California. Most of my family is away from the fires except for one of my brothers who lives in Poway, one of the cities most effected and which was largely evacuated. We also got word last night that frequent commenter Dorian Grey is stuck in his home in Ramona.

Michael Reynolds relates his personal experience with the fires here. Our thoughts and prayers are with any one else who was affected.

Katrina: Worst EVER?

I heard something blasted across the radio several times today from this AP article:

Hurricane Katrina made landfall south of New Orleans at 6:10 a.m. Aug. 29, 2005, as a strong Category 3 hurricane that flooded 80 percent of the city and killed more than 1,600 people in Louisiana and Mississippi. It was the worst natural disaster in the history of the United States.
Only thing is, the Galveston Hurricane in 1900 killed between 6 and 12 thousand people:
The Galveston Hurricane of 1900 is to date the deadliest natural disaster ever to strike the United States. By contrast, the second-deadliest storm to strike the United States, the 1928 Okeechobee Hurricane, caused approximately 2,500 deaths, and the deadliest storm of recent times, Hurricane Katrina, has caused approximately 1,600 deaths.
So by what measure are we measuring "worst ever?"

MSNBC Finally Notices 'Global Cooling' Article From 1975

Its about damned time.

I only spent good part of the early year here at Jawa Report posting this 1975 Newsweek article with every hysterical piece of global warming agitprop. Good to see the MSM has finally caught up to us in getting ahead of the disinformation campaign.

Of course, this isn't actually news to those of us who've been paying attention to the Church of Algore for any length of time.

Heh. Apparently, nobody told Algore that the emotional well has gone dry on this issue.

July 07, 2007

Enviromorons Create More Pollution Than Anyone On Earth

The Live Earth concerts should be outlawed, if we were really holding Algore and the Church of Gaia to the standards that they want to hold everyone else to:

The most conservative assessment of the flights being taken by its superstars is that they are flying an extraordinary 222,623.63 miles between them to get to the various concerts - nearly nine times the circumference of the world. The true environmental cost, as they transport their technicians, dancers and support staff, is likely to be far higher.
Pathetic, but utterly predictable from a group of know-nothings who blame the populace for "destroying the world" while they crnk out many times the pollution per "artist" than ten or fifteen "average folk." Apparently, the Church of Environmentalism suffers from a lack of mirrors.

The carbon footprint of these concerts is likely to be a permanent stain on our environment. Save the world! Ignore environmentalist and activist celebrities! They're killing us!
