There is a double standard: White terrorists are dealt with as lone wolves, Islamists are existential threats

the dynamics of privilege will undoubtedly influence the nation’s collective reaction to the attacks. That’s because privilege tends to determine: 1) which groups are — and are not — collectively denigrated or targeted for the unlawful actions of individuals; and 2) how big and politically game-changing the overall reaction ends up being.

Update: You know, I've totally changed my mind, I think he may have something.

White privilege is knowing that even if the bomber turns out to be white, no one will call for your group to be profiled as terrorists as a result, subjected to special screening or threatened with deportation.

After all this white dude bombed stuff and murdered people, today not only does he not regret it. He's a celebrated professor and a major player in educating our children. Not to mention a good friend of President Obama.

A Georgia city official was arrested Thursday on charges of obstructing enforcement and influencing a witness in the case involving the fatal shooting of a one-year-old boy.

An attorney for Brunswick city commissioner and mayor pro tem James Henry Brooks told WTLF-TV that his client was arrested for stepping between police and Karimah Elkins, the mother of 17-year-old suspect De'Marquise Elkins, when police tried speaking with her during a court appearance Monday.

Karimah Elkins and De'Marquise's older sister, Sabrina Elkins, were charged with evidence tampering. The indictment says they threw the revolver that police suspect was used in the shooting into a saltwater pond where investigators recovered it Tuesday.

Yet when they get a chance to go to court in an Arab nation where laws are based on Islam or use Islamic common and religious law, they get all chickenshit.

Home Secretary Theresa May has lost her appeal against a ruling preventing the deportation of preacher Abu Qatada.

She acted after the Special Immigration Appeals Commission said the radical cleric could not be returned to Jordan.

Judges say he could face an unfair trial involving evidence obtained by torturing others.

The Home Office said it would further appeal, adding: "This is not the end of the road. The government remains determined to deport Abu Qatada."

What's up with that?

A Florida Atlantic University's Intercultural Communications class professor had students write the name "Muhammad" on a piece of paper and then step on it. One student refused and was suspended.

Well, not really. The professor ordered the students to step on the name "Jesus" not "Muhammad."

You didn't really think this liberal instructor was that brave, did you?

BOCA RATON (CBS4) – A student at Florida Atlantic University said he was unfairly suspended from his Intercultural Communications class because he refused to step on Jesus.

Ryan Rotella, a junior from Coral Springs, said the incident began when his professor, Dr. Deandre Poole, asked students in the class to write the word “Jesus” on a piece of paper, fold it up, and step on it.

Rotella, a deeply religious Mormon, told CBS12 that he was offended and refused to participate in the exercise.

Had it been the name "Muhammad," the professor would have been fired, outraged Muslim students would be protesting, CAIR would have been launching campaigns against the university, Eric Holder would be investigating the professor for hate crimes, and the student involved would look like Obama's son if he had one.

But since it was "Jesus," suspend the student and carry on.

New DHS memo for your only option when faced with an active shooter situation - bend over and kiss your ass goodbye.

Didn't the liberal left just advise students that, as a last resort, they should charge and tackle a shooter?

These kids apparently had no scissors, so they did what they were told to do. Now they are being suspended from school for involvement in "an incident with a weapon":

The student said the suspect, a football player, threatened to shoot a teammate because he had been arguing with his friend.

Authorities confirmed to WFTX the weapon was indeed loaded, and the arrest report stated the suspect, identified by WVZN-TV as Quadryle Davis, was "pointing the gun directly" at the other student and "threatening to shoot him."

That's when, the teen told the station, he and two others tackled the suspect and wrestled the gun away. The next day, all three were suspended.

What next? If you use a pair of scissor to stab a deranged shooter, will you go to jail for assault with a deadly weapon?

I guess a successful self-defense story just doesn't fit the leftist agenda. Maybe they prefer a few dead bodies. That's the only thing I can figure.

Self defense is simply not an option in the liberal agenda. Defending yourself or others only deprives another of his right to express himself.

President Obama and the media elite in DC send their children to a heavily armed private school. Yet those same hypocrites scoff at the idea of allowing armed guards at public schools:

The school, Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC, has 11 security officers and is seeking to hire a new police officer as we speak.

If you dismiss this by saying, "Of course they have armed guards -- they get Secret Service protection," then you've missed the larger point.

The larger point is that this is standard operating procedure for the school, period. And this is the reason people like NBC's David Gregory send their kids to Sidwell, they know their kids will be protected from the carnage that befell kids at a school where armed guards weren't used (and weren't even allowed).

Shame on President Obama for seeking more gun control and for trying to prevent the parents of other school children from doing what he has clearly done for his own. His children sit under the protection guns afford, while the children of regular Americans are sacrificed.

State Senator Donne Trotter is expected in court Thursday after he was charged with trying to bring a handgun onto an aircraft, prosecutors said.

He was arrested Wednesday at O'Hare International Airport, where security discovered the gun in Trotter's carry-on bag.

So, now that the so-called "moderate Islamists" know that people actually do worship these idols, is it now okay to destroy them?

Sheikh Abdel Fattah Moro, called the live program and told Gohary that famous historic military commander Amr ibn al-Aas did not destroy statues when he conquered Egypt.

“So who are you to do it?” he wondered. “The Prophet destroyed the idols because people worshiped them, but the Sphinx and the Pyramids are not worshiped.”

And obviously, you get the point I'm trying to make here. That no government has the power to destroy religious icons, even if those religious icons are offensive to the majority within that country.

That's what freedom of religion means: the ability to worship whatever you want, even idols.

But on a lark I did a Google search for "praying to the pyramids in Egypt" and what do you know: some new-age types actually do pray to them. Or toward them. Or use them as a mantra. Or whatever.

So, how do the so-called "moderates" like dem apples?

That may be true. I don't particularly care for Scientology. But there's something very hypocritical - maybe even itself evil - about calling the cult creepy for allegedly spying on the estranged spouse of a member, when the same criticism about Islam over "honor killings" is deemed racist and Islamophobic.

Can you imagine if any public figure called Islam "creepy" and "evil" after an estranged wife from a prominent Western Muslim was brutally murdered for speaking out against the ideology? Can you imagine the hypocritical outrage if an Islamic apostate publicly announced she was leaving her Muslim husband because she feared he was involving their daughter too much in the religion?

Minimally, he, or she, would be called a racist, an islamophobe, a bigot.

Oh wait, it's already happening.

Brace yourself for the same condemnation of those mocking Mormonism or calling Scientology a cult. Just don't hold your breath.

Of course, the progressive, liberal left must agree with him, as none have spoken out against the comment. In fact, the commenters at The Huffington Post are overwhelmingly in favor of Savage's slur. But only as it applies to Conservative gays, because the commenters there are, you know, tolerant and unbigoted and all.

Even gay support groups like GLAAD and LGBT have yet to speak out against the insult. Only GOProud has come out (no pun intended) and condemned the use of the term. But they are the one Savage was slurring.

(It should be noted that GLAAD hypocritically is calling for the removal of a Hispanic program that uses the same objectionable term Dan Savage used to refer to gays. But for some odd reason, GLAAD doesn't seem to be offended when he uses it. Go figure.)

Did they, in "righteous indignation," do what two Egyptian brothers recently did when they thought their sister was being "immoral"—slaughter her, the mother, and aunt?

Not at all. After Friday prayers, hundreds of protesting Salafis marched out in the street with Wanis, shouting anti-police slogans and conspiracy theories.

Just as Egyptian secularists have long argued, Islamists like the Salafis and the Muslim Brotherhood hide behind a mantle of piety and morality—yet, when it comes to it, such piety and morality is apparently not something they strive to live by, but rather a weapon to use against non-Islamists, who are always portrayed as immoral and corrupt.[More]

In recent years, Democrats have argued that requiring voters to show photo IDs prior to voting is an egregious act of voter suppression. Ben Jealous, of the NAACP, has gone so far as to argue that such requirements are tantamount to modern-day Jim Crow laws. In the world they inhabit, lots of voters don't have access to photo IDs, so requiring voters to provide this will "disenfranchise" them and leave them out of the democratic process. Remember when George Lucas' neighbors whined and bitched themselves out of a state of the art movie studio?

He was forced to abandon the project by environmental retards who insisted that the site be residential and repeatedly raised spurious environmental concerns about the commercial use of the property.

So Lucas decided to develop it for residential use. He opted to build low income housing. The county where the property is located considers a family of four with an income of 88k low income. Now the neighbors are upset he'll be polluting the area with "those poor people."

I always feel kind of dirty when I say this, but you just can't give money to an Islamic "charity":

A Canadian Muslim youth organization has been stripped of its charitable status after a Canada Revenue Agency investigation linked it to a Saudi-based group that allegedly financed Islamist terror campaigns.

An audit of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth revealed the charity had developed ties to a number of organizations that allegedly helped fund al-Qaeda operations around the world and failed to comply with a number of standards required for charities to maintain their status.

What they don't tell you is that the money is a reward given to the families of terrorists. Or that for every dollar spent on a hospital, another dollar is used to by weapons.

And yes, I know it isn't fair to paint all Islamic charities as terror fronts. Not fair at all. But I think the precautionary principle applies to terrorism and since there is little or no vetting of what any charity actually does on the ground it is better to be safe than sorry.

It's not my fault that a good chunk of people in your religion mean to do evil in the world. If it's any one's fault, it's theirs.

The restaurant receipt that a California banker purportedly used to denigrate a waitress--while also leaving her a one percent tip--was wildly “altered and exaggerated,” according to a spokesperson for the Newport Beach restaurant where the businessman supposedly dined earlier this month.

A photo of the receipt (seen at right) has gone viral in the past few days, fueled by a back story claiming that the measly tip was the imperious financier’s way of provoking a member of the lowly “99%” who was not sufficiently solicitous. The claim about the tip--and a photo of the receipt--first appeared last week on a blog that is now offline (along with a related Twitter account).

In fact, a spokesperson for True Food Kitchen in Newport Beach told TSG that the eatery was able to locate the actual “merchant copy” of the February 16 credit card receipt and it reveals that the online version has been Photoshopped.

The Taliban in Afghanistan depend on Pakistan for support, even though they do not necessarily welcome it, a secret NATO report says, according to a journalist who has read it.

"It is a marriage of convenience," Times of London reporter Jerome Starkey said Wednesday, citing the report. The Taliban see Pakistan as manipulative, but they see no alternative to accepting its support, he said.

The Taliban are absolutely confident of victory, he said the report found, based on 27,000 interviews with over 4,000 detainees ranging from senior Taliban commanders to Afghan civilians.

They also include mid- and low-level Taliban, al Qaeda, and foreign fighters, he said.

The leaked NATO document revives the longstanding accusation that elements in Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence agency are aiding the insurgency in Afghanistan.

It says the ISI knows the whereabouts of all senior Taliban commanders, Starkey said.

An arrest was made in the fire-bombing of two different Synagogues around New Jersey.

The AP article (via FNC) was short and sweet:

Authorities have made an arrest in the firebombings of two northern New Jersey synagogues.

The Bergen County prosecutor has charged 19-year-old Anthony Graziano of Lodi with the Jan. 11 attack on a Rutherford synagogue and the Jan. 3 firebombing of a synagogue in Paramus.

The charges include nine counts of attempted murder.

That's the entire article. No details, no interviews with worshipers or family members, no statements from any "civil rights" organizations, no journalist commentary about past crimes against Synagogues, no condemnation or 'hate crime' labels.

Just another day of city crime.

Khalid Saheed fled Afghanistan because after leaving Islam he has been threatened with death for apostasy.

Letter To The Government of Sweden and Migration Board:

I am writing to you on behalf of Khalid Saeed’s petition to remain in Sweden, a petition which you have denied. I implore you to revisit his case.

His life—and Sweden’s reputation for fairness and morality are both at stake.

Khalid Saeed and his family have been living in Sweden since 2009. Saeed joined the 5% of the Swedish population who are Muslims. However, unlike Muslims who have rioted and/or who have refused to assimilate in Sweden, Khalid is a pro-Western apostate.

This is precisely why he fled Pakistan. Apostasy is a capital crime in Islam, and so is any preference shown to Western ways of thought.

Khalid Saeed was a car dealer in Islamabad, Pakistan. He is married and has three children. Once he made his views known, he was threatened. He fled. In his own words, he claims:

“I have never worshipped Allah nor do I or my wife, Asia, believe in Islam as the only truth for mankind. I have distanced myself from Islam years ago. That is my curse. My wife, the mother to our children, agrees. She will not see her daughter brought up in a society where women are only half humans and neither will I.

"As parents we also do not want to stand (helpless) on the side line and watch our two lovely and open-minded boys being forced into any kind of holy jihad group or society whose only objective is to oppress, threaten, and intimidate others to blindly follow the pitiless words of the profane muslim prophet Mohammad and his followers’ medieval Islamic sharia laws.”

Anyone who sounds like this in Pakistan, or in any Pakistani Muslim community in the world is a dead man.

And yet, you have refused him asylum in Sweden. I strongly disagree with your ruling on his application for asylum.

I assume you are familiar with the fate of apostates: Muslims who convert to Christianity or who describe themselves as “humanists” or “secularists,” or who believe in freedom of religion.

Sweden’s own 2010 Report on Human Rights in Pakistan confirms that religious minorities are severely persecuted in Pakistan as are any people who are in favor of free speech, academic freedom, and independent thought. For example, the governor of the Punjab (in Pakistan) was assassinated when he wanted to pursue reforms against blasphemy laws.

The International Humanist and Ethical Union, which was founded in Amsterdam, spent years campaigning for the life of physician and human rights activist Dr. Younus Sheikh who languished on Death Row in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

We know that many Muslims are not friendly toward any infidel religion, including Christians, Hindus, Jews, Buddhists, etc. Christians have been—and still are—being savagely persecuted in Muslim lands. I and many others have written about this often. Author and apostate Nonie Darwish and ex-Muslim secularist Ibn Warraq have both spoken out about this burning issue.

Christians are being savagely persecuted in Egypt and all across the Middle East and Islamic world.

In Pakistan, Christians have literally been crucified, teenaged Christian girls have been kidnapped, raped, then forced to marry their rapists and convert to Islam.

Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan, do not allow Christians, Jews, or other “infidels” to pray openly or to build any or new houses of worship.

The Arab Muslim Middle East is almost completely “Judenrein,” (free of Jews) since more than 800,000 Arab Jews were exiled or forced to flee their countries between 1948-1968.

In 2010, in Pakistan, a Muslim mob attacked a Christian man and slaughtered him with pick-axes for refusing to convert to Islam.

According to Mina Nevisa, an Iranian Muslim convert to Christianity who wrote a book about her experiences, both she and her female cousin were attending an underground church in Teheran. Nevis fled Iran together with her husband. Her cousin was not so lucky. “She was arrested on charges of Apostasy and taken to Evin prison, where she was raped, tortured, and then killed by a firing squad. The pastor was also killed.”

The situation for Muslim apostates in Europe is also perilous. High profile apostates, such as Egyptian-Italian Magdi Christiano Allam, who was converted to Catholicism by the Pope, lives with six round-the-clock bodyguards. Aayan Hirsi Ali, the Somali-Dutch-American apostate-secularist, also requires a full time security detail. People who do not have public profiles, who are not academics, intellectuals, politicians, or public speakers, also face similar problems.

In 2001, “Sabatina James” (a pseudonym) fled from Austria to Germany and went into hiding to escape being honor-murdered by her family after she converted from Islam to Christianity. Her family had immigrated from Pakistan.

“Sabatina’s” troubles began when she was 15 years old. Because she dared to wear lipstick and blue jeans, she was mercilessly beaten. When she rejected marriage to a cousin, “Sabatina” was sent to a Qur’anic school in Lahore, where she was repeatedly flogged. She finally agreed to the marriage—but only in order to be able to return to Austria. Then, when she was 19 years old, she fled.

In 2009, Iraqi-born Vian Bakir Fatah was stabbed to death by her Iraqi ex-husband in Norway. She had converted to Christianity and had a new boyfriend. Her ex-husband murdered her in the presence of their four children.

In the past, Sweden has presumably been at the forefront of human rights activism and legislation. Now, in this case, it seems that Sweden has failed its own stated ideals.

Given the information that I and others are providing, I strongly urge you to reconsider Khalid Saeed’s case. If not, his blood, and the blood of his wife and children will be on Swedish hands.

They claim that civil rights are not the individual’s, but somehow theirs, a definition incompatible with itself!

This is, as we know, the post-Marxist brand of tyranny — a “well-meaning” lawlessness. But prior to this series, we did not know that since 2008 the Civil Rights Division has been populated entirely according to this ideology, behavior which represents the perfect antithesis of civil rights.

NEW YORK – An Internet poker company that was blocked from operating in the U.S. in the spring as part of an online gambling crackdown was "not a legitimate poker company, but a global Ponzi scheme," federal prosecutors said Tuesday.

The popular Full Tilt Poker website illegally raided player accounts to fund operations and make lavish payments to its owners, Justice Department lawyers said in a revised civil lawsuit filed in New York.

UNITED NATIONS (AFP) – Syrian forces stood by as Palestinian demonstrators crossed the Golan Heights ceasefire line and were fired upon by Israeli forces, according to a UN report obtained by AFP.

At least 27 people were killed in the demonstrations on May 15 and June 5 and some diplomats said the accounts given in the report reinforced claims that Syria is stirring up border troubles to divert attention from President Bashar al-Assad's deadly crackdown on opposition protests.

Palestinian leaders are "furious that their people were used as cannon fodder" on the border, said one diplomat, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The report by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon also said protests against Assad had spread to the border, and UN peacekeepers had been denied access to several districts.

The report on the UN Disengagement Force (UNDOF) monitoring the ceasefire between Syria and Israel did not accuse Syrians of organising the protests by Palestinians. But each time Syrian forces were nearby, it stressed.

I have just been forwarded what appear to be Syrian state documents leaked by the governor of al-Qunaitera, in south-west Syria, which suggest that the regime fully orchestrated the “Nakba Day” raids of Palestinian refugees into the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights on May 15.

The document (below) which bears the Syrian Republic emblem, is dated May 14, 2011 and describes an “urgent meeting” of Major General Asef Shawkat, the Deputy Chief of Staff for the Armed Forces, and the chiefs of security and military intelligence branches in the province in Al-Qunaitera, which is located at the Syrian-Israeli border. The memorandum outlines how the regime ordered the dispatching of 20 buses, each one with a passenger capacity of 47, to cross the border into Majdal-Shamms in the Golan Heights in order to precipitate a confrontation between Palestinian refugees and Israeli soldiers and UN peacekeeping forces, thereby distracting international attention from the Syrian revolution.[More]

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A stash of pornography was found in the hideout of Osama bin Laden by the U.S. commandos who killed him, current and former U.S. officials said on Friday.

The pornography recovered in bin Laden's compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, consists of modern, electronically recorded video and is fairly extensive, according to the officials, who discussed the discovery with Reuters on condition of anonymity.

The officials said they were not yet sure precisely where in the compound the pornography was discovered or who had been viewing it. Specifically, the officials said they did not know if bin Laden himself had acquired or viewed the materials.

Reports from Abbottabad have said that bin Laden's compound was cut off from the Internet or other hard-wired communications networks. It is unclear how compound residents would have acquired the pornography.
