Noted Friend of Convicted Jihadi w/ Mustache Fetish and Former Jawa Troll Sentenced for Helping Jihad Jane

It looks like all my old enemies from the Ansar Mujhadeen English Forum (AMEF) are all in prison now. I guess I can retire.

I'm too busy to go into the background of the entire case. Above I've posted part of a conversation between Khalid and his friend Emerson "Abu Nancy" Begolly as laid out in the federal complaint against him. Begolly was convicted of assaulting an FBI agent after they went to talk to him about his online activities in support of al Qaeda. The pair were part of a larger network that spent a lot of time online at the AMEF forum.

While it's true that most of their online friends form that forum are in jail, and that the forum also had a rather creepy obsession with me, Howie, and Aaron from SOFIR/Internet Haganah, contrary to popular belief I had nothing to do with any of their arrests nor have I been called to testify against any of them.

The fact that they've all landed in the federal penitentiary (or, in the case of Samir Khan, got themselves droned)? No, it's not a coincidence, but neither is it evidence that I had anything to do with it. It just means that a bunch of jihadis who couldn't help but draw attention to themselves by publicly stating their love of Osama bin Laden also happened to have mustache fetishes and angst about my sexual orientation. It's not causation so much as it is a correlation.

FBI Press Release:

PHILADELPHIA—Mohammad Hassan Khalid, 20, a Pakistani citizen and U.S. lawful permanent resident who resided in Maryland, was sentenced today to five years in prison for conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists. Khalid participated in a scheme to support, recruit, and coordinate members of a conspiracy in their plan to wage violent jihad in and around Europe. He pleaded guilty on May 4, 2012.

Khalid conspired with Jamie Paulin-Ramirez and Colleen LaRose, aka “Jihad Jane,” who were charged separately, in a conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists. LaRose also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to kill in a foreign country, making false statements, and attempted identity theft and was sentenced to 10 years in prison; Paulin-Ramirez pleaded guilty to conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and was sentenced to eight years in prison.

In addition to the prison term, U.S. District Court Judge Petrese B. Tucker ordered three years of supervised release, with limited access to computers, and a $100 special assessment. The sentencing result was announced by United States Attorney Zane David Memeger, FBI Special Agent in Charge Edward Hanko, and Assistant Attorney General for National Security John Carlin.

Khalid’s co‑defendant, Ali Charaf Damache, aka “Theblackflag,” an Algerian man who resided in Ireland, is in custody in Ireland pending extradition to the United States.

From about 2008 through July 2011, Khalid and Damache conspired with LaRose, Paulin-Ramirez, and others to provide material support and resources to terrorists, including logistical support, recruitment services, financial support, identification documents, and personnel. Khalid, Damache, and others devised and coordinated a violent jihad organization consisting of men and women from Europe and the United States divided into a planning team, a research team, an action team, a recruitment team, and a finance team, some of whom would travel to South Asia for explosives training and return to Europe to wage violent jihad.

As part of the conspiracy, Khalid, Damache, LaRose, and others recruited men online to wage violent jihad in South Asia and Europe. In addition, Khalid, Damache, LaRose, and others allegedly recruited women who had passports and the ability to travel to and around Europe in support of violent jihad. LaRose, Paulin‑Ramirez, and others traveled to and around Europe to participate in and support violent jihad. In addition, Khalid, LaRose, and others also solicited funds online for terrorists.

For example, in July 2009, Khalid posted or caused to be posted an online solicitation for funds to support terrorism on behalf of LaRose and later sent electronic communications to multiple online forums requesting the deletion of all posts by LaRose after she was questioned by the FBI. In August 2009, Khalid sent a questionnaire to LaRose in which he asked another potential female recruit about her beliefs and intentions with regard to violent jihad. In addition, Khalid received and concealed the location of a U.S. passport that LaRose had stolen from another individual.

The Khalid case was investigated by the FBI field division in Baltimore, in conjunction with the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force in Philadelphia and the FBI field divisions in New York and Washington, D.C. Authorities in Ireland also provided assistance in this matter.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams and Trial Attorney Matthew F. Blue from the Counterterrorism Section of the Justice Department’s National Security Division. The Office of International Affairs in the Justice Departments Criminal Division also provided assistance.

In light of Khalid's helping the Feds track down and prosecute his former associates, let me be the first to wish him pleasant times and a cell mate with a mustache that would make Tom Selleck jealous.

Jihad Jane Co-Conspirator Ratting Friends Out

Mohammad Hassan Khalid's sentencing hearing has been postponed, yet again. Apparently he's been spilling so many beans that the Feds want to keep him on hold for a few more months. After that, it looks like some jail time and then deportation back to Pakistan:

Khalid has provided substantial cooperation to the feds since his arrest, the government wrote. "He met approximately 20 times with government agents from this district and elsewhere. He has talked about his activities for dozens of hours, reviewed scores of written documents. . . . There can be no doubt that Khalid's assistance advanced multiple national security investigations in important ways."

Yet, Khalid's "status as a young U.S. terrorist recruit has captured the world's attention, and this sentencing presents an important opportunity to send a strong message to others in his position who might be enticed by online extremists promising fame and honor," the feds added.

Because Khalid is not a U.S. citizen, he is expected to face deportation proceedings and could be sent back to Pakistan after he serves his sentence.

Incidentally, the mastermind of the plot, Ali Charaf Damache, is still fighting extradition from Ireland.

Jihad Jamie Gets 8 Years

Er, I'd say something about the cornhole ....

What do you say to the woman in your life about to get 8 years in the federal pokey:

A Colorado woman who married an Algerian terror suspect and helped support his jihadist training has been sentenced in Philadelphia to eight years in prison.

Jamie Paulin-Ramirez is getting a break after helping the FBI investigate her husband and others, including a Pennsylvania woman who called herself "Jihad Jane."

Paulin-Ramirez is sometimes referred to by the moniker "Jihad Jamie" because of her connection to the plot.

That's two down, one to go. The husband, Ali Charaf "Black Flag" Demache is fighting extradition from Irelenad to the US. Apparently US courts would violate his "human rights", while his plot to murder a guy over a drawing was just defending the Prophet.

Extradition Hearings Begin in Ireland Over Man in Jihad Jane Plot to Murder Lars Vilks

Ali Charaf Damache was the ringleader in the Jihad Jane plot to murder Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks and commit other acts of terror in Europe. He's now fighting extradition to the US, claiming his "human rights" would be in jeopardy should he be transferred to the US for trial.

I dunno, is there a human right to cornhole virginity?

AN Algerian-born Irish citizen, who is wanted in the US on terrorism charges, planned for a group to train in explosives with al-Qa'ida in order to support terrorist attacks against US and European citizens, a court has heard.

Ali Charaf Damache (48), who has been living in Ireland for a decade, is wanted in the US to face charges relating to the conspiracy to provide material support for terrorists and attempted identity theft to facilitate an act of international terrorism.

Oh, yeah, Damache is also suing the Irish government over abusing his human rights in a Cork prison. He claims the other inmates and guards "insulted" him. No, I'm serious. If he thinks his rights are being violated when people insult him, I can't wait to see his reaction when they tell him to pick up the soap.

Heartbreak Co-Conspirator in Jihad Jane Case Can't Pray in Irish Prison Because of the Porn

I've waited a very long time for this.

An Algerian man jailed in Ireland and wanted by the United States on terrorism charges filed a damages suit against the Irish state on Tuesday, saying his prison conditions were "not even suitable for animals".

Ali Charaf Damache is wanted by the FBI for conspiracy in a foiled international plot to murder a Swedish cartoonist whose depiction of the Prophet Mohammad with the body of a dog caused outrage in Muslim countries.

"Cork Prison is not even suitable for animals," Damache, 47, told the High Court. "There was a television and radio (in my cell). When I practiced my prayer they (cellmates) deliberately put the volume up (and) they put pictures of naked women on the wall. I can't pray in a place where there are naked pictures..."

Oh the horror, if anyone has, you know, contact with some of Damache neighbors, ask them to put this one up for us.

Damache said he had been unable to wash before prayer and handling the Koran, as his faith requires, and was usually allowed to shower and change his underwear just once a week

Also I hear there is a rumor he's keeping hashish in his rectum. Better check that.

Damache was convicted in the Jihad Jane plot. Another accomplice Jihad Jamie (aka Jamie Paulin-Ramirez married Damache upon her arrival in Ireland only to find that Damache was only interested in the Muslima as a sex slave.

Colleen "Jihad Jane" LaRose "Echo Chamber" Documentary

I was interviewed by Irish national radio (RTE) for a documentary they were making on Colleen "Jihad Jane" LaRose. Surprisingly, not only is my voice prominently featured from the get-go, they also named the documentary after something I said in the interview.

You can listen or download it here.

Just as a point of clarification, the "we" I keep referring to in the documentary are myself, Howie, Stable Hand, and the folks who used to run the YouTube Smackdown. A lot of the credit for the Jihad Jane takedown goes to others, but that seems not to have made it out of the editing room.

Thanks to Tony, Mark, and the Irish crew for the link.

Jihad Jane Accomplice Pleads Guilty, On the Way to US

Well, this is surprising:

An Algerian at the center of the so-called Jihad Jane conspiracy unexpectedly pleaded guilty during an Irish proceeding on Wednesday that may hasten his extradition to the United States on terrorism charges, a court official said.

Ali Damache, who has lived in Ireland for a decade, pleaded guilty in court to a single count of sending a menacing message by telephone to an American Muslim activist, according to a court official in Waterford, Ireland.

Damache was Colleen "Jihad Jane" LaRose's contact in Ireland. She stayed with Damache as she stewed over her inability to kill the blasphemous cartoonist Lars Vilks. Colleen's friend from Colorado, "Jihad Jamie" Paulin-Ramirez's flew to Ireland and married Damache on the day she met him, but later regretted the decision.

It's not clear exactly how involved Damache was in the plot, but Colleen has suggested to reporters that although the plot was partially Damache's idea, that she was mad at him for not being urgent enough in his zeal to kill Vilks.

Interestingly, as soon as Damache plead guilty he was released from custody for time served. Immediately following his release, he was re-arrested on an extradition warrant and will now be sent to the US to stand trial for the more serious terrorism charge.

So, consider this your cornhole warning Mr. Damache.

Jawa And Smackdown Gets Press
Well Except Jawa

More MSM follow up on Jihad Jane.

Colleen LaRose, the middle-aged American woman who called herself Jihad Jane, hurried to the computer in her duplex near Philadelphia -- the place where she had spent months entertaining murder.

It was July 17, 2009, and almost four months had passed since LaRose had agreed to kill in the name of Allah. Now, the FBI left a calling card on her doorstep. How had they found her? And what did they know?

For more than a year, LaRose had clashed online with YouTube Smackdown, a group that flagged and reported hate speech and jihadist activity. Maybe they had contacted the FBI. But so what? Her YouTube rants couldn't be considered a crime.

*Yeah so what if the Jawas we're tracking Jihad Jane, they're totally harmless.

Colleen and Khalid's legal teams are doing a good job painting them as unfairly oppressed in a bid to get mercy for their clients. A mercy that Colleen in her Jihadi days never argued should be applied to those filthy Kuffar. She rejoiced in the merciless killing of those who she saw as enemies of Islam.

*Mr. O'Reilly can suck it.

She Wanted Holy War ... But Ended Up a Maid, a Cook, & a Sex Slave

An interesting article about the Colleen "Jihad Jane" LaRose conspiracy to kill Lars Vilks. I can't say I agree with all of the conclusions, but there's some interesting material here. This part sticks out about co-conspirator Jamie Paulin Ramirez:

Ramirez, a lonely Colorado woman known as Jihad Jamie, headed to Europe to train for holy war. She was lured to Ireland by a Muslim man promising a pious, married life but soon came to believe that all he really sought was a cook, a maid and a sex slave.
It reminds me of that old Black Panther joke.

Q: What's a woman's position in the revolution?
A: Prone.

Oh, I forgot. That wasn't a joke.

PS-- I just remembered I was interviewed for this article. It's been a few months, so I kind of put it out of my mind. I'm not quoted. The author wanted to get together and talk, but it never really worked out given he wanted to come to me and I wanted to stay anonymous.

A second part in the series will be published tomorrow. Here's another excerpt. It's at this point that the YouTube Smackdown peeps (including Howie and Stable Hand) dropped the dime on Jihad Jane:

By summer 2008, LaRose was posting jihadist videos on YouTube and MySpace. She used various names online, including Sister of Terror, Ms. Machiavelli and Jihad Jane. During the next year, she exchanged messages with avowed jihadists - people with codenames such as Eagle Eye, Black Flag, Abdullah and Hassan -- as well as with a woman in Colorado who seemed a lot like her.

LaRose didn't try to hide her posts. She didn't know how....

She asked what she could do to help.

His first request seemed innocent enough: Send money to your Muslim brothers and sisters, he told her. So she did, dipping into cash that her boyfriend gave her.

LaRose knew that sending money to people who might be jihadists could be illegal, but who was watching her?

She actually posted a request for money for the mujahideen on her YouTube account. That's when those of us who had been following her antics knew she had crossed a line.

There's lots more in the story including: her DD boob job bought for her by her longtime boyfriend, the fact that she really was a prostitute in her youth.

Everyone Wave Buh Bye to Jihad Jane (Colleen LaRose)

Another happy landing. FOXNEWS:

A Pennsylvania woman who called herself Jihad Jane and admitted she plotted to kill a Swedish artist who offended Muslims faces a life sentence in December.

"I noted this woman's dedication to Osama Bin Laden"

Court papers show the 48-year-old LaRose called herself Jihad Jane in an online video and said she was "desperate" to help Muslims.

LaRose pleaded guilty to conspiracy to murder a foreign target and support terrorists and lying to the FBI. The murder plot wasn't carried out.

You know in my personal interactions with Jihad Jane I found her to be an all around nasty and vile personality, she was as mean and nasty in private as her writing suggests. Good riddance.

Another Jawa Foe Pleads Guilty in Terror Case

Mohammad Hassan Khalid, aka "hassan@almanhajribat.com", plead guilty today for his minor role in the Jihad Jane plot to kill Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks for "blaspheming" Mohammad.

Khalid was an online friend of Colleen "Jihad Jane" La Rose, and assisted in her attempts to raise money for terrorists. He even hid a passport she had stolen which she had intended to use in the plot.

But that wasn't the only terrorist the kid from suburban Maryland hung out with online. Above is an image of a chat session between Khalid and Emerson Begolly, then calling himself "Abu Nancy". The conversation was presented as evidence against Begolly in his indictment.

Apparently terrorists do care about my thoughts on their sexual orientation. So, we can put that important question to rest.

A Maryland teen pleaded guilty Friday to U.S. terror charges for offering assistance to an American woman who dubbed herself "Jihad Jane" and supported an Irish terror cell bent on waging a Muslim holy war in Europe.

Mohammad Hassan Khalid, now 18, faces a 15-year prison sentence for a single count of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists for his offer to raise money and recruit terrorists for jihad.

Hey Khalid: Watch out for the cornhole, buddy.

Jihad Jane Co-Conspirator Who Talked Trash About Jawa Report Changes Plea to Guilty

Mohammad Hassan Khalid chats as "hassan" (his "kunya" = nickname) with Emerson "Goatly" Begolly, chatting as "Abu Nancy". Begolly was indicted in a terror plot unrelated to Jihad Jane

Our old friend Mohammad Hassan Khalid has decided to change his plea to guilty:

A Maryland teenager accused of helping a terror cell based in Ireland will plead guilty to a U.S. terrorism charge, according to court papers filed Monday.

Mohammad Hassan Khalid became a rare juvenile suspect held in FBI custody after his arrest last summer, when he was a 17-year-old high school student in Ellicott City, Md. Khalid had met a Pennsylvania woman who called herself Jihad Jane in an online chat room when he was 15 and had agreed to help her seek money and recruits to wage a Muslim holy war in Europe and South Asia, authorities said.

I wonder how he feels about my mother and my sexual orientation now? I'm guessing he's much more worried about the corn hole.

Guy Who Trash Talked Rusty's Mom Pleads Not Guilty to Terror Charges

No, there's no law against talking smack about my mom online. But there are consequences:

A high school honors student pleaded not guilty Monday to charges he helped the American terrorist dubbed "Jihad Jane" raise money and recruits for a Muslim holy war....

Federal prosecutors allege that [Mohammad Hassan] Khalid tried to recruit men to wage a holy war in Europe and South Asia, and women with passports who could travel there. He had met a middle-aged Pennsylvania woman, Colleen LaRose, in online chat rooms when he was about 15, according to last week's indictment. LaRose was being watched by the FBI after posting YouTube videos in which she dubbed herself "Jihad Jane" and vowed to kill or die for the jihadist cause.

Karma, it's a bitch.

Two More Charged in Jihad Jane Case
Indictment Against Jawa Report Hater Unsealed

It's about freakin' time. This is a followup to a couple of earlier posts on Colleen "Jihad Jane" LaRose's accomplices. Both had been indicted, but Mohammad Khalid was a minor until recently and his indictment was under seal. The charges against Damache in this indictment supersede an earlier indictment against him.

I'll update it later with some more info and links to earlier posts for background info. But let's also not forget that Mohammad "Hassan" Khalid was online chat buddies with Emerson Begolly, both of whom called me a "fag" and talked about my mom in evidence presented in Begolly's indictment. He also admitted to Begolly that he had fantisized about a Columbine style attack against the children of government workers at his high school (lots of background info at that link).

Here's the FBI press release from Philedelphia:

Two Indicted for Conspiracy to Provide Material Support to Terrorists

Ali Charaf Damache, an Algerian man who resided in Ireland, and Mohammad Hassan Khalid, a Pakistani citizen and U.S. lawful permanent resident who resided in Maryland, have been charged with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists in a superseding indictment returned today in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

The charges were announced by Lisa Monaco, Assistant Attorney General for National Security; Zane David Memeger, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania; and Mark Giuliano, Executive Assistant Director of the FBI’s National Security Branch.

Damache, aka “Theblackflag,” 46, is charged in the superseding indictment with one count of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and one count of attempted identity theft to facilitate an act of international terrorism. Damache was arrested by authorities in Ireland in March 2010 where he is currently being held on unrelated charges. The United States intends to seek his extradition from Ireland to stand trial in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. If convicted of the charges against him in the superseding indictment, Damache faces a potential sentence of 45 years in prison.

Khalid, aka “Abdul Ba’aree ‘Abd Al-Rahman Al-Hassan Al-Afghani Al-Junoobi W’at-Emiratee,” 18, is charged in the superseding indictment with one count of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists. Khalid was arrested in Ellicot City, Md., on July 6, 2011, and is currently in custody in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. If convicted of the charge against him in the superseding indictment, Khalid faces a potential sentence of 15 years in prison.

“Today’s indictment, which alleges a terrorist conspiracy involving individuals around the globe who connected via the Internet—including a teenager and two women living in America—underscores the evolving nature of violent extremism.” said Assistant Attorney General Monaco. “I thank the many agents, analysts, and prosecutors who helped bring about this case.”

“Protecting the citizens of the United States from acts of terrorism is one of the highest priorities of the Department of Justice,” said U.S. Attorney Memeger. “This case demonstrates that we must remain vigilant within our communities to make sure that we bring to justice those terrorists, of any age or background, who seek to do great harm to our citizens.”

“This investigation highlights the diverse threat environment we face today,” said FBI Executive Assistant Director Giuliano. “As revealed in this case, individuals used the Internet to further their radicalization and contribute to the radicalization of others. The FBI is committed to disrupting individual and group plots and doing so in close coordination with our law enforcement, intelligence and private sector partners.”

The indictment alleges that, from about 2008 through July 2011, Damache and Khalid conspired with Colleen R. LaRose, Jamie Paulin Ramirez, and others to provide material support and resources, including logistical support, recruitment services, financial support, identification documents and personnel, to a conspiracy to kill overseas. LaRose, aka “Fatima LaRose,” aka “Jihad Jane,” pleaded guilty in February 2011 in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania to conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists, conspiracy to kill in a foreign country, false statements, and attempted identity theft. Ramirez pleaded guilty in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in March 2011 to conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists.

According to the indictment, Damache, Khalid and others devised and coordinated a violent jihad organization consisting of men and women from Europe and the United States divided into a planning team, a research team, an action team, a recruitment team and a finance team; some of whom would travel to South Asia for explosives training and return to Europe to wage violent jihad.

The indictment alleges that Damache, Khalid, LaRose, and others recruited men online to wage violent jihad in South Asia and Europe. In addition, Damache, Khalid, LaRose, and others allegedly recruited women who had passports and the ability to travel to and around Europe in support of violent jihad. The indictment further alleges that LaRose, Paulin-Ramirez, and others traveled to and around Europe to participate in and support violent jihad; and that Khalid and LaRose and others solicited funds online for terrorists.

For example, the indictment alleges that in July 2009, Damache sent an electronic communication using the username “Theblackflag” to Khalid, asking Khalid to recruit online “some brothers that can travel freely . . . with eu passports . . . .[A]nd I need some sisters too.” Damache also allegedly advised Khalid that “sister fatima will be charge of other sister care . . . . [W]e have already organized every thing for her. . . .” The indictment further alleges that Paulin-Ramirez married Damache on the day she arrived with her minor child in Europe to live and train with jihadists, even though she had never met Damache in person, and that, while living together in Europe, the couple began training Ramirez’s minor child in the ways of violent jihad.

Among other things, the indictment further alleges that, in July 2009, Khalid posted or caused to be posted an online solicitation for funds to support terrorism on behalf of LaRose and later sent electronic communications to multiple online forums requesting the deletion of all posts by LaRose after she was questioned by the FBI. In August 2009, Khalid allegedly sent a questionnaire to LaRose in which he asked another potential female recruit about her beliefs and intentions with regard to violent jihad. In addition, Khalid allegedly received from LaRose and concealed the location of a U.S. passport that she had stolen from another individual. This case was investigated by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force in Philadelphia, and the FBI Field Divisions in New York, Denver, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore. Authorities in Ireland also provided assistance in this matter.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams, in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and Matthew F. Blue, Trial Attorney from the Counterterrorism Section of the Justice Department’s National Security Division. The Office of International Affairs in the Justice Department’s Criminal Division also provided assistance.

The charges contained in an indictment are mere allegations and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

Note to Friends: The Jawa Report Had Nothing to do with "Mohammad K." Arrest in MD

Too often we don't get credit for the things we do here at The Jawa Report. But then sometimes, well, we get credit for the things we didn't do:

The Maryland teenager secretly arrested by the FBI for allegedly conspiring with the woman from the Philadelphia suburbs known as Jihad Jane also spoke of a Columbine-style plot with a Pittsburgh-area friend in a jihadist chat room, according to sources and documents...

It could not be determined Saturday whether the authorities took any immediate action based on the threatening remarks, which were reported to the FBI by the anti-jihadist group MyPetJawa.

I wish I could claim this one people, but it wasn't me or any of the other Jawas.

Now, it would be fair to say that we knew about Jihad Jane long before she was arrested. And it would be fair to say that we were keeping tabs on her. But it was a friend of a friend who turned in Colleen "Jihad Jane" LaRose in.

It would also be accurate to say that we had been keeping an eye on Emerson "Goatly" Begolly before he was arrested and that his activities had been duly noted by the right people.

But the conversation between Begolly and Jihad Jane's friend Mohammad K. in which the two talked about a Columbine style attack? That was the FBI that captured the conversation and published it as an exhibit in the Begolly indictment.

I think I was the first to note the Columbine conversation publicly, but that's about it.

I really wish I could claim credit, but it wasn't me. Sorry to disappoint. I don't know how the reporter came to the conclusion that we had something to do with it.

Another Terrorist Tied to Jihad Jane and Emerson Begolly Arrested
Had Fantasies of Terrorism, Columbine Style Attack on School
Bonus: Calls Rusty a "pig" and a "fag"

Jihad Jane

Colleen "Jihad Jane" LaRose's underage accomplice has been arrested. We've known about an unindicted co-conspirator -- unindicted presumably because he was a teenager -- for some time from both the LaRose and Emerson Begolly indictments.

His chat sessions with convicted homegrown terrorist Emerson Begolly were introduced as evidence in the complaint against the former neo-Nazi turned jihadist. [pictured right]

In the supporting documents to the Begolly case the unnamed minor, who used the email hassan@almanhajribat.net, has a conversation with Emerson in which the two recount how "hassan" is chat buddies with Collleen LaRose.

In those conversations "hassan" claims to be in Maryland and to be the "unindicted co-conspirator" in the Colleen LaRose case. He also admits that LaRose had sent her common law husband's stolen passport to him for safekeeping.

It was her intention to give that passport to a man who went by the handle "theblackflag" that she had met online. LaRose had flown to Ireland to meet the man whom she intended to marry. Using the stolen passport the two would be more free -- at least she seems to have thought initially -- to travel to Sweden where they would kill Lars Vilks, the cartoonist who had allegedly blasphemed Muhammad.

"Hassan" claims that LaRose sent for other documents and some money she had entrusted to him, but that he had hidden the stolen passport at his high school.

Those same documents reveal that "hassan" fantasized about jihad, carrying out terrorist attacks, and dreamed of carrying out a Columbine style attack on his high school.

He justified the killing of these school children on the grounds that many of their parents worked for various government organizations, such as the NSA and FBI.

In addition to LaRose and Begolly, "hassan" also was familiar with another of Begolly's online associates, Zach Chesser. Chesser was the man behind the threats to Matt Stone and Trey Parker for portraying Muhammad in an episode of South Park . Chesser was later indicted for attempting to join the al Qaeda linked al Shabaab group in Somalia.

If LaRose, Begolly, and Chesser were known online friends of "hassan", then I am cited as an online enemy. in response to Begolly's complaint that "Jawa called me a fag", "hassan" says, "he is a pig". By he of course "hassan" means me, Rusty Shackleford.

He then goes on to say, "His mother died while giving birth to a fag like him."

How nice, he brings my mother into this.

If who your enemies are says something about who you are, let me say that I'm proud to have been called a "pig" and a "fag" by yet another would-be terrorist.

Here's the story on Fox News:

A U.S. teen from Pakistan is in secret custody, accused of helping recruit terrorists for the woman known as "Jihad Jane," a person close to the boy's family said Friday....

Charges filed last month accuse the 17-year-old of helping Colleen LaRose in her alleged efforts to incite an Islamic holy war....

According to both sources, he met LaRose in a chat room when he was about 15 and later agreed to help her raise money and recruits for the jihadist cause.

By his own account, "hassan" lied to federal agents on several occasions. He bragged about this to Begolly and said he hadn't sold any one out from the Ansar Mujahideen English Forum (AMEF), where Begolly was a moderator.

Too bad that's not going to save his cornhole, the story reports that "hassan" will be moved from a juvenile detention center and be charged as an adult once he turns 18 next month.

Do you hear that "hassan"? That's the sound of me laughing.

UPDATE: His real name is "Mohammad". Imagine that?

His family emigrated from Pakistan four years ago, and relatives say the boy - Mohammed K., of Ellicott City, Md. - was headed to Johns Hopkins University on a full scholarship this fall.
Before you go blaming all Muslims, if you actually read the conversations between Mohammad and Begolly the young man says that his parents took his laptop away from him on several occasions when they found he was hanging out at jihadi forums and collecting beheading videos.

So instead of surfing for jihadi porn from home he used .... the school library.

Some of the news stories are making a stink out of the fact that young Mohammad was interviewed by the FBI on at least 8 occasions without a lawyer. What they're not mentioning is that this was done with his parents explicit permission.

In one of his conversations with Begolly he recounts how his parents kept telling him to tell the truth to the FBI. Which, of course, he didn't.

This is by far the best news story about him, but be careful as much of the information is coming from the family who are understandably distressed about their son's arrest.

Most of the information above I lifted from the Emerson Begolly documents. I haven't had time to look at the Jihad Jane complaint, but the story lifts this info from it:

"I write this message on behalf of a respected sister," Mohammed allegedly wrote. "The sister has been in touch with a brother [who] appealed for urgent funds stating that his resources are limited. The sister has provide me proofs that have confirmed that the brother is . . . true. . . . I know the sister and by Allah all money will be transferred to her. The sister will then transfer the money to the brother. . . ."
Expect updates.

Younus Abdullah Muhammad of Revolution Muslim Arrested Charged

jesse mortonarrested.jpgInvestigative Project:

A second man has been charged in connection with threats made last year against the producers of the Comedy Central program "South Park."

Jesse Curtis Morton, (aka Younus Abdullah Mohammad) is charged with communicating threats. Morton helped run a website, RevolutionMuslim, with Zachary Chesser. Chesser is serving a 25-year prison term after pleading guilty to a similar charge and to trying to provide material support to the Somali terrorist group al-Shabaab.

After a "South Park" episode in April 2010 mocked the violent reaction of radical Islamists by portraying the Prophet Mohammad covered by a bear suit, Chesser posted a statement warning producers Matt Stone and Trey Parker that they "will probably wind up like Theo van Gogh for airing this show."

Van Gogh was a Dutch filmmaker who was killed on an Amsterdam street after producing a short film protesting the treatment of women in Islam.

According to an affidavit from FBI Special Agent Paula Menges, Chesser then collaborated with Morton on a "clarification statement" triggered by media inquiries.

"The Clarification Statement contained pages of justification under Islamic law for the death of those who insult Islam or defame its prophet, and for Muslims to bring about such deaths," Menges wrote. "In it, Morton and Chesser asserted in pertinent part that 'we will never tolerate the mocking or insulting of any one of the prophets,' and explained that the Islamic ruling on this situation was that 'the punishment is death.'"

Though the statement indicated they were not inciting violence, it included a quote from Osama bin Laden that threatened those responsible for Danish cartoons depicting Mohammad with "the freedom of our actions" as payback for their free speech.

That, Menges wrote, crosses the line between protected speech and conveying a threat because it warned Stone and Parker they "would be on the receiving end of actions analogous to those of bin Laden if they refused to change their ways."

The clarification statement included a picture of Van Gogh's body after a stranger killed him "for making a film that was perceived to have insulted Islam." Even if they were not making a direct threat, their statement posted on radical Islamist websites could inspire others to act. "[B]y issuing that statement, they certainly knew that violence was likely to be incited by it anyway."

The indictment is here.

Jihad Jane's (aka Colleen LaRose) Bud Jihad Jamie (aka Jamie Paulin-Ramirez) to Plead Guilty to Terrorism Charge

The HuffPo wonders if Rep. King will start targeting 'white women'. What makes them think white women/men aren't Muslims? Racists!!!

The crew at YouTube Smackdown aided in the arrest of Jihad Jane, who plead guilty in February. Icing, meet cake:

PHILADELPHIA — A defense lawyer says a U.S. woman charged with aiding foreign terror suspects she had met online will plead guilty to a terrorism charge Tuesday in Philadelphia.

Jamie Paulin-Ramirez, of Leadville, Colo., faces up to 15 years in prison for conspiring to aid terrorists.

Federal prosecutors say she and Colleen LaRose, a Pennsylvania woman who dubbed herself "Jihad Jane" online, took steps to help incite a holy war in Europe and South Asia.

Hmmm, I wonder who Jihad Jamie ratted out? Also, will she get to share a cell with her lover Jihad Jane?

Longtime "Friend" of the Jawa Colleen "Jihad Jane" LaRose Pleads Guilty ***Sticky***

Oh Colleen, it seems like only yesterday that you were busy supporting terrorism all over YouTube. You would put up videos, and we would pressure YouTube to take them down. And all the jokes at your expense. Jokes about fat wannabe jihadists who would be more comfortable on the set of Jerry Springer than on the streets Riyadh.

Without you around, what am I going to do? I kind of feel like The Joker to your Batman. You complete me.

And if I'm feeling this way about your imminent demise, I can't help but wonder how the crew at the YouTube Smackdown feel? Alas, your antics will be missed.

Okay, not really:

A Pennsylvania woman who called herself "Jihad Jane" online pleaded guilty Tuesday to her role in a plot to kill a Swedish cartoonist who had offended Muslims.

Colleen LaRose, 47, helped foreign terror suspects intent on starting a holy war in Europe and South Asia, prosecutors said....

In e-mails recovered by the FBI over 15 months, LaRose agreed to marry an online contact from South Asia so he could move to Europe. She also agreed to become a martyr, the indictment said.

The man she had agreed to marry told her in a March 2009 e-mail to go to Sweden to find the artist, Lars Vilks, who had depicted the Prophet Muhammad with the body of a dog, the indictment said....

LaRose pleaded guilty Tuesday to four counts: conspiracy to support terrorists, conspiracy to kill in a foreign country, lying to investigators and attempted identity theft....

Among those LaRose allegedly recruited was Paulin-Ramirez, a single mother who also spent long hours on the Internet before moving to Ireland with her 6-year-old son and marrying a terror suspect from Algeria the day she arrived.

Goodbye Colleen, watch out for the cornhole. Or something like that.

Lawyer: Woman called 'Jihad Jane' plans to plead guilty

(CNN) -- Colleen LaRose, the woman who authorities say called herself "Jihad Jane" on YouTube, has changed her mind about fighting government charges that she was plotting to wage violent jihad overseas.

Her attorney, Mark Wilson, told CNN Friday "she is going to plead guilty" at a change-of-plea hearing next week in Philadelphia federal court.

LaRose was indicted in 2009 on four counts, including conspiring to support terrorists and kill someone overseas. She was allegedly part of a plot to murder Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks, who outraged some by depicting the prophet Mohammed with the body of a dog in 2007.

Five other co-conspirators were allegedly involved, but never named by the government.

LaRose also is accused of lying to a federal agent and attempted identity theft. She faces a possible sentence of life in prison.

Wilson would not comment about whether his client has been cooperating with authorities in hopes of avoiding the possibility of spending the rest of her life behind bars.

"I share the same hope that she does, that she will be out of jail sooner than later," Wilson said. He does not think LaRose will be freed after being given credit for time served.

She has spent nearly two years behind bars since her arrest.

"She will do time," Wilson added.

Rusty will be along with an update....but he works for a living...not like us hobos who blog for him and live under the railroad bridge.

Meet Jihad Kathie (Sticky) Jawa Report Cited!

A 46-year-old Indiana grandmother is under investigation for her possible ties to suspected and convicted international terrorists, FoxNews.com has learned.

Muslim-convert Kathie Smith, 46, a U.S. citizen living in Indianapolis who has blogged about her granddaughter, last year married a suspected German jihadist, and has been flying back and forth between the U.S. and Germany as recently as two weeks ago.

A pro-jihadist video featuring Smith and her husband – alongside photos of members of the Islamic Jihad Union charged with plotting failed terror attacks against U.S. targets in Germany -- is being investigated by the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center. The center is a counterterror intelligence clearinghouse staffed by law enforcement officers from local and federal agencies, including the FBI and Department of Homeland Security.

...On Facebook, he is "friends" with the notorious Al Qaeda English-language online magazine Inspire, thought to be principally authored by American-turned-Muslim radical Samir Khan. Salahudin also has used his online posts to call for the deaths of U.S. citizens, military and government leaders, and recently joined in on another user’s thinly veiled threats against Condoleezza Rice, according to postings discovered by FoxNews.com and screen shots provided by the Jawa Report, a watchdog blog that has been following the online activities of Smith and her husband.

Read more:

Here's the video in question. I've quite a bit more here. Will add some updates.

Jihad Kathie's husband is also known as Salahudin Ibn Jafar in many places. He's a longstanding Jihadi propagandist and al-Qaeda supporter. What kind of folks does he hang out with. Well, despite his furious scrubbing of his Scribbed account the last few days. And it was way late scrubbing. We can see some familiar faces.

Among them Yousef al-Khattab of Revolution Muslim as well as Samir Khan of al-Qaeda.

He follows.

His followers.

So somewhere this dude is running around Germany with Jihad on the brain, a large assault rifle and feeling the heat.

Jihad Jamie/Jihad Jane: Federal Judge Postpones Leadville Woman's Trial

Update on Jihad Jane/Jihad Jamie Trial Could Be Postponed

PHILADELPHIA (AP) ―A federal judge in Philadelphia postponed the trial of a Colorado woman charged in a global terror plot, and a defense lawyer held out the possibility of a plea deal.[...]

Paulin-Ramirez and Colleen LaRose, 46, of Pennsburg, Penn., have both pleaded not guilty to charges they helped foreign terror suspects intent on starting a holy war in Europe and South Asia.

Paulin-Ramirez and her new Algerian husband were among a group of seven terror suspects rounded up in Ireland in March, hours before federal prosecutors announced that LaRose had been in custody in Pennsylvania since November.

"It's still a possibility that she will go to trial," said LaRose's lawyer, public defender Mark Wilson. "The other option is that they would both plead guilty."[...]

On Monday, LaRose smiled broadly at the public defenders assigned to her case as she entered the courtroom in a prison jumpsuit and with an untamed mane of long, bleached-blond hair. By contrast, Paulin-Ramirez sat dour-faced behind wire-framed glasses, her light brown hair braided down her back.

Again, Ramirez didn't speak for fear of giving prosecutors a voice sample.

Jihad Jamie Returns to the Great Satan to Face Charges (BUMPED)

***Bumped******Scroll down for newer posts********

Jamie Paulin-Ramirez 31.jpg
WASHINGTON — Two law enforcement officials say federal prosecutors are bringing an American woman back from Ireland to face terror charges.

Jamie Paulin-Ramirez, originally from Colorado, had recently been detained in Ireland in connection to an alleged plot to kill a Swedish cartoonist whose drawing offended many Muslims.

Also while researching I ran across this "Jihad Jamie is saaaad" story. The most disturbing part is her new Husband taught her son to hate Christians.
Mott blamed her daughter's Algerian husband for her alleged involvement in the plot, saying the man embraced radical views that did not represent Islam.

She also said her six-year-old grandson, whom she nicknamed "Baby Huey," was brainwashed by the man and that her daughter "must have gone along with it."

"He told me he hated christians and that all christians needed to be punished," Mott said of her six-year-old grandson.

Update by Stable Hand: Houston Chronicle

WASHINGTON — Federal prosecutors filed terrorism charges Friday against a second American woman in the so-called Jihad Jane case, accusing the pair of plotting online to attend a terror training camp.

Jamie Paulin-Ramirez flew from Ireland Friday to Philadelphia, where she was arrested by agents with the joint terrorism task force there.

Somewhat confusing, did they fly back with her or did she fly on her own?

Update II By Stable Hand: Sources tell Jawa Report that Ramirez was accompanied on the airplane by federal agents.

Jihad Jane in Plea Deal

Colleen "Jihad Jane" LaRose plead "not guilty" today at her federal terrorism arraignment today. But don't let the headlines fool you, The Philly Inquirer has the scoop that today's not guilty plea was preliminary to a deal she's worked out with the Attorney General's office in which she flips on her collaborates.

My impression is that Charafe Damache, the Algerian husband of American "Jihad Jamie" Paulin-Ramirez, was the ringleader in all of this. So, perhaps she's ratting him out? One can only hope

As a teaser, stay tuned one of our authors here at the Jawa Report may have something personal to add to the Damache case.

Philly Inquirer:

The Montgomery County woman who calls herself "JihadJane" has confessed to the FBI about her alleged role in a plot to kill a Swedish cartoonist, according to two people close to the investigation.

Colleen LaRose confessed to FBI agents shortly after her October arrest at Philadelphia International Airport, where she had just arrived from London, said the two sources, who spoke on conditon of anonymity.

The story also recounts key events in Jihad Jane's life, including her trip to Amsterdam where she later claimed to have been led to Islam, the theft of her ex-boyfriend's passport, then:
The next month, she traveled to Ireland for two weeks, where she allegedly met with others organizing a plot against the Swedish artist who published a caricature of the prophet Muhammad, said people familiar with the investigation. She carried the stolen passport and a belief that she, as a slight white woman, would "blend in with many people" in Europe.
It was in Ireland that she met up with Damache and his wife "Jihad Jamie". The whole thing is worth the read (even if they still don't know how to link).

As a quick matter of correction, the report says that someone here at The Jawa Report tipped off the authorities about Jihad Jane. This is incorrect. A few of us were aware of Jihad Jane and we did track her from time to time, but mostly we just made fun of her. It was someone who is friends with the crew at the YouTube smackdown who reported "Fatima LaRose" to the authorities, not us.

And as I said may times before, I should have heeded my own advice that crazy is not mutually exclusive with dangerous.

Report: Jihad Jane Sent Me Threatening Messages

How did I first come into contact with Jihad Jane? I don't remember the precise moment, but for those of us who follow the radical Islamists who use YouTube to spread propaganda, she was all over the place. It wasn't just us or the Smackdown Corps that noticed her. And Jihad Jane noticed us.

Je Tabler discusses Jihad Jane's obsession and stalking of her at YouTube. Like me, Tabler thought of Colleen LaRose as more pathetic than dangerous. This even as LaRose became obsessive with sending messages to Tabler because her beheaded motoon avatar was offensive (see above right).

She even sent Tabler threatening messages such as, "If I knew where you lived".

My favorite part of the narrative:

Third, she didn’t appreciate it when I explained how tranny hookers like her would almost certainly fare much better in the West than in any Sharia state.
Tranny hooker? Jihad Jane resembles that remark!

Seriously, the entire article is worth the read.

Also, jdamn is a chick?

Jihad Jamie: Irish Motoon Murder Plot Update

A number of critical updates to the arrest of seven in Ireland in a plot to kill Swedish Mohammad cartoon "blasphemer" Lars Vilks. You'll recall that these seven, including "Jihad Jamie" Paulin-Ramirez, were online buddies with Colleen "Jihad Jane" LaRose.

In fact, Jihad Jane had stopped over in Ireland before proceeding to Sweden where she met with her online boyfriend and would-be co-conspirator and where the plot to kill Lars Vilks was supposed to take place.

Two of the men in Ireland have been charged and remanded in custody: The French Algerian Sharif Damache and the Libyan Abd Al-Salam Mansur Al Jahani .

That's Damache pictured above. I don't want to read too much into this, but notice the #1 finger he's holding up? This is a typical gesture made by jihadis. It signifies the unity or "oneness" of God but it is the sign adopted by jihadis the world over, kind of like the two-fingered "V" for victory sign.

So, he's either flashing his alleged jihad creds to his online buddies. Or he thinks he's number one.

The five others have been released, for now. But the Irish national police say there may be more charges announced soon for some of the seven.

Damache is charged (start at 14:35) with sending a threatening text or phone message to an American Muslim named Majed Moughni who organized a protest against Islamic terror in Detroit.

We reported on both the protest (only 50 Muslims showed up) and the death threat Moughani recieved. One wonders whether or not this threat by Damache is the same one we reported on back in January? The person who threatened Moughani claimed to be from France.

Damache admitted he had previously used the false names Thierry Garnier and Alex Garnier. This article claims that Damache used the fake identities because the names sounded French and that he had a French heritage.

A detective said there was evidence on Damache’s computer that he had access to a false identity and had plans to travel to Afghanistan and Algeria.

Jihad Jamie is pregnant with Damache's child. Poor kid.

The Libyan is charged with giving the false name Salim Almestry to officials when he claimed asylum in 2001.

These may be merely holding charges. The Irish police have said there may be more charges:

Brian J. Chesser and Charleen O'Keeffe, attorneys for the seven suspects, expressed surprise at the result of Monday evening's court hearing. "We had expected more serious charges," Ms. O'Keeffe said.
I also can't help but speculate that these holding charges may be just something until an extradition hearing to either the US or Sweden is held.

Related from the NYTimes:

an Algerian man and a Libyan man, were formally charged with relatively minor offenses that lawyers involved in the case said could keep them in custody while more serious charges, including conspiracy to murder, are weighed by Irish prosecutors. The lawyers said charges against the five others were also possible.

The two men are in jail until next hearing on Friday.

Keep and eye out and don't forget to keep sending me the tips!

Thanks to someone for helping me compile this.

Strange Twist In Jihad Jane Case: Jamie Paulin-Ramirez Was Released From Custody?!?!?!?(Updated)

As the jihad turns, or doesn't? Time will tell.

Colorado mother Jamie Paulin-Ramirez was released from custody in Ireland after being arrested in a plot to kill a Swedish cartoonist who angered many Muslims by portraying Mohammed with a dog's body.

Authorities are still holding three other suspects in that alleged plot, including Paulin-Ramirez' husband and Colleen Larose, who allegedly called herself "Jihad Jane" online.

Didn't see that one coming especially with all we have learned about her.

I keep thinking what her step father said:

"When her stepfather asked if she would strap a bomb to her chest, her mother said that Paulin-Ramirez replied, "If necessary."
Expect more updates.

Update: Times has more background on the arrests, and release of Jihad Jamie. Appears their terrorism laws need some tweeking:

This weekend three suspects remain in custody following the release of all three women and a man. Those released may yet face charges, a police spokesman said, while those still in custody can be held until Tuesday. [..]

The police presence outside the Kashmir restaurant[beginning of article] was far less relaxed early last week when 20 officers armed with pump-action shotguns stormed an adjacent apartment block and arrested a 26-year-old Croatian man.

At the same time police raids were being carried out in other locations in Waterford and Cork. Three married couples were arrested, all of them Muslims. The police would say only that seven people aged from their 20s to late 40s had been arrested under Section 50 of the anti-terror Offences against the State Act.

The link between the suspects, who made Irish legal history by appearing in the first private hearings at Waterford court so that police could extend their periods of detention up to a maximum of seven days,[ding..we have a winner] is strongly suspected to be “Jihad Jane”, an al-Qaeda “groupie” accused by the FBI of planning the murder of the controversial Swedish cartoonist, Lars Vilks.

As the Jihad Turns continues.

American Jihadist in Ireland's Facebook Photo Unsurprisingly Familiar

Jamie Paulin-Ramirez, the Colorado convert to Islam who disappeared last year only to show up in Ireland married to an Algerian and allegedly involved somehow in a plot to kill cartoonist Lars Vilks, seems to have had a Facebook page. It's down now but the Google cache shows something quite unextraordinary.

Here is her profile picture.

Which looks extraordinarily similar to her buddy Colleen "Jihad Jane" "Fatima" LaRose's.

Which should serve as a reminder that beauty is only skin deep. But ugly, that goes all the way down!
