If Terrorists Hold A Peaceful Protest And No One Is Around To See It, Is It Still Peaceful?

HAMAS leader defends violence against Israel because there are no Israelis in Gaza to peacefully protest against.

Kenny has more.

In comments to an article about "Fighting Hate... With Hate?" (Lol, oh the irony!), Jillian C. York, protector of anonymous bloggers, who stood by while Dick Silverstein went on an obsessive witch hunt to expose Aussie Dave, asks, "...what else could Gazans possibly do to resist?"

Why shouldn't terrorists use violence when, clearly, they have so much support from the leftist movement in America?

Update: Below the fold, I found this video of a very rare peaceful protest in Palestine. The peaceful protest spontaneously erupts when two Israeli women are spotted in a car.

Appeals Court Affirms Holy Land Convictions

Let's see CAIR run away from this one:

In Texas today, the U.S. Court of Appeals for Fifth Circuit has upheld the convictions of five jihadists behind the Holy Land Foundation, the piggy bank set up by the Brotherhood in the U.S., under the guise of “charity,” to fund Hamas to the tune of tens of millions of dollars during the deadly intifada.

The three-judge panel’s unanimous 170-page opinion recounts that Hamas was created by Brotherhood operatives in 1987 as the Brotherhood’s “Palestinian branch.” Thereafter, “the Muslim Brotherhood directed its world-wide chapters to establish so-called ‘Palestinian Committees’ to support Hamas from abroad.” In the U.S., the “Palestine Committee” was led by Mousa Abu Marzook (who, for a time in the early Nineties, actually ran Hamas from his home in Virginia). The Palestine Committee created not only the Holy Land Foundation but a number of other Islamist entities in the U.S. The leaders of one of those entities, the Islamic Association for Palestine, subsequently created CAIR — the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which was cited as an unindicted co-conspirator in the case.

CIF Watch: On the explicit antisemitism of the Guardian’s Deborah Orr

A excellent read, a few quotes doesn't do it justice so be sure and read it all

Of course, that the Guardian published a report on the Gilad Shalit deal by a journalist as hostile to Israel as Deborah Orr is not surprising to anyone remotely familiar with the paper adeptly characterized by Robin Shepherd as the mainstream Anglo publication most hostile to Israel in the world.

Nor is it surprising anymore when they publish essays or letters about Israel by commentators with a well-documented record of engaging in explicit antisemitism. While such contributors are often of the Islamist variety, recently they provided a forum to two of the most prolific modern (leftist) antisemites – Alison Weir and Gilad Atzmon.

However, as even the Guardian typically assures that such contributors maintain at least a thin “progressive” rhetorical veneer to furtively advance classic Judeophobic narratives, Orr’s latest piece stands out as a simply ugly, and thoroughly unrestrained, expression of animosity towards Jews[...]

Orr wrote:

“It’s quite something, the prisoner swap between Hamas and the Israeli government that returns Gilad Shalit to his family, and more than 1,000 Palestinian prisoners to theirs…[which is] an indication of how inured the world has become to the obscene idea that Israeli lives are more important than Palestinian lives.”
Those 1,000 "prisoners" were tried and convicted and some have Israeli blood on their hands. They weren't "kidnapped", they murdered innocent Israelis.

No matter what Israel does it is never enough. I'm glad Galid is alive (he is the first ever swap of coming back alive) and back home with his family but negotiating with terrorists is a no win situation.

Analysis: Schalit on Egypt TV: exploitative, abusive, cruel

Unbelievable, oh wait...

Israeli officials described Gilad Schalit's first interview after his release as "exploitative." They could have added amateurish, propagandistic, opportunistic and downright cruel.

Tuesday's travesty - carried live on state-run TV - was conducted by Shahira Amin, a leading Egyptian journalist who in February quit the channel for its skewed coverage of the popular protests that unseated president Hosni Mubarak. That Amin now appears to be doing Cairo's bidding bodes ill for hopes the "new Egypt" would usher in the first free media environment in the post-colonial Arab world.

The notion that Schalit agreed to give Nile TV an interview of his own free will beggars belief. Forcing him to do so immediately after his release from Gaza - before seeing medical staff, much less an Israeli representative or his family - is in itself an apparent breach of journalistic ethics.

That issue aside, more than a few of Amin's questions ran the gamut from fatuous to sadistic.

Is it any wonder he appears stressed? A masked Hamas terrorist was standing behind him and was also filming the interview. Hell, maybe for all he knew, he may have thought this was another Hamas propaganda video:
Hamas militants were in the area as the interview was being set up. One of them stood behind Schalit's chair, wearing a black face mask, a green headband of the Qassam brigades — Hamas' military wing — and filming with a video camera in his hand[...]

An ashen-faced Schalit answered a range of questions on his captivity and what he thought of the 1,027 Palestinian prisoners released for his freedom.

He was then handed over to Israeli officials and only then given a medical examination, where doctors determined he showed signs of malnutrition and lack of exposure to sunlight.

Video: Welcome home Gilad Shalit. Time for Israel to start executing convicted terrorists

"Execute the terrorists that Hamas wanted in the swap and didn't get"

"I would stick bacon in their mouth and put them in supplies sent to Gaza everyday"

I second that thought.

The Islamic rage boy rioting he is talking about: Muslims riot as their own are freed to murder again

Hundreds of Palestinian Authority Arabs threw rocks at Israeli soldiers as terrorists were freed at the Betunia checkpoint. The IDF fired stun grenades, tear gas and smoke bombs to disperse the rioters
Also, I heard on good authority that most of the terrorists released are now secretly working for Mossad. Don't say anything though, it's a sekrit

Galid's father had this to say about Galid's physical condition. No suprise here:

2 hours 51 min ago - Gaza

Noam Shalit, Gilad's father, tells reporters that his son "feels well" but that he "suffers some injuries as a result of inadequate treatment". He has some shrapnel wounds and suffers some maladies due to his lack of exposure from the sun.

"He could not communicate with others, especially in his own language," he added.

Yes, execute those prisoners Hamas wanted and more. Pack a bunch of bacon in their mouths and send them on their way.

The White House spokesman as well as other countries are hailing this swap as a step to meaningful peace talks. Step? What fecking step? Murderers were released for a Israeli POW who was denied visits by the Red Cross. He had no proper nutrition or medical treatment Plus, he can't even speak in his spoken tongue!

Peace talks my arse. Until the Islamists love life more that they love death terrorism will continue. Their only mission in life is to kill Jews, period!

Red Cross Hides HAMAS Terrorist In East Jerusalem

red_cross_supports_hamas.jpg

A few weeks ago, Stable Hand reported that the International Red Cross was pressuring its Israeli counterparts to remove the Star of David from its ambulances.

So, this story should not come as a surprise - the Red Cross has been harboring a terrorist in East Jerusalem for over a year:

Police arrested Hamas activist Muhammad Atun Monday morning outside the Red Cross building in east Jerusalem Monday. He was brought by investigators from the Police's Minorities Division for investigation.

Atun had his identity card revoked by the Interior Ministry last year for being involved in Hamas activities in Jerusalem. Since that time, police say he was holed up in the Red Cross building out of fear that he would be deported.

Report: Hamas weighing a resumption of suicide bombings' against Israeli civilians..

hamas toddler.jpg

Hamas must be working on recruiting children to do their dirty work. The Hamas Jihad summer camp certainly must have given them some "likely" prospects:

Hamas is weighing a resumption of suicide bomb attacks against Israeli civilians, a senior counter-terrorism expert warned in Herzliya on Tuesday.

Col. (Ret.) Jonathan Fighel, a researcher with the Interdisciplinary Center's Institute for Counter-Terrorism, spoke at the Institute's eleventh annual terrorism conference.

"We're seeing more and more Hamas flags in Hebron. The public atmosphere to Hamas is much more lenient. This allows the creation of operational terror cells. Hamas is taking into consideration the renewal of suicide bomb attacks," Fighel said.

Fighel, who served in various operational and field posts of intelligence and research at the IDF Intelligence Corps, and who has held several command positions in the West Bank, added that Hamas is "gaining influence in the West Bank and acting more freely.

"Gaining influence" thanks to the MFM narrative from liberal antisemitic activists...

Oakland Children's Museum Cancels Pali Childrens War Art Hamas Propaganda

SFGate

An Oakland children's museum, citing pressure from the community, canceled a planned exhibit of artwork by Palestinian youth that depicted the Israeli assault during the 2008-2009 Gaza conflict.

The Museum of Children's Art was scheduled to display the art from Sept. 24 to Nov. 13. The exhibit had been in the works for several months, with an opening reception to feature poetry and special art activities for children[...]

In one colorful picture, a row of buildings burn as five tanks move through the area. In the foreground, women and children are crying as are trees and the sun. What looks like a small, abandoned teddy bear lies face up in the street.

In a simpler image, a frowning girl with a bandage on her forehead faces out from behind prison bars.

"Even while the children in Gaza are living under Israeli policies that deprive them of every basic necessity, they managed through art, to express their realities and hopes," said Ziad Abbas, the associate director of the Middle East Children's Alliance, in a statement. "It's really very sad that there are people in the U.S. silencing them and shredding their dreams."

I guess there weren't any drawing of Hamas using women and children as human shields. That would have been a bit too realistic..

Middle East Children's Alliance is among a potpourri of Islamofacists/Islams useful idiots/leftist groups etc...

For instance:

Youth Graduate From Hamas "Summer (aka Terrorist Training) Camp"...

This year’s summer camps in the Gaza Strip were once again used by Hamas and its military wing to combine social activity with Islamic and political indoctrination and paramilitary training. UNRWA summer camps, which offer activities of a different nature, were again criticized by Hamas and some of them were harassed.

Hello Mudder Hello Fodder, I'm now ready to be a Modder:

The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center

1. In June-August 2011, as they do every year, the Hamas administration and military wing ran summer camps in the Gaza Strip. Registration for the summer camps was held mostly in mosques. The slogans for the Hamas summer camps this time were “Victory through youth” and “Camps of return” (Felesteen al-Yoom, June 12, 2011; Chinese News Agency, June 19, 2011). Tens of thousands of children and adolescents from elementary school age to high school age took part in the summer activities. As in previous years, in addition to social activities the camps also offered Quran lessons, indoctrination with Hamas’ political ideology, and paramilitary training.1

2. Hamas and other terrorist organizations operating in the Gaza Strip regard the summer camps as a means for inculcating their ideological values and nurturing the next generation of operatives and supporters. The core values are radical Islam, “the liberation of Palestine”, jihad and death for the sake of Allah, and other messages drawn from Hamas’ ideology and strategy in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict (e.g., support for the “right of return”, demand to free all Palestinian (terrorist) prisoners, the “liberation” of Palestine from Israel, and indoctrination of hatred against Israel and the Jewish people). The summer camps are often visited by top Hamas officials who help spread the political messages among the youngsters.

3. This year as well UNRWA operated an alternative summer camp system that hosted 250,000 Gaza Strip children (far more than the Hamas summer camps). The UNRWA summer camps emphasize social activity and promotion of such universal values as peace and coexistence, without the political-religious indoctrination and paramilitary training prevalent in Hamas’ camps. Consequently, these summer camps were once again harassed by radical Islamic elements that consider them competitors for the hearts and minds of the younger generation; also, UNRWA’s summer camps are accused of “corrupting” Palestinian children and adolescents.[More...]

CAIR Rep, Nihad Awad, Speaks On Hamas TV

hamas-cair.jpg

Birds of a feather

The executive director of the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) spoke on a Hamas-linked television channel, telling Arabic-speaking viewers that right-wing ideologues are fueling violence against Muslim Americans. It's not the first time that a CAIR official has hyped American Islamophobia to hostile foreign media sources.

According to a summary issued by the government's Foreign Broadcast Information Service, CAIR's Executive Director Nihad Awad appeared via telephone with the head of Jordan's Muslim Brotherhood group, the Islamic Action Front, and others for a July 23 broadcast of Hamas-linked Al-Quds TV

Discussing the terrorist attack in Norway and right-wing extremism, Awad said American hostility towards Muslims was bound to turn into violence. The Norway attack marked the beginning of a wave of violence against Muslims and left-wingers in the West, he said. Right-wing media in the West is living in a state of self-denial by claiming Muslims are dangerous and that their incitement isn't fanning violent hate.[More..]

What "wave of violence against Muslims and left-wingers (Islamist's useful idiots)"?

Some Flotillitards Now Turn To Flytillitarding

gaza_blockade_greece.jpg

Some pro-Pali "activists" that have failed to set sail to Gaza, due to Greek authorities being mean to them, have decided to fly into Israel's Ben Guiron Airport.

Naturally, Israel is adding extra security to deal with said activists. They plan on being nice and stuff to them cuz said activists want to get into a confrontation with Israeli authorities so they can film it and cry foul....Pallywood style

Aussie Dave has his own ideas on how Israel should handle the provocateurs. I like these two:

3. Have special bus waiting to transport them to Gaza. The bus should have Israeli flags painted on outside, and take the scenic route, going through places such as Silwan and other areas of east Jerusalem, as well as places in Judea and Samaria.

4. Have the women change into short skirts and the men shorts, and shirts with the words “ Down With The Modesty Police” or “Down With Terrorism” for both the women and men. Then drop them off in Gaza.

lulz

This Is What I Have Been Telling Flotards All Along

Now there is a video - Free Gaza from Hamas and a Free Gaza From Hamas Movement:

Psychologist and patient examine the motives of Freedom Flotillas, Flytillas and other such ploys to free Gaza that are becoming increasingly fashionable among anti-Israel, Pro-Palestinian Activists.

While their INTENTION to aid the Palestinian people is cause-worthy, their true agenda and MOTIVE are clearly NOT, as we shall soon discover.

On one hand, Activists want to help the Palestinians. But since they need publicity and funding for their cause, they need to find a sure-fire way to do so.

Well, as the Mavi Marmara experience taught us last year, they did. It's call Flotillas, Flytillas and friends...[...]

What the Activists don't realize, perhaps, is that by provoking Israel to stop the Gaza blockade, they are in fact severely undermining Israel's ability to defend itself against a sworn enemy, the Hamas government. Let's not forget that the Hamas refuses to privately and publicly accept Israel's right to exist and commits terrorist acts against Israel.

So we kindly request the Activists to find another way to support the Palestinian people without supporting the extreme Hamas government....

Not one activist has answered my question "Do you support Hamas"? and I follow with "Free Gaza from Hamas"

I guess that makes me an asshole, pure and simply, an asshole for asking.

Guilty as charged as Howie said.

Israel: A Soldiers Mother Personal Message To Hedy Epstein

Hedy Epstein has joined the rest of Islams useful idiots on the boat to Gaza. Hamas especially like people like her, makes for good publicity and/or a human shield. I'm sure the radical Islamists mingling among the other activists will keep a good eye on her. Old woman, self-hating Jew, her life doesn't mean a damn to them.

Stupid old woman.

The following is a must read:

Israeli Soldiers Mother

My message to Hedy Epstein as she sails to Gaza:
Your participation, in the flotilla brings shame to you and worse is a betrayal of your family, those that died in Auschwitz. It is hard to comprehend how distorted your view of life, of Judaism, and of Israel must be to bring you to the point that you sail against your own people. Yes, you’ll say you sail for human rights, for humanity and some such nonsense but last year’s flotilla – and very likely this one, displayed the worst of humanity.[...]

As a Jew, as an Israeli, I am deeply ashamed of you and believe you have betrayed all that they died for. I have little doubt you will rationalize this away as something honorable, it isn’t; as something brave, it isn’t. There was a reason why your parents worked so hard to get you on that children’s transport that saved your life…whatever that reason was – it was not so you could betray the people they were, the religion they held.

Shame on you, Hedy Epstein and may you parents find comfort not in you, but in so many of the other children who survived as you did – but who came to live in Israel to build it, not to destroy it; to honor it, not to betray it. Indeed, Hedy Epstein – shame on you.

Be sure to read it all

"Dutch pro-Palestinian activist" backs out of Gaza flotilla

Robert:

When I decided to subject myself to the sail and the long list of preparatory engagements and training sessions it entailed, I presented the organizers with one single crucial demand: I wanted to know exactly who would sail with me on the Italian-Dutch ship and requested to have the opportunity to meet them all in advance before embarking on the trip.[...]

The presence of Amin Abou Rashed suggests there is something to hide. He, too, sailed last year to Gaza with the flotilla, and he was arrested by Israel. According to various media, he is Hamas’ top figure in the Netherlands. He is also affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood. How much of this is true, I do not know. How much of this is not true, I know even less. That is the problem, and it creates an atmosphere of suspicion.

Over dinner Anne de Jong insisted that it was all lies and that Amin is a terribly nice man with an unbelievable amount of love for the Palestinians. However much I wished I could believe her and those blue eyes of hers, I could not do it. Simply because his involvement with the flotilla was kept secret until the arrival to Greece. And not only vis-à-vis the rest of the world, but also when it came to the flotilla participants. I find this to be detrimental.

On this dangerous action, the participants are laying their lives on the line. It is therefore only fair that they be provided with the relevant essential information. [Read the whole thing]

Egypts Muslim Brotherhood Hearted Hamas

Muslim_Brotherhood_Emblem.jpgNow that the Muslim Brotherhood is recognized as a political party with the name of "Freedom and Justice Party" (they felt the need to polish their image) I guess they feel no need to hide who they support.

Crazy Egyptians don't have a clue...or do they? Sandmonkey knows full well who they are but, unfortunately, he is more interested in getting the "Slut Walk" ladies to come to Egypt.

Joking aside, this fecks in so many ways

Egypt’s main Islamist group has long denied official links to the Palestinian terrorist organization, Hamas, but public statements and actions by its senior leaders have often gone a long way to undercut the credibility of such denials.

On Friday, Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie, eulogized little-known Hamas founder, Mohamed Hassan Shamaa. Shamaa, 76, reportedly died of a stroke after decades as a senior leader of the Gaza-based terrorist group. After his death, Hamas admitted Shamaa was the leader of the group’s governing body, or Shura Council. The identities of the Council’s other leaders is a closely guarded secret, and Shamaa’s name had never been previously disclosed.

Of Shamaa, Badie gave high praise and “offered condolences to the Muslim world in general and the Palestinians in particular…” In the eulogy, Shamaa is described as an “influential” public figure with an “exceptional ability to listen and dispense sound wisdom.”[More]

No comment from C.A.I.R. on this development, they tend to stay behind the headlines for the time being so to speak.

BTW, did you know al-Qaeda's #2 (and now #1 because of Bin Laden's wonderful demise) Ayman al-Zawahiri, at age 14, joined the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood? If you think the Egyptian MB is irrelevant..think again.

For how all of this relates to al-Qaeda read Tell The Children The Truth

Good News!! Record Turnout For Hamas' 2011 Summer Camp For Kids!!

hamas summer camp.jpg
Previous 'campers', no word if all are still alive after learning to be a human shield

ArutzSheva

Hamas is reporting record turnouts for its summer camps for children in 2011.

The 'summer camps,' combining Islamic indoctrination, paramilitary training, and social activities are set to begin again this year as United Nation’s summer camps, considered competition by Hamas, are being openly denigrated by jihadists[...]

In addition to indoctrination, Hamas terrorists give children paramilitary training. Banners are hung on the walls with slogans extolling jihad and 'death for the sake of Allah.'

Other prominent motifs for this year are solidarity with Turkey in connection with the Mavi Marmara flotilla, a call for the release of Hamas prisoners (campers carried posters with their pictures) and organized expressions of hatred for Israel and the Jewish people.

Regarding UN's summer camp
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency summer camp system hosted 250,000 children and adolescents in 2010. This year, as with previous years, the UN camps were harassed by jihadist terrorists.

On May 23, 2010 a group of 30 armed, masked men broke into an UNRWA summer camp site and burned it to the ground. On the night of June 28, 2010 armed, masked men broke into another UNRWA camp site in the Al-Zuweida region in central Gaza and set it on fire. In both incidents the arsonists were not identified.

I wonder how much it costs to learn how to be a splodey dope/human shield?

Good News! Egypt to open Rafah crossing permanently

DailyStar

CAIRO: Egypt will open its only crossing with the Gaza Strip this weekend, the Cairo military government announced Wednesday, significantly easing a four-year blockade on the Hamas-ruled territory but setting up a potential conflict with Israel.

Egypt's official Middle East News Agency said the Rafah border crossing would be opened permanently starting Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day except Fridays and holidays.

This gives Gaza Palestinians a way to freely enter and exit their territory for the first time since 2007, when Hamas overran the territory, and Israel and Egypt closed the crossings.[More]

Obama Middle East Speech: A Big And Revealing Mistake No One Has Noticed

Pallywood

Towards the end of his speech Obama quoted a Pali father about the so called killing of his 3 teenage daughters by the IDF. The father wasn't angry, he just wants peace .

[Barry Rubin]That’s genuinely touching. But in the specific case Obama cites — that of Izzedin Abuelaish on January 16, 2009 — there is strong reason to believe that the three girls were killed because of Hamas, that is Palestinian, actions.

According to an official Israeli inquiry, Hamas snipers on the roof of their five-story building were shooting at Israeli soldiers. The tank returned fire. In addition, though, the investigation could not rule out the possibility that the girls were killed by an explosion of explosives and ammunition being stored in the building by Hamas or even by fire from Hamas forces.[More]

Hamas TV Extols Female Palestinian Suicide Bombers and Jihad Fighters; Jihad-Fighting Mothers Urge Their Sons to Seek Martyrdom

MEMRI:

Hamas Minister of Women's Affairs Jamila Al-Shanti: "Palestinian society is, by nature, a society of resistance. Resistance does not mean only the bearing of arms. The people who aid those who bear arms are sometimes even stronger than them. The [Palestinian] woman is the wife of a resistance fighter, or the mother of resistance fighters, or else she herself is on the frontline, or she opens her home to resistance fighters. She is capable of doing everything. During the incursions [into Gaza], the women fought in every way possible. They confronted the tanks, they confronted the Zionist enemy.

"All means of resistance are available to women. In addition, we have a long list of female martyrdom-seekers. Need I say more? If you do the math, the number of male martyrdom-seekers is twice the number of female martyrdom-seekers. So the number of female martyrdom seekers is hardly insignificant. [More

"Son of Hamas" Guy Speak With Forked Tongue?

If this pans out, then Mosab Hassan Yousef has a lot of explaining to do. I'm not sure I believe the "infiltrate Christian churches" theory just yet.

Another explanation is that he really left Islam, hates his father's organization Hamas, but also believes Palestine ought to become a state. In that case, Israel would appear to be the enemy to an Arab from the West Bank.

You'll note that he doesn't say don't report terrorism. In fact he says do report terrorism, but not to Israel but to the Palestinian authority. Which kind of goes to the point of him being a Palestinian nationalist.

And I'm not sure why Palestinian nationalism is somehow antithetical to Christianity. At least, no more than any other type of nationalism.

Me? I'm a big tent Christian. I think scripture supports Zionism, but I don't think it's a litmus test for "true" belief.

Palestinians celebrate Hamas/Fatah unity deal terrorism deal on streets of Gaza

Give Peace Pieces a Chance

Hamas goes from mourning bin-Laden's death to signing the so-called unity deal with Fatah.

The signing of the Hamas Fatah unity deal in Cairo is a setback for peace and an advancement for terror, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told reporters in London on Wednesday.

“What happened today in Cairo is a tremendous blow to peace and a great victory for terrorism,” Netanyahu said.

“Three days ago terrorism was dealt a resounding defeat with the elimination of Osama Bin Laden. Today in Cairo it had a victory,” said Netanyahu.

He charged that in signing this deal, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas had “embraced” an organization that had condemned American action against Bin Laden, who it considered to be a great martyr.

“When he embraces this organization which is committed to Israel’s destruction and fires rockets on our cities, this is a tremendous set back for peace and a great advancement for terror,” Netanyahu said.[More

Haniya expressed his strong condemnation for the killing or assassination of any human or Muslim Mujahed, praying for mercy and acceptance of Bin Laden.
