Good Gun Control: Right Smack in the Cranium Edition

The last thing he needed was another hole in his head, oh well.

On Wednesday night, a woman in Dallas, Texas, rescued her two toddlers after a man jumped into her SUV and tried to drive away with them. Michelle Booker-Hicks jumped into the passenger seat and ordered the man to stop the car. When he refused, she reached into the glove box, pulled out a gun and shot him in the head, causing him to drive into a utility pole.

The man was transported to a hospital; his injuries were not considered life-threatening. He will be charged with kidnapping, breaking and entering, and robbery.

Too bad he lived, better deterrent if they die.

People of Wal Mart: Good Gun Control Edition

Some days you just can't win.

Police say a man who tried to carjack two people was thwarted after the victims both pulled out guns to protect themselves.

Detectives said the incident began when Hill robbed a Walmart liquor store, and attempted to flee in a silver Ford SUV. However, witnesses said the vehicle would not start, so he first tried to carjack Scott Reardean at knifepoint, cutting him on his arms and legs.

“I reached in between my glove box and my console, between my seats, reached down and got my weapon and brandished it for him,” Reardean told WJXT. “He was like, ‘Don’t shoot me.’ I was like, ‘Then get out of here.’”

Hill then jumped into the passenger seat of a woman’s car in a Starbucks drive-thru. Police said the woman got out of her car and grabbed a pistol from her trunk, pointing it at Hill until he ran off.

If all else fails, get a haircut!
Ultimately, police found Hill inside the bathroom of a Supercuts, where he surrendered.
Um, never mind.

Good Gun Control: Lethal Force Edition

Leave it up to the Beeb to think three dead burglars is a bad thing.

"They were dressed in black, all had masks on, and all had gloves on," Deputy Nick Mahoney told reporters.

The intruders - who police say were armed with brass knuckles and a knife - were shot by a 23-year-old man in an act of "self-defence", officers said.

The son may not face charges due to so-called stand your ground laws.

First the Beeb files the story under Oklahoma in order to perpetuate the racist myths about Oklahoma being a war zone. In Europe and the UK everyone believes that Oklahoma is an alcohol and meth fueled firearm extravaganza. I say WTF is wrong with an alcohol and meth fueled firearm extravaganza? 'Merica.

But then again they would be shocked to know that so called stand your ground laws have nothing to do with this case. In America someone breaks into your house and you shoot them right between the eyes, that's considered fair play in all 50 states.

The teenagers broke through a sliding glass door in the back of the house before encountering the homeowner's adult son, who was armed with an AR-15 assault-style rifle, police say.

Also the AR was probably useful but any Semi Auto rifle or revolver can do the same thing Kill three men in three shots.. It doesn't have to be all black and scary looking to work. A pink gun with perfumed bullets like Rusty uses wil kill you just as dead.

Anyway the Twtitter thread is full of laments about the "carnage only surpassed by the Syrian war zone", if ya'll want to get your two cents in.

Anyway their getaway driver turned herself in. She said some shit about them being hungry and just trying to get a little bite to eat.

Good Gun Control: No Control Edition

Sometimes less control kind of works out.

Police said he suffered an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound to the face as a result of being run down by the car.

“He’s running away from the scene with a gun in his hand when the victims chased him in the car,” Hawthorne police Lt. Ti Goetz told KABC. “When they struck him, it launched his body up in the air and somewhere in that process, the gun in his hand fired, resulting in him getting a bullet in the head.”

Another happy landing!

Good Gun Control: Happy Ending On a Ventilator

The little gun that could.

A robber armed with an AK-47 was shot by a citizen with a handgun at a DeSoto Waffle House last week.

The robbery and shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. last Thursday at the Waffle House on Interstate 35. Police said the suspect came in wearing a hoodie and carrying an AK-47 with a large capacity magazine.

The customer followed Copper out of the restaurant, called to him and shot him several times when he turned around and pointed the rifle at him.

Cooper was hospitalized with serious injuries and was in a coma. He’s now awake, but not yet able to speak to police about a possible accomplice.

Why do they always have to learn the hard way.

To bad it wasn't a gun free zone, then the criminal would have just read the sign and moved on, and would have been able to breathe on his own.

Sandcrawler PSA: Guns Are Not Toys

We had plenty of Guns when I was a kid, there was the double barrel in the corner that you knew you would be beaten if you touched, Grandpa worked nights with four daughters. So that's what it was for.

I learned to shoot a rifle young, 8 or so. But the one thing we were taught is that they are not toys, they are not cool, they are serious.

So follow safety rules, just because you own one and like it doesn't mean its not dangerous. In fact the person most likely to be hurt is you.

So carry all you want, but carry safely, leaving your .45 in the floorboard with your four year old, not safe. In fact at four its doubtful kids even understand that shooting mommy is not fun.

Once she pulled her car over, she told deputies her 4-year-old son, who was sitting in the back of the truck, shot her in the back while she was driving.

The bullet went through the seat and entered her back, before exiting her stomach. Her son wasn't harmed and was reunited with family members. He will remain with family while the Department of Children and Families investigates.

Obviously lesson learned, the hard way.

Which is how most things are learned, except for me gun safety was learned this way, touch that gun without permission and I'll beat you within an inch of your life. Which was for the best. So I think I was taught well.

Good Gun Control: Stalker Lessons Edition

John Ganobick learned his lesson the hard way, shame though.

A Kentucky woman heroically turned the tables on the man who was trying to rob her at knifepoint by shooting him in the neck and buttocks with her own gun.

The unidentified woman was being stalked by John Ganobick on the night of January 26 when he followed her into a shopping mall elevator to the parking lot.
Exiting the elevator with her, he gave chase when she ran to her car and tried to beat her - leaving his victim fearing she would be raped.

But he quickly found himself on the receiving end of some rough justice when she pulled her Beretta gun from her handbag and opened fire

Shame that first shot was about six inches too low.

But at least every morning when he looks in the wavy prison mirror he's be reminded that he deserved it.

Appearing in court sporting a breathing tube that is a reminder of his injuries after the attempted attack, Ganobick has been charged with attempted murder, robbery and kidnapping..
OK everyone all together now, laugh at John.

Good Gun Control Dead End Edition

Trotwood Police were called to a home at the dead end of Atlas Road around 6:00 Monday morning.

he three suspects were caught on home surveillance outside the residence, before they kicked their way inside.

Police say two kids were asleep inside the home in the room where the invaders kicked their way in.

"Most of them woke up to the sound of them forcing entry into the home they kicked the back door," said Capt. Porter.

The suspects headed straight for the female who called 9-1-1.

"He hit me in the head with the gun 'cause I was in the laundry room," the caller stated.

The victim told Trotwood Police the suspects then demanded she lead them to "the money," and that she complied, leading them into a back room where a safe was located and two other kids were sleeping.

Trotwood Police said two of the suspects tried to steal a safe, while the third held the victim and two kids at gunpoint. They say the homeowner was able to get away and grab a gun she had hidden in the room, then started firing shots at the suspects.

"I got my gun and I started shooting and they ran!" the homeowner told dispatchers.

One suspect was killed by the gunfire, and was later found outside by Trotwood Police.

Good Gun Control Wrong Grandma Edition

This is a .25 auto, NOT the most powerful handgun in the world, but from a range of 2 inches from your eyeball it will suck a portion of your brains out of the tiny hole in the back of your head.

Jewell Turner was sitting in her minivan in the parking lot of her doctor’s office when a man tapped on her window. He wanted directions and she obliged. But, when the 74-year-old grandma turned her head, she claims the man put a knife to her throat demanding money and threatened to hurt her if she didn’t hand it over.

But, this criminal picked the wrong grandmother. He learned this when Turner pulled a handgun from her purse.

“I just reached down, got the gun and turned around and pointed it to his face. And I told him, I said, ‘You back off, or I’ll blow your head off.’ And his eyes got big and he just backed up and he took off walking down the street like nothing happened,” Turner recalled.
The robber escaped with $1.50 and his life. Lucky him.

Man Tackles Legal Gun Owner And OMG! WHITE PRIVILEGE or something...

Certainly, this story will cause some liberal heads to explode. Race has nothing to do with the case, but since liberals try to attribute white privilege to everything conservative, I'm sure they will have problems grasping what, exactly, happened and who to blame.

Do they blame it on white privilege and racism saying the white man stereotypically judged a black man who was legally carrying a handgun, or do they blame the black, gun-toting "Uncle Tom"?

Here's the story:

Hillsborough deputies arrested a man who spotted someone with a gun, followed him into a Walmart, and tackled him. The problem? The man with the gun had a concealed weapons permit, and the man who rushed him didn't call 911 or alert store security.

According to the sheriff's office, Michael Foster, 43, saw Clarence Daniels, 62, in the Walmart parking lot with a gun holstered under his coat.

Foster followed Daniels into the store, put him in a choke-hold and brought him to the ground, the sheriff's office said. He then started yelling that Daniels had a gun.

A struggle ensued, with Daniels yelling that he had a permit. Security detained both men until deputies arrived.

They confirmed Daniels had a permit for the gun, and arrested Foster.

I hope Daniels is unhurt and I hope that dickhead Foster gets maximum sentence for his idiocy.

UPDATE: Already, Moms Demand Action is lamenting the arrest. They seem to think the whole incident is the fault of the legal gun owner.

Good Gun Control: JJ Was A Good Kid, Sure He Was an Armed Robber But Look A Squirrel!

I mean he just really really wanted those Air Jordans that Kuffar was holding, we all know that Robbing the Kuffar is Halal, the ROP says so.

The Middletown teen who was shot and killed at the Dayton Mall over the weekend was trying to steal shoes from a man with a concealed carry license, police say.

Officials say the investigation shows that three male juveniles approached two men outside of the hhgregg store just after 10 a.m.. According to police, 16-year-old Jawaad Jabbar got out a gun and demanded merchandise from the men.

One of the men, who police say had a valid concealed carry license, produced his gun and shot Jabbar. Jabbar died from injuries sustained from the gunshot.
"This was a random act of, 'I want something that person has and I'm going to take it from them,'” said Sgt. Jay Phares of the Miami Township Police Department.

Miami Township and Miamisburg police departments as well as the Montgomery County Sheriff's Officer and Dayton Mall security officers assisted with the investigation.

Wait a minute who armed that Kuffar?
Officials say Jabbar was the only person injured. The investigation is still ongoing.

“JJ was a good kid, making good decisions and turning his life around. Everytime he stepped on the field, he was determined to be the best player. It's upsetting that his life ended so soon and I just want to send prayers out to his family and he will really be missed,” a fellow football teammate, Messiah Haralson, told FOX19 NOW.

Middletown Middles athletics sent a tweet Saturday night in honor of Jabbar.

FOX19 NOW spoke to Jabbar's father by phone late Sunday. He says his son is a world-class young man, a good athlete and a good student.

I can think of at least one very bad decision, his last one.

Good Gun Control: Quartermaine Edition

All it takes to stop a nut with a gun is one Quartermaine.

A doctor with a semi-automatic gun and a caseworker who was "nothing short of heroic" were able to wound and then subdue an armed psychiatric patient after he had killed another caseworker and appeared intent of reloading and shooting more people in a Pennsylvania hospital, police said today.

The patient, Richard Plotts, 49, suddenly pulled a gun out of his waistband and shot his caseworker, Theresa Hunt, in the head at point blank range while inside psychiatrist Lee Silverman's office for a scheduled appointment on Thursday. Hunt was killed instantly, authorities said.

Silverman dove to the floor, pulled a semi-automatic pistol out his pocket and had a furious close range gun battle with Plotts, who police said fired at least 10 rounds. The doctor, who was using a chair for protection, aimed his gun at Plotts and fired until it was empty, District Attorney Jack Whelan said today in recounting what happened.

The doctor, who was grazed in the head and wounded in the thumb while covering his face, was able to get out of the office, unaware that he had struck Plotts three times.

Well done, although he'll probably be fired for carrying his concealed weapon, for which he has a permit, in a gun free zone.

The looney had 39 more bullets, had he not been stopped there would have been many more casualties.

ISIS Begins Campaign to Take Iraqis' Guns

Never trust an Islamic State that does not trust its own Ummah with guns.

The other Sunni rebel groups, made up of former Iraqi military personnel, tribal elements and adherents of Saddam Hussein's Baath party, face a dilemma.

Tribal and rebel military sources say that after two days of talks in Mosul, they have been told that they must take an oath of allegiance to the new caliphate, and that only fighters from the Islamic State are allowed to bear arms.

Even if they take the oath, other fighters will still have to hand in their weapons.

As one senior rebel source put it, "our revolution has been hijacked".

But he said the other groups did not intend to engage in what they believed would be a losing battle with the Islamic State, which is rapidly consolidating its grip on the mainly Sunni areas that fell to its advance three weeks ago.

The non-Isis rebels are dismayed, and bitter that the Americans, who are giving $500m (Ł290m) to similar rebel groups in Syria, regard them as terrorists because they joined the insurgency against the US forces here, but later fought and expelled al-Qaeda.

What Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi really wants is to take Mohammad's seat or be Iraq's next Saddam. He's not interested in the Ummah or the Caliphate but his own power. Iraqi's need to ask themselves, can you really trust a former brainwashed GITMO detainee? I mean really. No telling what the American's did to him or who he's working for. (Just sewing Fitna ;-) )

So my advice to Iraqis in the General Revolutionary council is DON'T GIVE al-BAGHDADI YOUR GUNS! THAT'S INSANE. Not even Saddam took your guns.

Point 2. Dump that POS Euroweenie constitution and form a democratic republic with a limited Federal government, so that each region of Iraq gets a say in how it's run.

Point 3. If it's ISIS, it's foreign interference in your affairs. Probably controlled by the Jews and Americans. Kill it.

And that's about it.

New 'Smart Guns' Come With Remote Kill Switches

Remember the smart gun technology I posted about a few months ago? If not, go read it first.

Turns out, not only does the smart gun require programming for each use (imagine trying to program it in the middle of the night while someone is breaking into your home!), but the smart gun includes remote access. That means, the weapon could be disabled by satellite.

That might be fine if your handgun is stolen and you want to make certain it isn't used in other crimes. But who else would have access to disable your weapon?

But consider this - Attorney General Eric Holder is already pressing to mandate the smart gun bracelet technology. Also, California has a bill currently pending that would ban selling handguns without smart gun technology.

If gun-control advocates have their way, they won't need to ban guns. They will be happy to let you purchase all the weapons you want. Just don't count on those weapons working when you really need them to work.

Good Gun Control: Streets of Detroit Edition

Don't f*ck with Paris. She's packing .45 hollow points....

Her siblings now jokingly call her Rambo.

However, Paris Ainsworth easily could have been killed. Her attackers shot her four times, but she had eight bullets for them.

"If I wouldn't have had my gun I would be dead today," she said.

It was late Saturday night when she arrived home after working a double shift. She saw two men moving closer to her as she was about to get out of her car. Before she got out, she put her .45 caliber handgun in her pocket.

"He said, 'Don't pull it,' and he shot immediately,'" said Ainsworth.

She was hit three times in the side and once in the hand. It was not her shooting hand.

"I said, 'You mother (expletive),' and pulled out (my gun) and started shooting. One, he was right in the middle of the street. The other one was right here on the (side of the street)," she said.

... A police source says the two men were arrested after showing up wounded at Sinai-Grace Hospital in west Detroit, the same place where Ainsworth was being treated. Ainsworth had shot one of them in both of his legs.

I hope they enjoy their long stay in the joint. Way to take em out Paris.

Piers Morgan: Guns Turned Ft. Hood Shooter Bad

Piers Morgan tweeted that the Fort Hood shooter was a good guy until he got an evil gun:

Leftists just can't see the hypocrisy between how they view law-abiding gun owners and followers of The Religion of Peace™. Law-abiding gun owners don't share an ideology that demands others be harmed or killed. Yet, in the leftist mind, they are somehow more prone to violence than followers of an ideology that does.

That's not to say all Muslims are prone to violence. But why are liberals so quick to defend all Muslims when a few commit acts of terrorism, but so quick to condemn all gun owners when an individual goes on a rampage?

Clemson Pub Insults Law Abiding Gun Owners; Gun Owners Fire Back

Backstreets Pub in Clemson, SC posted this sign in their restaurant window this week:

The owner certainly seems to have some issues with law abiding gun owners. But what he didn't expect was the backlash he received from the very people he felt compelled to insult for no reason:

"NO CONCEALED WEAPONS ALLOWED. If you are such a loser that you feel a need to carry a gun with you when you go out, I do not want your business. Douchebag."

That's the message Backstreets Pub & Deli recently sent to gun owners with a sign posted in its store window. The backlash against the establishment, located in Clemson, S.C., was swift after the conservative website Twitchy posted several photos of the sign from Twitter.

The Washington Times reports that the pub has a one-star rating out of five on Yelp.com, "with pages upon pages of negative comments and reviews by Second Amendment supporters."

Liberals are outraged by the response of these law abiding citizens speaking out against the pub's unprovoked and derogatory sign. They fail to see the hypocrisy in how they treat some groups and how they treat right wing citizens.

Detroit needs to work on gun control. Take this woman to a shooting range and teach her to aim properly.

New Smart Guns: Would You Pay An Extra $400 Dollars To Make You Less Safe?

It takes over 13 seconds just to activate the watch. And that's in a relaxed, comfortable environment undoubtedly with plenty of practice. Let's just hope the batteries never fail in an emergency...

The Smart System iP1, a .22-caliber pistol made by the German gun-maker Armatix GmbH, can only function with an accompanying wristwatch, which is sold separately.

When the RFID-equipped watch is activated by a PIN number and placed near the gun — like when a shooter grips the handle — it sends a signal to unlock the gun and a light on the back of the weapon turns green, according to the report. Otherwise, the firearm stays locked and the light on the back remains red, it stated. (Source)

I'll stick with my current handguns that are always 100% ready to go and immediately accessible.

Debunking the DHS Sniper Meme

I saw that link over at Drudge the other day making paranoid claims about the DHS buying hundreds of thousands of "sniper rounds". I even followed the link to the 9/11 Truther sight "Infowars" where some idiot thought the .308 ballistic" Zombie Max" round was scary and I had to chuckle. This is so obviously stupid, I said to myself, that no one will believe it!

Of course, people are not only stupid they are paranoid, so when "news" like this breaks they believe it because they are stupid and it fits right in with their paranoid world view. But Bob Owens debunks the "article" thoroughly here.

Please, if you are stupid and paranoid read this.

Ministry of Irony: Gun Control Advocate Lobbied to Make Himself a Felon

Daily Caller:

A Buffalo, N.Y. community activist who is well known locally for pushing for a highly restrictive 2013 gun control law has been arrested for — wait for it — carrying a gun illegally at a public elementary school.

The arrested gun-control advocate, Dwayne Ferguson, caused quite a scene at Harvey Austin Elementary School, reports local CBS affiliate WIVB.

At about 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, police acted on a pair of anonymous 911 tips. A battalion of cops quickly swarmed the school. The brigade included over a dozen squad cars, the SWAT team and K9 units. The Erie County Sheriff’s Air One helicopter and what appears to be an armored vehicle also turned up.

... He said he frequently carries a pistol. He has a license but the license does not matter under the strict state law Ferguson helped pass.

Among much else, the 2013 law, deemed New York’s SAFE Act, made it a felony to carry a gun on school property, according to The Buffalo News.

While it was always illegal to carry a gun on school grounds, the new law bumped the crime from a misdemeanor to a felony in response to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

Throw the book at him, seize his weapons! Not matter if it is silly, he argued for silly!

Do you really think leftist gun control advocates would cut you some slack in a similar situation? Hell no they wouldn't.

He made his bed, not he should lose his rights and do the four years in the clink. Just like he advocated for. Additional irony is now that Dwayne is in trouble his fellow gun control fiends think zero tolerance gun free zones are a good place for Dwayne to be packing because he could have protected the students.

Some of Ferguson’s supporters echoed similar criticism, saying that carrying a weapon meant Ferguson could have helped police in the event there was a gunman actually threatening students.

“Dwayne probably was in a position to help the police not knowing that he was the one they were looking for,” said George Johnson, president of Buffalo United Front,

Hypocrites! Guns for me but not for thee.

The Most Irresponsible Gun Report I've Ever Seen

A young person should never ever be allowed to handle a gun without first being instructed in the proper handling and dangers firearms, even if its unloaded and controlled.

First of all, some of these kids are too young for that to start with. But the instruction of don't ever touch a gun is totally inadequate and disingenuous. You might as well tell them to point it at their face and leave the room.

The first instruction should be what end the business end is and never to point that end at anything you don't intend to kill. Loaded or not.

I received my first rifle at around 6 and I was appalled at the level of recklessness in 20/20's anti gun propaganda report. Its a worthwhile endeavor to prevent young people from having access to firearms, so you're going to do what? Hand a pre-school kid a firearm? Insane!

Anti-gui zeal has gotten the better of ABC's judgement in this case, to allow uninstructed and unready young people to handle any firearm is just beyond the pale of stupidity.

Its like send your child to learn to ride his bike on an interstate highway, unsupervised.

Maybe Sawyer was dunk again? That might explain it, I dunno. Geesh.

Update: Newsbuster agrees:

Gun Clinging Bible Reading Redneck Tea Party Gun Culture Doesn't Kill Many People

But Hip Hop Urban Democrat Voting Gangstas do a lot better.

Headlines that blame a "gun culture" for the high rate of firearm- related homicides in the United States are not too difficult to locate (e.g., here, here, and here). The need to eliminate this "gun culture" is then used as justification for restriction of 2nd Amendment rights. What goes unmentioned about the so-called "gun culture" is its pervasiveness, or lack thereof, throughout our society as a whole. Even a casual reader of local news headlines should not be shocked to learn that firearm-related homicides are more prevalent in some neighborhoods than others. However, what may be shocking is the near exclusivity of firearm-related homicides to a small subset of neighborhoods; neighborhoods that vote predominately for Democrat candidates.
So the "gun culture" the left paints as the problem "gun culture" in America is not the actual problem. Its the more urbane "gun culture" that results in the highest rates of homicide.

But what are *Crips and Bloods really? An organized community?

California Democrat Discovers Ghost Gun That Fires A '30 Magazine Clip' In Under 30 Seconds

When I first purchased a couple of 50 round magazines for my SKS, I loaded them up, fired them off, and then immediately regretted blowing $75 for less than a minute of thrill.

I can only imagine how it feels to waste so much expensive ammo in a half the time...
