Sandcrawler PSA: Lying to Kuffar to Advance Islam is Halal

Just remember the Kuffar aren't all that stupid when you do your permitted act.

A Louisiana college student has acknowledged she fabricated a report that she was assaulted and robbed of her wallet and Muslim headscarf by two men, one of whom she described as wearing a white "Trump" hat, police said Thursday.

The Lafayette Police Department said in a statement that it is no longer investigating the 18-year-old woman's claims, which were made within hours of Donald Trump's presidential victory.

Police said the student told investigators she was walking near the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's campus Wednesday morning when she was accosted by two white men who drove up in a gray sedan. Police added the student had claimed the men shouted racial obscenities as they knocked her down and stole her wallet and the headscarf, known as a hijab.

Ft. Hood Shooter Didn't See Combat, But that won't stop the Blame Bush/PTSD meme

Ivan Lopez from his Facebook account

So, you have PTSD -- or you think you do -- and yet you didn't see any combat?

The soldier who shot three people to death at Fort Hood apparently did not see combat during a tour in Iraq three years ago but was clearly troubled, under treatment for depression and anxiety and being evaluated for post-traumatic stress disorder...

There is no record that Lopez saw combat or was injured during a four-month deployment in 2011 to Iraq, where he was a truck driver, military officials said. At that time, American forces were withdrawing from Iraq.

Records show no combat citations or ribbons, the officials said. They stressed that it did not mean Lopez was not suffering serious psychological problems — only that they did not appear combat-related, as is often associated with soldiers suffering from PTSD.

They said there was also no medical confirmation the Lopez suffered a traumatic brain injury. Milley said that the soldier “self-reported” a brain injury.

I see Drudge has a headline up noting that the guy was taking Ambien because he wasn't sleeping well.

Why is it that when a guy is crazy that we always try to blame it on something? Combat stress. Brain injury. Ambien. His mother died.

Aren't most people who are crazy just, you know, crazy? Like they were born that way. That it's something in the brain.

My impression from the Ph.Ds in Psychology I work with is that pretty much most of the psychological theories stemming from Freud and those that followed his lead in tying psychological disorders to life experiences or events have pretty much fallen out of favor. Yet in the popular mind & media we try to create a causal string of traumatic life events to psychological disorders.

But, what do I know? I'm: a) not a psychologist; b) never been in the military.

So, I'll link you over to this at a great milblogger over at This Aint Hell:

Yesterday, thousands of veterans suffering from PTS didn’t shoot anyone...

Well, we know that people who do have PTS don’t normally hurt other people, they hurt themselves, but not the rest of us. So it’s unfair of Milley and the media to check off the PTS box as the cause for this incident.

And this followup:
As I’ve been saying all along, PTS has become an excuse for bad behavior, but on closer examination, something the media is largely unequipped to accept, that’s all it is – an excuse. An excuse largely accepted by the social engineers and our intellectual betters who have all of the answers and none of the experience.
Sounds about right to me.

Still, this is going to be laid to blame on Bush. Somehow.

Also, note that Ivan Lopez is a "white Hispanic". They say he's from Puerto Rico, which is a suburb of Peruvia. I think.

Oh, one other thing. The right-wing equivalent of the Blame Bush meme is that this is somehow Obama's fault for not allowing guns on military bases. I agree that it makes absolutely zero sense to not allow soldiers to carry weapons on bases. Of all the people in the world most trustworthy as a group to carry guns, those that serve in uniform are them.

So, I'm tempted to blame Obama fort this too. The only problem? Apparently the no guns rule goes way back to 1992 -- when George H.W. Bush was President. And was implemented in 1993, when Bill Clinton was President. (sorry, no link for this, but I read it somewhere last night but forgot to save the link)

Whenever an insane person murders someone it is tempting to blame larger forces. But in the end the only person to blame is Ivan Lopez. And thank God, he's dead.

UPDATE: I just talked to one of the Psychology professors and he pretty much verified what I wrote above. One thing he mentioned that I thought worth passing on was that he says that the current thinking is that traumatic or stressful events can affect the mind, but that such stresses have to be prolonged in order for any lasting damage. Single events don't cause psychological damage, but prolonged exposure might.

Also, he tells me that in his opinion Ivan Lopez, "is an Assh*le." That's a clinical diagnosis.

Judge to Spoiled Teenage Brat: Congratulations on Your Emancipation

oppressedebitch.pngBurger King is your oppressor now!

A New Jersey judge has ruled against a teenager’s request to sue her parents for immediate financial support.

Rachel Canning sought immediate relief in the form of $650 (£390) in weekly child support from her parents, and the payment of the remainder of her tuition at Morris Catholic High School, as well as attorney's fees.

But Judge Peter Bogaard denied the 18-year-old’s request, warning that her attempt at suing her parents could create a “potentially slippery slope”.

“We have to ask ourselves, do we want to establish a precedent where parents live in constant fear of enforcing the basic rules of the house,” he said. “If they set a rule a child doesn’t like, the child can move out, move in with another family, seek child support, cars, cell phone and a few hundred grand to go to college.

"Are we going to open the gates for 12-year-olds to sue for an Xbox? For 13-year-olds to sue for an iPhone?" he asked.

Emancipation! Freedom! Would you like an apple pie with that?

Justice for Shaima Alawadi?

Some quick googling shows that there is nothing on Google News about the trial of Kassim Alhimidi for the murder of his wife Shaima. As you might recall Shaima was murdered, a note found by her body indicating it was a case of Islamophobia. Police later determined the note was a sham and later arrested Mr. Alhimidi in what appears to be a case of domestic violence.

Even Huffpo stopped writing about her Murder in 2012.

But that hasn't stopped the usual Kuffar-o-Phobes from continuing to publish the myth that the murder of Shaima was case of Islamophibia even as her husband stands trial for her murder.

on March 21st, Shaima Alawadi was beat to death inside her home and left next to a note that read, “This is my country. Go back to yours, terrorist.” She was a 32-year-old mother of five who had left her country, Iraq, with her family following the Shiite uprisings, in hopes of finding peace in El Cajon, CA. These two now-lifeless Americans represent the true victims of America’s inherent racism and prejudice.

This was posted by a willfully ignorant NY Muslim activist Samia Shameem on Jan 31st 2014.

Apparently its not important who really murdered Shaima, because RACISM!

Makes me sick to my stomach to think that one Muslim woman would write off the murder of another in the interest of the cause

Some Released Gitmo Prisoners Really CIA Assets

If this was common knowledge, I was certainly out of the loop. The AP reports that multiple sources confirm to them that a facility at Guantanamo Bay nicknamed "Penny Lane" housed inmates who had been flipped and who agreed to help the CIA locate wanted members of al Qaeda's leadership.

You'll have to read the whole story, but here's a couple of nuggets:

In the early years after 9/11, the CIA turned some Guantanamo Bay prisoners into double agents then sent them home to help the U.S. kill terrorists, current and former U.S. officials said....

Some of the men who passed through Penny Lane helped the CIA find and kill many top al-Qaida operatives, current and former U.S. officials said. Others stopped providing useful information and the CIA lost touch with them....

President Barack Obama took an interest the program for a different reason. Shortly after taking office in 2009, he ordered a review of the former detainees working as double agents because they were providing information used in Predator drone strikes, one of the officials said.

The eight cell facility was closed in 2006, so it's history now. I'm assuming that all the assets have dried up and that's why the people are talking now, but it's not safe to assume: some people are asshats, and others are called reporters --- but I repeat myself.

But the cat is out of the bag and the one good thing that might come out of this revelation is maybe al Qaeda will be even more suspicious of ex-Gitmo terrorists who rejoined the ranks. Hey, al Qaeda, their all spies!

Oh, this part stuck out too. One of the inducements to being moved out of the normal cell blocks into the more cushy cells at "Penny Lane"? Porn:

Candidates were ushered from the confines of prison to Penny Lane's relative hominess, officials said. The cottages had private kitchens, showers and televisions. Each had a small patio.

Some prisoners asked for and received pornography. One official said the biggest luxury in each cottage was the bed — not a military-issued cot but a real bed with a mattress.

Porn: is there anything it can't do?

Ramzi Binalshibh had a meltdown because he believed the U.S. military withheld olives and honey from his meal....

“There are big problems with the food that was provided,” Binalshibh angrily told the judge, Army Col. James Pohl, through a translator.

It is a form of psychological torture,” he growled.

IRS Reinstated CAIR's Tax Exempt Status Despite Delinquent Filings After White House Visit

Counter Jihad Report:

In a strange twist of fate, it appears that the IRS targeted Iraq War veteran David Gaubatz who was involved in exposing the HAMAS front group Council on American Islamic Relations(CAIR). Based upon Gaubatz’s book Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret World that’s Conspiring to Islamize America, Rep. Sue Myrick, R-N.C., and other congressional leaders asked the IRS to investigate CAIR. Gaubatz’s book called attention to CAIR’s missing IRS filings and foreign donations.

World Net Daily reports, “At the same time the Internal Revenue Service delayed or denied requests for tax-exempt status from hundreds of conservative non-profit groups, it was quietly restoring the tax-exempt status of an Islamist front group accused of collaborating with terrorists. Last year, the politicized agency reinstated the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations’ tax-exempt status despite years of delinquent tax filings. CAIR officials had met with officials inside the White House before the decision was made.”

To add insult to injury.
In an email to WDW Gaubatz states, “Once my book (Muslim Mafia) came out in 2009, I got a letter from the IRS for an audit. They wanted a copy of my book, info about the Center for Security Policy, World Net Daily, etc… and then slammed me with a $146,000 tax bill. I had always completed my taxes on time and paid what I owed. I had two accountants go through my tax info, and in actuality the IRS owed me, but I am too small to fight the govt. Now they take it out of my disability pension (from war in Iraq).”

"Hurricane Isaac Is God's Punishment for GOP"

I kept telling myself over the weekend that I needed to cruise over to the Democratic Underground to see which lunatic was going to be first to make the claim that Hurricane Isaac is God's punishment for the Republican party's stance on Medicare. I didn't get around to it.

Besides, wouldn't a post from one of the radical Islamist websites making the same claim, but this time linking it to Allah's wrath on the puppets of the Zionist entity? But I didn't do that either.

I knew someone would make the claim that the hurricane was God's punishment for the GOP, I just think that it would have come from World Net Daily. I guess my decision never to read WND again was the right one as this is what passes for an editorial at the home of Birthers and other fringe crazies these days:

Could Hurricane Isaac’s disrupting of the Republican convention here be tied to recent policy decisions by the GOP leadership and Barack Obama?

That question is being raised by Bible prophecy expert William Koenig, whose book, “Eye to Eye: Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel,” links catastrophic hurricanes hitting the U.S. with changes in policy toward Israel....

“This is the second straight Republican convention postponed due to a major hurricane,” points out Koenig. “And this is the third straight Republican convention that became secondary news due to a hurricane. Bush was pressuring Israel during the times of the 2004 and 2008 conventions.”

Apparently the only other entity in the universe who cares about the Republican Party platform outside a few dozen party activists and MSNBC hosts is the Lord of Hosts, YWHY!

Dailykos Calls SWATting Nice Little Knock on the Door

If people are upset about SWATting, screw them. Right?

Lets just say Robert Stacey McCain is on the run these days. Erick Erickson of CNN fame got a nice little knock on the door. Seth Allen get the message as well. This is what Activists do, shutting down hate speech one individual at a time. If Brett Kimberlin can make a difference by himself, we all can.
Oh yes we can!

The post is generally favorable of NetRoots style Guerilla marketing and repeats glibly the crimes and investigations of the Speedway Bomber. Calling the police Fascists.

Like Activists such as Brandon "Skabby" Baxter and Bill Ayers, Brett Kimberlin began his Activist career with explosives. Being a true master of Alinsky's wise advice of "using your enemies rules against them", Kimberlin actually bought explosives while impersonating a DOD official (wow). In 1978, he was accused by the fascist corporate police of murdering a co-worker.

By 1992, he had filed over 100 motions and lawsuits against his hate-spewing opponents, including some people he bombed.

I'm not sure which murder he's talking about. The Burger Chef murders, the murder of a relative with the same surname, or the murder of a young girl's Grandmother to which there was one witness who died before a trial could proceed against, you know. Yes a lot of people who knew the Speedway bomber or were connected to him are dead. But isn't it just effing wonderful how he took it to those fascists.

Just like Obama's buddy Bill Ayers. A real Role model.

The particular diarist in question is newish on Kos, either sock puppet of a Speedway bomber fan or maybe just a sock puppet. But still you'd think they might ban someone for glorifying domestic terrorism, being the flagship website of the liberal Netroots and all that.

Greek Voters: Down with the Tyranny of Math!

In Greece, where dire austerity measures are in place, angry voters punished the two main parties that have dominated politics for decades. No party won enough votes in Sunday's parliamentary elections to form a new government. Negotiations will be held to form a coalition government.
Proving once again that when asked to make the hard choices, people aren't willing to make the hard choices.

Very well, math doesn't care if you make the hard choice or not. It will eventually make the choice for you.

Senate Study on The Online Radicalization of Zachary Chesser of Revolution Muslim

Government Security News:

The Internet and social media are integral ingredients in the rapid radicalization of homegrown terrorists, said a staff study by the Senate homeland security committee that recommended a coordinated government response to counter online radical propaganda and help communities intervene in the radicalization process.

The report, released on Feb. 27 by the staff of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, was based on the close study of the personal writings of Zachary Chesser, the Bristow, VA man now serving a 25-year sentence for threatening the writers of the South Park television show, soliciting violent jihadists to desensitize law enforcement, and attempting to provide material support to Al-Shabaab.

The study also provides some unique detail into Chesser’s motivations and personality.

The Senate staff said Chesser’s case was a classic case study of how quickly online radicalization can occur compared to the traditional process of face to face contact between an aspirant and an established terrorist group.

The .pdf copy of the study is here.

Jawa report was not mentioned in the study, we were basically robbed. But we're getting really used to that ;)

Good News: Co-Conspirator in Sadat's Murder Now Egyptian MP
Wants His Akhi Ayman al-Zawahiri to Return to Egypt

Long War Journal:

A member of the newly elected Egyptian parliament has called for al Qaeda's emir to return to the country "with his head held high and safely."

Aboud al Zomor, who served as the first emir of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad and was later imprisoned for his role in President Anwar Sadat's assassination, said that he welcomes Ayman al Zawahiri's return to Egypt and that he would be given safe haven, according to a report published yesterday in Al-Sharq Al-Awsat. The report was translated from Arabic by the Foundation For Defense of Democracies.

"When asked if he saw any danger in al Zawahiri's return, al Zomor said that 'he was not a threat to Egypt, the likes of al Zawahiri differed with the previous regime and they were only a danger for this regime and not for Egypt, and now he is liberating Afghanistan and Iraq...'" the report stated. Zomor also lamented that the US would be opposed to Zawahiri's return to Egypt.

Zomor denied having direct contact with members of al Qaeda, and claims to have renounced violence.

"I've distanced myself from that currently because I took the political line and closed the page on the past, as a result of which doors to peaceful action opened for us," he told Al-Sharq Al-Awsat.

Zomor is one of the primary founders of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad, the terrorist group that merged with al Qaeda. Zawahiri succeeded Zomor as the group's emir and presided over its merger with bin Laden's terror group in the 1990s.

Muslim Yelling "You're All Going to Die, Allahu Akbar" on Airplane Not as Funny as Once Thought

I'm not going for the "dry run" hypothesis that so many jump to in cases like this. What one needs to consider is that crazy is not culturally determined. Which means there are a lot of Muslims who, like every other group, are crazy.

But what Muslims should understand is that the rest of us are neither bigoted nor crazy ourselves for fearing a guy yelling Allahu Akbar on a plane more than a crazy guy yelling Jesus saves on that same plane:

“You’re all going to die,” a man dressed in black screamed at passengers Tuesday afternoon. “You’re all going to hell. Allahu Akbar,” translated as God is great in Arabic.

Federal authorities arrested Ali Reza Shahsavari, 29, of Indialantic, Fla., onboard the Boeing 737 after pilots made an emergency landing at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport at 3:30 p.m. He is being held in the Randall County jail on a federal charge of interfering with a flight crew.

Of Course Islam is More Violent and Radical than Christianity or Judaism

This hit piece by Spencer Ackerman over at Wired is just another indication of one of the problems of the intellectually lazy: despite all evidence that apples are not oranges, they are unable to make meaningful distinctions because such distinctions are offensive to conventional wisdom.

As you know, I do not think Islam is inherently violent. I do not think we are at war with Islam.

But, one of the sure signs of laziness is generalized equivocation.

Such equivocation is apparent in Ackerman's piece.

Christianity is a religion. Islam is a religion. They are the same. Therefore, any suggestion that one has more violent adherents than another must be motivated by bigotry.

Which is not just lazy, it's a lie. We have reams and reams of data that show that Muslims are far more likely to support terrorism than Christians.

Now, I wonder why that is? Um, maybe it's because mainstream Islam is much more tolerant of violence than is mainstream Christianity?

The problem with people like Ackerman is that they define 'mainstream' in a convenient way: the mainstream is simply what I like.

While this might be good for propaganda purposes, it is not an intellectually honest definition.

A lot of Muslims reject traditional notions of violence and oppression that have been part of mainstream Sunni and Shia Islam for as far back as historical records have been kept.

A majority of Muslims in the US reject these traditions. They are innovators. Many of them left their countries of origin because of they hated these very traditions. I'd love to see more Muslims like them.

But in my view, outsiders must treat religions as if there is no right or wrong way to believe. A religion is what its believers say it is. Anything more than this is theological inside baseball.

So, when outsiders claim that one version of a religions is the correct one and that another version is a perversion, we are imposing our own values on something that is not our own. Let Muslims duke this out. It's their fight, not ours.

It's like Buddhists picking Lutheranism as "true" Christianity and rejecting Catholicism as "deviance from the mainstream".

At best we can only say that this is what the majority believes or this is what has traditionally been taught or this is what has been accepted as orthodoxy.

To say that Islam as it has been practiced for over a thousand years isn't mainstream is a statement in the absurd.

Now, I expect politicians to say such absurdities. We pay politicians to lie. And, in this case, it's a useful lie. The more Muslims that are convinced that Islam has always been peaceful and supported basic human rights the better every one will be.

Is speculation on the possibility of reforming Islam of value to FBI agents in counter-terror training? Um, no.

But adherence to many versions of traditional Islam is a predictor of Islamism and support for terrorism. There's just no way around that fact. It's not a convenient fact and it doesn't mean that Islam causes terrorism.

As I've said many times before: there is no one thing called Islam, there are only Islams. Just as there is no one Christianity, there are Christianities.

But if you want to stop Islamist terrorism I suggest not looking into Anabaptist fundamentalism.

Perhaps a paper such as was presented at Quantico wasn't appropriate to helping train our CT agents, but neither is it an outrage.

Somewhere between those who equivocate all religions as equal, therefore denying that certain traditional Islamic beliefs are at the root of Islamist terror, and those that claim that only the terrorists and Islamists represent "true" Islam lies the truth.

Both sides are in denial about the complicated and ever changing nature of religious beliefs. Until they can reconcile their oversimplified preconceived notions with reality then we are stuck in a place where there can be no real conversations about policy choices, only accusations and name calling.

The Neo-Commie Plan to Wreck the Train

Did I mention there is a Neo-Commie in the White House?

Protein Wisdom:

What we’re witnessing is an organized attempt at initiating a soft coup in the United States by way of a socialist cabal. Michael Medved might not like to hear this; Bill O’Reilly and Bernie Goldberg likely won’t, either — concerned, as they both are, about the “rightwing” “bash Obama” industry (which isn’t helping “the folks”); Jeb Bush surely doesn’t, if such a revelation means that his standing on stage with Obama in the swing state of FL to burnish his “pragmatic centrist” bona fides then looks like either betrayal of conservative principles, or a real lack of discernment and judgment; and of course, the establishment GOP, who has built its entire political strategy on the idea that Washington is and always will be business as usual (and it is — for them) probably want to skip this as well.

But those of us who met the election of Barack Obama with cries of opposition knew what was coming — all one had to do was bother to look — and we reluctantly pushed the GOP back to power in November to fight the attempt by the left to finish its takeover of our country.

Burning VFW Membership Cards & Vets as Welfare Mothers

Blackfive and Mr. Wolf are asking VFW members to protest the leaderships political support of non-vets and liberal politicians.

When liberal politicians say they "support" vets, I believe them. Not because they are especially pro-military or pro-veteran, but because they see the VA as an extension of the welfare state.

They "support" vets like they support unwed teenage mothers. The two groups are pretty much the same in their eyes. One victimized by male patriarchy and an unjust society; and the other victimized by the military-industrial complex.

Phelps Phreaks Drowned Out Again

By an army of Patriot Guard riders.

PLATTSMOUTH - Hundreds of Patriot Guard riders from across the region appeared in Plattsmouth Tuesday morning for the funeral of Sgt. Blaine Redding.

Motorcycles and American flags lined the driveway of St. John the Baptist Church as the funeral procession for the Plattsmouth native passed down 18th Street and onto church property. Evil in NJ: 7 Year Old Sold for Gang Rape

I hope there is a hell for people like this. NYPost:

Twenty-seven people were arrested Thursday on outstanding warrants at a New Jersey apartment complex where officials say a 7-year-old girl was gang raped....

Police say the child's 15-year-old stepsister sold her to have sex with as many as seven men and boys at a party Sunday in a vacant apartment. The stepsister was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault, promoting prostitution and other crimes.

Thanks to Kenny.

Holder: Yeah Obama Appointed a Bunch of Terrorists' Lawyers So What?

Dude, this is unfreakingbelievable.

No, actually, it's quite believable. This is the Obama Administration. Which ran on a platform of: let's shut down Guantanamo within year and give all of these guys lawyers, rights, and civilian trials.

How's that working out for ya Sparky?

It's not just that these are lawyers who worked to free terrorists -- even terrorists need lawyers -- but that some of them filed amicus curiae briefs on behalf of Guantanamo detainees. That means that they weren't the lawyers for the terrorists, but were so outraged (outgrage!) by what Bush-Hitler was doing that they felt compelled (compelled!) to try and intervene in the cases even though they had no direct relationship with them.

I can't believe you morons voted for this guy. He's giving you exactly what he promised.

David Frum Begs CJ to Return, But...

...Frum is a RAAAACIST!!!

David tries to woo Charles (Johnson, of Little Green Footballs, who has gone over to the dark side) back with a bit of poetry:

If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ‘em up with worn-out tools;
Unfortunately for Frum, certainly Johnson, exquisitely, nay, excrutiatingly sensitive to racism, bigotry, jingoism and imperialism will recognize the work of *gasp* RUDYARD KIPLING*!

The same Rudyard Kipling who wrote this:

Take up the White Man's burden--
Send forth the best ye breed--
Go, bind your sons to exile
To serve your captives' need;
To wait, in heavy harness,
On fluttered folk and wild--
Your new-caught sullen peoples,
Half devil and half child.
Oh, the humanity.

* All kidding aside, there are hordes of imbeciles who refuse to take Kipling as a talented product of his time and place and insist upon injecting twenty-first century values into critiques of his work.

Daily Kos Now in Charge of Military? Navy SEAL's Get Court Martial Instead of Medal for Capturing Most Wanted Terrorist

The guys who captured the mastermind behind this:

Are about to be court martialed for maybe giving that guy a fat lip.

This would be the same incident in which Americans were murdered in Fallujah over which Markos "Kos" Moulitsas said, "Screw them."

Now Kos' candidate is in the White House and the military is more interested in punishing heroes who may have barely stepped over some imaginary ethical line than in rewarding them for a job well done.

Imagine: Hey guys, thanks for putting your life on the line and in a job well done capturing Osama bin Laden, but now I'm going to bust you down to private because one of you might have kicked him once while he was down and the rest of you covered it up.

Screw them, indeed.

I think I'm going to be sick.

Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges, sources told

Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named "Objective Amber," told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it.

Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.

Matthew McCabe, a Special Operations Petty Officer Second Class (SO-2), is facing three charges: dereliction of performance of duty for willfully failing to safeguard a detainee, making a false official statement, and assault.

Petty Officer Jonathan Keefe, SO-2, is facing charges of dereliction of performance of duty and making a false official statement.

Petty Officer Julio Huertas, SO-1, faces those same charges and an additional charge of impediment of an investigation.

The anger is at face melting levels.....

Apparently military lawyers are just as idiotic as their civilian counterparts. My confidence level in the lawyerly profession has just about reached the limits of tolerance for the absurd.

UPDATE: 100% agree with Don Surber who titles his post "They should have just shot him.":

The message is getting clearer to the American military on how to handle people like KSM: Better dead than alive. Less paperwork.

You know, the last two thrillers I've read -- the latest from Vince Flynn and Brad Thor -- have been variations on the theme of counterintel types being fed up with all the BS that comes with working for the government. And you know I've just assumed that this was pretty much the world of fantasy. That in the real world when push came to shove that we would defend those that put their lives on the line. Maybe I was wrong?

There is always a lot of BS that comes along with working for government. That's the nature of the beast. But at some level won't it be tempting for people like these Navy SEAL's just to up and quit?

When the Atlas that is shrugging is involved in front line of counterterror operations then our nation's security is at risk.

And for what? So that a couple of pencil necked lawyers can say that the letter of the law was followed.

Thank a lawyer for the next time we are attacked.

Another update: Jack Murtha emails DrewM to say:

This guys are cold blooded smackers and I won't rest until they are given the death penalty. Coincidentally, the executions will take place in my district after we build a prison and death chamber with a 7 billion dollar earmark I am inserting in next year's budget.

And just a reminder: one of the men who was murdered was a former SEAL.

Indoctrination: It's Just Not What It's Cracked Up To Be

Color me shocked. What's next, the Two Minutes Hate?

"Now, I know longer school days and school years are not wildly popular ideas," the president said earlier this year. "Not with Malia and Sasha, not in my family, and probably not in yours. But the challenges of a new century demand more time in the classroom."

Funny, before the left took over education in this country, the country was educated just fine. Compare the tests you took in 8th grade to this one from 1895.

President Zero isn't interested in helping our kids get more intelligent, he just wants to do something along these lines:

Just a Hunka Hunka Burnin' Love

From my personal list of the top ten things I'd rather not hear about:

Woman Sets Fire to Man's Genitals:

A Greek woman set fire to a British man's genitals at a club after he allegedly made sexual advances on her.
That's bad enough, but here's the worst paragraph of all:
The man is currently at in a Heraklion, Crete, clinic being treated for second-degree burns to his testicles and penis.
