Shocking News! Hamas Breaks Cease Fire Again

Its like totally almost unbelievable.

hours before the cease fire with Israel was to end on Tuesday, Hamas fired three rockets toward Israel which landed in open fields near the southern city of Beersheba. No injuries or damage have been reported in the attacks.
Diplomatic sources said that in light of the rockets fired on the South and the violation of the cease-fire, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon instructed the IDF to resume its attacks on terror targets inside the Gaza Strip.
You know if I were embedded with Israeli forces in Gaza, its a sure bet that I would, at the very least, twist my ankle every singe day.

Terror Tunnels Of Gaza

Many of us know about the terror tunnels from Gaza to Israel, but I think understanding the scale eludes us. Sean Hannity visited Israel to see the tunnels first hand.

What amazed me is how deep these tunnels are underground. This picture shows how far down Palestinians dig to build these tunnels:

hamas_tunnel_exterior.jpg

So clearly, destroying the tunnels is not simply a matter of dropping a missile to collapse them. It would take massive excavations just to expose the tunnels.

And as poverty-stricken as Gazans claim to be, they have managed, not only to go through extraordinary measures to dig these tunnels, but also use incredible amounts of concrete - building material pro-Palestinian activists says is scarce because of the blockade imposed by Israel:

Reporter Accidentally Tells The Truth Then Complains It Is Being Used For Pro-Israel 'Propaganda'

She is only happy when Hamas uses her reporting for propaganda:

A translation of the Finnish report obtained by the blog Legal Insurrection read, "Also, a rocket attack was conducted from the 'backyard' of the hospital at 2 o'clock in the morning. It (the rocket launch), in fact, happened somewhere close by because the noise right here at the hospital area was really loud. Indeed, these rockets launched here from the Gazan side (of the border) are headed into Israel."

Following the posting of her report on pro-Israel blogs, Zidan took to Facebook this weekend, writing, "Don't use me as your propaganda weapon."

Noting the main purpose of her report was to cover the "Palestinian civilians who were victims of war," Zidan wrote, "During the night someone launched a rocket somewhere behind the hospital. Now this sentence from my article is spreading in the pro-Israeli medias. I mentioned this in my article because I'm a professional journalist. I try to cover the events truthfully as I see them and I strongly condemn these kind of actions." [...]

Shifa Hospital where the rocket was launched is also where a Hamas rocket aimed at Israel fell short last week, slamming into the outpatient clinic, the Israel Defense Forces said, backing up its claim with aerial images showing the launch and impact points of the rocket. Hamas officials did not allow the media to take photographs of the impact area.

'New Holocaust' Brings Out Protesters Around The World

In other words, SNAFU.

After reading this, I feel like I was actually there!

From Berkeley to Boston and from Paris to Sydney, the season is upon us again. Hipsters twirl Keffiyahs from some Shanghai factory around their necks, don army surplus jackets and Decembrist t-shirts and head to the nearest Israeli embassy to scream about a new Holocaust.

Shiites and Sunnis temporarily put aside their blood feuds and entire families of Syrian Alawites and Turkish Sunnis stand in London or Berlin screaming "Death to the Jews".

Joining them are elderly Trotskyists and aging Stalinists, normally as mutually hostile as Shiites and Sunnis, who put aside their differences to feebly wave cardboard signs about the Zionist war machine.

Fake blood is everywhere. Aspiring art students who can’t draw try to figure out new ways of intersecting a Swastika and a Star of David. Latuff cartoons are printed out along with bloody photos of dead people from Syria, Hollywood horror movies and on the rare occasion, Gaza, and shoved in everyone’s faces.

Hilarity ensues. Read it all.

Israel Under Attack from Gaza Again

Israel suffered the largest rocket attack in years today. Thank God, no one was killed:

Israeli communities near southern and northern Gaza have come under heavy rocket attack on Wednesday evening. The IDF said at least 30 rockets had been fired in the largest attack since 2012's Operation Pillar of Defense.

The IDF said eight rockets hit urban, civilian areas. One rocket landed in Sderot, according to police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld, although there were no immediate reports of casualties...

The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for Wednesday's attack, saying that over 90 rockets had been fired toward Israel, a spokesman for Al-Quds told Palestinian news agency Ma'an.

Remember, these rockets are coming out of the unoccupied territories -- Gaza, the place that Israel left years ago.

Hithem Ziad Ibrahim Masshal Eliminated: IDF Splodes Senior MSC Member

eliminated_idf.jpg

Sweet

[A]n IAF aircraft on Gaza Tuesday morning assassinated a senior Salafist terror activist who was reportedly behind an April 17 rocket attack on Eilat from the Sinai.

The IDF and Shin Bet security service confirmed that they had targeted Hithem Ziad Ibrahim Masshal, 24, from the Shati refugee camp.

The attack marked the first “targeted strike” on a Gaza terror figure by Israel since November’s Operation Pillar of Defense, and came amid a renewal of sporadic rocket fire into Israel that seemed to show the deterrent effect of November’s operation was eroding.

David Barnett of the Long War Journal has more:
According to the IDF, Masshal, who "manufactured, improved and traded different types of ammunition," was involved in the April 17 rocket attack on Eilat from the Sinai, for which the Mujahideen Shura Council in the Environs of Jerusalem (MSC) had taken responsibility[...]

Following the Eilat attack, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had warned that Israel would "exact a price for this [the attack]; this has been our consistent policy for the past four years and it will serve us here as well." Egypt was reportedly briefed ahead of today's strike.

This afternoon, the MSC released a statement through the Ibn Taymiyyah Media Center confirming that Masshal was a member of their organization. During the funeral, Masshal was wrapped in al Qaeda's black flag, which was first used by al Qaeda in Iraq but has been adopted by other al Qaeda affiliates.

Pali Loving Brit Lefties Meet ArabSpring! w/ Less Than Hilarious Results

So, a bunch of Israel hating British lefties decides to break the "blockade" of Gaza by joining an aid caravan going through Libya. As they reach Benghazi, well, I'll let the report speak for itself:

Three women who were part of an aid convoy passing through Libya on the way to Gaza have been sexually assaulted in Benghazi, after a group of five British nationals were briefly kidnapped.

The three women, two of whom are sisters, were part of a large aid convoy travelling to the Gaza Strip. It is thought that they were part of a group of five people who were briefly kidnapped near Benghazi in the early hours of Tuesday and they were released some hours later. The group is currently safe in the Turkish consul in Benghazi and is expected to return to the UK.

I was tempted to write something about how their illusions have now been shattered about the prospects for Arab democracy, but you know what? I've known a lot of these types and no matter how barbaric the "oppressed" are they are simply unable to see past their left wing narrative. In their minds, these acts of barbarism are the results of colonialism, capitalism, and Zionism.

In other words, they blame America and Israel for the fact that they were kidnapped and sexually assaulted in Libya.

Thanks to golem bar.

Flotilla 3.0: 'Gaza's Ark'?

"Trade not Aid" is a 'new' attempt of activists to break the so-called Israeli blockade from the inside out.

Flotilla 3.0: International 'activists' work with Hamas affiliates to sail OUT of Gaza

[A] new propaganda initiative designed to test the resolve of the Israeli blockade on Hamas in Gaza is seeking to highlight how trade from Gaza has been affected by Israel.

The focus of the 'Gaza Ark' is the fact that while goods do indeed enter the Hamas-run, Palestinian enclave, goods are said to rarely ever leave. The premise of the trip is that Gaza wants to trade with the world, rather than receive aid. Critics have called the trip "intentionally misleading", pointing to the fact that on a weekly basis, dozens of trucks export products from Gaza.

These facts haven't stopped the 'Gaza Ark' committee, however, a group which is supported by the hard-Left Noam Chomsky and disgraced Baroness Jenny Tonge. The organization's "Who We Are" section also lists the public relations head of the Hamas-run Gaza Chamber of Commerce, Maher Al-Tabaa, and 'one-state solution' advocates such as Haidar Eid, who also works at the Al-Aqsa University, an institution that Hamas boasted about 'taking over' in 2009[...]

In 2011, evidence was uncovered linking Hamas to the flotilla campaigns.

Israel: Rocket Hits Outskirts Of Ashkelon

A security source said that an initial examination of the rocket's remnants showed that it was an 8" projectile with an improved mid-to-long range.

The al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, Fatah's military wing, claimed responsibility for the fire.

In a statement carried by the Palestinian news agency Maan, the Gaza-based terror group said that the fire was its response to the death of Palestinian security prisoner Arafat Jaradat in Megiddo Prison on Saturday.

Tehmeena Afzal hates Talibanization

Go forth Free Free Palestine groups and 'migrate' to the Gaza strip. Leave your countries and move, permanently, our eyes will thank you.

Those who thought that Hamas would ever establish a modern and liberal regime in the Gaza Strip received another reminder this week of how the radical Islamist movement is pursuing its effort to create a Taliban-style entity in the territory that has been under its control since 2007.

The reminder came in the form of a decision taken by the Al-Aqsa University administration in the Gaza Strip to force female students to dress in accordance with Islamic teachings.

This means that all female students would be required to wear the hijab or niqab which cover their heads and faces.

This latest measure is part of a Hamas campaign aimed at "inculcating [Islamic] values and virtues" in the Gaza Strip, Hamas officials explained.

As part of this campaign, Hamas last week imposed a ban on low-waist trousers, Western-style haircuts and tight gowns.[...]

Meanwhile, foreign activists who continue to arrive in the Gaza Strip to voice solidarity with Hamas need to know that they are complicit in the effort to establish a repressive and brutal entity that has no respect for freedoms and despises Western culture and values.[More...]

Mad Mullah's Heart & Support Palestinian Terror Organizations

Hemorrhoid itches.... people looking.... must not scratch... must not scratch...

Via the Evil Juice Intel Center

1. The military capabilities of Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) were revealed in Operation Pillar of Defense. Those capabilities were the product of massive Iranian support constructed around an arsenal of many thousands of rockets, both standard and manufactured by the terrorist organizations themselves (using Iranian technical knowhow). They included medium-range Fajr-5 rockets (made in Iran) and M75s (manufactured in the Gaza Strip). The massive rocket fire targeting Israeli civilian population centers, including a number of rockets fired at Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, was made possible by Iran's support for the terrorist organizations.[1]

2. Aid from Iran to Hamas and the PIJ in the years before operative arrived in the Gaza Strip overland, by air and by sea, facilitated by border-crossing networks of smugglers and merchants. The main route for smuggling arms was from Iran to Sudan and from Sudan to Egypt and into the Gaza Strip through the smuggling tunnels controlled by Hamas. The sea route was also used, as revealed on March 15, 2011 when the freighter Victoria was seized by the IDF. The ship was carrying arms bound for the Gaza Strip by way of Egypt, whose arrival would upgrade military capabilities of the terrorist organizations. Among the weapons on board the Victoria were C704 anti-ship missiles, which could be used to attack not only military and civilian vessels but also strategic targets in the southern Israeli cities of Ashdod and Ashqelon.

3. Until Operation Pillar of Defense, Iran and the terrorist organizations supported by it were careful, for security and political considerations,to keep secret Iran's military aid and the network smuggling weapons into the Gaza Strip.

Residents of the Gaza Strip on Wednesday plastered large billboards in key locations thanking Iran for its help during a recent eight-day battle against Israel.

The posters reflected the strong ties between Iran and the Hamas and Islamic Jihad militant groups in Gaza. Israel considers Iran to be its most dangerous enemy, citing Iran's support for the militants and its suspect nuclear program.

During the fighting, Gaza militants terrorists groups[FIFY ABC..ed] fired hundreds of rockets into Israel, including Iranian-made "Fajr" missiles reaching as far as Tel Aviv and the outskirts of Jerusalem.

Falling For Hamas's Media Manipulation

hamas_media.jpg

Israel's Ambassador to the US, Michael Oren, has a excellent Op-ed at the WaPo. Ironically, WaPo falls for Hamas propaganda to the point they used a image from Hamas's propaganda machine to accompany Oren's post.

What makes better headlines? Is it numbing figures such as the 8,000 Palestinian rockets fired at Israel since it unilaterally withdrew from Gaza in 2005, and the 42.5 percent of Israeli children living near the Gaza border who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder? Or is it high-resolution images of bombed-out buildings in Gaza and emotional stories of bereaved Palestinians? The last, obviously, as demonstrated by much of the media coverage of Israel’s recent operation against Hamas. But that answer raises a more fundamental question: Which stories best serve the terrorists’ interest?

Hamas has a military strategy to paralyze southern Israel with short- and middle-range rockets while launching Iranian-made missiles at Tel Aviv. With our precision air force, top-notch intelligence and committed citizens army, we can defend ourselves against these dangers. We have invested billions of dollars in bomb shelters and early-warning systems and, together with generous U.S. aid, have developed history’s most advanced, multi-layered anti-missile batteries. For all of its bluster, Hamas does not threaten Israel’s existence.

But Hamas also has a media strategy. Its purpose is to portray Israel’s unparalleled efforts to minimize civilian casualties in Gaza as indiscriminate firing at women and children, to pervert Israel’s rightful acts of self-defense into war crimes. Its goals are to isolate Israel internationally, to tie its hands from striking back at those trying to kill our citizens and to legitimize the Jewish State. Hamas knows that it cannot destroy us militarily but believes that it might do so through the media.

Continued below the fold:

One reason is the enlarged images of destruction and civilian casualties in Gaza that dominated the front pages of U.S. publications. During this operation, The Post published multiple front-page photographs of Palestinian suffering. The New York Times even juxtaposed a photograph of the funeral of Hamas commander Ahmed Jabari, who was responsible for the slaughter of dozens of innocent Israelis, with that of a pregnant Israeli mother murdered by Hamas. Other photos, supplied by the terrorists and picked up by the press, identified children killed by Syrian forces or even by Hamas itself as victims of Israeli strikes.

In reporting Palestinian deaths, media routinely failed to note that roughly half were terrorists and that such a ratio is exceedingly low by modern military standards — much lower, for example, than the NATO campaign in the Balkans. Media also emphasize the disparity between the number of Palestinian and Israeli deaths, as though Israel should be penalized for investing billions of dollars in civil-defense and early-warning systems and Hamas exonerated for investing in bombs rather than bomb shelters.

200 More Rockets Fired at Israel, Three Israelis Dead

Jpost:

Gaza terrorists continued to fire rockets into southern Israel on Thursday morning killing three people and injuring two others in Kiryat Malachi. More than 200 rockets have been fired from Gaza into the South in the 24 hours after the IDF launched a campaign Wednesday to root out the terror infrastructure in the coastal territory, beginning with the targeted killing of Ahmed Jabari, the chief of Hamas's military wing.

MDA paramedics treated five wounded people at the site of the Kiryat Malachi attack, in which a rocket hit a four-story building. Three people were pronounced dead on the scene and two others were suffering moderate injuries, including a baby.

Hat Tip: Gerald.

Update:

Hamas firing at Israel...

Terrorists from the Al-Quds Brigades, a radical Jihadist group operating from the Gaza Strip, are firing rockets at Israel from within urban living areas in Gaza. The video, uploaded only yesterday to the official Al-Quds channel, asserts the repeated and unapologetic use of the "human shield" tactics by terror organizations operating from Gaza.

Israeli strikes on Gaza...

There are reports that Egypt is massing forces in the Northern Sinai, and that Israel is responding by adding to its border defense. Its unclear if Egypts efforts are to suppress terrorist activity in Sinai. US news reports that President Obama is in contact with both Egypt and Israel in an effort to broker a peace deal.

NPR described the violence as "Aggression" which gives you an indication of how they intend to portray the conflict which came about after days and days of Hamas rocket fire into Israel since the US election.

Update by SH: Rockets hit near Tel Aviv: Air raid sirens in Tel Aviv for first time since 1991 Gulf War @IDFSpokesperson: "A few minutes ago, sirens in Tel Aviv sent residents running for shelter. We can confirm that no rockets struck in the area"

IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Yoav Mordechai says that no rockets landed on the ground in the greater Tel Aviv area. He added that “tonight is not expected to be quiet.”

IDF Announces "Operation On Pillar of Defense'..[Bumped..]

Long-Range Rocket Launch Site in Zeitoun Neighborhood
Long-range rocket launch site in Zeitoun neighborhood, meters away from mosque & playground

Bumped & updated a bit:

Pres Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood are siding with Hamas and other terrorists in Gaza. Hamas says sploding of their top terrorist a act of war and they will release the "gates of hell" while hiding behind children[see 'twitter war' below]. Arab foreign ministers called the UN to protest how bad the evil Juice are. On Twitter, Pallywood is in full bloom. This twit is really a pain in the ass.

For those who are curious: What Pillar of Defense actually means

I follow Hamas on Twitter and laughed when I saw this from IDFSpokesperson concerning offing their leader:

We recommend that no Hamas operatives, whether low level or senior leaders, show their faces above ground in the days ahead
They replied
@AlqassamBrigade @idfspokesperson Our blessed hands will reach your leaders and soldiers wherever they are (You Opened Hell Gates on Yourselves)
Ha!

Dear Hamas and the world: Israel has a right to protect itself, period. Our thoughts and prayers are with the the citizens of Israel.

Update by Howie: Mohammad Morsi recalls Egypts ambassador to Israel.

From watching my feeds it appears the situation is deteriorating rapidly, with reports of continued fire at Israel from near the Egyptian border in Gaza. Reported hits include an Israeli shopping mall. Israeli citizens are reported to be taking cover from the continued fire from Gaza and most everything is shut down in anticipation of continued rocket fire. There are also reports that rocket fire from Gaza is targeting Israel's nuclear facilities.

Also Israel continues operations against anti Israel forces in Gaza. IDF has said ground operations in Gaza are possible

Update II: Background on Hamas military chief Ahmed al-Jabari, who was sploded to pieces

The military chief of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Ahmed Jabari was in charge of overseeing the imprisonment of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit who was captured by Palestinian terrorists in 2006 outside of the Gaza Strip. When a prisoner exchange was arranged handing back Shalit to Israel in return for 1,027 Palestinian prisoners in October 2011, Jabari personally escorted Shalit to the Rafah Crossing with Egypt, making a rare public appearance. In an interview with al-Hayat newspaper, Jabari confirmed that most of the 477 prisoners released in the first part of the prisoner exchange were collectively responsible for the deaths of 569 Israeli civilians.[...]

In September 2010, Jabari threatened to increase attacks against Israel to derail the Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations.

It is widely believed that Jabari along with Deif played the leading role in Hamas’ takeover of the Gaza Strip from the Fatah-led Palestinian Authority in June 2007.[More...

Gazan 'Anti-Tank' Missile Hits IDF Jeep, Injures 4

Via JPost

Palestinian terrorists in Gaza fired an anti-tank missile at an IDF jeep carrying out an ordinary patrol on the Israeli side of the border, striking the vehicle directly and injuring four soldiers on Saturday evening.

One soldier is in serious condition with a head injury, one is moderately wounded, and two are lightly injured. They were airlifted to the Soroka University Medical Center in Be'ersheba.

Immediately afterwards, tanks opened fire on the area from which the missile was fired. Tanks also fired on pre-selected targets in the Sa'ajiya area of Gaza near Nahal Oz. Palestinian sources said four people were killed in the return fire, and 25 others were injured.[Pallywood...ed]

Islamic Jihad is believed to be behind the latest attack. The IDF views the incident as a severe escalation, and as part of a wider, stepped-up terrorist initiative to target its forces along the border.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz is due to hold an evaluation in the coming hours. "This is the second serious incident in a few days along the border," a senior army source said.[More...]

Prayers for quick recovery of the wounded soldiers.

UPDATE: Well this was quick, CNN helping out Pallywood:

Gaza City (CNN) -- Three Palestinians were killed and 22 injured when Israeli tank fire hit a building east of Gaza City where hundreds of mourners were gathered for a funeral, Palestinian medical sources said Saturday.

Ten of those injured are in a serious condition, the medical sources said, and the number of deaths is expected to rise.

Carry on Pallywood, be sure and don't drop a "dead/alive"[Jenin April 2002] guy for the cameras:

IAF strikes back again at 5 terror targets in Gaza

JPost

The IAF carried out a number of airstrikes late Sunday night against three weapons production sites in central Gaza, and two tunnels used by terrorists, one in northern Gaza and one in the South.

The airstrikes were the second wave of what appeared to be retaliation against various Gaza terror groups following the shooting of St.-Sgt. Netanel Moshiashvili on Friday morning in a clash with a Palestinian gunman who had infiltrated Israel from the Gaza Strip.

The IDF said the gunman crossed into Israel at 5 a.m. after cutting through the security fence using “sophisticated means.”

A nearby reconnaissance unit detected the shooter and a unit from the Golani Brigade’s 12th Battalion was immediately sent to the scene.

The incident came a week after a Palestinian sniper in the same central-Gaza area shot and wounded two soldiers.[More...]

UN Worker Behind Newest Pali Fauxtography

Consider this my last post before I die from overwhelming unsurprise: UN Media Official Responsible for False Photo Tweet of Israeli "Atrocity".

Apparently our UN dues go to Gaza so that a Hamas operative can be duly remunerated for her diligent work at producing second rate and easily falsifiable propaganda.

Israel Strikes Gaza Munitions

algemeiner.com

Israeli Air Force aircraft struck a weapons manufacturing site in Gaza, along with two tunnels used by terrorists in northern Gaza, and a third tunnel also used by terrorist groups, in Southern Gaza.

According to an IDF statement, direct hits were confirmed. The air force said the strike was in response to mortar attacks that originated from Gaza over the weekend, affirming it’s long standing policy that Hamas is responsible for attacks originating from the Gaza strip.

“The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli civilians, and will operate against anyone who uses terror against the State of Israel. The Hamas terror organization is solely responsible for any terrorist activity emanating from the Gaza Strip,” the IDF said in their statement.

Israel Eliminates Three al-Qaeda Linked Terrorists in Gaza

Ooooopsy:

The Israeli Defense Forces killed three al Qaeda-linked terrorists during two airstrikes in the Gaza strip over the past 24 hours.

Today, the IDF killed Rami Daoud Jabar Khafarna and Hazam Mahmad Sa’adi Al Shakr, both described as “Global Jihad-affiliated” terrorists, during an airstrike in the northern Gaza Strip, the IDF said in a press release on its website. The IDF uses the term “Global Jihad-affiliated terrorist” to describe members of Salafist groups linked to al Qaeda’s network in the region.

Both Khafarna and Shakr were previously members of Hamas prior to joining the unnamed Salafist group. Khararna “is known to have taken part in firing rockets at Israel,” while Shakr “has planted and detonated explosive devices against IDF soldiers, along the border with the Gaza Strip.”.”

Today’s airstrike followed another yesterday that killed Abdallah Telbani in Gaza city. Telbani was also described as a “Global Jihad-affiliated terrorist,” and was involved in a plot to attack Israel from the Egyptian Sinai as well as rocket and IED attacks along the Israeli-Gaza border, according to Reuters.
