Be On The Lookout For Someone In A Blue Shirt

anonymousperson.png

That should be enough of a description to locate the suspect. At least according to some looney New York Democrats who decided profiling is so bad, police can't use race, gender, or age to look for crime suspects.

Cops might as well wear blindfolds if the City Council passes a bill that would let them use little more than the color of a suspect's clothing in descriptions -- or risk being sued for profiling, according to this provocative new ad (pictured) from the NYPD captains union.

The ad asks, "How effective is a police officer with a blindfold on?"

And the answer is not very, says the NYPD Captains Endowment Association, which is fighting the measure, claiming it would handcuff cops and send crime rates soaring.

Union President Roy Richter -- who is seen in the ad wearing a blindfold in Times Square -- told The Post the bill is dangerous because "it will ban cops from identifying a suspect's age, gender, color or disability.

"When we have wanted suspects and patterns of crimes, those are very important descriptive terms to let officers know who to look for."

The ad warns that if cops transmit a description of a suspect that goes beyond the color of his or her clothing, they could be sued for racial profiling if the proposal becomes law.

The ad will appear in tomorrow's Post, in addition to the union's Web site, Twitter and Facebook -- and provides links to contacts for City Council members to sway their vote on the measure.

The bill's sponsor, Jumaane Williams (D-Brooklyn), and Speaker Christine Quinn are going to bypass normal committee process and bring the measure directly to a vote.

Anonymous U.S. Officials: FBI ID's Benghazi Suspects But No Arrests & Stuff

This is not the flag you are looking for: A video is what you seek

Thanks Bronco!

WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. officials say they have identified five men they believe might be behind the attack on the diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, last year. The officials say they have enough evidence to justify seizing them by military force as suspected terroristsbut not enough proof to try them in a U.S. civilian court as the Obama administration prefers.

So the officials say the men remain at large while the FBI gathers more evidence

AP better be careful as this appears to be another 'intel leak'. The underlined bold above isn't gonna go over too well with the Bronco administration.

We can't seize them as 'suspected terrorists'? Huh?

Nothing to see here people, move along. All of this is irrelevant.

House Armed Services Committee To Receive Classified Pentagon Briefing On Benghazi Today

Byron York has noted that lawmakers are digging into life & death issues of Benghazi in way of the Pentagon's purse strings.

.....On Tuesday members of the House Armed Services Committee will question Pentagon officials in a classified session. The committee chairman, Republican Rep. Buck McKeon, R-Calif., last week told Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel that he remains "deeply concerned" about unanswered Benghazi questions. In a letter to Hagel, McKeon said he wants to know more about:

1. The account of events from the commander of the U.S. Site Security Team in Benghazi, including "the orders he received from higher authority;"

2. The presence of aircraft in the region, whether they were armed, how far they were from Benghazi, whether they would have needed in-flight refueling, and who in the military chain of command considered, or rejected, sending them to help;

3. The presence of unmanned aircraft in the region;

4. The status of a U.S. emergency team in Europe;

5. The presence of a Marine Corps Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team in the region;

6. What military preparations had been made to protect Americans in the area on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.[ed note: State Dept. Confirms: Marines on 9/11/12 Were Protecting U.S. Embassy--in Barbados]

Just to make sure he got a quick response, McKeon noted that he wants answers before he finishes work on next year's National Defense Authorization Act, which maps out funding for the Pentagon.

PC Kills: Jihad Experts Decry White House Terror Training Guidelines

Why I'm shocked, just shocked I tell you!

Experts on Islam and terrorism are decrying the Department of Homeland Security’s recently revealed anti-terrorism training guidelines, which pressure cops to ignore Islamic beliefs when investigating terror crimes.

The Boston bombings demonstrated the impact of such training, Andrew McCarthy, a former New York prosecutor, told The Daily Caller.

“The Boston Marathon was bombed by a jihadist who had been investigated by the FBI … [and was confirmed in 2011 to be] an Islamist, which would have been hard not to do since he does not appear to have made any secret of it,” said McCarthy, who persuaded a New York jury in 1995 to convict “Blind Sheikh” Omar Abdel-Rahman for his use of Islamic teaching to spur jihad attacks, including the 1993 attack against the Twin Towers

Hagel: Gee, I Guess We Won't Deactivate NYC's ONLY Weapons of Mass Destruction-Civil Support Team Now

"Make the sequester hurt" hit's a hurdle after terrorism in Boston

Ya think?

The only U.S. military team assigned to New York City to support first responders in case of a disaster will remain on duty. It was just saved on the brink of elimination.

fthamilton.jpgA day after the bombings at the Boston Marathon, Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel rescinded his decision to disband the rapid-response unit based at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn.

His abrupt change of mind was a relief to New Yorkers amid the sudden new concerns about terrorism. During testimony on Capitol Hill, Mr. Hagel announced that the Pentagon won't deactivate the 24th National Guard Weapons of Mass Destruction-Civil Support Team (WMD-CST)[...]

WMD-CSTs are trained to provide rapid military support to civil authorities in the event of a chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear threat.

Mr. Hagel acknowledged that his reversal on funding the pair of units in New York and Florida means they will not become the victims of federal cost-cutting[...]

"The 24th National Guard WMD-CST team has done exceptional job, not just in New York, but also in Boston, where they were on the ground responding to the horrific attack on the marathon," Mr. Grimm said. "This week's events have reminded us that we must remain vigilant, and this elite team assists that effort." [More..]

Florida Democrats Oppose Bill That Protects Constitutional Rights And Equality

How could anyone oppose a bill that does nothing but protect the Constitutional rights of persons involved? Florida Democrats do (emphasis mine):

The Florida House Civil Justice Subcommittee has passed HB 351, formally titled "Application of Foreign Law in Certain Cases" but more popularly referred to as an "Anti-Sharia Bill." The bill is modeled after legislation proposed by activist groups who claim Islamic law, which discriminates against women and non-Muslims, is stealthily encroaching upon the American judicial system.

The bill prohibits the enforcement by Florida courts of contracts, mediation agreements, or other voluntary settlements if those agreements are based "on any foreign law, legal code, or system that does not grant the parties affected by the ruling or decision the same fundamental liberties, rights, and privileges guaranteed by the state Constitution or the United States Constitution."

The measure, sponsored by Rep. Larry Metz, R-Yalaha, passed on a party-line vote, with all nine Republicans supporting it and the panel's four Democrats opposing.

#Benghazi: Def Sec Panetta & Gen Dempsey Testify Before The Senate Armed Services Committee
Obama Only Spoke To Panetta & Dempsey ONCE During Night Of Attack
Obama Never Requested A Update

 photo benghazi_heroes_zps638f9e5b.jpg

You can listen/watch here

WTF? Panetta wants to talk sequester. Umm, this hearing is about Benghazi, stop changing the subject.

Update: Panetta - "The US military is not, and should not, be a 911 service, capable of arriving on the scene in minutes around the world"

Update: Back to talking about sequester thanks to Sen Manchin (D).

Update: Sen Graham asked: Was any aircraft or any personnel sent to Benghazi during the attack? Any DOD asset sent at all? Gen. Dempsey: No.

Panetta and Dempsey said they spoke to Obama one time the night of Benghazi attack and that Obama never requested an update. Hence, no images of Obama in the 'war room'? Wow.

Via Sen Ayotte. (Who asked some excellent questions): "POTUS never asked what assets we had available to help on night of #Benghazi attack". "Shocking that POTUS never spoke with SECDEF or CJS again after learning our consulate was attacked to ask 'how's it going?'". "POTUS outsourced #Benghazi response". Amen to that, Sen Ayotte.[Uodate: video added of exchange]

The democrats on the committee only want to talk about the budget, sequestration. Pathetic.

Update: Sen Cruz focusing on "window when attack began". "What could have been done, what military options". Panetta: "Tough to respond to a hypothetical" "Can't bomb the hell out of the place without knowing what was going on". Cruz: "What is the absolute fastest for boots on the ground" Dempsey: "13 hours". "No AC-130's in Africa that night". Regarding meeting with Obama, Cruz: "How much of that meeting was about Benghzi" Panetta: 15 to 20 minutes".

Michigan: Union Goons Tear Down, Slash Tent Filled With People (Updated)

Without any concern for the people inside, union goons tore down an AFP tent and then slashed it to pieces during a protest in Lansing, Michigan. Police were nearby, but feared the mob and did nothing. Even as people were trapped under it, these union animals began jumping on and slashing the tent.

The tent was owned by Americans For Prosperity Michigan Chapter.

This attack comes on the heels of Democratic Rep. Douglas Geiss promising "there will be blood":

Just don't expect the violence to end with a tent.

UPDATE: Steven Crowder was punched several times as he tried to report about the tent being destroyed. There was blood, but fortunately very minor. But I doubt the violence is over.

UPDATE II: White House refuses to condemn Geiss' "there will be blood" comments. Spokesman Jay Carney says the comment is open to interpretation.

UPDATE III: Steven Crowder just uploaded video of union thugs attacking him. It isn't pretty. View it HERE. (I'm also adding it below the fold.)

Also, from BigG: MI Right to-Work Battle: Union Members Shout Down Tea Party Counter-Protest

Update II by SH: With Right-to-Work Being Protested in Michigan, Liberal Media Avoids the Other Side of the Story

Right-to-work legislation has passed in Michigan, despite the vociferous protests of bused-in union protesters in Lansing and sympathetic coverage from the liberal media, who have portrayed right-to-work as a blow to "union rights" as well as a "politically unnecessary" and "divisive" move by Republicans who control the state legislature and governor's mansion in a state that went strongly for Obama last month.

But there is another side of the story, which the liberal media outlets are seemingly ignoring. The Michigan-based conservative think tank called the Mackinac Center for Public Policy has not only published persuasive and thoroughly-researched reports advocating for the right-to-work policy, they are doing their best to inform the public with the facts and figures that the majority of the media refuses to acknowledge, much less verify.

For example, Mackinac has reported on how the public employees union SEIU has skimmed off the dues from its ailing and disabled clients' Medicaid subsidy checks to the tune of $33 million since 2006. The vast majority of which has been used solely for political advocacy.[More...]

Stop the Occupation of .... Kurdistan

How come the UN spends so much time on the Palestinian "problem" when it spends precisely zero time on so many other "occupations"?

For instance, the Kurds are a stateless people who are not Arabs. This is unlike the Palestinians who are ethnically & linguistically no different than Jordanians, Syrians, or Egyptians. Palestinians are simply Arabs in areas once claimed by Arab countries but which got their asses kicked and were forced to renounce those claims.

The Kurds are not just our allies -- through mutual interest -- they are our friends. Want to meet a population of Muslims who love America and hates Islamism? Go to Kurdistan.

And if we are were a better friend, we'd immediately recognize a separate Kurdish state. But that's not going to happen.

Maybe we can get Israel to invade Kurdistan so there would be immediate outrage and UN recognition? Think of it like a friendly lawsuit, where those being invaded actually collude with the invaders.

Hey, it could happen:

A hundred miles from Baghdad, tanks are facing off across a frontline defined not by an international border but by ethnic enmity, fuelled by past bloodshed and future oil wealth, that risks tearing Iraq apart. The sun-blazoned flag of Kurdistan flies from the turrets of Soviet-built armoured vehicles, seized a decade ago from Saddam Hussein’s army, their barrels now aimed at the unseen forces of Iraq’s national government on the far side of Tuz Khurmato, a town beyond the formal boundary of the Kurds’ autonomous region.

For three weeks, Kurdish “peshmerga” and soldiers of Baghdad’s Arab army, have been reinforcing positions in the “disputed territories”, a long, ill-defined swathe of northern Iraq, rich in oil and communal complexity, where the federal government and Kurdish leaders based in Erbil vie for control.

I get why we wanted to keep Iraq together while we were still there. But now that we're gone, the only thing holding us back are ... the Turks? Turkey is important to us .... why, again?

Report: 'Climate Change' One Of The Top Five Threats to National Security

Nat'l Defense Mag

Climate Change: The national security ramifications of climate change are severe, according to Defense Secretary Leon Panetta. While the topic of climate change has been hugely politicized, Panetta casts the issue as a serious security crisis. “In the 21st century, we recognize that climate change can impact national security — ranging from rising sea levels, to severe droughts, to the melting of the polar caps, to more frequent and devastating natural disasters that raise demand for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief,” Panetta said. The administration projects that the change wrought by a warming planet will lead to new conflicts over refugees and resources and catastrophic natural disasters, all of which would require increased U.S. military support and resources. The scientific community, in this area, cannot agree on what it will take to reverse this trend. There is agreement, though, that there is no silver bullet.
Quote: "increased U.S. military support and resources"

I point you to this video from FNC's Breit Baier special: Behind Obama's Green Agenda:

The US Embassy in Vienna celebrated "greening" by using a Government Motors product, the Chevy Volt. A good time was had by all, champagne sipping, etc. The Obama administration had no problem with funding this wonderful achievement.

In a May 3, 2012, email, the State Department denied a request by a group of Special Forces assigned to protect the U.S. embassy in Libya to continue their use of a DC- 3 airplane for security operations throughout the country.

The subject line of the email, on which slain Ambassador Chris Stevens was copied, read: “Termination of Tripoli DC-3 Support.”

Four days later, on May 7, the State Department authorized the U.S. embassy in Vienna to purchase a $108,000 electric vehicle charging station for the embassy motor pool’s new Chevrolet Volts. The purchase was a part of the State Department’s “Energy Efficiency Sweep of Europe” initiative, which included hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on green program expenditures at various U.S. Embassies.

In fact, at a May 10 gala held at the U.S. embassy in Vienna, the ambassador showcased his new Volts and other green investments as part of the U.S. government’s commitment to “climate change solutions."

Meanwhile in Libya, there were no Chevy Volts or other "climate change solutions" to celebrate, I suppose.

The "greening" of our national security can be summed up with these two images:

Obama Administration: "Osama bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive". Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods are dead but General Motors is alive.

Nuff said.

Email Shows Obama's State Department Rejecting Request of Security Team To Retain DC-3 at US Embassy in Libya

Obama's America

Fly the friendly skies of Libya Airlines, sh*t.

Via Jake Tapper @ABCNews

ABC News has obtained an internal State Department email from May 3, 2012, indicating that the State Department denied a request from the security team at the Embassy of Libya to retain a DC-3 airplane in the country to better conduct their duties.

Copied on the email was U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was killed in a terrorist attack on the diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya, Sept. 11, 2012, along with three other Americans. That attack has prompted questions about whether the diplomatic personnel in that country were provided with adequate security support.

No one has yet to argue that the DC-3 would have definitively made a difference for the four Americans killed that night. The security team in question, after all, left Libya in August

It was bad enough those in Benghazi had no quick transport out, but the Obama Administration rejected military intervention during the attack
The hour is 5 p.m., Sept. 11, Washington time, and the scene is an Oval Office meeting among President Obama, the secretary of defense, the national security adviser and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi has been under assault for roughly 90 minutes. Some 30 U.S. citizens are at mortal risk. The whereabouts of Ambassador Stevens are unknown.

What is uppermost on the minds of the president and his advisers? The safety of Americans, no doubt. So what are they prepared to do about it? Here is The Wall Street Journal's account of the meeting:

"There was no serious consideration at that hour of intervention with military force, officials said. Doing so without Libya's permission could represent a violation of sovereignty and inflame the situation, they said. Instead, the State Department reached out to the Libyan government to get reinforcements to the scene."

So it did. Yet the attack was far from over. After leaving the principal U.S. compound, the Americans retreated to a second, supposedly secret facility, which soon came under deadly mortar fire. Time to call in the troops?

Continued below the fold:

Some officials said the U.S. could also have sent aircraft to the scene as a 'show of force' to scare off the attackers," the Journal reported, noting that there's a U.S. air base just 450 miles away in Sicily. "State Department officials dismissed the suggestions as unrealistic. 'They would not have gotten there in two hours, four hours or six hours.'"

The U.S. security detail only left Benghazi at 8 a.m. on Sept. 12, more than 10 hours after the attacks began. A commercial jet liner can fly from D.C. to Benghazi in about the same time.

Obama did build this.

Oregon County Extorts Taxpayers By Releasing Accused Murderers

Like they couldn't trim down the welfare budget by making a few able-bodies go to work...

From FNC:

A $100 million budget deficit in Oregon's Lane County has prompted the sheriff to release nearly 100 detainees and inmates from his jail, including several accused of killing people. Ninety-two prisoners were freed over three days this month as the jail closed a whole wing of its 507-bed facility.

“It was horrifying,” says Lane County Sheriff Tom Turner. “All the effort to get those people into the jail is now gone, wasted.”

I understand the U.S. Forest Service regulations, under Clinton's Administration, severely limited the lumber industry. And I can really understand releasing non-violent offenders during difficult financial times, but to release accused murderers waiting for trial? A 507 bed facility couldn't accommodate a few murderers? This is nothing short of extortion.

Supreme Court Scolds Obama For Warning

The Justices remind King Obama that that "unelected group of people" is an equal branch of our government. Guess Harvard Law School didn't teach him about that.

But then again, they shouldn't have to - it should have been covered in basic high school civics. (Do they still teach civics in high school, or has it been replaced with "Diversity training" and "Multiculturalism" classes?)

Anyway, Andrea Ryan at Gateway Pundit says it best:

The three branches of government are co-equal to prevent this sort of tyrannical behavior. But, Obama thinks he’s the only branch of government and the other two just interfere. Maybe next he’ll threaten to add six more Justices to the Supreme Court, like Roosevelt did 75 years ago.

I'm certain Obama and his cronies will find a way to circumvent any Supreme Court ruling against this health care abomination. It's not like the rule of law or the Constitution actually matters to this Administration...

From KATU.com:

The March 14 beating in Palmdale was captured on video and posted on YouTube, but has since been removed from the site. The seven boys, ages 13 to 16, were arrested Wednesday for investigation of assault and committing a hate crime, Lt. Don Ford said. [...]

During the beating, the teens made racially derogatory statements that were captured on the video, Ford said.

After the victim fell to the ground, the assailants kicked him multiple times in the head, knocked out several teeth and left shoe impressions on his skin, Ford said.

Would the authorities tell us if this senseless beating was in response to the Trayvon Martin case? Al Sharpton did call on his supporters to 'escalate' civil disobedience if George Zimmerman wasn't arrested.

Ron Ben-Yishai: US Administration making deliberate effort to hinder Iran strike by leaking classified info

Yes Israel, Obama sux as CIC...

The United States is leaking information to the media in order to avert an Israeli strike in Iran: The US Administration recently shifted into high gear in its efforts to avert an Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities by the end of the year. The flood of reports in the American media in recent weeks attests not only to the genuine US fear that Israel intends to realize its threats; moreover, it indicates that the Obama Administration has decided to take its gloves off.

Indeed, in recent weeks the Administration shifted from persuasion efforts vis-à-vis decision-makers and Israel’s public opinion to a practical, targeted assassination of potential Israeli operations in Iran. This “surgical strike” is undertaken via reports in the American and British media, but the campaign’s aims are fully operational: To make it more difficult for Israeli decision-makers to order the IDF to carry out a strike, and what’s even graver, to erode the IDF’s capacity to launch such strike with minimal casualties.

The first and most important American objective is to eliminate potential operational options available to the IDF and the State of Israel. I have no intention of detailing or even hinting to the options which the US government aims to eliminate by exposing them in the media. A large part of the reports stem from false information or disinformation, and there is no reason to reveal to the Iranians what’s real and what isn’t. However, it is blatantly clear that reports in the past week alone have caused Israel substantive diplomatic damage, and possibly even military and operational damage. [More...]

Despite Months Of Violence, Obama Administration Still Refuses To Condemn #Occupy Protests

Last October, President Obama expressed his support for the #Occupy movement.

Now, after three months of continual lawlessness - violence, child abuse, vandalism, rape, murder, etc. - you'd think he'd take any opportunity to, at minimum, condemn the illicit behavior.

This past weekend, he was handed that opportunity, on a silver platter. But instead of condemning any part of the violent protest movement, Obama Administration spokesman Jay Carney skirts the issue:

Gingrich To Pelosi: "Bring It On, Bi-atch!"

pelosi3.jpg

Okay, I added the "bi-atch," but you know that's what Newt was thinking.

"There is something I know. The Republicans, if they choose to nominate him that's their prerogative," said Congresswoman Pelosi. "I don't even think that's going to happen." [...]

"I have a simple challenge for Speaker Pelosi...you know, put up or shut up. I mean, I have no idea what she's talking about. I don't think she has any idea what she's talking about, but bring it on," [Gingrich] said.

The Democrats are terrified of Newt for some reason. Maybe it's because they think he'll be harder to beat in the next election. Maybe they know their Dear Leader, the Great Orator, won't last two minutes in a debate with Gingrich. They want Romney to win the GOP nomination. Their attempts to get Gingrich out of his way reeks of desperation.

They are terrified of Newt, and that alone is reason enough for me to vote for him.

Update: This is why I don't like Romney. Instead of condemning Pelosi's threats, he is exploiting the situation to further attack Gingrich. His ultimate agenda is to benefit himself, not to oppose the failed Obama Administration, not to help restore America to its former Glory, but his own selfish end.

I know most every politician is self-serving, but I believe there are still a few who sincerely want a stronger America before all else. When it comes to Newt and Mitt, it is my opinion that Newt cares more for this country than Mitt. Gingrich may not be the perfect candidate, but I think he's the best choice among those running.

The GOP candidates need to stop thrashing each other and focus on Obama's ethics, qualifications, and records. Then let the American people decide who will be the best leader for this great nation. Some may disagree, but that's how I see it.

Update 2: BigGovernment has more on Romney's curious insistence that Gingrich releases records already made public.

Zombie Apocalypse Begins

zombies_voters.jpg

A few abnormalities were noted in South Carolina recently. Zombie experts predict the number of Zombie sightings will gradually increase over the next several months, reaching a culmination on or around November 6th, 2012.

After that date, it's every living person for himself.

#OccupyBoston Removes Finance Officers For Using Funds To "Appropriate Channels Of Power And Channels Of Influence”

In other words - bribery. And I'd be willing to wager those receiving the funds are in the union.

BOSTON (CBS) – Occupy Boston has pulled two members from its finance team for their lack of transparency and accountability.

The group, which is seeking more transparency in financial institutions has excluded Paul Carnes and Sidney Sherrel from financial decisions.

The pair allegedly didn’t follow the group’s rules when it comes to spending money and organizing a fundraiser.

Occupy member Nadeem Mazen says the actions of one of the accused were in poor taste.

He says Paul was using his spending, “To appropriate channels of power and channels of influence.”

Tea Party Paid For Right To Protest While #Occupy Protests For Free

Yet even more of a double-standard in our society. Those who wish exercise their rights respectfully and within the law must pay for that privilege. Others are allowed the same rights and privileges at no cost.

The Tea Party paid for the same services #Occupy protesters receive for free:

Richmond, Va. — The Richmond tea party is demanding a refund of about $10,000 from the city, claiming it unfairly charged them for rallies while allowing the Occupy protesters to use the same space for several weeks for free.

The political organization is sending the city an invoice for the charges incurred for three rallies held in Kanawha Plaza over the past three years. The Occupy protesters have been camped in the plaza since Oct. 15.

Richmond Tea Party spokeswoman Colleen Owens says it's not fair that her group had to pay fees for permits, portable toilets, police presence and emergency personnel. The group also had to purchase a $1 million insurance policy.

Tea party groups across the nation have raised similar concerns since the protests spread from New York earlier this month.

#OccupyWallStreet Desecrates American Flag, Along With All Reasoning & Common Decency (Updated & Bumped)

Update 4: Iran supports #OccupyWallStreet; Salman Rushdie supports #OccupyWallStreet. Can you say "suicidal irony"? I knew you could.

Update 3: Filthy hippie dances on War Memorial. Where have all the soldiers gone? They should be beating this filth to a pulp.

Update 2: #OccupyPortland sings "F-ck the USA." Again, no repudiation.

Update: From Gateway Pundit, The American Nazi party and the Communist Party USA throw their support behind #OccupyWallStreet. Neither #OccupyWallStreet, nor their supporters, do anything to repudiate it.

#OccupyWallStreet Protester Craps On Police Car

Such lovely people. Sure, let's take them seriously.

protester craps on car.jpg

The left is proudly claiming these people as their counter to the Tea Party. The Tea Party is decent, patriotic, intelligent, respectful and law-abiding. So, I suppose #OccupyWallStreet is the perfect opposition.

Nancy Pelosi praised them: “God bless them for their spontaneity. It’s independent … it’s young, it’s spontaneous, and it’s focused. And it’s going to be effective.”

In other words, shit happens.

Remember, Alec Baldwin thinks this type of protest is good:

#OccupyWallStreet Video Lies

But it's not really a surprise....

First, here is the video #OccupyWallstreet wants you to see:

It looks brutal; the police are striking protesters with batons.

But what these protesters don't want you to see is what happened seconds before that provoked the police response. In the video below, you can hear the protesters counting down and then rushing the police. At least one officer is struck in the head by a protester (@00:10). Another can be seen kicking an officer (@00:15). The police repeatedly order the protesters to "Get back" and they ignore the orders:

Update: Alec Baldwin on #OccupyWallstreet: "This type of activism = good!":

NC Democrat Recommends Suspending Next Congressional Election (Updated & Bumped)

Update: The Daily Caller has the audio. You decide - was she joking or serious?

From NewsObserver blog via Unified Patriots, NC Governor Beverly Perdue stated (emphasis mine):

"You have to have more ability from Congress, I think, to work together and to get over the partisan bickering and focus on fixing things. I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won't hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that. The one good thing about Raleigh is that for so many years we worked across party lines. It's a little bit more contentious now but it's not impossible to try to do what's right in this state. You want people who don't worry about the next election."

Earlier, I was reading an unrelated article where a commenter suggested the possibility that the Obama Administration is deliberately stoking racial and class tensions with the intention of inciting riots and anarchy in the streets. The Administration would then declare Martial Law and use that as a pretense to delay or suspend the 2012 Presidential election.

I laughed at the suggestion. Until I read the article above. Now I'm starting to wonder...
