Jesse Morton, a convert to Islam also known as Younus Abdullah Mohammad, plans to appear in federal court in Alexandria, Va., on Thursday, his lawyer told Politico. He will plead guilty to conspiracy, communicating threats, and internet stalking, Politico reported. Each felony carries a sentence of up to five years in prison.

We've been waiting a very long time for this. We have so much on this dude that I'm not sure where to start except to note that we've been following Jose Pimentel for some time and he's one of those hip-hop wannabe type Jihadis.

News is starting to leak about the arrest this weekend of a New York City man who planned to bomb police and military facilities. The NY Post reports:

The NYPD and Manhattan DA’s office have arrested a terror suspect who was planning to bomb city police facilities and US military sites, where he plotted to target returning war personnel and the families who gathered to welcome them home, The Post has learned.

The suspect, who lives in Manhattan, was arrested after he actually purchased bomb-making materials, sources said. He’d been on the authorities’ radar for about a year, the sources said.

It wasn’t immediately clear exactly where he planned to attack.

We can report here exclusively at PJM that the man arrested is Jose Pimentel of Harlem. On his Facebook page he describes himself as:

Wow it appears Joey has a new hobby, outing Jihobbyists.

Today's specimen is Abu Hadeed (shown here using his Youtube nickname). All jihobist like him try to strong arm you into accepting their rhetoric and most end up in jail where they believe they are the 'aseerun'. Anyway he is begging to make his point public so I will give him a platform. Interesting is the amount of times in his posts that he insults Khaleeji Arabs and uses terms like greasy & slimy. Seems to be a classic case of self hate,failure and blame it on the kuffar. You be the judge and don't forget to join his network,because indeed birds of a feather flock together.

Since Yousef had his falling out with the Jihad community they have turned their hatred against him as well. As they say politics make strange bedfellows.

In fact I'm of the opinion that even though I don't trust Yousef any further than I can throw him, his knowledge and expertise would be invaluable in the fight against terrorism and the spread of al-Qaeda propaganda.

We keep our focus tight here, for the most part we only direct our ire at known designated terrorist groups such as al-Qaeda and those who advocate for murder and terrorism against civilians. Civilians just like Joey.

Why don't you come with us? You're pretty good in a fight. We could use you.

For those who care:

Yes - point out that Tommy Christopher is little more than an Obama Administration hack, and probably have a few leftie commenters complain that they're getting their backsides handed to them in debates in the threads, and that equals a banning from Mediaite. Apparently.

I've been pointing out the hypocrisy of the newly-minted warmonger left ecstatic that their Nobel Peace Prize-winning warmonger President has claimed at least partial credit for the mob-killing of Qaddaffi. No problem, but trying to get them to understand that cheering it on, considering their views from 2003-2008 is, well, hypocritical

It's not like I haven't been there a while making noise - reasonably respectful, articulate, sometimes irreverent noise (I was one of the five most "liked" members of the commenting community), so I wasn't spamming them or anything. Just lots of tenacious, hearty, sometimes heated debate.

Scroll through any number of threads over there and see if anything I was saying was really ban-worthy, or even close to some of the ignorant trash the liberals over there post regularly.

Oh well. Spread the word around the right-o-sphere if you so care! It's my understanding that this is a Dan Abrams venture (former MSNBC), which explains the site's rather unhidden right-bashing agenda and their apparent short leash for people who can show their post authors the gaping holes in their, um, 'coverage' of the media (which consists of approximately 90% Fox-bashing, 9% Limbaugh-quote-mining, and 1% other).

Just a note on the minor controversy surrounding Will McCants and his Jihadica website. It was McCants who first noted that a user at the Shamikh forum was claiming responsibility for the Norway attack on behalf of The Helpers of the Global Jihad. The claim was widely reported in the MSM.

But just to show you how lazy these people are, McCants posted pretty quickly after the initial report that the same user had recanted his earlier claim and was now advising his fellow eHadis to wait for an official announcement. Now, I knew this because when I bothered to look at the original source.

I, a lazy part time blogger, was able to check the original source of the story and realized that the report was wrong. The MSM kept reporting this for hours, many of them citing each other and earlier MSM stories as the source of the report. This is just lazy journalism. These people claim the journalistic high ground viz-a-viz bloggers and employ full time fact checkers who, apparently, can't be bothered to actually check any facts.

In any event it wasn't McCants' fault that some idiot on the forums took credit, he was just reporting on what the guy said. Had any one in the MSM bothered to actually check the source they would have known this and would have pulled the initial reports.

But Michelle Malkin is reporting that the Taliban later denied their own press release, claiming phone hacking by US intelligence.

KABUL: Two Taliban spokesmen said their mobile phones had been hacked and false text messages sent out on Wednesday reporting the death of the movement’s supreme leader Mullah Omar, who is still alive.

“This is the work of American intelligence, and we will take revenge on the telephone network providers,” said spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, when contacted by Reuters to confirm the veracity of one text message.

The messages came from phone numbers used in the past by both Mujahid and a second spokesman Mohammad Qari Yousuf and said “spiritual Leader Mullah Mohammad Omar Mujahid has died” and “May Allah bless his soul”.

Really I fail to see a down side in this, either Mullah Omar is dead or...... the Taliban are so effing owned on the internet its not even funny.

What am I saying? Yes it is funny.

In fact I can't stop laughing..... really.

Update: It appears the Taliban have totally lost control of their website. The "fake Mullah Omar" announcement still appears on their English version of the new website which is hosted in the Netherlands.

Darn you'd have thought they'd have been safe there.

Federal authorities are using words uttered by the co-founder of a radical Islamic group to charge him with threats against the creators of "South Park."

A criminal complaint alleging the communication of threats was filed in Virginia late last week against Jesse Curtis Morton, also known as Younus Abdullah Mohammad.

A senior law enforcement source Thursday told CNN, which interviewed Morton in 2009, that the suspect is believed to be in Morocco, where he maintains Islampolicy.com, an English-language website propagating pro al Qaeda views.

That website is a successor to Revolutionmuslim.com.

And a note to Younes at Islampolicy: Why don't you answer my emails? Cat got your tongue? And there all this time we thought Yousef was the big fat pussy in your group. But now we know it's you.

Investigative Project:

A second man has been charged in connection with threats made last year against the producers of the Comedy Central program "South Park."

Jesse Curtis Morton, (aka Younus Abdullah Mohammad) is charged with communicating threats. Morton helped run a website, RevolutionMuslim, with Zachary Chesser. Chesser is serving a 25-year prison term after pleading guilty to a similar charge and to trying to provide material support to the Somali terrorist group al-Shabaab.

After a "South Park" episode in April 2010 mocked the violent reaction of radical Islamists by portraying the Prophet Mohammad covered by a bear suit, Chesser posted a statement warning producers Matt Stone and Trey Parker that they "will probably wind up like Theo van Gogh for airing this show."

Van Gogh was a Dutch filmmaker who was killed on an Amsterdam street after producing a short film protesting the treatment of women in Islam.

According to an affidavit from FBI Special Agent Paula Menges, Chesser then collaborated with Morton on a "clarification statement" triggered by media inquiries.

"The Clarification Statement contained pages of justification under Islamic law for the death of those who insult Islam or defame its prophet, and for Muslims to bring about such deaths," Menges wrote. "In it, Morton and Chesser asserted in pertinent part that 'we will never tolerate the mocking or insulting of any one of the prophets,' and explained that the Islamic ruling on this situation was that 'the punishment is death.'"

Though the statement indicated they were not inciting violence, it included a quote from Osama bin Laden that threatened those responsible for Danish cartoons depicting Mohammad with "the freedom of our actions" as payback for their free speech.

That, Menges wrote, crosses the line between protected speech and conveying a threat because it warned Stone and Parker they "would be on the receiving end of actions analogous to those of bin Laden if they refused to change their ways."

The clarification statement included a picture of Van Gogh's body after a stranger killed him "for making a film that was perceived to have insulted Islam." Even if they were not making a direct threat, their statement posted on radical Islamist websites could inspire others to act. "[B]y issuing that statement, they certainly knew that violence was likely to be incited by it anyway."

Wired: Tomorrow, Rep. Peter King convenes his hearing on the radicalization of the American Muslim community. One group is hoping all the scare talk about the — complete with some serious and “expert” scare talk about all those jihadis among us. But there are some other experts out there with a very different perspective on the subject: actual domestic radicals. Turns out, American jihadis are really disappointed in American Muslims for their utter disinterest in al-Qaeda. And no wonder: more than 99.9 percent of U.S. Muslims want nothing to do with the radicals, new statistics show.

Unfortunately, no homegrown terrorists seem willing or able to testify, either because they’re subpoena-shy, in federal prison or playing a high stakes game of hide-and-seek with American drones in Yemen. They’re a chatty bunch, though, and have left a record of their thoughts on Muslims and their representatives here in the United States.

Take Samir Khan, for instance. Before fleeing to Yemen to edit the jihadist magazine Inspire, he freelanced media support for al-Qaeda from his home in North Carolina via the internet. Khan was quick to bemoan American Muslims’ disinterest in his concept of jihad, playing it off as the product of distraction rather than disagreement.

“It is the culture of hating death and loving wealth,” Khan wrote of American Muslim culture in a post to his “Ignored Puzzle Pieces of Knowledge” blog, using a play on Osama Bin Laden’s classic catch phrase. “They don’t want to fling themselves into the spears of the enemies when they could be playing their PlayStation 3 or enjoying their favorite television show or sport whilst eating their favorite dinner meal.”

It was a sentiment he later echoed in the pages of Jihad Recollections, an English-language screed Khan published with fellow extremists. It became the template for Inspire. “Their Islam is limited to the more ‘acceptable’ parts of the Qur’an and Sunnah, whilst they shun Islam’s more controversial or antagonistic teachings,” Khan wrote of those promoting “moderate” Islam. “We find many of our fellow Muslims in America that are absolutely blinded by the inspiring play of American politics, the comfortable practice of ‘moderate’ Islam, and the denunciation of the Islamists.”

Answer: Not one!

Samir Khan AKA A Martyr Allah Willing has spent a lot of time glorifying the death of this or that poor Muslim sucker whom they sent to murder their fellow Muslim brothers. Its about time he put his money where his mouth is, Allah willing of course.

It seems that Allah is willing, Samir Khan not so much.

A college dropout and Muslim convert who threatened the creators of the "South Park" cartoon series and then tried to join an Al Qaeda-linked terrorist group in Somalia has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Zachary A. Chesser of Bristow, Va., pleaded guilty last year to supporting the al-Shabab terrorist group in Somalia and posting online threats against the "South Park" creators for an episode he perceived as insulting to the Prophet Muhammad. He was sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court in Alexandria.

In a rather long article in the Washington Post, Frankie Martin says a number of out and out lies about the Jawa Report.

The article attempts to refute a post by Laura Rubenfield which argued that the Founding Fathers did not care much for Islam. His refutation is laughable, missing the forest for the trees. For instance, in the course of pointing out that Franklin's use of a story of Muslim's taking Europeans as slaves he fails to see that the use of such an analogy was quite apt: hundreds of thousands -- if not more -- of Europeans were taken as slaves by Muslims who justified the practice based on Quran, hadith, and Sunnah.

The Prophet Muhammad himself had slaves. And not just slaves: sex-slaves.

That the Founding Fathers admired Muhammad and Islam is beyond rational argumentation. They did admire Muhammad and thought of him as "great". In the same way they thought other great political and military leaders of the past were great. Like Alexander, Hammurabi, or Peter.

But they did not think of Muhammad or Islam as "great" in the same way they thought other religious leaders . The most religiously skeptical of the Founders, such as Jefferson, may have been skeptical of the divinity of Christ but he was certainly an admirer of his teachings. One could not say the same thing about his feelings towards Muhammad and Islam.

That they would tolerate Islam is also beyond dispute. These were tolerant men. But to the modern liberal the word tolerance has lost all meaning. Liberals think that anything short of embracing is an act of intolerance. Not so. To tolerate is to accept the existence of that which one disdains.

If there is any agreement among the Founders on Islam then it is that they disdained it, but were on no crusade to rid the world of this or of any other equally disdainful theories. They tolerated it.

One might say many things about their thoughts on Islam. One might wrongfully accuse them of being intolerant. One might even say they were prejudiced by their own misconceptions of Islam and Muhammad. That would be an honest argument. But one cannot argue that they thought all religions were basically the same, and that Islam was no different than Christianity or Buddhism. This is simply intellectually dishonest.

But being dishonest is something that Mr. Martin seems comfortable with. He goes on to write several false things about this website. Things that are defamatory and that the Washington Post ought to immediately retract.

He begins a long diatribe against The Jawa Report by beginning with this falsehood:

Some of the blogs that breathlessly featured Rubenfeld's article do not even attempt to conceal their racism. The Jawa Report, for example, proudly describes itself as a "weblog comparing Muslims to Jawas,"

Not only am I not a racist, but I unequivocally condemn all forms of racism and bigotry. Including the soft bigotry of low expectations. Such as the liberal bigotry which says that Muslims cannot be treated as adults. That they cannot take criticism the same way Catholics, Mormons, or Buddhists can. That they are somehow exempt from the rules of civilized society because, you know, you wouldn't want to piss them off. They might kill you.....

Second, I categorically deny that I have ever described this blog -- my blog -- that way. Martin didn't bother to ask me what this blog was about. Instead, he proves that in addition to being lazy and dishonest he's also 10 years behind the curve. Instead of Googling "Jawa Report" he used Yahoo!. How do I know this? Because the first hit over at Yahoo! gives you this typically biased description, quoted verbatim by Martin:

He goes on:

the "typically short rodent-like" sand-dwellers of Star Wars who are described in the film as "disgusting."

That posts also compares Islamists to Tusken Raiders and Israelis to moisture farmers. I wonder what Martin's vast Star Wars knowledge says about these two groups? Am I now going to be accused of antisemetism because, well, you know about Uncle Owen and company?

One post, six years ago, and now I'm somehow a racist? Never mind the absurdity of throwing race into an argument about religion.

Also, since Mr. Martin seems such a keen wit and an expert on satire, perhaps he would bother to watch South Park or Archie Bunker. When I first started this blog I went out of my way to be offensive. I was going for Cartmanesque. It was schtick. Playing the rube on purpose. The Archie Bunker character who could get away with saying uncomfortable things because, you know, he's a real as*shole. But sometimes, only the as*hole can tell the truth. Buried in there, beneath all the rude remarks and troglodyte thinking a nugget, a kernal of truth.

A lot of bloggers were doing that sort of thing back then. Of them, only a few of us are left. FrankJ over at IMAO is still around blogging in character. Allahpundit retains the name, but the shtick is long gone. So, too, is Rusty Shackleford. Mostly.

It would take, literally, an idiot to believe that any of my early writings were anything other than shtick. But Mr. Martin isn't even an idiot, he's just lazy. He didn't even bother reading this blog, just did a Yahoo! search.

His laziness and defamation goes on:

A section on the website is entitled "my pet Jawa" implying, (but only satirically, of course!) that Muslims are sub-human creatures suitable to be kept as pets.

If the web address is offensive I'll be happy to change it. How about www.frankiemartinisaliar.com?

Again, if there was anything offensive in the original url then it should be taken as shtick. Now it's just a cute name reflecting my obsession with Star Wars.

If anything my biggest regret on the url is that it's kinda gay. C'est la vie!

But the lies, distortions, and defamation get even worse:

What Mr. Martin means is that there are photoshopped fake pictures of Qurans in toilets. Like the phony story reported by Newsweek about Qurans being put in toilets at Guantanamo Bay, our so-called "pictures" showing the same are also phonies.

Mr. Martin is undoubtedly aware that fake allegations of Quran desecrations at Guantanamo, reported without any fact checking by Newsweek, led to riots all over the Muslim world and that many people actually were killed over these phony allegations. I'd like to hear Mr. Martin's equivocations on the subject. Something about Islam being just like any other religion, no different than the Amish or other Anabaptist movements I'm sure.

And since Mr. Martin is also undoubtedly aware that even the threat of Quran desecration is enough to get one death threats, then I must come to the conclusion that his pointing out of the fake Quran desecrations on my blog -- posts written in the context of the phony Quran desecration stories -- might also lead to attempts on my life.

Is Frankie Martin trying to get me killed???

Okay, I don't really think that. I just think you're an as*hole. A lazy one at that. But, dude, WTF were you thinking bringing up those old photoshops?

It just shows what an idiot you are and makes the point for us: that enough Muslims react like uncivilized barbarians to criticisms of their religion, holy books, or prophets that it is not irrational to fear retribution for the same words or actions routinely directed at other religions, holy books, or prophets.

I'd like to end my criticism of Mr. Martin, but it only gets worse from there:

Have there been racist comments in the comments section? Of course. Our resident racist Greyrooster has been banned on several occasions. I don't ban him any more because each time I ban him he just comes back within a few minutes, and he's usually even worse. So, the rule around here is just to ignore him and his ilk.

If Mr. Martin would like to volunteer his time moderating our comments section, I would be happy to oblige him. Unlike Mr. Martin, I have a day job. One that is not funded by the Saudi royal family to defame every one and any one who is even slightly critical of some of the worst aspects of political Islam.

Part of this emerging reliance of mainstream media on the hate bloggers comes from a genuine desire to understand Islam and the threat of terrorism, as often these blogs and commentators discuss material that the mainstream media has not looked into with as much attention or detail. It is hard for me to think of another reason why the New York Times leaned on the Jawa Report, which it described as "anti-jihadi Internet activists," for its investigative coverage of the "Jihad Jane" homegrown terrorism case, or why Esquire, while noting its "unsettling anti-Muslim invective," nevertheless glamorized the website as "laptop James Bonds," "thrill-seeking," and "all-American."

No. He's still lazy. But instead of only looking at the top hit for his Yahoo! search, he looked at the second hit. A Wikipedia entry where all of the above citations can be found.

He then defames me and The Jawa Report once more:

Of course, Muslim isn't a race so it isn't possible to be "racist" against Muslims.

One might be an anti-Arab racist. Or an anti-Pakistani racist. Etc. But one cannot be "racist" against a religion. A religion is simply a set of ideas and practices flowing from those ideas.

That isn't just semantics 101 either. People like Mr. Martin try to equivocate being anti-ideas with being racist. By conflating the two terms he intentionally misleads people into thinking that the same thing that motivates skinheads and Nazis is at the heart of the motivation of those who are anti-Islam.

I am not anti-Islam. I am anti-Islamist. That is, I oppose the political and legal system linked to Islam. If you want to pray towards Mecca and shave your balls, fine by me.

I know people like Robert Spencer don't like the latter term because he thinks Islam and Islamism are inseparable, but I think he's wrong on that point.

And there are people who are irrationally afraid of Muslims. Just as there were people were were irrationally afraid of Communists.

But just because some have irrational fears does not mean that others cannot have legitimate and rational fears. The truth of the matter is that there are many aspects of political Islam that are just as dangerous as Communism. And there are many Muslims --including Mr. Martin's financial benefactors in Saudi Arabia -- who share these dangerous political ideas.

Mr. Martin then goes on to defame many other bloggers and politicians who have ever said anything that might even hint that Islam isn't just a warmed over version of the Jehovah's Witnesses. I'll skip that part.

But he ends by calling for an investigation of these "anti-Muslim" bloggers. Insinuating that we are part of a large conspiracy, bankrolled by the "Los Angeles-based Fairbrook Foundation."

I don't know about that, but I'd like to know more. Seriously, I'm willing to sell out. Call me.

Somehow Mr. Martin believes that this giant bankroll of this Fairbank Foundation, which I've never heard of, is trickling down to us wee "hate" bloggers.

If we are somehow being bankrolled by a vast anti-Muslim conspiracy, what can one say when we compare that bankroll to the one funding the Ibn Khaldun Chair at American University by the Saudi Royals? Mr. Martin and his boss have a full time job, literally, defending Islam from criticism bought by the same people who exported their Salafi ideology and who were the intellectual backers of 9/11.

If you want to gainsay someone's motivations, I'd start there.

Unlike Mr. Martin and his boss Akbar Ahmed, I don't spend all day Googling myself. Yes, we know you Googled yourself today. Keep that up and you'll need to start shaving those palms. You may even go blind.

Here is the original Star Wars-Jawa post as I reprinted it in late 2004. On rereading it it's not nearly as offensive as I remembered it being. In fact, it's really only of interest to hardcore Star Wars fans.

Looking back on it, I now remember another motivation for the Star Wars themed blog: Clerks.

The whole what if the Empire were really the good guys thing and the Rebel Alliance were terrorists dialogue. Or something like that. Pretty good shtick, I thought, given that at the time Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfield were often portrayed by the Left as the Emperor, Darth Vader, or some combination of bad guys from the Trilogy.

Like I said, it was shtick, but I thought it was funny at the time. Yes, I know -- I am a total geek.

I also appreciate my Irish friend Mark Humphrys for digging into this post a little more and providing a few more links to refute Martin's spurious allegations. In his words, the Star Wars analogy is "somewhat incomprehensible". Yeah, I get that.

Most of all, thanks for reminding readers what my real political views are. The first two quotes about the Ground Zero Mosque are not taken out of context. I oppose the mosque building because it is offensive. But I also oppose those opponents of the mosque who tried to use the mechanisms of government to have the project shut down (such as through the zoning commission).

That is exactly how I feel about church/state relations, liberty, and private property: you keep the government out of my business, and I'll kindly repay the favor by keeping it out of yours.

I'm a tolerant libertarian. People should be allowed to do, say and believe stupid things. Which is one of the main reasons why I oppose political Islam: because it does not allow for real and meaningful dissent.

Humphrys also discovers that Mr. Martin plagiarized the offensive Star Wars language not from me, but from a Star Wars wiki (scroll down to see the screenshot). Not surprised, in the least.

Oh, yeah, and I forgot to mention Ace as one of the few old-school shtick bloggers still in the biz. Back from the day when a cool nickname was half the fun. How did I forget that?

I wasn't going to stick my nose into this. I don't do blog wars. But when my former mentor Charles Johnson decided to post on it, what could I do? Here's a guy who spent years shouting down terrorists and then, quite suddenly, decided any one who expressed similar sentiments was some kind of hidden fascist.

Anyway, it seems the league of excitable ex-conservatives were in a hissy that Frum wasn't included in some blogads thing.

I suggested to him that, in contrast to that particular project, we try to recruit bloggers who aren’t completely deranged. He agreed that this might be an effective approach.

Actually I agree with much of what was said. Except for the insane nasty blog war part that has been going on.

But blogs have already been invented. And without the crazy part you're not gonna get any traffic that's for damn sure. And I'm sure Charles and his enemies are enjoying the traffic his little self created blog war has drawn.

Maybe we can get in on that ;)

We need more diversity and linking on blogs not more petty creation vs science crap coupled with more consolidation.

Personally I've never had a conflict with science and God. Nope never read Sagan or Leaky or Asimov or even Charles Johnson for that matter and come away with less faith.

Never found much in the bible that explains much except Jesus ,how to save your soul and live either. But I don't dislike my "the world was created in 7 days and is 6000 years old " literalist cube neighbors. Nice folk. Trust my kid with em any day.

Seriously when Charles' Science can give me an at least half proven theory on what caused the big bang. Not a hypothesis mind you. Give me a call. Until then drop the believers are nutso anti-science crap.

If you want to do the blogs a service go invent a kick ass automatic spamproof trackback system.

Because that's the important part Charles is ordinary folk getting their say. Not a few hand picked vetted PC fake ass people.
