No Freedom of Speech or Religion in South Africa
No, they didn't criticize Islam ... they mentioned it. And for the "crime" of mentioning that a few Muslims were at a protest ... they got fined:
The Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA) fined in an August 29, 2013 judgment a South African radio broadcaster for making an “unjustifiable connection with Islam” during news reports....The other "criminal" speech violation? The same broadcaster mentioned that the murderers of Lee Rigby were "Islamic extremists".
BCCSA fined the public broadcaster SAfm R10,000 each for two violations of South Africa’s Broadcasting Code on May 24, 2013. The complainant, SAMNET (South African Muslim Network), charged in the first instance that a SAfm noon bulletin discussed “immigrants protesting in Switzerland about employment and other issues.” The clip stated that the “protesters were not linked to any religion even though some Muslims were present.”
Get it? You can't mention in South Africa when people kill in the name of Islam because .... racist!

Christopher Cruz Thinks You're an Idiot
Meanwhile, Christopher Cruz, 28, who allegedly started the chain of events by slowing down his bike to let his pals ahead — leaving Lien to bump his car into him — said in an interview aired Monday that he felt no responsibility. And also I'm really the Queen of England.
“I was looking over my shoulder to see where my friends were,” he told ABC News. “I wanted them to pull in front so I could follow them. I didn’t brake, but when I looked over my shoulder, my hand came off the throttle a little, but the driver didn’t slow down at all and bumped me.”

Petition to End Military Base "Gun Free Zones"
It sounds almost comedic: military bases are gun free zones.
But if Nidal Hasan's act of terror and Aaron Alexis' mass murder didn't teach us the lesson that this is an idiotic policy, I don't know what will.
Seriously, we don't trust our men and women in uniform to carry .... guns?
This has to stop. Now. Go sign the petition here.

Why You Can't Trust #Anonymous #Hackers
An interesting piece of history:
This hacker had never heard of Charles Johnson or LGF, and had no knowledge of how or why the yearlong collaboration between Charles and Barrrett [Brown] had ended badly. All this hacker knew was that Barrett said Charles was a bad person and, within a matter of minutes, the hacker had LGF offline. Now, you might be tempted to say: CJ was bound to get fleas when he chose to lie with the dogs. But think about it: #Anonymous hackers are willing to attack anyone based on ... the hurt feelings of a pseudo-journalist!

Manning Lawyer Wants to Force Taxpayers to Pay for Convict's Sex Change
If you want to cut off your schlong, get fake boobs, and shoot yourself up with some hormones so you can convince yourself and other stupid people that you're a "woman" --- more power to you. I think people ought to be allowed to do disgusting, idiotic things. It's called liberty.
But when you want to force me to pay for your silliness, I draw a line:
One day after being sentenced to 35 years in prison for the largest leak of classified documents in U.S. history, the Army private the world knows as Bradley Manning issued a statement about who she really is. "As I transition into this next phase of my life, I want everyone to know the real me. I am Chelsea Manning. I am a female," Manning wrote in a statement read on the Today show. "Given the way that I feel, and have felt since childhood, I want to begin hormone therapy as soon as possible. I hope that you will support me in this transition. I also request that, starting today, you refer to me by my new name and use the feminine pronoun (except in official mail to the confinement facility)."Not only do I want to kick this lawyers ass, but I'd throw in the Rolling Stone reporter who used the term "officially assigned gender". What the f*ck is that?
The letter is signed Chelsea E. Manning, and thanks supporters for raising awareness of her case.
Manning is likely to serve her time at Fort Leavenworth, which doesn't offer hormone therapy or sex-reassignment surgery to prisoners, as reported by Courthouse News. David Coombs, Manning's lawyer, was not sure if Fort Leavenworth would offer Manning hormone therapy, though he said on Today that he was "hoping" the prison "would do the right thing."
"If Fort Leavenworth does not, then I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure they are forced to do so," Coombs said, according to the Today website. It's not clear whether Manning will be imprisoned in the male or female population. In U.S. prisons in general, transgender inmates are typically classified by their officially assigned gender, rather than the gender with which they identify.
You know who "officially assigned" Bradley Manning's "gender"? His name was either God or Charles Darwin. Take your pick.

CORNHOLE WATCH!!11!! Bradley Manning Sentenced to 35 Years
It couldn't have happened to a nicer traitor:
Army Pfc. Bradley Manning was sentenced Wednesday to 35 years in prison for giving hundreds of thousands of secret military and diplomatic documents to WikiLeaks in one of the nation’s biggest leak cases since the Pentagon Papers more than a generation ago.I guess the only downside here is that Manning might actually like what his cellmate Bubba is going to do to him.

'Swat Team' Storms Animal Shelter To Kill Fugitive Baby Deer
I've always had the belief that a true police state was impossible in America. That, no matter how many fascists and Judenräte the government employs, there would always be enough conscientious officials to keep them in check. Some abuses are inevitable, but a majority of law enforcement are good, decent people who enjoy the same freedom most citizens do.
But it's cases like this that make me question my own beliefs:
The raid, complete with multiple squad cars and several armed officers from the state Department of Natural Resources, was organized after DNR officials received a tip about a two-week-old fawn who was being cared for by the no-kill animal shelter.
The young deer, named "Giggles," was being cared for by the rescue agency until she could be transferred to a wildlife shelter.
But Giggles never had the opportunity to be transferred because the DNR agents who descended upon the shelter killed her instead.
A lot of people beyond the actual participants were involved in this raid. There were judges who signed the warrants and supervisors within the departments. And to go in so heavily armed. Did they expect the baby deer to put up a fight? Or were they just willing to kill a few shelter volunteers who may have resisted? Makes me wonder whether anyone of them questioned the resources or the tactic used.
Especially when the situation was already resolving itself by the shelter, which made arrangements for the fawn to be transported to a wildlife center the very next day. Were the involved officers aware of this and did they then rush to execute the warrant before the transfer could happen? If so, why?

When your "whistleblower" decides his safest bet for assylum is in China (wrong), Russia (wrong), or now Cuba .... then I think you know pretty much everything there is to know about the guy.
Many of you are too young to remember this, but there actually were a number of people during the Cold War from the US who "defected" to the Soviet Union, Cuba, China, and yes even North Korea.

Speaking Of Creepy Ass Crackers...
Secret FBI files exclusively seen by the Sunday People reveal Michael Jackson spent £23million buying the silence of at least two dozen young boys he abused over 15 years.
The documents – case numbers CADCE MJ-02463 and CR 01046 – were not passed on to prosecutors in the King of Pop’s 2005 trial, when he was cleared of molesting a child.
But they throw a disturbing new light on the megastar’s insistence he never laid a finger on any of the scores of kids he invited to his home for unsupervised sleep-overs.
Agents have thousands of pages of evidence dating back to 1989 indicating Jacko groomed and molested children – sometimes right under the noses of their starstruck parents.

What could possibly go wrong?
The headline kind of says it all: CIA’s deputy director to be replaced with White House lawyer
Also, I'm on my annual trip to California to see the salmon return to Capistrano. So, I have only kind-of-sort-of been following the Snowden affair. I do have some thoughts on the subject, but the hopeful starlets out by the swimming pool have been keeping Producer Rusty Spielbergo pretty busy on tanning oil duty.
But one thing struck me the very first I heard about this guy was that he was fleeing the US to go to China because of that country's long standing commitment to .... free speech.
Something aint right here, folks. No sir, not by a longshot.
So, while you think about that go read Ace's excellent piece today with plenty of links as to why this guy is probably going to turn out to be a first class, grade-A douchebag.
I'm also guessing that a lot of the stunning "revelations" as to the NSA's ability to monitor any and all emails is going to turn out to be more hype than anything else. As I tell my students, there is a big leap between ability to collect data and ability to analyze it. In other words, the fact that Vinnie's midget porn collection is sitting on a supercomputer somewhere is a mighty far stretch from an actual human being taking the time to look at it. We should always remember that what could happen usually doesn't, not for lack of intent as much as for lack of ability.

Anti-Gun Group Director Arrested For Domestic Violence
Fortunately for Tio Hardiman, his wife was not armed. But then again, if she had been armed, he might not have had the bollocks to beat her in the first place (emphasis mine):
CeaseFire director Tio Hardiman (and HufPo contributor...SH) was released from jail after posting bond on a domestic battery charge. [...] Hardiman was arrested Friday after an argument with his wife allegedly turned physical at the couple's hillside home.
"I am Mr. Ceasefire and I got caught up in a situation and I am not here to point fingers and blame nobody," Hardiman said. "The verdict is still out. I can't really speak about the case. Things happen for a reason and liberation comes in many forms."
Funny how batterers always think they have good reason to abuse their spouse. But before you can abuse someone physically weaker, you must first disarm them. Because guns are a great equalizer.
If anti-gun advocates take advantage of an unarmed spouse as Mr. Hardiman did, it makes one wonder what the greater agenda is. Gun control isn't for a non-violent world as Hardiman claims. He's proven that in his own little private world.
Gun control is to prevent citizens from fighting back. It's about the abusers maintaining control of their victims. It's about keeping an unfair advantage.

IRS Official's Lawyer: Lois Lerner Will Plead The Fifth Before The House Oversight Committee Hearing
[ZIP]WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Her lawyer wants her excused from the hearing so as not to embarrass and burden her
Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd.
Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday
[LA Times]Taylor, a criminal defense attorney from the Washington firm of Zuckerman Spaeder, said that the Department of Justice has launched a criminal investigation, and that the House committee has asked Lerner to explain why she provided “false or misleading information” to the committee four times last year.Boo frickin hoo, make her plead the Fifth for all to see.
Since Lerner won’t answer questions, Taylor asked that she be excused from appearing, saying that would “have no purpose other than to embarrass or burden her.” There was no immediate word whether the committee will grant her request.
Watch the dems try to turn this into a 'war on women' thingy like they did with Susan Rice's Benghazi clusterfruck on the Sunday talk shows.

International Red Cross Plants Trees To Honor Pali Terrorists
In a ceremony celebrating its 150th anniversary, the International Red Cross together with the Palestinian Red Crescent planted 150 trees bearing the names of "veteran prisoners." The Palestinian Authority uses the term "veteran prisoners" to refer to those who have been in jail the longest, and in most cases are serving life sentences for murder or multiple murders. Giorgio Ferrario, representative of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, participated in this ceremony honoring terrorists, which was named "My Honor is My Freedom."Words escape me, oh wait. Did you hear about Newseum wanting to honor two Hamas terrorists, which they called 'journalists', alongside memorializing others such as Daniel Pearl?
Palestinian Media Watch recently reported that Issa Abd Rabbo, who shot and murdered two university students hiking near Jerusalem, was referred to as a "veteran prisoner." Abd Rabbo was recently honored by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. (See below - names of more murderers serving life sentences referred to by the PA as "veteran prisoners.")
The Palestinian Red Crescent's website writes that its "programs, projects and events" are funded by the International Red Cross:
A Washington D.C.-based journalism museum announced just moments before the start of a memorial service for slain reporters that it would not honor two Hamas terrorists as originally scheduled. At least they did the right thing but it shows the scope of those who fall for Pallywood productions.
The Newseum made the announcement just minutes before the induction of several new reporters into its Journalist Memorial, which honors members of the media who have been killed in the line of duty.
“Serious questions have been raised as to whether two of the individuals included on our initial list of journalists who died covering the news this past year were truly journalists or whether they were engaged in terrorist activities,” the museum said in a statement posted to its website.

Why Are Two Chicago Teachers Union [CTU] Thugs Concerned With Penis Sizes?
Jeremy Segal [aka Rebel Pundit] was assaulted covering the CTU march against school closures.
By Steve Gunn"Penis size"?
CHICAGO – The Chicago Teachers Union and the Chicago Police Department were obviously working in tandem last Wednesday, and EAGnews reporter Jeremy Segal was an unwanted party crasher.
Why else would the police arrest two union supporters for allegedly assaulting Segal during a union protest, then turn around and let them go without pursuing charges?
Segal was in Chicago Wednesday to film and interview protesters participating in a downtown rally against the planned closing of 54 public schools.
The rally was sponsored by the radical Chicago Teachers Union. Segal spent part of his time interviewing CTU President Karen Lewis, who stood mute for most of his questions, and the Rev. Jesse Jackson, who answered a few.
A while after his first encounter with Lewis and Jackson, Segal noticed a banner at the head the protest march representing the International Socialist Organization. He returned to where Lewis and Jackson were walking together, hoping to ask Jackson a question about the propriety of protesting with socialists[...]
Despite the obvious injustice of the incident, Segal said he probably will not pursue the matter any further.
“I wasn’t planning on it,” he said. “They didn’t hurt me. But I do think they infringed on my rights. They infringed on my First Amendment right to conduct my business. Jesse Jackson and Karen Lewis never told me to stop asking questions. None of their handlers or staff asked me to stop asking questions. If they felt I was in the wrong, they would have gone to the police to get rid of me.
“Instead they put the union muscle on me.”
Lame and childish and just think, these people teach children.

Good News! FLOTUS & John Kerry To Honor Anti-Semite & 9/11 Fan
Update: State Dept 'Looking Into It'..
Update: State Dept Scrubs Samira Ibrahim's Bio
On Friday March 8, Michelle Obama will join John Kerry at a special ceremony at the State Department to present ten women the Secretary of State’s International Women of Courage Award....[...]Dear FLOTUS & John Kerry: Google translate is your best friend, use it.
Samira Ibrahim, as the State Department’s profile describes her, “was among seven women subjected by the Egyptian military to forced virginity tests in March 2011.” The press release further notes that Samira “was arrested while in high school for writing a paper that criticized Arab leaders’ insincere support to the Palestinian cause.” Apparently, the State Department is unaware of her other convictions.
On Twitter, Ibrahim is quite blunt regarding her views. On July 18 of last year, after five Israeli tourists and a Bulgarian bus driver were killed a suicide bombing attack, Ibrahim jubilantly tweeted: “An explosion on a bus carrying Israelis in Burgas airport in Bulgaria on the Black Sea. Today is a very sweet day with a lot of very sweet news.”[...]
Ibrahim holds other repellent views as well. As a mob was attacking the United States embassy in Cairo on the eleventh anniversary of 9/11, pulling down the American flag and raising the flag of Al Qaeda, Ibrahim wrote on twitter: “Today is the anniversary of 9/11. May every year come with America burning.” Possibly fearing the consequences of her tweet, she deleted it a couple of hours later, but not before a screen shot was saved by an Egyptian activist.
Just today, apparently after having warned that her vicious tweets might cause her trouble during her visit to the U.S., she has written on twitter: “My account has been previously stolen and any tweet on racism and hatred is not me.” However, in the past she never made any mention of her account being “stolen.” The record of her anti-Semitic tweets is still available online.
Thanks to Matthew Levitt
Update: It was noted that interns at the US Embassy in Cairo nominated her. You may recall these tweets (since deleted) when our Embassy was attacked:
We condemn the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims— US Embassy Cairo (@USEmbassyCairo) September 11, 2012
We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.— US Embassy Cairo (@USEmbassyCairo) September 11, 2012
Update: State Dept will investigate her tweets or something. State Dept Defers Award to Samira Ibrahim
Update II: The State Department has scrubbed her bio from their website. I guess they used Google translate or something.

We Get Press: "Vigilante racist website" Behind Government Conspiracy to Arrest Innocent Muslims and Occupiers
Thanks to (someone) for pointing out this article from the "Salem News Channel" claiming that convicted terrorist Ziyad Yaghi is an innocent patsy in the global war against Muslims.
The "news" website seems more like an amateurish blog than an actual news website. But, whatevs, it does have some entertainment value. I especially like the part where we're accused of being "racist". Racist: I do not think that word means what you think it means:
4) Although Ziyad Yaghi's Facebook profile is set to private, a vigilante racist web blog titled the Jawa Report posted screenshots and photos of Ziyad Yaghi's Facebook account. The Jawa Report has a long history of working alongside media establishments and the US government in arresting and prosecuting suspected terrorists. The YouTube account of The Jawa Report indicates the author has an antipathy toward all Muslims, Palestinians, the Occupy Movement, and anyone that challenges the US and Israeli government status quos and foreign policies.I don't know where to begin with this. Part of it is funny, part of it is ludicrous, part of it is offensive.
We believe that the Jawa Report was the conduit for what many suspected the US government was doing with Virginian Brandon Raub's Facebook account, the former Iraqi War veteran who was arrested by the US government for inflammatory yet patriotic Facebook posts, which is we believe the Jawa Report was spying on Facebook accounts like Ziyad Yaghi's on behest or in corroboration with the US government.
First, let me address the charge of being a racist. That's an offensive accusation.
1) Any one who's read the blog for more than a week knows that I regularly ban racists. Me not banning racists from the comments should be read as lazy and doesn't read his own comments rather than approves of racist comments.
2) Islam is not a race, it's a belief system. If you think being against sharia, violent Islamism, or being pro-US is somehow being racist -- you are a moron.
3) I do not hate Muslims nor do I believe that Islam inevitably requires Muslims to engage in acts of violence nor oppression. However, this does not mean that I think all religions are the same. Nor do I think that adherents of political violence are necessarily outside of historically orthodox Islam.
4) I do believe there is something kinda-sorta akin to racism against Muslims called Islamophobia, but like the term racism the accusation that people are Islamophobes is so overused as to make the accusation almost meaningless.
Moreover, criticism of orthodox or historical Islamic beliefs are not Islamophobic in and of themselves. Most of what passes for "Islamophobia" in the popular press is actually legitimate criticism of heretofore mainstream Sunni teachings, such as the teaching that apostasy from Islam should be illegal or that criticisms of Islam's prophet Muhammad ought to outlawed.
Jumping to the conclusion that someone is guilty of some crime by virtue of being a Muslim is certainly a sign of Islamophobia. However, there is a corollary to that which has not been named and of which many Muslims are equally guilty of -- jumping to the conclusion that Muslim is innocent simply by virtue of being a Muslim.
If Islamophobia is real but rare, then I am convinced that this opposite corollary is also real. For every person that sees the arrest of a Muslim as evidence of a wider Muslim conspiracy against the West there is a person who sees that same arrest as evidence of a conspiracy by the West against Muslims. I don't have the statistics to back this up, just anecdotal evidence, but I'm inclined to believe that the latter is far more prevalent than the former if we were to measure either group as a proportion of Americans in general in the one case and of Muslims and Occupy activists in the other case. In other words, Muslims and Occupiers are far more likely to see a conspiracy against Muslims by the US than Americans in general are to see a Muslim conspiracy by American Muslims against the US.
As to the accusation that my YouTube account is evidence that I have "antipathy toward all Muslims" & "Palestinians" the author here is either stupid or a liar. At the top of my uploaded videos list are a "Deuce 4 Stryker Brigade" tribute, a video of the New Black Panther Party calling for the murder of a cartoonist, a video of Sarah Palin in a swimsuit competition. Or perhaps it's the Freedom Journal videos that the author finds offensive? Or Scarlett Johansson visiting the troops?
Unless, of course, he thinks al Qaeda represents the version of Islam he believes in. Then, guilty as charged as I do have a funny Happy Chanukah from the al Qaeda dancers video up.
You know, really offensive stuff there!
As to disdaining members of the Occupy movement? Also, guilty as charged. The only good hippie, is a hippie so stoned that he doesn't have the energy to take on the man.
Now, let us look at these images from Ziyad Yaghi's Facebook profile. I'm sure they offer nothing but exculpatory evidence as to Yaghi's innocence?
If ur a munafiq (hypocrite) I am a kill you
In any event, as to my role in Yaghi's prosecution let the facts be known: I had no role.
I got these images from Yaghi's Facebook account after he was arrested. Which means I found out about the rather stupid plot he was involved in to attack the Marine base at Quantico by reading the newspaper. I know, the difference between cause and effect makes my head head hurt!
As to my alleged involvement in the arrest of Brandon Raub, I had to do a Google search of it to see who he was. Never heard of him and The Jawa Report has never reported on him.
As to the rest of the author's claims that Yaghi is either not guilty of the crimes he was convicted of or that he received too harsh a penalty I have no opinion on that. I actually have no idea if he's guilty or not. I wasn't involved in the case, have no special insight, and have no information other than the public record. I wasn't, as the author alleges, a "spy" for the government.
In fact, I really wish the FBI would have let these guys attack Quantico. Eight retards vs. the Marines -- now that would be some first class entertainment!
Yes, it is true that when someone is convicted of a crime that I tend to believe they are guilty of the crime they were convicted of. I also tend to believe that the FBI doesn't go around arresting people for no reason, but that they do sometimes get it wrong.
I also believe that some people, like the author of this article, are paranoid idiots and a perfect illustration of the rhetorical convergence of Leftist and Islamist extremists.

College Student: Southern Poverty Law Center Endangered My Life
Via Coll-ege In-Sur-rec-tion:
Anna Maria Hoffman is a student who was interning at the Family Research Council when Floyd Lee Corkins entered the building with the goal of killing as many people as possible. Corkins targeted the FRC because of a “hate map” on the SPLC website.SPLC has refused to remove the FRC from their Hate Map, so it's no surprise that the MFM holds the SPLC in high esteem and frequently quotes them.
In a new post at the Counter Cultured USA blog, Miss Hoffman offers her thoughts.
Birds of a feather, so to speak.
Family Research Council shooter pleads guilty, intended to kill ‘as many as possible’
Shooting at Family Research Council UPDATE: ID'd as Floyd Corkin

Damn Right We Have the Right to Kill Americans ... IN AL QAEDA
Drudge shows he's been hanging out w/ Alex Jones again
Compare my headline to the headline over at NBC. Notice the difference? By adding three words the implications of the story change drastically.
If you tell people: Do you know that the Obama administration thinks it's okay to kill Americans without a trial?
Of course you'd be rightfully worried. The implication being that Obama believes he can kill you. Do not ask for whom the drones buzz, they buzz for thee.
However, just add three little words: Do you know that the Obama adminstration thinks it's okay to kill Americans in al Qaeda without a trial?
Kind of changes all of the implications of the story.
Except for paranoids on either fringe then who gives a damn what the nationality of the guy sitting next to Ayman al Zawahiri is? Bomb the mo-fo!
Which is why I'm getting increasingly annoyed at my friends on the right who take the headline and then run with it in paranoid fashion.
If you think it's unconstitutional or immoral to kill a member of a terrorist organization living abroad then you and I have very different readings of the Constitution and very different sets of moral standards.
Moreover, it's just basic common sense that in warfare you don't stop to ask the person you're about to shoot for a copy of their passport. Who gives a rat's ass if bin Laden was Saudi or if he was born in Colorado?
Please, go read the report. Nowhere in it is there even a smidgen of a hint that drones could be used against Americans ... in America.
The memo in question sets up a three tiered test for when it's okay to kill an American living -- and this is a direct quote from the memo -- "in a foreign country".
1) He must be an immanent threat. By immanent, we don't mean the threat is immediate. What we mean is that the person is involved in operations that will go forward unless he is killed. In other words, we don't have to wait for a suicide bomber to get on the airplane before we kill him.
2) Capture is infeasible. This means that a terrorist living in France will be treated differently than a terrorist living in Mali. The major difference being that the French police are perfectly capable (assuming they have the backbone) of arresting a suspected terrorist. In the hinterlands of Mali, not so much.
Infeasibility also does not mean impossible. Of course it's possible to capture a terrorist living in a cave in Tora Bora, but if the lives of American servicemen are put in great jeopardy, then drone the assmaggot. That's all the memo says.
If you've seen Zero Dark Thirty -- and I highly recommend it -- one of the key moments is when the protagonist, Maya, tells the SEAL Team members that they've been chosen to be "canaries in the coal mine", putting their lives at risk because the SOBs in the White House thought the political situation was too risky for a drone strike. This went counter to Maya's recommendation which was to, "Bomb the mother-f*cker".
3) The strike must be consistent with the laws of war. Which is just another way of saying we don't bomb the whole city of Abotabad just because we know bin Laden is there.
You really do need to read the whole memo. And stop with the slippery-slope arguments. There's nothing in the memo that says this Administration or any other Administration has the authority to do "extrajudicial killings" on US soil. Or on French soil. Or on English soil.
Such killings are only lawful in the context of a Congressionally authorized war against al Qaeda on the field of battle. The fact that our war against al Qaeda and allied forces is unconventional is too obvious to argue. And if you really think that we need judicial oversight on the field of battle -- which is what the ACLU is arguing in their lawsuit against the US government -- then the President ceases to be Commander-in-Chief and is unconstitutionally supplanted by the "least dangerous branch" of government.
And once the judicial branch has control over military decisions, then it ceases to be the least dangerous branch.
PS-- and we do have a control mechanism for overseeing the President's decisions. It's called an election. Where one candidate proposes that he would be a better Commander in Chief than the other candidate. In our nation's history, there has been such an election every four years -- even during times of war. Remember, Lincoln was opposed in 1864 by former General George B. McLellan based largely on the idea that he would be a better Commander in Chief than the man who fired him. Dewey vs. Roosevelt in 1944 during WWII. Humphrey vs. Nixon in 1968 during Vietnam. The list goes on and on.
If you think Obama's decisions on running the war against al Qaeda aren't good, then you had your chance to change that. It was called the election 2012 and you, and I, lost that one.
Courts are not intended to oversee Presidential decisions about war and peace. And just because we don't like -- or trust -- Obama to make the right decision, doesn't mean we should now be clamoring for judicial oversight of the most fundamental duty a President has.

Sextortion: Hacker (Karen “Gary” Kazaryan) Cornhole Watch
If convicted, he faces spending the rest of his life in the pen. This assmaggot definitely deserves to be cornholed the rest of his life:
FBI press release below fold:
FBI Arrests Glendale Man in Sextortion Case
Defendant Allegedly Coerced Young Women to Expose Themselves on the Internet
LOS ANGELES—A Glendale man accused of hacking into hundreds of Facebook, Skype, and e-mail accounts and extorting women into showing him their naked bodies was arrested today on federal computer hacking charges.
Karen “Gary” Kazaryan, 27, was arrested this morning without incident by special agents with the FBI. Kazaryan, who was named in a 30-count indictment returned last Friday by a federal grand jury, is being arraigned this afternoon in United States District Court.
According to the indictment, Kazaryan gained unauthorized access to—in other words, hacked into—the victims’ accounts and changed the passwords, which locked victims out of their own online accounts. Once he controlled the accounts, Kazaryan searched e-mails or other files for naked or semi-naked pictures of the victims, as well as other information, such as passwords and the names of their friends. Using that information, Kazaryan posed online as women, sent instant messages to their friends, and persuaded the friends to remove their clothing so that he could view and take pictures of them.
When the victims discovered that they were not speaking with their friends, Kazaryan often extorted them again, using the photos he had fraudulently obtained to again coerce the victims to remove their clothing on camera.
The indictment charges Kazaryan with 15 counts of computer intrusion and 15 counts of aggravated identity theft.
According to a search warrant executed in 2011 and unsealed today, Kazaryan repeatedly contacted victims to demand that they expose their breasts to him on Skype and used their e-mail and Facebook accounts to make contact with other victims. Kazaryan allegedly posted nude photos of some victims on their Facebook pages when they failed to comply with his demands.
Investigators estimate that Kazaryan victimized more than 350 women, but they have not identified all the victims whose accounts were hacked. Authorities found approximately 3,000 pictures of nude or semi-nude women—some of which were taken from their online accounts, and some of which were taken by Kazaryan on Skype—on Kazaryan’s computer. Anyone who believes they may have been a victim in this case should contact the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office at (310) 477-6565.
An indictment contains allegations that a defendant has committed a crime. Every defendant is presumed to be innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
If convicted on all counts, Kazaryan faces a statutory maximum penalty of 105 years in federal prison.
The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
