Some Muslims on Facebook Celebrate 9/11 with Cake

Hey, at least they're not blowing up sh*t.

Follow the link for more.

To be fair to the owners of the Facebook page, I don't think they can be held responsible for what a commenter posts. Some people have lives and don't monitor everything said on their Facebook page. Or their blogs. I'm one of those people.

And there are a few Muslims there who responded that the cake was in poor taste.

But the majority of the comments? 9/11 was an inside job. You know, to make Muslims look bad.

Because claiming 9/11 was an inside job makes Muslims look good.

Some days you want to just punch people like this in the face. Some days more than others. And today, most of all.

*I'll also note that the page is that of a group of British Muslims, but this cake was definitely not baked in the UK. Look at the 110v outlet in the background. That's North America. I'm guessing the cake and the pic are old and some kind of artistic commentary which I'm sure is lost on me. But it's the kind of thing which gets circulated for various reasons, and in this context, to literally celebrate 9/11. So, regardless of the intent of the person who took the photo (some commentary on blood for oil, Bush-Hitler, no doubt) the pic is certainly being used here as a statement of support for the 9/11 murderers.

Jordanian Journalist: The Juice & The Right Wingers Are Behind The Boston Bombing Just As They Were Behind 9/11

In an article titled "The Boston Explosions – Look For Jews" on the Jordanian website Ammon News, Palestinian-born Jordanian journalist As'ad Al-'Azouni, known for his antisemitic articles, wrote that the Jews and the "American right" were behind the recent Boston bombing, just as they had been behind the attacks of 9/11. He claimed that the bombing was meant to prevent U.S. President Barack Obama from discharging his second term in office in peace.

Al-'Azouni, several of whose articles have been translated and published by MEMRI, was recently fired from the Jordanian daily Al-Arab Al-Yawm for writing an article in which he blamed the Jews for all the wars, plots, and corruption in the world. [1] Following his dismissal, he wrote that it was MEMRI's publication of this article that had caused him to lose his job.[2]

The following are excerpts from his article on the Boston bombing:[3]

"It has been known for quite some time that the U.S. is at the epicenter of a Jewish plan to harm it by removing it from its throne as the world's only superpower – [a move that is] in accordance with the exploitative Jewish approach. [America's] fate will be no better than that of Great Britain, the womb from which Israel emerged. Nor will the Arab states that allowed the establishment of Israel be saved from the Jewish plan to annihilate them.

"Britain is the superpower that violated all laws, both natural and man-made, when it established Israel in order to rid itself of the Jews and create an English-Christian state purged of Jews. But after they grew strong in Palestine by emigrating [there], they expelled the British from Palestine, seeing [Britain] as an occupying state. And now they are destroying the Arab regimes that supported them.

"They [the Jews] made an alliance with the Nazi Hitler, who is considered to be the first Western leader who promised Palestine to them. They agreed to hand over the old and sick Jews, to be disposed of as Hitler saw fit, and in return, he allowed them to send the young Jews to Palestine. I do not know if [Hitler] did this knowingly, or was misled by the Jews, because after the war the Jews looted Germany on the grounds that Hitler had burned the Jews…

Gee, I thought Islamists wanted the world to be ruled by the Koran.

Psychological projection is Al-'Azouni best friend.

Why Obama Won't Admit that He Can't Assassinate Americans in America
UPDATE - Holder: "No Domestic Drone Strikes"

The Constitution is clear that due process must be extended to all US citizens on US soil at all times. Further, the due process clauses of both the 5th and 14th Armaments are expressly linked to killing.

"nor shall any person ... be deprived of life ... without due process of law"
-5th Amendment

"nor shall any State deprive any person of life .... without due process of law"
-14th Amendment

Why then did Rand Paul spend 15 hours yesterday on a moral rampage over the Obama Administration's refusal to answer his question over whether or not an American citizen can be killed via drone attack on US soil?

The answer is obviously no. Why then all the fuss?

It's simple: President Obama needs the controversy in order to make those opposed to him seem like they are crazy.

In effect, by not answering Rand Paul's rather simple question he is creating another birther controversy. He's attempting to make the opposition out to be extremists, and a little off kilter.

In order to understand this, recall that the Birther controversy lasted as long as it did because the White House refused to release Obama's birth certificate until his first term in office was nearly over.

We have to acknowledge that a great deal of the Birther controversy was in fact fueled by paranoid conspiracy theorists. Obama was seen by this group as somehow part of a larger Red plot to infiltrate America and take it over from the inside.

Even if that was the core constituency of Birtherism, a group that to this day won't acknowledge that Obama was born in Hawaii even after his birth certificate was released, that a much greater number were drawn into skepticism by the fact that Obama wouldn't do the one very simple thing needed to prove that he was a natural born citizen.

By not releasing his birth certificate the ranks of Birthers grew.

It would be so easy to prove that he was born in Hawaii, so why doesn't he just do it? He must be hiding something....

President Obama's strategy for winning the 2012 election was that of divide and conquer. And one of the ways you do that is to convince a portion of the American people that the opposition is filled with crazy nutjobs. This is especially effective with low information voters, some of which see voting as kind of a statement of belonging to a group.

Do you want to be part of the reality based community, or are you a crazy birther?

I see what is happening right now with Rand Paul and the Obama Administration as part of the same strategy.

Any one who has read the Holder memos on drone strikes immediately notices two things:

1) The memo overtly states that the policy applies only to the overseas killing of Americans. And it's not subtle about this.

2) The memo clearly states that the persons being killed belong to al Qaeda, a group which we are at war with. In a war, you don't go to a judge before you drop a bomb.

So, if the Obama administration never asserted the right to assassinate an American citizen on American soil, then what is all the hullabaloo over?

There is a paranoid fringe on both the Right and Left that sees a grand conspiracy in nearly everything. The "black helicopter" paranoia of the '80s and '90s have been replaced by the drone paranoia of the present decade.

Surrounding this fringe, but not part of it, are those that simply don't trust government. I count myself as part of that latter group. I don't believe in grand conspiracies, yet I do not want to give the government the tools it would need should future leaders try and oppress the American people. It could happen, even if the probability of it happening is low we should guard our liberties like precious jewels.

Since the majority of the American people have not actually read the Holder memo on drone strikes, they simply do not know that the Administration never asserted a right to assassinate Americans on US soil.

Rand Paul knows this.

What he's asking the Administration to do is prove that they don't believe something which they never claimed they believe.

I can't believe that even he believes the slippery slope argument that he's making. I'm also not sure the political game he's playing or what he thinks he'll get out of this. He's certainly getting a lot of attention and a lot of support from the Right.

Part of this support is simple partisanship. We simply like any one who is willing to stand up to Barrack Obama. Rand Paul certainly has some backbone, doesn't he?

Mostly I think this support comes from people who haven't actually read the Holder memo. We've read the headlines that a memo was released which claimed that Obama can kill American citizens. And we've heard that the Administration hasn't denied that it has this right. So .......

It's the birth certificate controversy all over again. It could be over today. All we are waiting for is for the President to deny that he has a power which he never asserted.

Instead, we get nothing.

Worse than nothing. We get Eric Holder going out on a limb and imagining a hypothetical situation where a drone strike would actually be appropriate: another 9/11.

Is that shocking? No, it's not.

Holder is simply saying what the Bush Administration said before it: that it would shoot down a hijacked plane if we thought it was going to be used as a piloted suicide missile in the same way the 9/11 attacks occurred.

There is nothing extraordinary in this. Of course the President has the right to authorize the downing of a hijacked plane! Did we learn nothing from 9/11?

Unless, of course, you believe that there is some difference between a manned airplane and an unmanned airplane -- a so-called "drone".

The difference being ...... ??? What, precisely?

I have actually followed Ryan's objections. But if you listen to them carefully all of them are hypothetical and based on faulty slippery slope argument.

If the President can kill US citizens there, what is to stop him from killing US citizens here?

We don't need a "rule" for this because the "rule" is the fundamental law of the US: the Constitution.

I saw someone today tweeted that we need a "rule of engagement" for killing people in the US. No we don't. Rules of engagement are made for war. Inside the US we are not at war.

We don't engage the enemy here, we arrest them.

And we don't need to elaborate further since both the 5th and 14th Amendment specifically address the concern.

Which is why Holder's answer is so puzzling. If the administration wanted to clear the air why didn't they just tell Sen. Ryan, "No, we can't do that"?

Isn't the answer simple? They don't want to clear the air. They want to keep this political maelstrom going. They want to distract the American people from, well, everything!

$16.5 trillion in debt.

The worst recovery in US history -- ever!

Millions of people unemployed or underemployed.

And no end in site of the economic misery. Obama's failures are simply the new normal.

But, look kids, the Republicans are so nutty!

Rand Paul may be scoring some personal political points by trying to drag this thing out for as long as possible. It may help him with several elements in the base.

But if Paul is counting on this controversy to bolster his cred, so too must the President be counting on the same thing.

Remember the short-lived Donald Trump mania last year? It's the same thing all over again. How'd that work out for us?

Betting against Obama on this is about as big a mistake as betting against a Sicilian when death is on the line. It's a mistake second only to starting a land war in China.

So, unless Ryan has been gradually building up his resistance to iocane powder over the years I'm guessing that this will work out for him about as well as it worked out for Trump.

This is how I see this thing playing out. Over the next few weeks or months, as the next budgetary "cliff" approaches, Obama will use this sideshow to distract the American people from the true state of the Union. His allies in the media will frame the issue as "Republican extremism", "antics", or crazy black drones in the skies conspiracy theories. [UPDATE: It's happening already]

A lot of low information voters will think the Republicans are weird. They don't want to be weird.

Then at some point he will go ahead and tell Rand Paul exactly what Rand Paul wants to hear: the President does not have the authority to kill US citizens in the US.

At which point he will confirm what we all knew already, but the damage will be done. You don't "un-weird" yourself overnight. Once you get that stink, it lingers.

UPDATE: Fixed a stupid mistake. Thanks to MTB.

I'll address a couple of objections in the comments.

First, from Odie Wan Kenobe:

"I just don't see the difference between sniping a confederate from a balloon or tree as much different that a drone strike. Or say an ATF raid in WACO."

The ATF isn't the military. They're law enforcement. We can debate the merits of Waco some other time, but worst case scenario that was a case of law enforcement officers jumping the gun with a guy who was resisting arrest and a lot of innocent people dying.

The key element here being resisting arrest.

No one was on a kill list. The ATF had a subpoena for arrest. So there's no comparison here. Nor with the Civil War which was a state of insurrection, which is also addressed specifically in the US Consitution Art. 1, sec. 8, authorizing Congress, "To provide for calling forth the Militia to ... suppress Insurrections"

Tim notes that I am contradicting myself in saying the President has the right to down a hijacked plane but that we don't need a rule of engagement.

I don't think so. Here's why.

The rules of engagement are made by command so that soldiers down the line have a decision rule as to when it is ok to engage the enemy and when it is not.

In the 9/11 hypothetical I don't think the call would be the soldier's to make. The President himself (or herself) would have to make the call to shoot down a plane over US territory should it be on the way to ram itself in, say, The Sears Tower.

So, since the decision to strike isn't the soldier's to make (whether a drone pilot or an F-22 pilot) they don't need a decision rule to help them decide.

If you call that a rule of engagement, then we're just arguing semantics. If you want to call it a "rule" or whatever, I'll cede the point. As long as we both agree that the decision to use military force in the US is a) the President's alone if and when the threat is immanent and there is no time to call Congress before the decision can be made.

UPDATE: I was wrong. Holder didn't let this fester. I was expecting this weeks from now at the earliest:

Dear Senator Paul:

It has come to my attention that you have now asked an additional question: "Does the President have the authority to use a weaponized drone to kill an American not engaged in combat on American soil?" The answer to that question is no.

Eric Holder

Out: Birthers - In: Ringers (Updated & Bumped)

UPDATE: It appears this conspiracy is busted!

New hi-res image:

(Thanks, Pierre!)

My bullshit detector is crying: Bullshit. Severe and utter bullshit.

The thing about human nature is this: when you want to believe something bad enough then you start seeing everything as "evidence" of the thing you want to believe.

For instance, that Barack Obama is a super-secret Muslim. Is it any wonder that the source of this startling "revelation" is WND -- the same people who even after Obama released his birth certificate continued to claim -- and claim to this day! -- that it's a forgery?

It's the same mindset that gave us 9/11 Trutherism. No matter how much evidence to the contrary, there are millions of people who believe that 9/11 was an "inside job". Why? Because they want to believe that it was an inside job.

Okay, so let's look at the "evidence" that Obama's ring has Arabic script on it which reads, "There is no God but God".

Here are the images that WND uses that show the first part of the Shahada. The image is exactly as published on WND, only shrunk to 70% of size to fit on our pages a little better.

Do you see what WND is doing? They've taken a very grainy photo and overlayed it with the Arabic script in such a way as to suggest to the reader what they should be seeing. And because it's not clear what we are seeing, the mind's natural tendency is to see the thing suggested.

It's a common trick. A simple optical illusion. See this page for similar examples. Such optical illusions are amplified when a suggestion is made to the observer as to what they are supposed to see.

In the example above of Obama's ring, the script is overlayed in such a way as to suggest to the observer what ought to be seen.

Further, notice that the first image of the ring in the upper right hand corner labeled "original" isn't in fact the original. Instead, someone at WND blacked out parts of the ring that they didn't want the observer to see. The actual original is the one in the lower right corner.

This actually makes a big difference in the second "but God" script inasmuch as what appears to be a simple gap from the change of one design to another design in the ring is used as part of the script.

Here are the two actual original photos, but with no suggestive outlines.

But let me make another suggestion and see if the script I suggest below is as plausible or more plausible than the one suggested by WND. I've taken the original photos -- back to 100% zoom this time. Unlike the WND "analysis", notice that I compare both original photos, including the side angle photo they published but which they -- conveniently -- didn't use when they "found" the alleged Arabic script.

As you look at my alternate design, think about the power of suggestion on the way we see things that aren't clear. Also, please excuse the shaky outline of my analysis. I'm doing this in my spare time and, to be honest, I never did have much of a steady hand. I also blew the image up to 300% in order to see if I was missing anything, and then reshrunk the image back to the original WND size. This explains why the commentary I overlayed is a little fuzzy.

What I'm suggesting is that this is nothing more than a grainy photo of a ring with a simple pattern on it and since the people at WND already believe that Obama is a Muslim, they are seeing patterns in the ring that aren't there.

Further, the un-named Duke Arabic expert was probably shown the WND image with the text. That is, he was given the very images published by WND but which were manipulated in such a way as to lead whoever is seeing them into seeing what WND wanted them to see.

As a Ph.D. myself, I can readily attest to the fact that we are every bit as human as any one else.

But before you say, "Rusty, he's an expert!" let me remind all of you about the experts in academia constantly telling us that global warming is about to destroy everything. Even experts can be mislead.

I'll also note that the only expert willing to go on the record for the Blaze's story:

While the Duke scholar seemed certain of the Arabic script present on the ring, Harvard University’s Dr. Ali Asani, a professor of Indo-Muslim and Islamic Religion and Cultures, told TheBlaze that the images of Obama’s ring were not clear enough to make a determination.

I’d actually have to see it much closer to see exactly what it says,” Asani said.

I agree. But only if it says anything at all. It doesn't look, to me, like it says anything.

Why Is The Obama Administration Defending Terrorist Supporting, 9/11 Truther MPAC's Salam al-Marayati?

Is it any wonder Ft Hood attack happened? Or Benghazi? Or the military brass blacklisting of radical Islam course instructor **Lt. Col Matthew Dooley?

Via Free Beacon

Jewish leaders expressed outrage Friday over the State Department’s praise for, and defense of, a controversial Muslim leader who has defended terrorist groups and suggested that Israel may have been responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Salam al-Marayati, founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), was picked to represent the United States government at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s (OSCE) annual 10-day human rights conference, the Human Dimension Implementation Meetings (HDIM).

Al-Marayati’s well-known anti-Israel bona fides prompted Jewish leaders and others to express outrage over the Obama administration’s selection.

“It is regrettable that someone with such distorted, conspiratorial views—even with a lackluster apology—is delegated by our government to represent our country abroad,” the Anti-Defamation League said in a statement to the Free Beacon.

Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, argued that the State Department is showing inconsistency by touting an individual who has defended the militant groups Hezbollah and Hamas, both of which are designated by the U.S. as terrorist organizations[...]

Josh Block, a former Clinton administration official who now serves as CEO of The Israel Project, said the State Department’s defense of al-Marayati lacks credibility.

“That statement, defending a person who is clearly a terrorist sympathizer and deeply hostile to Israel, calls into question the credibility of the person who gave it, and it raises a very serious question: What exactly is the U.S. government saying here?” Block asked.

His twitter account is not very active but he did RT this from MPAC, hence the ** above:

Terror front MPAC trains 2,200 TSA workers in special screening rules for Muslims at LAX

Salam al-Marayati went on Los Angeles radio claiming that Israel was behind the terror attacks. CAMERA has a list of al-Marayati's greatest hits.

In a profile of Marayati at the Investigative Project we discover that MPAC not only has urged removing Hezbollah and Hamas from US terrorist lists, but openly defended the Hezbollah suicide bombing in Beirut in 1983, which killed 241 US service members:

The Investigative Project has an extensive profile of MPAC.[PDF]

Arabic Wikipedia Pretty Much What You'd Expect

Scott emailed me a few links to the Arabic version of Wikipedia. And, yeah, it's about what you'd expect.

For instance, the 9/11 page is full of trutherism:

And a few pictures continue to show that there is explosive material ejected from the towers and cement crushed and pieces of steel columns was cast in the early stages of collapse. Images of the south tower showed clear links to the bombings and exit of lava on the building and under the place of the breaking point just as if the bomb like explosions of volcanoes. The ballistics of the multitude, which shows that this explosion was inside the building.
It goes on and on like that for four paragraphs.

The point? Let's just say I'm not so optimistic about Arab "democracy".

IPT: Ground Zero mosque official is 9/11 Truther, sits on board for 9/11 Truth org

The Investigative Project has published new information about Faiz Khan and his statements claiming that Muslims weren't behind the 9/11 attacks remembered this past weekend:

In his interview with CNN's Soledad O'Brien on Wednesday, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf defended his plans to build a mosque and Islamic center near Ground Zero, saying "You cannot heal a trauma by walking away from it. We have to sit down. We have to talk about it. We have to dialogue about it and find a way to move through it and beyond it."

But a trove of videos and writings available on the Internet shows that a longtime partner of Rauf believes the 9/11 terror attacks were "an inside job" by U.S. government and corporate interests, the Investigative Project on Terrorism found.

Faiz Khan, a physician who claims to have been a first responder after the September 11 attacks, is a founding member of the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance for 9/11 Truth and is on the advisory board of the Muslims for 9/11 Truth. In an essay on the Alliance's website, he argued that "the prime factor for the success of the criminal mission known as 9/11 did not come from the quarter known as 'militant Islam' although the phenomenon known as 'militant Islamic networks' may have played a partial role, or even a less than partial role - perhaps the role of patsy and scapegoat."

In speeches, Khan says people in the Third World, where the "sleaze of governance" is more of a given, few people question whether 9/11 was an inside job.

Yes, because it's the Third World that we want to be taking our cues from. Read it all.

Ground Zero Imam Equivocates al Qaeda and the US

Wow, just wow.

Once again, this is not evidence that Rauf is an extremist wolf in moderate sheep's clothing. For Muslims, the idea that US foreign policy is hostile to Muslims and that Americans don't care about the deaths of innocents is widely held. By definition, this makes Rauf's opinion mainstream in most majority Muslim countries.

On other issues, Rauf would be considered quite liberal in the Muslim community.

But to equivocate between the intentional killing of civilians by al Qaeda and the unintended killing of civilians by the US is worse than wrong -- it is evil.

Yes, we kill civilians sometimes. That is truly one of the many sad realities of warfare.

When al Qaeda kills civilians they not only do it intentionally, but they also celebrate it.

No one in the West praises the Predator drone operator who accidentally blows up a wedding party. We think of such acts as the regrettable but inevitable outcome of war.

But in many parts of the Muslim world "The Magnificient 19" -- the men who carried out the 9/11 attacks -- are praised as heroes and martyrs.

I heard someone on the radio today (Hannity or Rush?) make a good point about this. He mentioned that Rauf's equivocation seemed very much in line with Rev. Jeremiah Wright's theory of America. Which may be why Obama's State Department has no problem with paying for this guy to go on a goodwill mission to the Muslim world. If these are the kinds of speeches he has been delivering, then of course they will like what he is saying!

Let me add that the SOB still has a right to build a mosque wherever the hell he wants. Even the Nazis have that right.

Our responsibility is not to block the building of the mosque. It is to speak the truth, even if it hurts the feelings of some on the Left and of Muslims.

On this issue Pam has done a stellar job at digging into the imam's background. But I would warn her that she is being inconsistent when she claims that she does not want the government to intervene in the case.

What do you call a zoning commission other than a government agency? That is government by definition. If you wanted a zoning commission to stop the building of the mosque, you are asking a government agency to intervene! It's really not that complicated.

Also, I don't take some of what Rauf is saying as that offensive. It doesn't sound to me like he's questioning al Qaeda's role in the Madrid and London bombings. It just sounds poorly worded to me. But I could be wrong on that.

And the N word doesn't really offend my sensibilities, as long as it it used to connote something negative about those saying it (ie, that those who created artificial categories of race by assigning that word to black people are wrong).

But the stuff on 9/11 and US killings of civilians? I don't see how you could take that any other way. Rauf clearly holds some very troubling views on the country he allegedly loves (ie, us).

Anyway, good job on digging this up! Has any one seen the videos or audios promised by Steve Emmerson yet? Apparently, this is only the tip of the iceberg.

Birthers To Start Investing in Soap on a Rope

Hey Lt. Col. Terry Lakin, watch out for the cornhole buddy:

U.S. military officials tell NBC News that the U.S. Army will court martial a lieutenant colonel who refuses to deploy to Afghanistan because he considers orders from President Obama to be "illegal."

Army doctor Lt. Col. Terry Lakin believes Obama does not meet the constitutional requirements to be president and commander-in-chief, because he believes (incorrectly) that Obama wasn't born in the United States.

Which just goes to show that in an organization as large as the US military, you are bound to get a few nuts in the ranks. It's the law of averages.

One wonders if Lakin displayed any signs of mental illness in the past but the military powers that be overlooked them because they really need doctors? Kind of like they did with Nidal Hasan and his public flirtations with violent jihadism.

Who Does Rosie O'Donnell, Alex Jones & Other 9/11 Truthers Have In Common With?

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday called the September 11 attacks on the United States a "big fabrication" that was used to justify the US war on terrorism, the official IRNA news agency reported.

Ahmadinejad, who often rails against the West and Israel, made the comment in a meeting with Intelligence Ministry personnel.

It came amid escalating tension in the long-running dispute between Iran and the West over Tehran's nuclear program, with the United States pushing for new UN sanctions against the major oil producer.

Ahmadinejad described the destruction of the twin towers in New York on September 11, 2001 as a "complicated intelligence scenario and act," IRNA reported.

Threw in a pic of his best buddy Hugo for good measure.

Twoofers must be so proud Ahmadinejad is among them.

Van Jones RESIGNS!!!

Waited until midnight on a holiday weekend while the country slept to toss Mr. Jones under that famous bus....only 30 more czars to go.

President Barack Obama's adviser Van Jones has resigned amid controversy over past inflammatory statements, the White House said early Sunday.said early Sunday.

Jones, an administration official specializing in environmentally friendly "green jobs" with the White House Council on Environmental Quality was linked to efforts suggesting a government role in the 2001 terror attacks and to derogatory comments about Republicans.

Update: Van Jones calls us pointing out his past statements <" a vicious smear campaign against me,"

"On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me," Jones, special adviser for green jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, said in a statement announcing his resignation just after midnight Saturday. "They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide."

He continued: "I have been inundated with calls -- from across the political spectrum -- urging me to 'stay and fight.' But I came here to fight for others, not for myself. I cannot in good conscience ask my colleagues to expend precious time and energy defending or explaining my past. We need all hands on deck, fighting for the future."

Lets be clear the only reason he resigned is someone in the White House focused grouped him and the numbers were so bad.....he had to go under the bus.

Lets give Gateway Pundit a big thank you he lead this fight.

On to the next one.

Update 2 (Barbarossa): This deserves some graphic action.

Van Jones Caught on Organizing Committee of 9-11 Truther 2002

Nice catch here by Gateway Pundit. There's no denying it now - this guy wasn't just a Truther - he was one of the early advocates of this whole mental illness called 9-11 Trutherism, and he kept his toes in it for years. And he's going on record denying that he had any idea what was going on here.

He's either a buffoonish moron without three brain cells to rub together, or he's a 9-11 Truther loonbat. Either way, he's got to go, Barry.

Unfortunately for Van Jones and Obama, this was much worse than initially thought - this promo for a SF march to support an investigation into 9-11 (with the presumption that it was a false flag attack used to justify war) that GP dug up was from only FOUR MONTHS AFTER 9-11, where the rubble was literally still smoking.

And Van Jones - Obama's Green Jobs Czar - was organizing and promoting 9-11 conspiracy theories publicly and openly. Now, this piece of garbage has the ear of the President of the United States.

Obama Green Jobs "Czar" a 9/11 Conspiracy Nut? [UPDATED]

Is Van Jones, President Obama's "Green Jobs Czar" a 9/11 Truther? Looks like it:

To give him the benefit of the doubt, it could be that someone else signed Van Jones up for the statement. But it seems right in line with his radicalism -- including his membership in one of the most radical Marxist organizations in the US.

Right: Van Jones with Obama. van_jones_obama.jpg

He claims to have "evolved" from hardcore communist in the early to mid-1990s to "revolutionary eco-capitalist" -- whatever the hell that means -- in the late 1990s.

One wonders if he has "evolved" enough to reject the 9/11 conspiracies which claim that the US government were behind the attacks now that he is part of the US government?

Remember, this statement with Van Jones' name on it came out in 2004. Perhaps now that Bush-Hitler isn't in power, the 9/11 conspiracy narrative no longer serves Jones' purposes?

Whether he has "changed" or not, this is pretty outrageous. Even in Obama's circle of friends where adherence to communism might be considered a quirky yet respectable position, I can't fathom that Trutherism would be socially acceptable.

I can't say I'm the biggest Glenn Beck fan -- nothing personal, I don't watch any of the talk shows on any of the "news" networks; I just don't like the format -- but of late CJ has been on a crusade against Beck, characterizing him as some sort of nut because Beck has been using some pretty out there language (I am told) to characterize Obama's "czars" as radicals.

Jones already admits he was a radical Marxist. If also turns out that as recently as 5 years ago he was a 9/11 Truther, I wonder if CJ will have to rethink his Glenn Beck is a nut position?

Gateway Pundit has more. Thanks to Mongol.

PS- I just sat down at the computer after teaching a riveting (IMHO) lecture on the allegory of the cave, so I haven't checked out anything beyond Jim Hoft's post yet. Expect updates.

UPDATE: Mongol is following up on this better than I am, so I'll just go ahead and put his comments into the body of the post as an update:

"To give him the benefit of the doubt, it could be that someone else signed Van Jones up for the statement."

That was one of my earlier thought too, but look at the following:
Remember my false alarm about scrubbing? Well what I found out was that Rachel Ehrenfeld, Ph.D. used to be #28 there. She's no longer on the list. Reason being she asked to be removed and after multiple requests she was finally removed in late July 2007. Whether she believed it or was signed up for the list by someone else aside, she was removed after she asked.

This brings me to the following two very ugly alternatives.
1) VJ didn't know about it and was signed up for the list by someone else. But if that's the case, can someone please explain to me how did the VETTER-IN-CHIEF miss it? And if they didn't miss it why they haven't requested it to be removed?

2) VJ did sign up for the list himself, which makes him a TRUTHER (really no huge suprise from my side as anyone who subscribes to commie philosophy doesn't have everyone home). Which brings up the question once again. If the WH knew and did nothing, what does it tell about WH? and if they didn't know, what does it say about their competence? What in this latter case to prevent a foreign agent (including Al Qaeda) from penetrating our executive branch?

Any way you look at it, this is really bad. All right scratch that, it's plain horrible.
Good questions.

And no, there’s no chance that he was mistakenly added to the list.
Thrown under the bus in 4 ... 3 .... 2 ...

Adam Gadahn / Yousef al-Khattab's Secret Blown Wide Open by 9/11 Truthers

Watch and laugh at your own risk, people. These nutjobs actually believe the Jews were really behind 9/11. And they vote. Seems more like scary to me than funny.

Anyway, think of that as you try not to chuckle at the overuse of the phrase "so-called". It's as if throwing out "so-called" before you state any number of facts is some kind of deep seeded analysis. Also scary-funny? The inflection in his voice when saying that these videos were meant to make al Qaeda "look really bad".

Also making al Qaeda look really bad? 9/11.

But I'm sure not a single reader of this blog knew that Adam Pearlman Gadahn or Joseph Cohen Yousef al-Khattab were formerly Jews.

Gasp!! Horror!!

The hidden hand of the Jew, once more revealed.

That's a deep dark hidden secret that was finally revealed today by the same crew that brought you Loose Change.

9/11 Truthers Meet The Birth Certificate Brigade

From Andrew Walden@FPM

“The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.” – Saul Alinsky

For years, the "9/11 Truth" movement -- which claimed George W. Bush knew about, or even perpetrated, the 9/11 attack -- enjoyed a friendly home in the far-Left's netroots. As the netroots consolidated their grip on the Democratic Party, "troothers"were left behind. Now, many of the same personalities are behind a movement demanding to see Barack Obama's birth certificate, a coalition in which a surprising group of leftists rub elbows with LaRouchies, Klansmen, Holocaust deniers, and discredited conspiracy theorists of all stripes.

After years of quietly tolerating the troothers in their ranks, Democrats changed tack as the 2008 election season began. On October 19, 2007, Democrat Bill Maher chose to take demonstrative action -- famously launching himself at a gaggle of troothers heckling from the audience of his TV show shouting “out, out, out!” Four days later Bill Clinton challenged troother hecklers, saying, “An inside job? How dare you. How dare you. It was not an inside job.”

Their twin demonstrations worked as intended. Troothers walked away from the Democrats and went to the presidential campaign most friendly to them—that of Texas Republican Ron Paul. (An October 20 article posted on InfoWars even denounced Maher as “an apologist and advocate for the criminal cabal.”) With two short strokes the Democrats not only removed an albatross from their neck but hung it on the other party.

More below the fold:

It didn’t take long for the word to get to the troother rank-and-file. As if ordered by Clinton and Maher, Pennsylvania Democrat Phil Berg, a former deputy attorney general, dismantled his website in October 2007. (It is now available only on the Wayback machine.) Berg is now a leading Obama ‘birther’ who has filed several bogus lawsuits challenging Obama’s eligibility even as he quietly pursues conspiracy-related 9/11 litigation.
Excellent article, be sure to read it all. Birthers, it should be mandatory reading for you. Know your enemies..

Update: I am not trying to diss anyone, just linking to a article I felt worth a read. It is up to you if you want to believe the birth thing, but remember 9/11 troofers have joined you in this.

This is the last I will say on this subject.

BERLIN -- A Dutch TV jury has found Osama bin Laden not guilty of the Sept. 11 attacks.

In the conclusion Wednesday night to the show "Devil's Advocate" on Dutch public broadcaster Nederland 2, the jury of two men and three women, along with the studio audience, ruled there was no proof bin Laden was the mastermind behind the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in 2001.

The show features star defense attorney Gerard Spong standing up for some of the world's worst criminals.(Also note, Spong is supporting legal action against Geert Wilders)

Berkeley Anti-Marine Protests Causes Local Company To Relocate

Daily Californian

A software company in Downtown Berkeley has announced it will be relocating outside of the city, citing what they claim is a "non-response" to crime by Berkeley police officers, who are forced instead to deal with protests at the Marine recruiting center.

Avontus Software, which has been based in Berkeley for more than a year, is one of many businesses affected by anti-war protests surrounding the recruiting center.

The city's decision to support Code Pink and other anti-war groups protesting the center by granting noise and parking permits has been detrimental to the business climate, according to Brian Webb, Avontus Software chief executive officer.

"All they're doing is giving our city negative press-they're removing our businesses," Webb said. "I actually have had to remove our address from our Web site because we received negative feedback from our customers about being here."

Webb's complaint is one of many the city has received about demonstrations disrupting business Downtown.

Hmmm, the Berkeley City Council must be "proud" of themselves supporting the Code Pink crowd instead of their local businesses. Frankly, they need to get their heads out of their arses.

Berkeley Anti-Marine Protesters Claim Abuse By Berkeley PD

From LGF link thingy

Berkeley protesters are accusing the Berkeley Police Deptartment of abusing them during protests. I bet the Berkeley PD would love to do that but are civil in their dealings with these moonbats.

Code Pink, The World Can't Wait, and Berkeley Cop Watch attended a Berkeley Police Review Commission meeting without representation from the police department...naturally!

East Bay Express

Antiwar protesters lambasted the Berkeley Police Department — accusing officers of knocking them down and stomping them, among other things — at last night's Berkeley Police Review Commission meeting to review a petition regarding police crowd control tactics allegedly used last month on said protesters outside the downtown U.S. Marine Corps recruitment office.

Representatives from World Can't Wait, Code Pink, and Berkeley Copwatch talked and showed video clips of demonstrations. The BPD went unrepresented.

A series of protesters took the mic. One lamented "belligerent riot squads who use batons and arrests ... to silence political speech." Another claimed that "the Berkeley Police Department has committed acts of violence that ... create a climate of fear." Another described "a very marked escalation of hostility and physical violence on the part of the Berkeley Police Department" against people protesting "this disastrous, immoral, criminal war."

A Code Pink member described her group as "risking our lives" by protesting, because "there are people willing to kill to get what they want."

"Risking their lives" my arse. As stated further in the article the protesters encourage high school students to attend the rallies. Now get this...the protest groups stand behind the students. Kinda reminds me of human shields Hamas and other terrorist groups use. Cowards all of them.

Berkeley Independent School District Spokesman had this to say about one of the groups:

Interviewed yesterday, Berkeley Unified School District spokesman Mark Coplan voiced a different take on this. He has nothing against antiwar protests in general and attends them often, but he says World Can't Wait "just want to create disruption, to incite some type of negative response from police officers or other authorities." He says World Can't Wait regularly tries to make inroads at BHS, but are prohibited because "we will never be able to work with a group that encourages kids to walk out of classes."

World Can't Wait, Coplan says, actively advocates truancy among kids who are "fourteen, fifteen - literally babies," by giving them free logo shirts and bandannas and "getting them to hang out [at protests] all day. World Can't Wait thrives on those young kids, whom they use, telling them to line up against the cops, telling them, ‘The cops can't make you move. You have rights.'"

Maybe the next thing on the agenda for these groups is get the teenagers to do the Heil Hitler or Nazi salute?

KTVU Baysider has videos of the protests. I will have to hand it to the BPD, I wouldn't have stayed as level headed as they did.

Muslim Leftist Celebrates Malcolm X's Legacy at Islamic Center of Charlotte, NC

The Charlotte, North Carolina Chapter of Action Center for Justice" is promoting a "Malcolm X: The Man, The Times, The Legacy--Charlotte" event. The event will be held at the Islamic Center at Charlotte, NC and hosted by Ahmad Daniel, a Muslim who melds Islam with leftist ideology.

The "Action Center for Justice" [ACFJ] website is full of anti-war propaganda. It boasts the likes of radicals such as Cindi Sheehan, Al-Awda, Palestine Right to Return Coalition, Code Pink, & World Can't Wait to name a few.

ACFJ has a "Free Mumia Abu-Jamal campaign". Abu-Jamal brutally murdered a Philadelphia Policemen. They also feature: "Stop Israeli Occupation", "US out of Pakistan", yada yada yada.

Their biggest campaign appears to be the "Impeach Bush and Cheney" movement. They mention the Gathering of Eagles, but call the patriotic group of veterans a "Flock of Shit". They have "exposed" the group claiming (rightly):

"Pro War Eagles tied to the Republican Party & Conservative media".
Shocka! They include an article by Michelle Malkin to further prove their point...LOL. Move America Forward, Rolling Thunder and others just add to their "exposure" of this group. I guess to these leftists, American Patriots don't belong in America?

To cut to the chase, isn't it wonderful that they are announcing a program by Muslim Ahmad Daniels who appears to share their ideals and is ready to share with the Muslims at the Islamic Center in Charlotte?

Ahmad Daniel created Creative Interchange. "Creative Interchange"(CI) is a "non-profit" 501(c)(3) organization. His Motto is "Where Changed Philosophies Lead to Changed Behavior".

CI has a program called the Nguzo Saba Liberation Academy for males ages 10-16. That age is ripe for brainwashing I suppose... errr, I mean standing up for injustice.

The following video shows Ahmad Daniel's lovely speech at an 2006 "Impeach Bush and Cheney" rally in Charlotte (they are still holding these). He includes phrases such as, "as a Vietnam Veteran I endured 29 months of incarceration", talks about the "illegal occupation of Iraq", says "troops [are] returning home physically handicapped and psychologically DERANGED", and claims "we are violating the Geneva Convention".

He is introduced at 1:26. Be sure to watch all of his "Malcolm X" inspired speech. This guy will really calm down the Muslims in Charlotte, won't he?!?

Hmmm, I wonder if you-know-who will be there?
