Scott emailed me a few links to the Arabic version of Wikipedia. And, yeah, it's about what you'd expect.

For instance, the 9/11 page is full of trutherism:

And a few pictures continue to show that there is explosive material ejected from the towers and cement crushed and pieces of steel columns was cast in the early stages of collapse. Images of the south tower showed clear links to the bombings and exit of lava on the building and under the place of the breaking point just as if the bomb like explosions of volcanoes. The ballistics of the multitude, which shows that this explosion was inside the building.

The point? Let's just say I'm not so optimistic about Arab "democracy".

The Investigative Project has published new information about Faiz Khan and his statements claiming that Muslims weren't behind the 9/11 attacks remembered this past weekend:

In his interview with CNN's Soledad O'Brien on Wednesday, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf defended his plans to build a mosque and Islamic center near Ground Zero, saying "You cannot heal a trauma by walking away from it. We have to sit down. We have to talk about it. We have to dialogue about it and find a way to move through it and beyond it."

But a trove of videos and writings available on the Internet shows that a longtime partner of Rauf believes the 9/11 terror attacks were "an inside job" by U.S. government and corporate interests, the Investigative Project on Terrorism found.

Faiz Khan, a physician who claims to have been a first responder after the September 11 attacks, is a founding member of the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance for 9/11 Truth and is on the advisory board of the Muslims for 9/11 Truth. In an essay on the Alliance's website, he argued that "the prime factor for the success of the criminal mission known as 9/11 did not come from the quarter known as 'militant Islam' although the phenomenon known as 'militant Islamic networks' may have played a partial role, or even a less than partial role - perhaps the role of patsy and scapegoat."

In speeches, Khan says people in the Third World, where the "sleaze of governance" is more of a given, few people question whether 9/11 was an inside job.

Yes, because it's the Third World that we want to be taking our cues from. Read it all.

Wow, just wow.

Once again, this is not evidence that Rauf is an extremist wolf in moderate sheep's clothing. For Muslims, the idea that US foreign policy is hostile to Muslims and that Americans don't care about the deaths of innocents is widely held. By definition, this makes Rauf's opinion mainstream in most majority Muslim countries.

On other issues, Rauf would be considered quite liberal in the Muslim community.

But to equivocate between the intentional killing of civilians by al Qaeda and the unintended killing of civilians by the US is worse than wrong -- it is evil.

Yes, we kill civilians sometimes. That is truly one of the many sad realities of warfare.

When al Qaeda kills civilians they not only do it intentionally, but they also celebrate it.

No one in the West praises the Predator drone operator who accidentally blows up a wedding party. We think of such acts as the regrettable but inevitable outcome of war.

But in many parts of the Muslim world "The Magnificient 19" -- the men who carried out the 9/11 attacks -- are praised as heroes and martyrs.

I heard someone on the radio today (Hannity or Rush?) make a good point about this. He mentioned that Rauf's equivocation seemed very much in line with Rev. Jeremiah Wright's theory of America. Which may be why Obama's State Department has no problem with paying for this guy to go on a goodwill mission to the Muslim world. If these are the kinds of speeches he has been delivering, then of course they will like what he is saying!

Let me add that the SOB still has a right to build a mosque wherever the hell he wants. Even the Nazis have that right.

Our responsibility is not to block the building of the mosque. It is to speak the truth, even if it hurts the feelings of some on the Left and of Muslims.

On this issue Pam has done a stellar job at digging into the imam's background. But I would warn her that she is being inconsistent when she claims that she does not want the government to intervene in the case.

What do you call a zoning commission other than a government agency? That is government by definition. If you wanted a zoning commission to stop the building of the mosque, you are asking a government agency to intervene! It's really not that complicated.

Also, I don't take some of what Rauf is saying as that offensive. It doesn't sound to me like he's questioning al Qaeda's role in the Madrid and London bombings. It just sounds poorly worded to me. But I could be wrong on that.

And the N word doesn't really offend my sensibilities, as long as it it used to connote something negative about those saying it (ie, that those who created artificial categories of race by assigning that word to black people are wrong).

But the stuff on 9/11 and US killings of civilians? I don't see how you could take that any other way. Rauf clearly holds some very troubling views on the country he allegedly loves (ie, us).

Anyway, good job on digging this up! Has any one seen the videos or audios promised by Steve Emmerson yet? Apparently, this is only the tip of the iceberg.

U.S. military officials tell NBC News that the U.S. Army will court martial a lieutenant colonel who refuses to deploy to Afghanistan because he considers orders from President Obama to be "illegal."

Army doctor Lt. Col. Terry Lakin believes Obama does not meet the constitutional requirements to be president and commander-in-chief, because he believes (incorrectly) that Obama wasn't born in the United States.

One wonders if Lakin displayed any signs of mental illness in the past but the military powers that be overlooked them because they really need doctors? Kind of like they did with Nidal Hasan and his public flirtations with violent jihadism.

Ahmadinejad

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday called the September 11 attacks on the United States a "big fabrication" that was used to justify the US war on terrorism, the official IRNA news agency reported.

Ahmadinejad, who often rails against the West and Israel, made the comment in a meeting with Intelligence Ministry personnel.

It came amid escalating tension in the long-running dispute between Iran and the West over Tehran's nuclear program, with the United States pushing for new UN sanctions against the major oil producer.

Ahmadinejad described the destruction of the twin towers in New York on September 11, 2001 as a "complicated intelligence scenario and act," IRNA reported.

Twoofers must be so proud Ahmadinejad is among them.

He continued: "I have been inundated with calls -- from across the political spectrum -- urging me to 'stay and fight.' But I came here to fight for others, not for myself. I cannot in good conscience ask my colleagues to expend precious time and energy defending or explaining my past. We need all hands on deck, fighting for the future."

Is Van Jones, President Obama's "Green Jobs Czar" a 9/11 Truther? Looks like it:

To give him the benefit of the doubt, it could be that someone else signed Van Jones up for the 911Truth.org statement. But it seems right in line with his radicalism -- including his membership in one of the most radical Marxist organizations in the US.

He claims to have "evolved" from hardcore communist in the early to mid-1990s to "revolutionary eco-capitalist" -- whatever the hell that means -- in the late 1990s.

One wonders if he has "evolved" enough to reject the 9/11 conspiracies which claim that the US government were behind the attacks now that he is part of the US government?

Remember, this statement with Van Jones' name on it came out in 2004. Perhaps now that Bush-Hitler isn't in power, the 9/11 conspiracy narrative no longer serves Jones' purposes?

Whether he has "changed" or not, this is pretty outrageous. Even in Obama's circle of friends where adherence to communism might be considered a quirky yet respectable position, I can't fathom that Trutherism would be socially acceptable.

I can't say I'm the biggest Glenn Beck fan -- nothing personal, I don't watch any of the talk shows on any of the "news" networks; I just don't like the format -- but of late CJ has been on a crusade against Beck, characterizing him as some sort of nut because Beck has been using some pretty out there language (I am told) to characterize Obama's "czars" as radicals.

Jones already admits he was a radical Marxist. If also turns out that as recently as 5 years ago he was a 9/11 Truther, I wonder if CJ will have to rethink his Glenn Beck is a nut position?

That was one of my earlier thought too, but look at the following:
Remember my false alarm about scrubbing? Well what I found out was that Rachel Ehrenfeld, Ph.D. used to be #28 there. She's no longer on the list. Reason being she asked to be removed and after multiple requests she was finally removed in late July 2007. Whether she believed it or was signed up for the list by someone else aside, she was removed after she asked.

This brings me to the following two very ugly alternatives.
1) VJ didn't know about it and was signed up for the list by someone else. But if that's the case, can someone please explain to me how did the VETTER-IN-CHIEF miss it? And if they didn't miss it why they haven't requested it to be removed?

2) VJ did sign up for the list himself, which makes him a TRUTHER (really no huge suprise from my side as anyone who subscribes to commie philosophy doesn't have everyone home). Which brings up the question once again. If the WH knew and did nothing, what does it tell about WH? and if they didn't know, what does it say about their competence? What in this latter case to prevent a foreign agent (including Al Qaeda) from penetrating our executive branch?

Any way you look at it, this is really bad. All right scratch that, it's plain horrible.

For years, the "9/11 Truth" movement -- which claimed George W. Bush knew about, or even perpetrated, the 9/11 attack -- enjoyed a friendly home in the far-Left's netroots. As the netroots consolidated their grip on the Democratic Party, "troothers"were left behind. Now, many of the same personalities are behind a movement demanding to see Barack Obama's birth certificate, a coalition in which a surprising group of leftists rub elbows with LaRouchies, Klansmen, Holocaust deniers, and discredited conspiracy theorists of all stripes.

After years of quietly tolerating the troothers in their ranks, Democrats changed tack as the 2008 election season began. On October 19, 2007, Democrat Bill Maher chose to take demonstrative action -- famously launching himself at a gaggle of troothers heckling from the audience of his TV show shouting “out, out, out!” Four days later Bill Clinton challenged troother hecklers, saying, “An inside job? How dare you. How dare you. It was not an inside job.”

Their twin demonstrations worked as intended. Troothers walked away from the Democrats and went to the presidential campaign most friendly to them—that of Texas Republican Ron Paul. (An October 20 article posted on InfoWars even denounced Maher as “an apologist and advocate for the criminal cabal.”) With two short strokes the Democrats not only removed an albatross from their neck but hung it on the other party.

In the conclusion Wednesday night to the show "Devil's Advocate" on Dutch public broadcaster Nederland 2, the jury of two men and three women, along with the studio audience, ruled there was no proof bin Laden was the mastermind behind the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in 2001.

A software company in Downtown Berkeley has announced it will be relocating outside of the city, citing what they claim is a "non-response" to crime by Berkeley police officers, who are forced instead to deal with protests at the Marine recruiting center.

Avontus Software, which has been based in Berkeley for more than a year, is one of many businesses affected by anti-war protests surrounding the recruiting center.

The city's decision to support Code Pink and other anti-war groups protesting the center by granting noise and parking permits has been detrimental to the business climate, according to Brian Webb, Avontus Software chief executive officer.

"All they're doing is giving our city negative press-they're removing our businesses," Webb said. "I actually have had to remove our address from our Web site because we received negative feedback from our customers about being here."

Webb's complaint is one of many the city has received about demonstrations disrupting business Downtown.

Berkeley protesters are accusing the Berkeley Police Deptartment of abusing them during protests. I bet the Berkeley PD would love to do that but are civil in their dealings with these moonbats.

Code Pink, The World Can't Wait, and Berkeley Cop Watch attended a Berkeley Police Review Commission meeting without representation from the police department...naturally!

Antiwar protesters lambasted the Berkeley Police Department — accusing officers of knocking them down and stomping them, among other things — at last night's Berkeley Police Review Commission meeting to review a petition regarding police crowd control tactics allegedly used last month on said protesters outside the downtown U.S. Marine Corps recruitment office.

Representatives from World Can't Wait, Code Pink, and Berkeley Copwatch talked and showed video clips of demonstrations. The BPD went unrepresented.

A series of protesters took the mic. One lamented "belligerent riot squads who use batons and arrests ... to silence political speech." Another claimed that "the Berkeley Police Department has committed acts of violence that ... create a climate of fear." Another described "a very marked escalation of hostility and physical violence on the part of the Berkeley Police Department" against people protesting "this disastrous, immoral, criminal war."

A Code Pink member described her group as "risking our lives" by protesting, because "there are people willing to kill to get what they want."

"Risking their lives" my arse. As stated further in the article the protesters encourage high school students to attend the rallies. Now get this...the protest groups stand behind the students. Kinda reminds me of human shields Hamas and other terrorist groups use. Cowards all of them.

Berkeley Independent School District Spokesman had this to say about one of the groups:

Interviewed yesterday, Berkeley Unified School District spokesman Mark Coplan voiced a different take on this. He has nothing against antiwar protests in general and attends them often, but he says World Can't Wait "just want to create disruption, to incite some type of negative response from police officers or other authorities." He says World Can't Wait regularly tries to make inroads at BHS, but are prohibited because "we will never be able to work with a group that encourages kids to walk out of classes."

World Can't Wait, Coplan says, actively advocates truancy among kids who are "fourteen, fifteen - literally babies," by giving them free logo shirts and bandannas and "getting them to hang out [at protests] all day. World Can't Wait thrives on those young kids, whom they use, telling them to line up against the cops, telling them, ‘The cops can't make you move. You have rights.'"

Maybe the next thing on the agenda for these groups is get the teenagers to do the Heil Hitler or Nazi salute?

The Charlotte, North Carolina Chapter of Action Center for Justice" is promoting a "Malcolm X: The Man, The Times, The Legacy--Charlotte" event. The event will be held at the Islamic Center at Charlotte, NC and hosted by Ahmad Daniel, a Muslim who melds Islam with leftist ideology.

The "Action Center for Justice" [ACFJ] website is full of anti-war propaganda. It boasts the likes of radicals such as Cindi Sheehan, Al-Awda, Palestine Right to Return Coalition, Code Pink, & World Can't Wait to name a few.

ACFJ has a "Free Mumia Abu-Jamal campaign". Abu-Jamal brutally murdered a Philadelphia Policemen. They also feature: "Stop Israeli Occupation", "US out of Pakistan", yada yada yada.

Their biggest campaign appears to be the "Impeach Bush and Cheney" movement. They mention the Gathering of Eagles, but call the patriotic group of veterans a "Flock of Shit". They have "exposed" the group claiming (rightly):

"Pro War Eagles tied to the Republican Party & Conservative media".

To cut to the chase, isn't it wonderful that they are announcing a program by Muslim Ahmad Daniels who appears to share their ideals and is ready to share with the Muslims at the Islamic Center in Charlotte?

Ahmad Daniel created Creative Interchange. "Creative Interchange"(CI) is a "non-profit" 501(c)(3) organization. His Motto is "Where Changed Philosophies Lead to Changed Behavior".

CI has a program called the Nguzo Saba Liberation Academy for males ages 10-16. That age is ripe for brainwashing I suppose... errr, I mean standing up for injustice.

The following video shows Ahmad Daniel's lovely speech at an 2006 "Impeach Bush and Cheney" rally in Charlotte (they are still holding these). He includes phrases such as, "as a Vietnam Veteran I endured 29 months of incarceration", talks about the "illegal occupation of Iraq", says "troops [are] returning home physically handicapped and psychologically DERANGED", and claims "we are violating the Geneva Convention".

He is introduced at 1:26. Be sure to watch all of his "Malcolm X" inspired speech. This guy will really calm down the Muslims in Charlotte, won't he?!?

Three Code Pink members handcuffed themselves to the door of the Marine recruiting office and stopped some possibly wanting to sign up from entering. Eventually the handcuffs were cut (7 1/2 hrs later) and one was arrested on a unrelated traffic warrant. Weren't they suppose to be across the street?

By blogging over the stupidity of Berkeley's City Councils decision to try to make the Marine recruiting office leave, "you are not welcome", and the Code Pink idjits being allowed "freedoms" that Marine recruiters are denied, "balistic" was aimed at the wrong party.

Although I never voted for Bill, I kind of like him as a person. Met him once I'd even have a beer with him.
