Tragedy: Iranian Grad Student at Georgia Tech Dies
Nothing to see here folks. He was just making Molotov Cocktails in his apartment. You know, normal stuff at Georgia Tech:
The Georgia Tech graduate student burned over 90 percent of his body last month died Thursday, the Institute said. The whole article is so rife with the subtlety you'd expect from people in denial but I don't think I can legally quote the whole thing.
Saamer Akhshabi was burned in a Feb. 4 explosion inside his apartment, where investigators found a suspected Molotov cocktail and several plastic bottles filled with gasoline and kerosene. Akhshabi, 26, was transported in critical condition to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died early Thursday, Georgia Tech shared with the campus.
Ah, who am I kidding? As if I care. Also, since my post is a criticism of the actual article -- fair use, baby! It continues (emphasis mine):
"We have worked closely with other law enforcement agencies during the investigation of this tragic incident," Robert Connolly, interim police chief for Georgia Tech, said in an emailed statement. "The FBI has relayed that, to date, they have not developed any information or evidence indicating criminal intent in this investigation."Okay, so the FBI doesn't tell Georgia Tech anything and so the guy's clean? As if the new and improved Eric Holder beholden FBI doesn't have an agenda here.
Investigators determined that Akhshabi was not a threat to the Georgia Tech community, Connolly said. But no information was released regarding why Akhshabi had the explosive materials. Not a threat. Of course he's not a threat ... he's was in the hospital and now he's dead!
I'd link more, but it's all just as mind boggling politically correct -- just as you'd expect.
Whatever happened to journalists doing, you know, journalism? We have an Iranian who explodes himself and what do the journalists do? File a report citing one source: the University.
I'm not sure if this is just a lesson on laziness or on bias? Either way, the American public is so boned.
I honestly am not trying to say that this guy is a terrorist and that we are being hoodwinked, although I know that it's kind of the way this post is coming off. What I really intend to say is that I just don't trust the media any more on reports on these so I'm with skepticism or a kind of agnosticism on the matter. I just don't know, and the amount of actual investigating these people do is so bad that I'm not sure we'll ever know.
