Red on Red in Syria Popcorn Status: Keep it Comin'

At this rate, I may just run out of popcorn before the red-on-red violence in Syria stops. Let's hope these guys don't kill so many of each other that they don't have any bullets left for Iran's proxy in the region, Assad:

An al Qaeda affiliate in Syria battled rival rebels across the country's north on Saturday and dozens of bodies piled up in a hospital in an insurgent-held city, a monitoring group said.

A week of infighting between the al Qaeda-linked group, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), and other groups including another al Qaeda-affiliated faction has killed hundreds of fighters opposed to President Bashar al-Assad.

Ideally this would be one of those Mexican standoffs, but all of them pull the trigger at the same time. Unfortunately it looks more and more like Assad is going to pull this one out of the hat and retain power. So, maybe it's time to rethink supplying arms to the rebels? Just to keep things going awhile longer.
