Muslim State of Ohio Employee Pleads Guilty to Bribery (Le Bump-ed)

The former State Deputy Treasurer of Ohio, exposed on The Jawa Report as a man with deep ties to Islamist extremists and of giving out state contracts to his friends and relatives, has pleaded guilty to bribery charges:

As his wife quietly cried in the federal courtroom, a former high-ranking Ohio official admitted yesterday to a $3.2 million kickback scheme that occurred while he was the stateís deputy treasurer.

Amer Ahmad, 39, now of Chicago, pleaded guilty to bribery and to conspiracy to commit bribery, wire fraud and money laundering, two of the eight counts against him.

That crying wife? She was one of the recipients int he kickback scheme.

Apparently he pleaded guilty to keep his wife out of jail. But wait, there's more:

The most recent was Columbus attorney Mohammed Noure Alo, 35, who pleaded guilty on Friday to wire fraud. As part of a plea agreement, a conspiracy charge against Alo will be dropped.

Ahmadís troubles might be just beginning.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Douglas W. Squires said an investigation continues into questions about a contract that the state treasurerís office had during Ahmadís tenure with State Street Bank in Boston. The bank hired Alo, an immigration lawyer, as its lobbyist shortly before it received $32 million in contracts from the treasurerís office.

And how did Ahmad know Alo? The two attended a mosque with extremist ties together.

So, watch out for the cornholes guys!

Thanks to Barbarossa.
