Top Taliban Leader Killed in ... Seminary

Imagine that, a terrorist hiding out in an Islamic seminary. The other takeaway from this is that the seminary was located in village in one of the "settled areas" -- meaning it was under government control and not the "tribes":

A suspected U.S. drone targeted an Islamic seminary early Thursday in northwest Pakistan, killing six people in an attack likely to inflame tensions over the CIA drone campaign.

According to local officials, three missiles were fired into a madrassa in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province about 5 a.m. local time, a rare strike outside of Pakistan’s tribal areas...

Local intelligence officials identified two of the dead as Maulvi Ahmad Jan and Maulvi Hameedullah, who they said were close associates of Sirajuddin Haqqani, a leader of the Haqqani network.

A good day.

I'll be gone most of the rest of the week and Howie is at Hedonism II for their yearly meet up of old wrinkly gay white guys. Vinnie might be there, too. I dunno. So posting might be light until DMartyr wakes up from her hangover and makes the walk of shame back home.
