al-Qaeda Bombs Iranian Embassy

Let me be the first to condemn this horrific act of terrorism.

At least 22 people have been killed and more than 140 injured in a double suicide bombing outside the Iranian embassy in the Lebanese capital Beirut.

There are conflicting reports as to whether the Iranian cultural attache survived the attack or was killed.

Iran is a major backer of the Lebanese Shia militant group Hezbollah, which has sent fighters to Syria to back the government of Bashar al-Assad.

TV images showed burning cars, bodies on the street and damaged buildings.

The Iranian ambassador to Beirut had earlier confirmed cultural attache Ebrahim Ansari's death to Hezbollah's al-Manar TV, saying it was not clear if he had been in the embassy itself or one of the residential buildings nearby.

But I'm pretty sure this was, you know, an inside job?
Director Oliver Stone's son says 9/11 was an ‘inside job’, Hezbollah are not terrorists, and Iran’s president is simply ‘misunderstood'

Does Iran not have a motive to bomb itself then blame it on al-Qaeda in order to gain sympathy? I'm just asking questions here people, just asking questions.

This is a clear escalation of the the Iran vs Saudi proxy war going on in Syria. Saudi Arabia recently cut off diplomatic ties with the US over giving Iran too much slack in Syria.

Not to mention the large faction of the Syrian Sunni resistance who are strait up al-Qaeda. The West, Russia and Iran increasingly driven together by a common enemy, an enemy that Syria and Iran were quite satisfied with then they fight the US in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Oh the sweet irony of it all.
