Your Friday Night Drone Strike

It's in Yemen, but this reminds me of a roundtable discussion I heard on NPR this week that I forgot to blog about. They were complaining about drone strikes in Pakistan, innocent civilians, yada, yada. But the one expert commented that the drone strikes were actually pretty popular in the "tribal regions". It seems the locals like it when the Taliban and al Qaeda types get droned.

You know who doesn't like it? Pakistani nationalists (sovereignty!), Islamists (kuffar!), and American Leftists:

Drone strikes in southern Yemen killed five suspected al Qaeda militants, the country's interior ministry said Friday, as fighting between rebels and ultraconservative Sunnis raged on in the north.

Two strikes killed the suspects Thursday in Abyan province, while a third left no casualties, the ministry said.
