Muslim Brotherhood Fulfills Rusty's Childhood Fantasy of Burning Down School
My 9 year old boyhood fantasies often times centered around that old negro spiritual: The Burning of the School. This was the Battle Hymn of the Disgruntled Student long before Pink Floyd came along and ruined Rock n Roll with Another Brick in the Wall.
Of course, I was just lashing out at school and teachers in general. It had nothing to do with the religious affiliation of said school. Teachers were evil. Every kid knew that.
But apparently the Muslim Brotherhood think it's only Christian schools that need to be burned down. One wonders if any of them got their .44 and hid behind the door so they won't teach no more?
Pardon me for taken the burning of a Christian school in Egypt lightly. There's nothing funny about it. But you handle evil your way, I'll handle it my way.
Thanks to Golem Bar.
UPDATE: Oh my, it gets less funny:
A mob marched nuns through the battle-torn streets of Cairo ‘like prisoners of war’ in the latest outrage against Egypt’s Christian minority.
Sister Manal, principal of a Franciscan school in suburban Cairo, watched for six hours as a mob looted the building, knocked the cross off the gate and replaced it with a black banner resembling the flag of Al Qaeda.
The classrooms were then burned to the ground and the women taken away, attracting a crowd of abusive onlookers....
Siblings Wardah and Bedour, two Christian women employed by the school, also found themselves having to fight their way through the mob while being groped, hit and insulted by the extremists.
