Florida Sheriff: Report Neighbors Who Don't Like Government

The Sheriff's department will then pay a little visit to the neighbor, you know, to confiscate their weapons and make sure they are "safe." (all emphasis mine.)

Bradshaw is readying a hotline and is planning public service announcements to encourage local citizens to report their neighbors, friends or family members if they fear they could harm themselves or others.

Sounds like Nazi Germany to me.

The goal won’t be to arrest troubled people but to get them help before there’s violence, Bradshaw said. As a side benefit, law enforcement will have needed information to keep a close eye on things.

We shall call those who report their neighbors a "National Civilian Security Force." They shall be issued brown shirts with armbands. If you resist their authority, you will be sent to re-education camps. If you fail re-education... well, let's just say no one who fails will be returning to the neighborhood.

"We want people to call us if the guy down the street says he hates the government, hates the mayor and he’s gonna shoot him," Bradshaw said. "What does it hurt to have somebody knock on a door and ask, 'Hey, is everything OK?’'"

What does it hurt? It hurts my Constitutional right to privacy, my Constitutional right to free speech, my Constitutional right to be secure my house, my Constitutional right for probable cause before being searched, my Constitutional right not to incriminate myself, my Constitutional right not to have property seized, and my Constitutional right to keep and bear arms without infringement.

Because they won't be knocking on my door to make sure I'm 'OK.' They will be knocking on my door to look for signs of subversion. They will be looking for indications of dissent, for signs of rebellion, and for excuses to disarm me.

That's what it hurts.
