Legitimate Target?

There's always the possibility of the perpetrators in this horrible act of terrorism being right-wing or left-wing (yes, there are terrorists among left-wingers despite the media refusal to admit it), but my gut says it's Islamic.

Under Islam by Muhammad's own example of conduct, children are legitimate targets. U.S. civilians are legitimate targets. Which means, if this was an Islamic attack, this victim was a legitimate target:

An 8-year-old boy was killed Tuesday in one of the explosions at the end of the Boston Marathon seconds after he reportedly hugged his runner dad as he approached the finish line.

Martin Richard, the boy, was with his mother and 6-year-old sister near the grandstand when one of the explosions occurred. The mother and sister were both critically injured in the blast. Martin's mother underwent brain surgery Monday night and his sister, 6, lost a leg in the blast, WHDH.com reported.

Say what you will about war, terrorism, soldiers, or terrorists. The difference between good and evil is who they consider "legitimate targets."

Good only targets direct threats. Collateral damage is sometimes the sad and unfortunate result, but there is no intent to harm innocents, only to destroy threats.

Evil targets the weakest and most defenseless. Evil is cowardice manifested through violence and fear. Evil is terrorism.
