Al Qaeda Shows It's On the Run in Philippines by Not Releasing Hostages
On the run. I do not think it means what you think it means:
Al Qaeda-linked gunmen in the Philippines have refused to release a reported seven foreigners they’re holding hostage, as two weeks of negotiations with the government end in failure, according to various media reports.Hey, I think there's a joke here. "A European bird watcher, a Japanese treasure hunter, a journalist from Jordan, a Malaysian, and two Filipinos walk into an Abu Sayyaf jungle. No one walks out." Ha ha ha, very funny.Among the hostages held by Abu Sayyaf in the jungles of the Philippines are two European bird watchers, a Japanese treasure hunter, a journalist from Jordan, a Malaysian man and at least two Filipinos, the Associated Press reports.
