Egypt: Morsi Imposes Martial Law In Run Up To Constitutional Referendum

Inside the Muslim Brotherhood's torture chambers

Are Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood members tired of dealing with the pro-Democracy crowd?

[ZIP]CAIRO (Reuters) — Egypt’s Islamist president has given the army temporary power to arrest civilians to help secure a constitutional referendum seen by the Muslim Brotherhood as a triumph for democracy and by its liberal foes as a religious straitjacket.

President Mohamed Morsi, bruised by the political uproar in which protesters have besieged his graffiti-besmirched palace to demand his downfall, has rescinded a November 22 decree giving him wide powers, but has not budged on the referendum date

Constitutional referendum seen as "triumph for democracy"?

I really don't think so, just sayin. Morsi still keeps the power of the pen and is determined on implementing Islamic law.

Leftist, CAIR, the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamists have vile hatred for Dr Zuhdi Jasser of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy. He is constantly talking about 'political Islam' and the need to reform.

Dennis Miller recently interviewed Dr Jasser in regards to Egypt and Syria:
