Did #Petraeus 'Mistress' Reveal 'Classified Information' on #Benghazi?
'Secret' CIA 'Blacksite' (Interrogation Center) Possible Cause For Attack To Free Prisoners
[Update 11/12/12: FBI Agents Raid #Petraeus Mistress, Paula Broadwell, Home
In a public talk in October, Paula Broadwell, the biographer and mistress of Gen. Petraeus, claimed the Benghazi consulate was attacked to free CIA held prisoners. [App 35 minutes in her talk]:
Broadwell went on to explain more details from the Benghazi attacks.Did bronco bamma 'know' about this? Is this the reason he, and others, blamed the Mo video for the attack? Remember, in 2009, Obama ordered 'Blacksites" abroad be closed
“Now, I don’t know if a lot of you heard this, but the CIA annex had actually, um, had taken a couple of Libyan militia members prisoner and they think that the attack on the consulate was an effort to try to get these prisoners back. So that’s still being vetted.”[...]
A well-placed Washington source confirms to Fox that there were Libyan militiamen being held at the CIA annex in Benghazi and that their presence was being looked at as a possible motive for the staged attack on the Consulate and Annex that night.
According to multiple intelligence sources who have served in Benghazi, there were more than just Libyan militia members who were held and interrogated by CIA contractors at the CIA Annex in the days prior to the attack. Other prisoners from additional countries in Africa and the Middle East were brought to this location.
WASHINGTON — Saying that “our ideals give us the strength and moral high ground” to combat terrorism, President Obama signed executive orders Thursday ending the Central Intelligence Agency’s secret overseas prisons, banning coercive interrogation methods and closing the Guantánamo Bay detention camp within a year.Well, GITMO is still open...
"Obama Approved of Waterboarding/Torture of Jihadis !!11Eleventy11!!", headlines we haven't seen, yet.
Another development brewing in Benghazigate: Classified documents found on her computer?
Paula Broadwell, former CIA director David Petraeus' biographer and reported mistress, for months, citing concerns about classified information and a potential national security breach. Also, Broadwell's personal website and Facebook page has been scrubbed.
Well, it turns out that during the FBI's investigation, the bureau did find classified documents on Broadwell's computer, reports the Wall Street Journal.
Efforts Sunday to reach Broadwell—who colleagues and friends of Petraeus say would often present herself as his gatekeeper—for comment were unsuccessful. On Friday, her personal website and Facebook page were scrubbed from the Internet.(The Washington Post reported Sunday that “Officers close to Petraeus grew concerned about her posts on Facebook, which they believed sometimes divulged sensitive operational details.”)Apparently Jill Kelley, a friend of the Petraeus family, was the woman who received 'threatening emails' from Broadwell. She, in turn, told the FBI, which led to Broadwell, which led to Gen Petraeus. Note, if you read Kelley works for the St Dept, she doesn't. AP was wrong, or pushing disinformation.
Credit certainly is due to them, good job!
