Empty Chair President
Good leadership is most needed during a crisis. But a poor leader is absent during a crisis.
Below the fold, Footprints In The Sand, slightly modified.
One night an American had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the Obamessiah.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life in America.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the Obamessiah and Big Government.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him
and he was dying from endless debt, submission to inferior cultures
and had succumbed to the incompetent medical treatment under Obamacare,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of
of the last four years there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in America.
This really bothered him and he
questioned the Obamessiah about it:
"President Obama, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
You said we'd have hope & change.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in America, there is no hope
and only change for the worse.
There is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
We needed a leader most you would leave."
The Obamessiah replied:
"Well, uh... uh... what I decided... (where's the teleprompter?)
During...um...hold on... during the difficult times caused by my predecessor,
when you... when you... see only one set of... uh... uh... footprints,
That was... that was then that I went to play golf."
