Ashes Over Yuma
You voted, and this week's Corps Top Shot comes from Air Force Staff Sgt. Johnny Gunn. Gunn took this photo of Marine free fall instructors spreading the ashes of Sgt. Brett Jaffe over the Phillips Drop Zone at Yuma Proving Grounds, Ariz., in keeping with his final request. "This was a memorial ash release dive, by Marines, for a Marine, at the request of a Marine wife," Gunn said. "I ... was honored to be asked to do this. It gave me goose bumps taking it, and still does every time I see it!"Such a beautiful image capture of "hail and farewell" to Sgt Brett Jaffe.
