German Judge Orders Final Solution

I'm not saying that Germany is antisemitic. Oh, wait, actually, I am saying that:

Circumcising young boys on religious grounds amounts to grievous bodily harm, a German court ruled Tuesday in a landmark decision that the Jewish community said trampled on parents' religious rights.

The regional court in Cologne, western Germany, ruled that the "fundamental right of the child to bodily integrity outweighed the fundamental rights of the parents", a judgement that is expected to set a legal precedent.

"The religious freedom of the parents and their right to educate their child would not be unacceptably compromised, if they were obliged to wait until the child could himself decide to be circumcised," the court added.

For full disclosures sake, the kid who was circumcised in this case was four and he was Muslim.

But, come on. Circumcision is kinda important to Judaism.

I actually do think circumcising a four year old is qualitatively different and therefore more abusive than circumcising an infant. If our memories are one way to define us than the memory of getting cut, you know -- down there, can't be a pleasant one.

Any guys who were cut within days of birth actually have a memory of it? I didn't think so.

I've never heard of circumcising a toddler, though. I thought Muslims waited until they were 13 to be circumcised? I actually had to look this up, but apparently it's considered obligatory by some schools of thought and recommended by others. Also, most Muslims do wait until their kid is older. Usually around seven.

Which, frankly, is kinda sick. Sorry people, that's just how I see it. Maybe it's cultural bias. I don't know, I don't care. It just seems more like child abuse when a kid is capable of asking what the guy with the beard is doing with the knife down by his private parts?

But the effect of the decision, whether based on some neutral reading of child abuse or whether based on some latent antisemitism seems irrelevant to the larger point of the affects of the decision. Jews will not be allowed to practice, therefore observant Jews will be forced to leave.

Making Germany -- finally -- Jew free. The final solution comes not in the gas chambers, but with the bang of a judge's gavel.
