The White House Office of the Press Secretary Needs a Spell Checker

After Jay Carney tried to tell everyone Obama wasn't booed last night: Jay Carney: For Gods Sake They Weren't Booing Obama at that Fundraiser

To think, if things had gone differently yesterday at the Court, we’d now be in day two of a glorious high-traffic easy-content ObamaCare online frenzy. Instead we’re watching YouTube vids trying to decipher whether a crowd was yelling “boo” or “Boo-urns” “Yoooouk.” Roberts had better atone by delivering on Thursday. Big time.

When all other content wells have run dry, it’s a comfort to know that Jay Carney will be there to say something untrue and keep the bloggy gears turning.

White House press secretary Jay Carney criticized press reports Tuesday that said donors in Boston booed the president when he made a joke about the Red Sox’s trade of popular third baseman Kevin Youkilis…[More..]
I checked the WH press release regarding this event and yes, the "audience" booed was in there. Something else was amiss though:
I also want to acknowledge former Governor Michael Dukakis, who is here, and his lovely wife Kitty. (Applause.) And finally, Bos, I just want to say thank you for Youkilis.

AUDIENCE: Booo --

THE PRESIDENT: I’m just saying. He’s going to have to change the color of his "sox." (Laughter and boos.) I didn’t think I’d get any “boos” out of here, but -- (laughter) -- I guess I shouldn’t have -- I should not have brought up baseball. I understand. My mistake.

AUDICEN: Booo --

That's sad, damn sad. I am a lousy speller at times but I don't issue official White House "press releases".
