Blast at Bar Kills One in Kenya, Possible Iranian Connection

The interesting thing here? Last week Kenyan authorities arrested two Iranians, one of them in Mombasa, on suspicion of terrorism. They had bomb making materials.

Which is interesting, to say the least, because those sympathetic to Somali terrorists in Kenya are not Shia. In fact, these people accuse the Shia -- the state religion of Iran -- of being murtadeen, or apostates.

So, does this signal a new alliance between Iran and al Qaeda in East Africa? Were the Iranians working on their own? Or were the Iranians working on a separate plot unrelated to last night's blast?

In any event, we are seeing a lot of Iranian related terror activity all around the world. This should come as no surprise since terror is the only leverage the Iranians have in negotiations with the world community over their nuclear ambitions.

At least until they get a nuke.
