Former President George W. Bush Beheaded In Game of Thrones Season One (Updated)

Sorry, no image of GW's head on a spike, it disgusts me.

The makers used GW's because that was the one they had around

.....The show’s creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss explain thusly in the DVD commentary: ”The last head on the left is George Bush. George Bush’s head appears in a couple of beheading scenes. It’s not a choice, it’s not a political statement. We just had to use whatever head we had around.”

Upon further examination, the head is in fact the decapitated profile of our nation’s 43rd president. Only in the world of “Game of Thrones” do people simply have heads of living presidents “around.”[More...]

Not a political statement, uh huh..

Politico has the video, naturally. Comments are interesting, such as this one:

I just LOVE the fake indignation being dished out by the right-wing commenters. Dubya is responsible for hundreds of thousands of needless deaths and COMPLETELY obliterating the economy, which has us all suffering to this day. OF COURSE Dubya is despised by MILLIONS of Americans. Poll after poll shows him to be one of the worst presidents in history. The only people who care for the man are right-wing, partisan creeps. PLUS, it was a harmless joke. For such a despicable man, it was a TAME joke.
Would it be tame joke if it were Obama, Clinton, Carter? I think some of the commenters there would be crying foul.

I still would be disgusted if any of them were "beheaded" instead of GW.
