I guess they got the memo. Oh wait, here are a few original descriptions of the day. This one says "mostly peaceful." Here's a "largely" peaceful. And this one says "predominantly" peaceful. Check out the big brain on Brett! I guess those thesauruses come in handy after all!
This one just uses "peaceful" and goes on to tell readers "no injuries or property damage were reported." Really? Let's see that "peaceful" protest with no property damage:
#OccupyOakland protester smashes a window a a Well Fargo bank. But remember! There was no property damage reported! Gee, I wonder who'll pay for that? Certainly not the freeloading freaks. And who brings a hammer to a "peaceful" protest anyway? The Tea Party protesters never did.
#OccupyOakland protesters broke into a privately-owned, vacant building. They claimed it as their own. Of course, they didn't pay for it, they haven't paid taxes on it, yet they think they're entitled to it.
#OccupyOakland protesters bang on vehicles and refuse to allow drivers to proceed. Protesters, in essence, were illegally detaining drivers, violating them of their rights.
#OccupyOakland protesters climb on trucks, preventing the truck drivers from hauling their load. For people protesting the lack of jobs, they are certainly doing their part to harm working people.
#OccupyOakland protester stands in front of a burning barricade. Protesters built the barricade and set it on fire to deter police.
#OccupyOakland protester defaces a supermarket building. Who'll pay for that? Not them. The rest of us will pay for it through higher prices.
