Underwear Bomber Trial Begins

The trial of the Christmas Day 'underwear bomber', Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, begins in Detroit today. Abdulmutallab will act in his own defense, which proves the old adage about a lawyer representing himself has a fool for a client.

Earlier today
the judge denied the defense's motion to suppress the word 'bomb' from the trial. Lulz.

Since Abdulmutallab's guilt is certain, what many of us are looking for are details on the relationship between Abdulmutallab and Anwar al-Awlaki. I'll also be keen to know if Abdulmutallab had communicated with Samir Khan while he was a student in London.

That, and the laughs. Expect lots and lots of laughs.
