[Prologue by Rusty: 11 people arrested in Europe in terror plot, some of them connected with the Ansar al Mujahideen English Forum and three of them to the Shari4 Belium group who's website and YouTube page we have been aware of for some time. At least one member of that last website wrote me two emails earlier this year inviting me to Islam. UPDATE: Another 15 were arrested in Belgium bringing the total number of arrests up to 26! See update at bottom of post.]

I wonder how many members of Revolution Muslim -- aka, Islam Policy -- know those arrested?

Good news. Remember the upstart Sharia4Belgium jihadis we posted on last year (links below)? Belgium is doing to them what the U.S. should be doing to online jihadis and recruiters seeking to spread sharia law here. Arresting them! Instead, the U.S. is letting them flee to terror-havens and making them al Qaeda stars
Brussels, November 23 In Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany this morning arrested ten people suspected of preparing a terrorist attack. This is the Belgian prosecutor confirmed today.

These are people with the Belgian, Moroccan, Dutch and Russian (Chechen) nationality. Three suspects were arrested in Antwerp were members of “Sharia 4 Belgium, a small organization of extremist Muslims.

Islam4Belgium going to hell's fire, inshallah.

To name a couple stars:
Samir Khan, alQaeda star
Anwar al-Awlaki, alQaeda star

YouTube hearts jihadis:

youtube.com/user/sharia4belgium <--- This is their YouTube channel.

sharia4belgium.com <---- This is their website.

UPDATE by Rusty: Aaron notes that the arrested would-be jihadists were active on the Ansar al-Mujahideen English Forum (AMEF). This would be the same forum that hosted Samir Khan's blog.

Here's a Googlish translation:

As the study progressed it became clear that the young man was related to an international jihadist terrorist group used the site extremist Ansar Al Mujahideen . The website, currently still online, including attempts to recruit young people to go fight in Chechnya.
Nice. Continue to use the AMEF forum. Please.

Another thing to note is that the group is tied in with Bakri Mohammad and Anjem Choudary's followers in the UK. And since the same group's followers in the US are those that run The Islamic Thinker's Society and Revolution Muslim (now Islam Policy), then SH's guess that there is a connection is spot on.

For evidence of this, check out the graphic that I have placed at the top of the post which I lifted from their website.

On a related note, I did a quick search of my email. It turns out one of the guys that runs Sharia4Belgium called me to Islam. Here's a couple of the emails. This one from March 9th of this year:

From: Al Walaa Wal Baraa

i know you dislike that sharia is talking over the world, but that is a fact, so get used to it!

first great britain, now belgium, then the netherlands, and we will continue inshaallah until the rule of Allah swt is applied on the whole world!

The email account it came from matches that on the contact page of the group's website. I responded by asking him why he was writing me, after which he sent a second email:
convert to islam and you will be succesfull in this life and the afterlife
To which I said something deliberately insulting about his prophet. Something about "pedophile" and "mass murderer".

Anyway, congrats to all those who helped in the continent wide sting.

Another Update: Another 15 in Belgium arrested. This is much bigger than we first thought:

Hours later, Belgian officials announced the detention of some 15 people in Brussels in connection with a separate probe into a group suspected of recruiting would-be "jihadists" willing to do battle in Iraq and Afghanistan....

Belgian authorities said several other people had already been arrested in Spain, Morocco and Saudi Arabia as part of the same probe, conducted with other countries and the EU's judicial cooperation unit Eurojust.

In addition to the online jihad connection, it looks like a mosque was a common denominator. A mosque. Imagine that?
The arrests followed a three-year investigation into the Belgian Assabil Islamic Centre, considered a hotbed for Muslim radicalism since the 1990s.

A French-Syrian imam from the centre, Bassam Ayachi, was sentenced to four years in prison in Italy in May 2009 for smuggling illegal immigrants and is under investigation in Al-Qaeda-linked plots in France and Britain.
