Judge Throws Out Case To Remove World Trade Center Cross

From Breitbart:

A U.S. District judge has thrown out a lawsuit, brought by an atheist group that hoped to prevent the display of a cross-shaped steel beam found in the rubble at the site of the World Trade Center.

The Associated Press reports that Judge Deborah Batts, in a ruling released on Friday, rejected the arguments of American Atheists, saying that the artifact could help tell the story of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The atheists’ organization sued the National September 11 Memorial & Museum’s operators in 2011 on constitutional grounds, arguing that the display of the 17-foot-tall cross constitutes an endorsement of Christianity and thus lessens the contributions of non-Christian rescuers.

Muslim Cleric Gunned Down For Preaching Intolerance

No, wait... He was gunned down for preaching tolerance...

The Express Tribune via Gateway Pundit:

A cleric was gunned down inside a mosque in Rashakai, Risalpur, after he stopped a person from pasting posters igniting sectarian hatred.

Maulana Sirajul Haq Mir was offering prayers on Friday when the accused stepped out from the second row and opened fire, killing him on the spot.

Outspoken moderate Muslims should be a protected species. There aren't many of them left.

And speaking of tolerant Muslims, tens of thousands of Muslims in Bangladesh took to the streets to demand harsher punishments for bloggers who insult Islam.

As many as 94 people have been killed during protests against free speech bloggers. The first death was that of Ahmed Rajib Haider, a blogger who demanded justice for war crimes committed during the country's war of independence in 1971. The accused convicted war criminal is a Muslim and a leader of the Islamist group Jamaat-e-Islami.

Happy Good Friday / Passover **Sticky**

For our Jewish friends, Chag Pesach Sameach. For we Christians, it is the day we commemorate the death of our Lord, the Supreme Passover Lamb.

And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.

And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst. And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin. Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews. Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.

Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

They said therefore among themselves, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. These things therefore the soldiers did.

Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.

When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!

Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.

Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Now it was the day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath. Because the Jewish leaders did not want the bodies left on the crosses during the Sabbath, they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies taken down. The soldiers therefore came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and then those of the other.

But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.

The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe.

These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: “Not one of his bones will be broken,” and, as another scripture says, “They will look on the one they have pierced.”

Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jewish leaders. With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away. He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night. Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds. Taking Jesus’ body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen. This was in accordance with Jewish burial customs.

At the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had ever been laid. Because it was the Jewish day of Preparation and since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.

Yariv Horowitz Beaten at French Film Festival

Obviously these racist Arab Youths are also misunderstanderers of the Religion of Peace

Arab youths have reportedly attacked an Israeli film director, Yariv Horowitz.

Horowitz, who directed the film "Rock the Casbah" was participating at a film festival in France when he was attacked by a group of Arab youths just before the film won the best film award, unconfirmed reports suggest.

He apparently lost consciousness and has been subsequently treated. Horowitz is said to have returned immediately to the festival after treatment. Authorities are estimating that the attack was racially motivated.

Horowitz, who represents Israel, is said to have been attacked after the screening of the film by a group of Arab youths.

Let be clear about what they mean by racist. They, for some unknown reason, hate Jews.

Here is a trailer for the film. If anyone has a full copy available we'll run it.

Science! Dirty Coal Emissions From China Saving the Planet

Yid With Lid:

I have good news, you can take off the purple sneakers and come out. To paraphrase "Honest Abe," One Score of years ago our fathers looked at the thermometer and the temperature was the same as it was today." And the scientist who are perpetuating the global warming hoax don't understand why!!
Another paper published by leading climate scientist James Hansen, the head of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, says the lower than expected temperature rise between 2000 and the present could be explained by increased emissions from burning coal.
What? You mean the clean air act which required scrubbing the particulates from coal emissions rather than requiring the spacing out of coal plants to fight acid rain caused global warming? And now the only thing saving us from Global destruction is the increased dirty coal emissions from China and the developing world?

OMG! Its almost as if God knew what he was doing when he made coal or something? We just can't figure out how to burn it right.

But never worry Obama is pushing increased use of clean coal technology, thus averting a the looming global ice age in one swift stroke.

Brunswick GA City Commissioner Arrested for Tampering With Witness in Baby Killing

He was just trying to, you know, help his voters.... and also never mind that racketeering charge he's facing. Its just da man keepin' him down.

A Georgia city official was arrested Thursday on charges of obstructing enforcement and influencing a witness in the case involving the fatal shooting of a one-year-old boy.

An attorney for Brunswick city commissioner and mayor pro tem James Henry Brooks told WTLF-TV that his client was arrested for stepping between police and Karimah Elkins, the mother of 17-year-old suspect De'Marquise Elkins, when police tried speaking with her during a court appearance Monday.

Karimah Elkins and De'Marquise's older sister, Sabrina Elkins, were charged with evidence tampering. The indictment says they threw the revolver that police suspect was used in the shooting into a saltwater pond where investigators recovered it Tuesday.

As you might recall Karimah Elkins was interviewed by a local news station stating that De'Marquise Elkins, was at her home during the time of the killing. For some reason at the time she did not mention to the News station that she'd helped discard the murder weapon.

Pali Loving Brit Lefties Meet ArabSpring! w/ Less Than Hilarious Results

So, a bunch of Israel hating British lefties decides to break the "blockade" of Gaza by joining an aid caravan going through Libya. As they reach Benghazi, well, I'll let the report speak for itself:

Three women who were part of an aid convoy passing through Libya on the way to Gaza have been sexually assaulted in Benghazi, after a group of five British nationals were briefly kidnapped.

The three women, two of whom are sisters, were part of a large aid convoy travelling to the Gaza Strip. It is thought that they were part of a group of five people who were briefly kidnapped near Benghazi in the early hours of Tuesday and they were released some hours later. The group is currently safe in the Turkish consul in Benghazi and is expected to return to the UK.

I was tempted to write something about how their illusions have now been shattered about the prospects for Arab democracy, but you know what? I've known a lot of these types and no matter how barbaric the "oppressed" are they are simply unable to see past their left wing narrative. In their minds, these acts of barbarism are the results of colonialism, capitalism, and Zionism.

In other words, they blame America and Israel for the fact that they were kidnapped and sexually assaulted in Libya.

Lazy F*ck Anjem Choudary

Sigh... Daily Mail:

A controversial Muslim cleric will not face action despite telling his followers to claim benefits and saying David Cameron should be killed.

Telling fellow fanatics to claim 'jihad seeker's allowance', Anjem Choudary, who in the past has planned to disrupt the minute's silence on Remembrance Sunday, also openly mocked hard-working Britons, calling them 'slaves'.

The Sun newspaper secretly filmed him saying Islam will overrun Europe, David Cameron and Barack Obama should be killed, and called the Queen 'ugly'.
The newspaper gave its evidence to the authorities, but Thames Valley Police today said: 'The material fell below an evidential threshold to pursue a criminal case against him.'

That's not to mention his mocking and open defraudment of so called social welfare programs.
The father-of-four takes home more than £25,000 a year in benefits and lives in a £320,000 house in Leytonstone, East London.

He told a crowd of around 30 fanatics: 'People will say, "Ah, but you are not working". But the normal situation is for you to take money from the kuffar (non-Muslim). 'So we take jihad seeker's allowance. You need to get support.'

In another video a grinning Choudary is recorded telling his disciples that it is justifiable to take money from non-believers.

He said: 'The normal situation is to take money from the kuffar. You work, give us the money, Allahu Akhbar (God is great). Hopefully there's no one from the DSS listening to this.'

You know back in the day the Queen would have had his head posted at the Tower of London. Those were the days.

American Charged w/ Aiding al Qaeda's Syrian Affiliate

I'll be honest, this comes as a bit of a shock. I had thought that the reports that a former soldier, Eric Harroun, working with al Qaeda elements in Syria were overblown. For instance, a Fox News report tried to sensationalize a statement he made that he had worked "alongside" the al Qaeda linked al Nusrah front. When in fact, the relationship (he claimed) was one where they gave him a ride once and he and the Free Syrian Army had been in one place and al-Nusrah units had been in close proximity.

Which is technically "alongside". But saying "Phoenix man took ride from terrorists after his truck broke down" doesn't seem as sexy as "fought alongside".

But it appears that there really was more to the story:

Eric Harroun, 30, of Phoenix, was arrested and charged with conspiring to use a rocket propelled grenade (RPG) while fighting with the al Nusrah Front, an organization commonly referred to as “al Qaeda in Iraq” and designated as a foreign terrorist organization since October 2004.

Neil H. MacBride, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, and Valerie Parlave, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office, made the announcement.

Harroun, a U.S. citizen who served with the U.S. Army from 2000 to 2003, was charged by criminal complaint with conspiring to use a destructive device outside of the United States, which carries a maximum penalty of life in prison, if convicted. Harroun made his initial appearance today in federal court in Alexandria, Virginia, before U.S. Magistrate Judge Theresa C. Buchanan.

The al Nusrah Front is one of several aliases used by the al Qaeda in Iraq terrorist organization, and since November 2011, the group has claimed responsibility for nearly 600 terrorist attacks in Syria.

According to an affidavit filed in support of the criminal complaint, Harroun allegedly crossed into Syria in January 2013 and fought with members of the al Nusrah Front against the Bashar al Assad regime in Syria. The affidavit alleges that Harroun was trained to use an RPG by members of the terrorist organization and that he fired an RPG and posted online multiple photographs of himself carrying or posing with RPGs and other military weapons. Harroun allegedly participated in attacks led by the al Nusrah Front and was part of an RPG team, for which he carried anti-personnel and anti-armor rockets.

So, when Haroun claimed on his Facebook page that he "shot down a Syrian helicopter", the assumption on my part was ... how do I say this? .... That he was full of sh*t.

But now? Maybe the relationship was deeper. At the very least it sounds as if he really did do some fighting "alongside" al Nusrah. And by alongside here, I mean it in the straightforward, literal use of the term: he fought with them.

But this brings up an interesting and I think important question given that the US is actively training members of the Free Syrian Army to battle the Assad regime: Where does one cross the line between fighting against Assad, which we support, and doing so with the cooperation of the al-Nusra Front, which we consider a terrorist organization?

I hear news reports out of Syria all the time claiming that the FSA is always more than willing to work with the al-Nusra Front since the group has a reputation for fighting. So, is it legal for an American to go to Syria and fight with the FSA, which we support? And if so, then in the heat of battle if your FSA unit and a unit from the al-Nusra Front combine for a single objective then are you now in jeopardy of arrest upon your return home?

I'm not saying that is what happened in Haroun's case. What I'm suggesting is that there are probably a lot of Americans in Syria right now fighting. Those people could probably use some legal advice right about now.

What we see in Syria is a bit like what happened in Afghanistan in the 1980s. A messy situation where we have a competing and conflicting goals without unified actors in whom we can trust.

My own inclination is that the entire affair is none of our business. More power to the Syrians if they want to get rid of Assad. We'll pat you on the back later.

Except, of course, we all see what is coming if Assad does fall. Do we really expect to see a friendly government in Damascus if Assad falls? I doubt that very much.

But if people want to go to Syria and fight Assad for the coming chaos, I really have no problem with that. It's your life waste.

3 Toulouse Accomplices Arrested in France

One was a soldier, and some reports claim that the three helped the murderer, Mohamed Merah, get the scooter he used in the shootings:

Agnes Thibault Lecuivre of the prosecutor’s office said two people were arrested late Tuesday in Toulouse, adding that one of the arrests took place in the gritty Les Izards neighborhood where Merah spent some of his childhood.

A third person, a serving French soldier, was arrested at his barracks on Wednesday morning in the nearby town of Castres.

It's not clear the extent of the role these men played in the act of terror, but keep in mind that the French authorities knew about Merah, his connections to violent Islamists in Pakistan, and declined to act on the notion that he just wasn't that dangerous.

Hindsight: it's 20-20.

Shabaab Supporter Gets 9 Years on Cornhole Watch

An Eritrean man who admitted to receiving military training and aiding the al-Shabaab terrorist organization in Somalia was sentenced by a federal judge in Manhattan to nine years and three months in prison.

Mohamed Ibrahim Ahmed, 38, who pleaded guilty in June to two counts of conspiracy, faced as long as 10 years in prison under nonbinding U.S. sentencing guidelines.

Ahmed, an Eritrean native who moved to Sweden as a child before going to Somalia, was arrested in Nigeria in 2009 and brought to the U.S. the following year, prosecutors said.

He admitted to contributing about 3,000 euros ($3,835) to al-Shabaab and was trained to make and detonate bombs while he was in Somalia, prosecutors said.

MEMRI Notices Malaysia's Blind Eye to Taliban Business Dealings

Unfortunately our efforts to get a Malaysian company to stop illegally providing business services to the Taliban have so far gone unheeded. The Malaysian authorities are also turning a blind eye to their international obligations as Malaysia's Interpol office, their embassy, and even the local police in Selangaor have also been notified of SKS's illegal business dealings.

From this I can only presume that they don't care either: a) because they covertly support the Taliban; or b) because they care more about making money than they do about international terrorism.

But it is good to see that MEMRI has a report out about Malaysia's tolerance of the Taliban. Perhaps their wider readership will result in some action? MEMRI:

Flotilla 3.0: 'Gaza's Ark'?

"Trade not Aid" is a 'new' attempt of activists to break the so-called Israeli blockade from the inside out.

Flotilla 3.0: International 'activists' work with Hamas affiliates to sail OUT of Gaza

[A] new propaganda initiative designed to test the resolve of the Israeli blockade on Hamas in Gaza is seeking to highlight how trade from Gaza has been affected by Israel.

The focus of the 'Gaza Ark' is the fact that while goods do indeed enter the Hamas-run, Palestinian enclave, goods are said to rarely ever leave. The premise of the trip is that Gaza wants to trade with the world, rather than receive aid. Critics have called the trip "intentionally misleading", pointing to the fact that on a weekly basis, dozens of trucks export products from Gaza.

These facts haven't stopped the 'Gaza Ark' committee, however, a group which is supported by the hard-Left Noam Chomsky and disgraced Baroness Jenny Tonge. The organization's "Who We Are" section also lists the public relations head of the Hamas-run Gaza Chamber of Commerce, Maher Al-Tabaa, and 'one-state solution' advocates such as Haidar Eid, who also works at the Al-Aqsa University, an institution that Hamas boasted about 'taking over' in 2009[...]

In 2011, evidence was uncovered linking Hamas to the flotilla campaigns.

Ministry of Zionist Kihnspiracy! Brotherhood Smuggling Ayman al-Zawahiri Home to Egypt

Human Events:

According to a new report from the Arabic-language website Misr al-Gidida [translated for this story by the author], during Egyptian president Muhammad Morsi’s recent visit to Islamabad, Pakistan, he secretly met with Ayman Zawahiri, the leader of the terrorist organization al-Qaeda, and promised to smuggle the Egyptian-born jihadi back home. The Arabic report cites a Pakistani source saying that the meeting was clandestinely arranged, away from the delegation accompanying Morsi, and “facilitated by elements of Pakistani intelligence (ISI) and influential members of the international organization, the Muslim brotherhood.”

Jawa Report File image of Ayman al-Zawahiri
f*cked up like Hogan's Goat

Morsi himself is a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood; Zawahiri is a former member who grew impatient with the Brotherhood’s tactics of non-violent patience and perseverance, eventually quitting the organization and joining the jihad, becoming its current leader. (See “Ayman Zawahiri and Egypt: A Trip through Time” for an expose on Zawahiri and his decades-long connections to Egypt, the Salafis, and the Muslim Brotherhood.)

Other reports say that Zawahiri was already smuggled into Egypt aboard their version of Air Force One, known in the West as a DC 10.

MAIMANA (PAN): A Taliban-designated district chief, his three security guards and a policeman were killed during a clash in northern Faryab province, officials said on Thursday.

Identified as Mullah Khairullah, the Taliban chief for Qarghan district, was killed during a fight with border police in the Quram Qul district late on Wednesday, the 209th Shaheen Military Corps spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News. Sultan Sanjer, the Andkhoi district head, said that a policeman was also killed in the gunbattle, which left another policeman and four rebels injured.

With the Taliban yet to comment on the incident, their spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi claimed that two policemen were killed in a militant attack on a logistic convoy of Afghan security personnel in the district.

The Moderate Syrian Rebels?

A guest post at Jihadology about Farouq Brigades Jamat al-Nusra and other Islamic groups in Syria.

If you see how Farouq presents the story to English language media, it would seem it’s a plain black and white case of local, moderate fighters clashing with rabid, fanatical global jihadists, purely because Farouq wants a moderate Syria. All fine and dandy, but the truth, as always, is much more complex.

You see, Farouq Brigades, “are a bunch of thieves,” as one of my sources described. Northern Farouq is notorious for its extensive smuggling businesses of diesel, cement, and even hashish. They carry out extortion on their checkpoints. They charge exorbitant taxes for goods passing through their checkpoints, and this greed is shared by their Homs-based colleagues, who, in the last week of December 2012, were busy taxing weapons to other rebels, instead of co-operating with them to fight the regime forces,

The Post in Which Rusty Prays Censored31 is Dead

Is it too much to wish for that this is Censored31?

An man of Algerian origin killed by Belgian police in a shoot-out on a motorway Tuesday was suspected of terrorist links, the Belga news agency reported, citing a spokesman for the federal prosecutor...

The investigation showed that the man was buying arms and other equipment such as bullet-proof clothing, and had linked him to an armed robbery of a restaurant, Belga said....

A search later of his home in Anderlecht, a suburb of Brussels, revealed arms, ammunition and explosives, plus other equipment which Belga said the police would put on display on Wednesday.

The shoot-out took place early afternoon on the motorway from Brussels to the southern city of Tournai as the police chased the man down.

Ah, who am I kidding: Censored31 is far too big of a pussy to ever follow through on his deep held belief that al Qaeda is doing God's work.

Syrian War Spilling Over into Lebanon

As much as I love the Lebanese people (and food!) if I've said it once I've said it a million times: when you allow a terrorist group to openly operate in your country it's kind of hard for me to feel sorry when the place goes to sh*t:

The Syrian civil war is spilling into the city of Tripoli, the second largest in Lebanon. Sunni Muslims in the poor neighborhood of Bab al-Tabbaneh are at war with an Alawite militia in the adjacent hilltop neighborhood of Jebel Mohsen that supports Bashar al-Assad’s regime. Last week there was even a shootout at a hospital, of all places.

So far this is hardly original. What makes this conflict absurdly unusual is that segments of the Lebanese army are protecting both militias, and they’re doing so on behalf of a foreign government—Syria’s.

Abu Qatada Hides Behind Kuffar Law

You always hear about how Muslims want Sharia. How they'd like the UK to be more like their homeland with law based on Islam.

Yet when they get a chance to go to court in an Arab nation where laws are based on Islam or use Islamic common and religious law, they get all chickenshit.

Home Secretary Theresa May has lost her appeal against a ruling preventing the deportation of preacher Abu Qatada.

She acted after the Special Immigration Appeals Commission said the radical cleric could not be returned to Jordan.

Judges say he could face an unfair trial involving evidence obtained by torturing others.

The Home Office said it would further appeal, adding: "This is not the end of the road. The government remains determined to deport Abu Qatada."

What's up with that?

The Oppression of Muslim Dreams in Denmark

Don't you bigots understand its just their culture to assemble a whole group, go to Europe and murder everything?

Once again we see young Muslims in the West getting the crazy idea that Islam sanctions mass murder. Yet Muslim spokesmen in the Europe and the U.S. routinely castigate as "Islamophobic" anyone who dares to explore what it is in the texts and teachings of Islam that makes some Muslims think this way. One would almost think that these spokesmen want to enable that violence by shutting down any attempt to analyze and resist it.
I think they were probably talking about a peaceful inner struggle to murder everything.

Muslim Brotherhood Using Mosques For Torture Chambers

"There is no longer anything to hold them back. The floodgates are open." - Shaul Gabbay, University of Denver professor on Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood

From FNC:

Islamic hard-liners stormed a mosque in suburban Cairo, turning it into torture chamber for Christians who had been demonstrating against the ruling Muslim Brotherhood in the latest case of violent persecution that experts fear will only get worse.

Such stories have become increasingly common as tensions between Egypt’s Muslims and Copts mount, but in the latest case, mosque officials corroborated much of the account and even filed a police report. Ballistics in Texas Match Those in Shooting Of Colorado Prison Official

The Denver Channel:

Analysis has matched the gun used by Evan Ebel in Texas to the murder of prison chief Tom Clements.

Clements was remembered Monday morning during a memorial service at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs. He was shot and killed last Tuesday when he answered the front door of his home.

Evan Spencer Ebel, killed in a gunfight with Texas authorities Thursday, is a suspect and had been linked to the 211 Crew, a white supremacist prison gang in Colorado.

So yes there is a so called RWE racist threat. Not to mention the LWE racist mommy threat. But it seems the Saudi connection and the Muslim extremist threat has been eliminated in this case.

"Gun Owner" In Bloomberg Ads Violates Basic Gun Safety

The Washington Times via Gateway Pundit:

Mike Bloomberg is spending $12 million on attack ads designed to force U.S. senators to vote for national gun control laws that will supposedly save lives. However, the New York mayor's commercials running in 13 states over the next two weeks could cause injury or death by showcasing irresponsible handling of a firearm.

Mr. Bloomberg's organization, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, produced two ads featuring a man holding a shotgun, wearing plaid flannel with a camouflage cap and sitting on the tailgate of a pickup truck. While a child swings on a tire in the background, the man says, "I support comprehensive background checks so criminals and the dangerously mentally ill can't buy guns."

The ad does not specify if the man is an actor, but the text accompanying it says he is a "gun owner." Either way, the man violates all three gun safety rules taught by the National Rifle Association (NRA).

The first rule is to always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction. In this case, the children are playing in the yard. Although the viewers can't see what is to the side of the truck, the man should be pointing the muzzle in the air or at the ground.

The second NRA rule is always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.

In the ad "Responsibility," the man has his finger on the trigger, as if ready to shoot. While doing this, he says, "I believe in the Second Amendment, and I'll fight to protect it. But with rights come responsibilities." To make an ad demonstrating actual gun responsibility, the man would put a straight forefinger above the trigger guard to make sure he doesn’t accidentally touch the trigger.

The third NRA safety rule is always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.

I don't think this was a mistake. I think it was intentional, subliminal, anti-gun imagery - a man with a gun behaving irresponsibly, a child in the background on a swing, an accident waiting to happen... It was deliberate, I believe.

Related: Bloomberg thinks citizens should surrender certain rights if the government infringes on them.

Mark Kelly's Pit Bull Mauls Baby Seal On Beach

Leftist Mark Kelly (former Rep. Gabriel Giffords's husband) lost control of his daughter's pit bull on a beach. The dog mauled to death a baby seal:

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. (AP) - Amateur video shows former astronaut Mark Kelly, the husband of former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, yanking away a dog that clamped down on a baby sea lion at a California beach. [...]

Police say the dog broke from its leash, and no laws were broken.

Notice the media is spinning this like a heroic deed, as though Kelly pulled just a random dog off the seal. In fact, it was his family dog. He and his daughter were walking the dog and lost control of it.

Had any common person allowed their pit bull to roam free on a beach killing small animals, they would face all sorts of fines, not to mention possibly losing their dog.

(Hat Tip: Gateway Pundit who has the graphic video of the attack.)

Police Renege On Dorner Reward Money

I was supporting the police all the way in the Dorner case. Dorner was a nutjob who murdered innocent people. He deserved whatever he got. But the people who helped the police locate him don't deserve to get screwed over the reward.

The city of Riverside is pulling its pledge of $100,000 toward the $1 million reward offered during the manhunt for rogue ex-LAPD officer Christopher Dorner.

Dorner died in an apparent suicide during a standoff with authorities and cabin burning near Big Bear last month.

Because the Riverside City Council resolution stipulated the money was for information leading to Dorner's arrest and conviction, the city will withdraw its pledge because neither condition was met, Riverside city spokeswoman Cindie Perry told NBCLA.

Riverside police officer Michael Crain was among four people killed by Dorner.

The city's move comes a day after a peace officers' union president told the Los Angeles Times that his organization was placing its pledge on hold, and said other donors had expressed similar misgivings.

The witnesses did exactly what the reward was meant to do - give police a location on the elusive killer. But now greed has taken hold of the city and the peace officers' union.

This only goes to show, if the government or unions offer a reward for anything, they will rescind the offer once their goal is achieved.

Passover for Cross Worshippers

Passover, its for everyone. Not just, you know..

Jesus Comforts His Disciples

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know[b] my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”

Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.

Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

“If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?”

Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

"All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

“You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe. I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me, but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me.

“Come now; let us leave.

Pallywood FAIL: Boy With "Hurt Leg" Has His Arm Put In A Sling

Via The Commentator:

This video was distributed as Palestinian children being beaten and detained by Israeli Defense Forces

Hamas is oblivious to the obvious as well as their followers on Twitter:

The video Hamas tweeted had this about: "The soldiers beat up three Palestinian Kids in Hebron , one of them was injured in the leg , soldier dragged them , beat them up , arrested them . , then released them. Issa"

I nicely replied to Hamas, well made fun of the video.

I guess it's hard for Palis to find good actors these days for their propaganda. So much FAIL.

Jizya tax is the extra tax imposed on non-Muslims who live under Muslim rule according to the Qur'an and hadith.

Seattle Jihadi Gets 18 Years

He wanted to kill military recruits, our nations finest. I'm thinking 18 years is a little on the light side, but it's a result of a plea deal, so kinda expected:

Abu Khalid Abdul-Latif, 35, was nabbed after a rapist he tried to recruit went to police; he was arrested in a sting operation before he could attack the Military Entrance Processing Station, an induction center where young recruits to all military branches take their oaths and are sent to basic training.

The would-be terrorist planned to storm the East Marginal Way South center alongside Los Angeles resident Walli Mujahidh and the informant. Once inside, they were to open fire with automatic weapons and grenades on the Department of Defense workers and new recruits headed to basic training in the hope of killing as many as possible before being killed or captured.

Speaking of rapists, I hope he shares a cell with one.

Hamas Funded By Slave & Organ Trade

[Image credit from site accusing Israel of harvesting Palis organs]

When Hamas accuses Israel of ' harvesting human organs', in truth, Hamas is only speaking of themselves and their own slave/organ trade. Kinda like look away world, it's the Juice!

Via Money Jihad

Sudanese and East African flesh peddlers aligned with Hamas terrorists are ransoming captives and engaging in the trade of human organs to buy weapons for jihad. This information does not come from right-wing Cassandras, but from CNN’s own correspondent in Berlin, Frederik Pleitgen.

The wages of this shameful trade are $35 million annually, says Pleitgen, in a completely overlooked but significant piece entitled “Human trafficking in the Sinai: to fight it we need to know it,” last month on the human rights webpage EveryOne. Here are some of his most salient points:

[...]“Some of the major traffickers, including Abu Ahmed and Abu Khaled, have declared in interviews reported in the media, to be part of Hamas. In Sudan, through this massive fundraising activity focused on the abduction and sale of human beings, they are preparing the future stages of the war against the “infidels,” Western culture and the State of Israel.”

[T]he Kalashnikovs in possession of Hamas militants are bought with profits from the slave and human organs trade.”

Bloomberg: Americans Should Surrender Freedoms When Government Infringes

From The Washington Times:

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said on Sunday: Sometimes government does know best. And in those cases, Americans should just cede their rights.

"I do think there are certain times we should infringe on your freedom," Mr. Bloomberg said, during an appearance on NBC. He made the statement during discussion of his soda ban — just shot down by the courts — and insistence that his fight to control sugary drink portion sizes in the city would go forth.

"We"? As in government or as in elitists? "Your"? He doesn't include himself or other governmental officials. He isn't including his own freedoms. He speaks as though the government is a separate entity from the people of the United States.

We are not voting for nannies, for parents, for caregivers, for masters, or for tyrants. We are voting for representatives - for select equals to give our collective voices a podium so we can all be heard.

It is "We the People of the United States," not "the People and the Government." If the government is made up of the People, then to whom is Bloomberg suggesting we cede our freedoms?

Shabaab, AQAP Operative Pleads Guilty

What's interesting here is that he pleaded guilty back in December, but they're just now announcing it:

Guilty Plea Unsealed in New York Involving Ahmed Warsame, a Senior Terrorist Leader and Liaison Between al Shabaab and al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, for Providing Material Support to Both Terrorist Organizations

Warsame was al Shabaab’s Emissary to AQAP and Arranged for al Shabaab to Purchase Weapons Directly from AQAP

NEW YORK, NY—Preet Bharara, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and John Carlin, Acting Assistant Attorney General for National Security, announced today the unsealing of the guilty plea of Ahmed Abdulkadir Warsame to a nine-count indictment charging him with providing material support to al Shabaab and al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP)—two designated foreign terrorist organizations—as well as conspiring to teach and demonstrate the making of explosives, possessing firearms and explosives in furtherance of crimes of violence, and other violations. Warsame pleaded guilty on December 21, 2011, before U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon in Manhattan federal court as part of a cooperation agreement with the United States.

Warsame, a Somali national in his mid-20s, was captured in the Gulf of Aden between Somalia and Yemen by the U.S. military on April 19, 2011, and was questioned for intelligence purposes for more than two months. Thereafter, Warsame was read his Miranda rights, and, after waiving those rights, he spoke to law enforcement agents for several days. Warsame arrived in the Southern District of New York on July 5, 2011.

Manhattan U.S. Attorney Bharara said, “The capture of Ahmed Warsame and his lengthy interrogation for intelligence purposes, followed by his thorough questioning by law enforcement agents, was an intelligence watershed. The handling of Warsame represents a seamless orchestration by our military, intelligence, and law enforcement agencies that significantly furthered our ability to find, fight and apprehend those who wish to do us harm. Warsame’s capture, cooperation, and prosecution is a major victory for the United States, for its citizens and for justice.”

Acting Assistant Attorney General for National Security Carlin said, “Ahmed Warsame served as a critical link between two foreign terrorist organizations and was an operational terrorist leader, commanding hundreds of fighters. His capture, successful interrogation, and guilty plea demonstrate how U.S. military, intelligence, and law enforcement assets coordinate to neutralize threats and protect the country. I thank all those responsible for this important operation.”

According to the indictment, Warsame’s sworn guilty plea allocution before Judge McMahon, and other public information:

From 2007 until April 2011, Warsame conspired with others, including American citizens, to provide material support to al Shabaab. He fought as a soldier on behalf of al Shabaab in Somalia in 2009 and provided other forms of support to the terrorist organization, including explosives, weapons, and training. In addition, Warsame possessed and used destructive devices, machine guns, and an AK-47 semi-automatic assault weapon in Somalia in support of al Shabaab.

Warsame also brokered a weapons deal, arranging for al Shabaab to purchase weapons directly from AQAP. From 2009 until April 2011, he conspired with others, including American citizens, to provide material support to AQAP in the form of money, training, communications equipment, and personnel. While Warsame was in Yemen in 2010 and 2011, he received weapons, explosives and other military-type training from the terrorist organization. In addition, he possessed and used grenades and an AK-47 semi-automatic assault weapon in Yemen in support of AQAP.

From 2010 until April 2011, Warsame conspired to teach and demonstrate the making of explosives and instruct other terrorists and would-be terrorists how to do so. Specifically, Warsame received training in explosives directly from members of AQAP, intending to share that training with al Shabaab when he returned to Somalia.

Warsame was captured at sea by the U.S. in April 2011 on his way back to Somalia from Yemen.

Al Shabaab was designated by the U.S. Department of State as a foreign terrorist organization in February 2008. AQAP was so designated in January 2010.

Warsame pleaded guilty to all nine counts of the indictment with which he was charged, and he faces the possibility of life in prison. The charges and maximum penalties are reflected in the below chart.

Mr. Bharara praised the extraordinary investigative work of the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, which principally consists of agents from the FBI and detectives from the New York Police Department. He also thanked the Department of Defense and the National Security Division of the Department of Justice.

This case is being handled by the Terrorism and International Narcotics Unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, with assistance from the Counterterrorism Section of the Justice Department’s National Security Division. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Benjamin Naftalis, Adam S. Hickey, Sean S. Buckley, and Anna Skotko are in charge of the prosecution.

And in Thailand

As long as I'm griping about Southeast Asia:

Five soldiers were wounded in a roadside bombing in Narathiwat province on Saturday afternoon.

The bomb was set off when a nine-man security unit (five on a military Humvee and four on two motorcycles) was patroling in Waeng district. The explosion, which destroyed the Humvee and left a crater one meter deep and one meter wide in the road, was caused by explosives hidden in a cooking gas cylinder.

Unlike in Burma, where it was Buddhist on Muslim violence (unusual, eh?), in Thailand it was the usual suspects blowing up the usual victims.

Myanmar: The Coming Jihad

Myanmar (always Burma in my book) looms on the horizon as the next place where jihadists will congregate. It may not be on any one else's radar, but the Salaafis have been complaining about the Buddhist majority's treatment of Muslims for the past year. As the violence ramps up, I expect the international Islamists to begin to organize around the issue:

Anti-Muslim mobs rampaged through three more towns in Myanmar's predominantly Buddhist heartland over the weekend, destroying mosques and burning dozens of homes despite government efforts to stem the nation's latest outbreak of sectarian violence.

President Thein Sein had declared an emergency in central Myanmar on Friday and deployed army troops to the worst-hit city, Meikhtila, where 32 people were killed and 10,000 mostly Muslim residents were displaced. But even as soldiers restored order there after several days of anarchy in which armed Buddhists torched the city's Muslim quarters, the unrest has spread south toward the capital, Naypyitaw.

Burma better get its act together and put a lid on this before this turns into a full scale insurgency. People will only take so much oppression, and if there's anything we've learned over the past 10 years is that Muslims don't complain much when one group of Muslims are oppressing another group of Muslims. But when the kafir are responsible, the gloves come off.

Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) Replaces Sploded Leader Abou Zeid With Yahya Abu Hammam aka Jemal Okacha

Zeid pre-sploded

Okacha soon? to be sploded, Allah willing

[Zeid image credit: The Daily Star]
[Okacha image credit: Bill Roggio]

Okacha was put on the US list of Specially Designated Global Terrorists in Feb of this year. So he is no stranger to the US although it took them long enough to put him on the list.

ALGIERS (Reuters) - Algerian Djamel Okacha has replaced Abdelhamid Abou Zeid as leader of al Qaeda-linked group AQIM in the Sahara region, Algerian Ennahar TV said on Sunday.

Abou Zeid was killed by Chadian soldiers in northern Mali a few weeks ago.

Okacha, also known as Yahia Abu El Hamam, joined AQIM northern Mali in 2004, a security source with knowledge of AQIM told Reuters.

"He was present at the attack against a military barracks in Mauritania in 2005, and he was also present in the killing of an American in 2009,"

the source said, referring to aid worker Christopher Leggett.[More]
A member of Okacha's AQIM group who murdered Leggett was given the death penalty in March of 2011
The [Mauritanian] court handed Mohamed Abdallahi Ould Ahmednah the death penalty for murdering the 39-year-old American. Sidi Mohamed Ould Bezeid was jailed for 12 years and Mahmoud Ould Khouna for three years, both for complicity.
Time to send Okacha to splodey status me thinks.

BTW, France confirmed the death yesterday of Zeid so this development confirms the above.

Words of advice to the brethren leaving for Jihād
by:martyred brother Sayyid ( rahimahullah.)

Know, may Allāh bless you and make you firm on the most trust worthy handhold, and on this religion, and may Allāh make knowledge easy for you, that if this path has been chosen by you as your way of life, if you have made the decision to walk this noble path, that is the path of Hijrah and Jihād, know that you have embraced a life of hardship and trials, a life of tears and sweat, a life of fear and sadness, a life also if thought about in depth, or if thought about its reality and what you are gaining by embracing this life, which Allāh opens on his truthful slave, it contains the inner happiness and peace, you will never loose, you will get the honor in this world and what Allāh has saved for you in the next is not known except to the Rabb who has bought from you, your wealth and soul.[...]

The points I wanted you to be aware of are:-

The pep talk goes on and on including a mention of 'democracy' equating it to devil worshiping.[Arab Spring reference]. Same ole 72 virgins pep talk with a sprinkling of young boys for their pleasure.

Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication.
And fruit; that they may choose. And the flesh of fowls that they desire.

'Quarantine Her"! Says Tunisian Islamist Regarding FEMEN Aminia's Topless Photo

Castrate him for offending her! Says me

A Tunisian Salafi preacher has called for a 19-year old girl who posted her topless pictures on Facebook to be “quarantined” and stoned to death before she starts “an epidemic.”

Tunisian newspaper AssabahNews quoted Salafi preacher Alami Adel, who heads the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, saying: “According to God’s law, she deserves 80 to 100 lashes, but what she committed is worth much more than that. She deserves to be stoned to death and she must be quarantined because what she did is an epidemic.”[More]

Let's hope this 'epidemic' continues to catch on. No one controls a woman's body except for that woman. Islamists hate losing control of females.

Sadly, her parents are also part of the problem.

Amina has been delivered by her parents to a psychiatric hospital in Tunis, according to reports received by FEMEN leader Inna Shevchenko in Paris and reported by the U.S. based magazine the Atlantic.

Tunisian media said that if Amina committed the offence in Tunisia, she could be punished by up to two years in prison and be given a fine between $60 and $600.

A petition and an international day of action on April 4 to highlight the threats against Amina have been organized by activists.[More]

Seriously Good News: Mother Of Martyrs, Maryam Farhat, Is Dead

Good riddance bitch.

Her death was celebrated by the Palis on the eve of Bronco Bama's visit, how fitting.

Umm Nidal (“mother of the struggle”: real name Maryam Farhat), who died three days ago at the age of 64, is a hero to Palestinians. That’s because three of her six sons were “martyrs”. The youngest, Muhammed, was only 17 when he died in a suicide attack against an Israeli military academy (the mother had encouraged him to engage in this “jihad”), another made explosives targeting civilians and was blown up by one of his drones, and the third was killed by Israeli intelligence.

After Muhammed died (taking with him five Israeli students and wounding 23), she thanked Allah and handed out boxes of chocolates and halvah. She was later elected to the Palestinian parliament.

Nidal’s funeral was attended by thousands of Palestinians and many dignitaries, including the Palestinian prime minister.

On the eve of Obama’s visit, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas paid homage to Nidal and gave her a special award, the “Order of Sacrifice.

[Read It All]

She had no heart as most of those in Gaza and so-called Palestine. In Bronco Bamas speech to students in Israel he mentioned the need for Israelis to think about how Palis feel. Put themselves in Palis shoes and what they are going through. Hell, if they did that they would off themselves as that is all the Palis think about, killing Jews.

From the river to the sea so to speak.

Two Arrests in Shooting of Baby in the Face

Whatever is done with these people, assuming they are found guilty. It won't be enough.

CNN: wo teenagers have been arrested in the shooting death of a 13-month-old boy who was in his stroller, according to police in Brunswick, Georgia.

The suspects are a 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy, Police Chief Tobe Green told reporters Friday. He said they are being held on suspicion of first-degree murder.

The boy tried to grab her purse and opened fire when she said tried to tell him she had no money, West said, grazing her head. She said the boy then shot her in the leg.

She continued, "And then, all of a sudden, he walked over and he shot my baby in the face."

Update Free Republic and several other sources are reporting this to be the Facebook profile of Demarquise Money-ville Elkins.

He is reported to be a member of a gang called the Midtown Goons. The profile matches the mugshot of Elkins.

He seems interested in money, may another dollar never pass through his hands.

Update: I'm not really getting why the MSM is leaving out Demarquise Money-ville Elkin's gang affiliations and quotes? What gives. Anyway I've saved the public portion of the Facebook page if anyone needs it.

Update II: Mommy alibi #FAIL.

he mother and the aunt of one of the two teenage boys accused of fatally shooting a 13-month-old boy in Brunswick, Georgia, last Thursday have been arrested by Brunswick Police, according to documents in the case.

Seventeen-year-old murder suspect De'Marquise Elkins' mother, Karimah Aisha Elkins, 36, and his aunt, Katrina Latrelle Elkins, 33, have been accused of "false statements or writings," and other charges, the complaint said.

A new blog called "Thumbs & Ammo" wants to see a thumbs-up replace guns in movies.

Especially ironic for a UK blog is the "Saving Private Ryan" thumbs up. I'm sure the outcome of World War 2 would have been exactly the same had we had the pacifist, anti-gun leadership we have today. /s

Fortunately, it wouldn't affect other weapons such as lightsabers...

American Jihadi From Seattle Imprisoned by al-Shabaab

Methinks that will put a damper on recruiting.

Young American aficionados of al Shabaab and al Qaeda (Europeans too): Listen up! You probably thought that if you joined Shabaab/al Qaeda you might eventually get thrown in jail. That’s a good bet. However, you probably also thought when you got thrown in jail it would be a U.S. jail or even worse a foreign jail of a U.S. counterterrorism partner. But, you would be wrong. The two most likely results of joining al Shabaab are:

Shabaab will eventually betray you and kill you.
Shabaab will throw you in Shabaab jail…(Even worse than being in a U.S. or foreign partner prison.)

... Today, revealed that the other American foreign fighter imprisoned by Shabaab may be Said Fidhin – an American from Seattle, Washington...

Also Omar went full retard today when he said he believed in attacking American interests as stated a recent FBI press release. So that leaves the number of folks willing to cut Omar a break at a big fat zero. Karma is bound to catch up with him, and soon methinks.

Its sad for the mothers, fathers, widows and orphans. But if for some reason a drone or Shabaab found Omar in bay/bokol I'd care a lot less than I did yesterday.

Update: Speaking of Bakool.

A veritable paradise.

Islamic Sermon: A Beard Prevents Men From Being Gay

Or something like that...

FYI, mustaches work just the opposite way, arousing Jihadists when they see one:

"Mashoom's Mustache Physically Excites Me!" ~Emerson "Goatly" Begolly

That's why many straight Jihadists have a beard but no mustache. Seriously. That's a fact. No, really. The ones with beards and mustaches are bi-sexual. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just sayin'.

The beard enforcer - not gay at all!

Terrorist Designations of Ansar al-Dine

US Dept of State.

The Department of State has designated Ansar al-Dine (AAD) as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) under Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act and as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist entity under Executive Order (E.O.) 13224, which targets terrorists and those providing support to terrorists or acts of terrorism. As a result of the designation, U.S. persons are prohibited from knowingly providing material support or resources to AAD, and all property subject to U.S. jurisdiction in which AAD has any interest is blocked and U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in transactions with the organization or to its benefit.

AAD has also been listed by the United Nations 1267/1989 al-Qa’ida Sanctions Committee. The UN listing requires all member states to implement an assets freeze, a travel ban, and an arms embargo against AAD. The UN action demonstrates international resolve to eliminate AAD’s violent activities in Mali and the surrounding region.

Ansar al-Dine is an organization operating in Mali which cooperates closely with al-Qa’ida in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization. AAD was created in late 2011 after AAD’s leader, Iyad ag Ghali, failed in an attempt to take over a secular Tuareg organization due to his extremist views. Ghali was designated by the Department of State under E.O. 13224 on February 26, 2013.

AAD has received support from AQIM since its inception in late 2011, and continues to maintain close ties to the group. AAD has received backing from AQIM in its fight against Malian and French forces, most notably in the capture of the Malian towns of Agulhok, Tessalit, Kidal, Gao, and Timbuktu, between January and April 2012. In AAD’s March 2012 attack against the town of Aguelhok, the group executed 82 Malian soldiers and kidnapped 30 more. Before the French intervention in January 2013, Malian citizens in towns under AAD’s control who did not comply with AAD’s laws faced harassment, torture, or execution.

Hat Tip: Long War Journal.

As of today a search on JihadTube for Ansar al-Dine returns, "About 4,640 results". Better get busy sorting through there Google.

Remember When Canada Used To Send Suicide Bombers To The US To Blow Up Buses And Pizzerias?

Then the US erected huge walls to keep the Canadian terrorists out and Canada was all like, "OCCUPIERS!" and the US was like, "SELF DEFENSE!" and Canada was like, "DISPROPORTIONATE FORCE!" and the US was like, "LEAVE US ALONE!" and Canada was like, "DEATH TO AMERICA!"?

Yeah, I don't either.

At his press conference Thursday with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, President Barack Obama chose an unusual example to drive home his belief that peace between Israelis and Palestinians is possible. [...]

FAU Student Suspended For Refusing To Step On The Name 'Muhammad'

A Florida Atlantic University's Intercultural Communications class professor had students write the name "Muhammad" on a piece of paper and then step on it. One student refused and was suspended.

Well, not really. The professor ordered the students to step on the name "Jesus" not "Muhammad."

You didn't really think this liberal instructor was that brave, did you?

BOCA RATON (CBS4) – A student at Florida Atlantic University said he was unfairly suspended from his Intercultural Communications class because he refused to step on Jesus.

Ryan Rotella, a junior from Coral Springs, said the incident began when his professor, Dr. Deandre Poole, asked students in the class to write the word “Jesus” on a piece of paper, fold it up, and step on it.

Rotella, a deeply religious Mormon, told CBS12 that he was offended and refused to participate in the exercise.

Had it been the name "Muhammad," the professor would have been fired, outraged Muslim students would be protesting, CAIR would have been launching campaigns against the university, Eric Holder would be investigating the professor for hate crimes, and the student involved would look like Obama's son if he had one.

But since it was "Jesus," suspend the student and carry on.

FBI Offers $5 Million Reward for Two Americans in Somalia

One of we know quite well around here, it's the Alabama born Omar Hammami. Incidentally, I told Omar this morning that I'd gladly split the reward with his family if he'd just tweet me his location. You can buy a lot of donkeys with that kind of cash.

I'm still waiting.

But the other one? The Waukesha, Wisconsin born Jehad Serwan Mostafa is new to me:

Jehad Serwan Mostafa, a.k.a. Ahmed Gurey, Anwar al-Amriki, or Emir Anwar; is a United States citizen and former resident of California. He has performed various functions for al-Shabaab, including acting as a training camp instructor and a leader of foreign fighters. He is also skilled in the group’s media activities. Mostafa is an American citizen who lived in San Diego, California before moving to Somalia in 2005. He may have or is likely to visit the following areas: Somalia, Yemen, Ethiopia, Kenya, and other African countries.

Mostafa is on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorists List, and is sought by the FBI for his alleged terrorist activities. On October 9, 2009, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Mostafa in the United States District Court, Southern District of California. Mostafa was charged with the following crimes: conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists; conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization; and providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization.

That picture they have of Mostafa is pretty bad. I mean, he could be half the guys who deliver pizza to my house. Can't they come up with a better one than that?

Anyway, if anyone knows the whereabouts of these guys just drop a line to your friendly local FBI office.

And no smart ass "locations", like calling the Feds and saying they're in Somalia.

Somalia? No sh*t? Wow, thanks for the tip smart ass!

Colorado Prison Chief Execution Linked To Saudi National?

Fox31 Denver reports:

DENVER — Investigators looking into the shooting death of the director of the Colorado Department of Corrections will look at the possibility that Tom Clements' murder may be tied to the recent decision not to grant a transfer of a Saudi man in a Colorado prison.

Homaidan Al-Turki was convicted in 2006 of unlawful sexual contact by use of force and other charges. Prosecutors said he sexually assaulted a housekeeper and kept her as a virtual slave for four years.

His conviction angered Saudi officials. The U.S. State Department sent Colorado Attorney General John Suthers to Saudi Arabia to meet with King Abdullah, Crown Prince Sultan and Al-Turki’s family.

Last week, Colorado prison officials denied a request from the Saudi Arabian government to release Al-Turki to his home country to serve his life sentence.

Prosecutors opposed Al-Turki's transfer fearing he would be released upon return to Saudi Arabia.

Celments was the one who decided to deny the transfer. He wrote in a letter to Al-Turki that because Al-Turki refused to undergo sex offender treatment in prison, "I have decided not to support your request for transfer to Saudi Arabia at this time," reported the Associated Press.

Under Islamic law, keeping a sex slave is not a crime. This means Al-Turki would likely be freed once on Saudi soil.

Austrian GIMF Founder Arrested (Again)

Reports from Turkey claim that one of the founding members of the Global Islamic Media Front (GIMF) has been arrested in Turkey while trying to make his way to Syria. Mohammad Mahmoud, also known as "Abu Usama al-Gharib" had previously served four years in a German prison for making threats against US interests in Germany. On his release, he helped form the Milatu Ibrahim group which distributed propaganda in favor of violent jihad.

Apparently, Mahmoud doesn't mind the cornhole thing all that much. Here's a Google translation of a German paper:

The Austrian and Islamist terror suspects Mohamed Mahmoud alias "Abu Usama al-Gharib" was arrested on Tuesday in Turkey. According to information from German security circles of radical Islamic preachers near the provincial Hattay was arrested at the Turkish-Syrian border. Mahmoud was apparently on his way to Syria and was traveling on a forged passport from a north African country.
Let's hope he's kept off the streets for a bit longer this time. H/T:@FlorianFlade

Al Qaeda Operative Indicted in NY

This is interesting inasmuch as "Spin Ghul" was a trained al Qaeda operative and committed all his crimes outside the US. It appears that we are slowly but surely moving toward a two tiered model when dealing with al Qaeda. We kill then when we can, but if captured they will now be prosecuted in our normal criminal courts.

I'm not complaining as our criminal courts seem to be handing out longer sentences than our 'military tribunals', which have released all sorts of illegal combatants who were caught in the act of trying to do harm to US soldiers. Contrast that to our criminal courts which now routinely hand down 20 year sentences for the mere act of conspiracy.

A six-count indictment was unsealed today in United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York charging Ibrahim Suleiman Adnan Adam Harun, also known as “Spin Ghul,” with conspiracy to murder American military personnel in Afghanistan, conspiracy to bomb American diplomatic facilities in Nigeria, conspiracy to provide material support to al Qaeda, providing material support to al Qaeda, and related firearms and explosives counts. The indictment was returned under seal by a federal grand jury sitting in Brooklyn, New York on February 21, 2012, and relates to Harun’s alleged activities in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Africa beginning in 2001.

The charges were announced by Loretta E. Lynch, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York; John Carlin, Acting Assistant Attorney General for National Security; George Venizelos, Assistant Director in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation, New York Field Office; and Raymond W. Kelly, Commissioner, New York City Police Department.

According to court documents, Harun, who was born in Saudi Arabia but claims citizenship in Niger, was extradited from Italy to the United States on October 4, 2012, and arraigned in a sealed proceeding in federal court in Brooklyn, New York on October 5, 2012. The case is scheduled for a public status conference before United States District Judge Edward R. Korman at the United States Courthouse, 225 Cadman Plaza East, Brooklyn, New York, on March 22, 2013, at 2:30 p.m.

Harun is charged with crimes related to his alleged terrorist activities on behalf of al Qaeda beginning in 2001. According to the indictment and other court documents, beginning in 2001, the defendant traveled from Saudi Arabia to Afghanistan with the intent to fight violent jihad. He arrived in Afghanistan shortly before the September 11, 2001 attacks. He then joined al Qaeda, received military-type training at al Qaeda training camps, and ultimately fought against United States and Coalition forces in Afghanistan with an al Qaeda fighting group based in Pakistan. According to the indictment, Harun allegedly attempted to kill United States military personnel in Afghanistan between 2002 and 2003. In 2003, in Pakistan, Harun received further al Qaeda training and traveled to Africa with the intent to conduct attacks on United States diplomatic facilities in Nigeria. While in Nigeria, Harun allegedly conspired with others to bomb such facilities.

According to the indictment and other documents, after the arrest of a co-conspirator, the defendant traveled to Libya, en route to Europe, but was apprehended in early 2005. The defendant then remained in Libyan custody until June 2011, when he was released by the Libyan government. He was then arrested by Italian authorities after assaulting officers on board a refugee ship bound for Italy. As noted, the defendant was indicted in the United States on February 21, 2012, and charged with (1) conspiring to murder United States nationals; (2) conspiring to bomb United States government facilities; (3) conspiring to provide material support to al Qaeda; (4) providing material support to al Qaeda; (5) using firearms in furtherance of crimes of violence; and (6) using explosives in furtherance of one or more felonies.

On July 5, 2012, the Naples Court of Appeals found the defendant extraditable to face the charges in the indictment pending against him in U.S. federal court, pursuant to the bilateral extradition treaty between the United States and Italy. On September 14, 2012, the Italian Minister of Justice ordered the defendant extradited. Federal agents took the defendant into custody in Italy on October 4, 2012, and he arrived in the United States on that same day.

If convicted of all the charges in the indictment, Harun faces a maximum possible sentence of life in prison.

“As alleged in the indictment, the defendant was a prototype al Qaeda operative, trained by al Qaeda in terrorist tradecraft, deployed to fight American servicemen, and dispatched to commit terrorist attacks throughout the world,” said United States Attorney Lynch. “Whether they try to attack our servicemen on the battlefield or scheme to kill our diplomats and citizens in embassies abroad, terrorists will find no refuge. The United States will use every tool at our disposal to protect our nation’s security and stop terrorist attacks before they happen.” Ms. Lynch expressed her gratitude to the law enforcement personnel who took part in the investigation, including Department of Defense Army investigators. She also thanked the Italian Ministry of Justice, the Prosecutor’s Office in Palermo, Italy, and other Italian police authorities in their support of the investigation and extradition of the defendant.

“The indictment unsealed today seeks to hold accountable an alleged al Qaeda operative who targeted U.S. personnel and diplomatic facilities across two continents. His arrest and extradition to the United States are important milestones in our ongoing counterterrorism efforts. I thank the many agents, analysts, and prosecutors who brought about this significant case,” said Acting Assistant Attorney General for National Security Carlin.

FBI Assistant Director in Charge Venizelos said, “Vowing allegiance to al Qaeda and training to commit violent jihad are not the worst of Harun’s alleged crimes. The allegations include actually attacking U.S troops and plotting to use explosives to kill U.S. diplomats. As alleged, Harun not only intended to but did commit acts of terrorism against Americans. Now he is subject to the American justice system. We remain committed to protecting the safety of Americans and our national security.”

Police Commissioner Kelly said, “As more al Qaeda operatives continue to be flushed from hiding, the NYPD remains vigilant to the fact that terrorists have repeatedly since 9/11 plotted to kill more Americans. We are determined not to let that happen. I want to commend our federal partners and the U.S. Attorney in the prosecution of this important case.”

The government’s case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys David Bitkower, Shreve Ariail, and Amanda Hector of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. Assistance was provided by Alamdar Hamdani, Joseph Kaster, and Annamartine Salick of the Counterterrorism Section of the Justice Department’s National Security Division and by William Nardini of the Justice Department’s Office of International Affairs.

The charges contained in the indictment are merely allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

Report: Dark Knight Shooter Now Muslim

I have often posited that it is difficult for sane people to live with evil deeds. It creates not cognitive, but a moral dissonance within us. The Nazis tried to convince themselves that killing Jews was a good thing. Terrorists try to convince themselves that the innocents killed weren't really innocent, but compliment actors in some great global conspiracy against them.

You get the point. In order to live with obvious fact that what we've done is evil, we tell ourselves a story -- try to convince ourselves -- otherwise.

Up until now I've only supposed that this was true in the case of the sane. Sociopaths don't need to convince themselves that what they've done wasn't evil because they are beyond that part of human sentiment which connects us to other people.

I guess I was wrong:

James Holmes, the gunman behind the Dark Knight massacre in Colorado last July, has reportedly turned Muslim and prays five times a day....

The source said Holmes has turned to Islam as a way of justifying his horrific murder spree in an Aurora, Colorado cinema on July 20 which left 12 people dead and 58 people wounded.

'He has brainwashed himself into believing he was on his own personal jihad and that his victims were infidels,' a prison source told the National Enquirer.

I've often said that insane and terrorist are not mutually exclusive categories. Meaning that a person can be driven to evil deeds by a pinch of the crazy mixed with a cup of Salaafi jihadism.

But that is based on the notion that these two things caused the evil action. They precede the action.

What we have here is a case of a crazy person doing something evil, and then after the fact turning to an evil ideology in order to justify it.

It's something for my Salaafi readers to think about (I'm looking at you Omar): if what you believe in isn't evil, then why is your philosophy being used to justify evil?

If we have the timeline correct here and Holmes turned to a particularly onerous version of Islam in jail, I also have to wonder what is going on in Colorado? Who is preaching this brand of Islam to Omar? He had to have learned it somehow, right? Is there an Imam who is preaching this to inmates? Is the Imam receiving a public salary? Is there Salaafi literature in the library?

Remember, if Colorado is like most other states then Holmes isn't in prison, he's in County lockup while awaiting trial. So, what the hell is going on at the facility Holmes is at?

Thanks to FAB.

Man Arrested for Making Bomb Threats Against Courthouses in Five States

mug-shot-25949511.jpgSource FBI.

Stephen D. Anthony, Special Agent in Charge of the Cleveland Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), for the Northern District of Ohio, and Steven M. Dettelbach, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, announce the arrest of Lonny L. Bristow.

A series of bomb threats were telephonically received at courthouses in the states of Nebraska, Washington, Oregon, Tennessee, and Mississippi beginning in November throughout the month of December 2012.

The initial investigation carried out by the FBI Knoxville Division revealed prepaid calling cards used to make bomb threat calls in Tennessee on November 27, 2012, were purchased at the Walmart Supercenter in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. The Cleveland FBI continued the investigation and discovered that a Lonny Lee Bristow had purchased a pre-paid calling card on November 27, 2012 at the Walmart Supercenter in Upper Sandusky. Through additional investigative methods, it was determined that Lonny Lee Bristow had purchased several pre-paid calling cards and those pre-paid calling cards were linked to the false bomb threats placed to various courthouses spanning five states.

“Lonny Bristow induced panic in hundreds of people across several states who were simply trying to do their work,” said Stephen D. Anthony. “The FBI will continue efforts to aggressively pursue charges against anyone, such as Mr. Bristow, who chooses to make reckless and malicious bomb threats.”

Here is a press report on one of the Bomb Threats. Googling Lonny Lee Bristow Ohio is also pretty productive.

FBI presser continues below the fold.

“The FBI did a tremendous job in piecing this case together,” said Steven M. Dettelbach.

A search warrant was executed at the residence of Lonny Lee Bristow on March 19, 2013. Pursuant to the affidavit and signed search and seizure warrant, agents seized computers, digital storage devices, other electronic equipment, documents, bank cards, weapons, and ammunition.

Lonny Lee Bristow was taken into custody on March 20, 2013, in the Mansfield, Ohio area without incident. His initial appearance is scheduled for March 21, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cleveland Federal Courthouse.

Lonny Lee Bristow has been charged with one count of Title 18, U.S.C. 844(e), which states: through the use of the mail, telephone, and other instrument of interstate or foreign commerce or in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce willfully made a threat and maliciously conveyed false information knowing the same to be false concerning an attempt or alleged attempt to damage or destroy any building by means of an explosive.

A complaint is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. The defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

In traditional fashion, trying to kill Jews.

Israeli police say no injuries have been reported after two rockets slammed into an Israel-Gaza border town during President Obama's first visit to the country.

A police spokesperson tells Fox News one of the qassam rockets landed in a yard of a home in the city of Sderot in Southern Israel. The other landed in an open field. Sirens wailed in Sderot shortly after the 7 a.m. rocket attack, forcing residents on their way to work or school to run to bomb shelters.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News, Israeli President Shimon Peres said the rockets "remind us there is a reality" beyond the vision of peace.

Gauss Aimed at Iranian Banking System?

Money in an Iranian bank? Might be safer in Cypress.

Gauss. A novel scheme encrypting one of its main engines has so far defied attempts to crack it, generating intrigue and raising speculation that it may deliver a warhead that's more destructive than anything the world has seen before.

Gauss has the ability to steal funds and monitor data from clients of several Lebanese banks, making it the first publicly known nation-state sponsored banking trojan. It's also programmed to collect a dizzying array of information about the computers it infects—including its network connections, processes and folders, BIOS, CMOS, RAM, and both local and removable drives.

But the most intriguing characteristic of Gauss is an encrypted payload that has so far remained undeciphered, despite the best efforts of cryptographers who have already tried millions of possible keys.
"Given how careful the attackers were to make sure the Gauss payload doesn't fall into the 'wrong' hands, we can assume it is very special."

Looks Like Internet Anthropologist Hit a Soft Spot

Reading Gerald's post on Pakistani ISI's involvement in the hiding of Osama bin-Laden seems to have upset Altaf Hussain leader of the Muttahida Quami.

SI did have OBL house under surveillance, as part of ISI General command agreement. OBL wasn't to be directly involved in any terrorist activities. And ISI was watching the comings and goings at OBL's house.

The ISI surveillance team noted choppers but didn't report anything till they heard gun fire and reported in and also called the police.

But ISI did go thru channels and produced the only smoking gun, they dispatched two Pak jets to a private residence. Which revealed their knowledge
of who was living there by dispatching the jets.

The pak jets were intercepted by S jets and lit up their HUDs, withwarnings of being lit up by US jets before the US jets were even with in Pak jets radar range.

The above brought Altaf Hussain out of the woodwork to deflect the report with accusations of, you know, Juice!

At any rate, this is going to cost Colorado jobs as companies like Magpul flee the state. So the headline stands.

Two Czech Women Abducted in SW Pakistan

hanka_tonca_domu_unosx.jpgIf we can put aside for a moment the stupidity of traveling to SW Pakistan, for any reason, let alone being female and western, two women are missing.

Radio Prague: The Czech Republic has intensified diplomatic efforts to try to secure the release of two Czech women kidnapped in south-west Pakistan last week. No one has claimed responsibility for the abduction or asked for a ransom. Although the Pakistani authorities are working on the case, previous kidnappings in the troubled province suggest it may take weeks to find them.

The two young women, both in their mid-20s, were on the road to Quetta, the capital of Pakistan’ south-west Baluchistan province, accompanied by a police escort, when their van was stopped by a group of armed assailants and all three were seized. The police guard was later released and the young tourists were forced into a brown Land Rover and smuggled away to an unknown destination. The identity of the assailants remains unknown and no request for a ransom has so far been made. The Czech Foreign Ministry says that while communication channels with the local authorities are open no immediate results can be expected. Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzeberg:

We pray they are found and returned safely, but its not very likely and we don't expect it.

Middle School Principal Cancels 'Honors Night' Because It Might Upset Students Who Didn't Make The Grades

A Massachusetts principal has been criticized for canceling his school's Honors Night, saying it could be 'devastating' to the students who worked hard, but fell short of the grades. reports that David Fabrizio, principal of Ipswich Middle School, notified parents last week of his plan to eliminate the event.

"The Honors Night, which can be a great sense of pride for the recipients' families, can also be devastating to a child who has worked extremely hard in a difficult class but who, despite growth, has not been able to maintain a high grade-point average," Fabrizio penned in his first letter to parents, the station reported.

But, apparently, it's okay to devastate the kids who worked hard and achieved academic honors...

Sandcrawler PSA: Your Neighbors are Probably Leftist Assholes

Protein Wisdom:

New Jersey police and Dept. of Children and Families officials raided the home of a firearms instructor and demanded to see his guns after he posted a Facebook photo of his 11-year-old son holding a rifle.

“Someone called family services about the photo,” said Evan Nappen, an attorney representing Shawn Moore. “It led to an incredible, heavy-handed raid on his house. They wanted to see his gun safe, his guns and search his house. They even threatened to take his kids.”

Also claiming your 2nd and 4th amendment rights is suspicious.
With his attorney on speaker phone, Moore instructed the officers to leave his home.

“I was told I was being unreasonable and that I was acting suspicious because I wouldn’t open my safe,” Moore wrote on the Delaware Open Carry website.

“They told me they were going to get a search warrant. I told them to go ahead.”

Apparently the Judge did not agree with the police's attempt to do his job for him and no warrant was issued.

BROOKLYN—A six-count indictment was unsealed today in United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York charging Ibrahim Suleiman Adnan Adam Harun, also known as “Spin Ghul,” with conspiracy to murder American military personnel in Afghanistan, conspiracy to bomb American diplomatic facilities in Nigeria, conspiracy to provide material support to al Qaeda, providing material support to al Qaeda, and related firearms and explosives counts.

(presser continues below the fold, if anyone has a link the .pdf of the indictment please tweet to @darthodieus)

DHS Gives Country That Produced 15 Of The 9/11 Hijackers 'Low-Risk, Trusted Traveler' Status

From FNC:

A Department of Homeland Security program intended to give "trusted traveler" status to low-risk airline passengers soon will be extended to Saudi travelers, opening the program to criticism for accommodating the country that produced 15 of the 19 hijackers behind the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Sources voiced concern about the decision to the Investigative Project on Terrorism, which issued a report Wednesday on the under-the-radar announcement -- which was first made by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano after meeting in January with her Saudi counterpart. According to the IPT, this would be the first time the Saudi government has been given such a direct role in fast-tracking people for entry into the United States.

Duh! Syrian Rebels Often Murder Prisoners

Syrian rebels routinely kill captured soldiers and suspected regime informers, human rights monitors said Thursday, warning of mounting war crimes committed by those trying to topple President Bashar Assad.

Reports of rebel abuses come as the Syrian opposition appears to be gaining momentum in a 2-year-old conflict that, according to the U.N., has killed more than 70,000 people.

While we often her in the press about these types of murders, yes killing POW's with no formal trial is murder, we seldom really know what that means. Its very similar to what happened in Iraq as al-Qaeda's fighters moved to take part in that conflict. Its horrid

To find out what its really like watch the vidoe below the fold. My advice don't watch the video below the fold. Just don't.

If you are under 18 or have a weak stomach, or don't believe that, you know, there is such a thing as an Islamic Savage just don't watch it.

al-Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb Admits to Murdering French Hostage

They beheaded Philippe Verdon in the traditional savage fashion popular with al-Qaeda.

Al Qaeda's wing in north Africa said it had beheaded a French hostage in retaliation for France's intervention in Mali, Mauritania's ANI news agency reported on Tuesday, citing a spokesman for the group.

In what ANI reported was a telephone call to the agency, which has close links to Islamist militants, the commander said Philippe Verdon had been beheaded on March 10 "in response to the French military intervention in the north of Mali", ANI reported.

The death, if proved true, would be a worrying development for Paris, which still has some 14 hostages held in West Africa, including seven in the Sahel by AQIM and its affiliates.

French President Francois Hollande in part justified military action in Mali to prevent the north from being used as a launch pad for terror attacks in Africa and in the West.

Verdon, a French geologist, was captured in the northern Mali town of Hombori in November 2011. A French foreign ministry spokesman said he had no information on the report.

Presidential Limo AFU in Israel (Updated: WTF?)

t can withstand biochemical attacks and a barrage of gunfire but apparently not a drop of diesel fuel.

President Barack Obama’s customized Cadillac limousine often referred to as “The Beast” was photographed on the back of a flat-bed hauler in Israel today. Israeli press is reporting someone mistakenly filled the vehicle with diesel fuel, which caused the breakdown.

Apparently the guy who pumps the gas was on furlough. Cause you know, only in the government to you need a qualified trained individual to pump gas.

Update: Jawa Report agents are always actively investigating these important issues.

The Presidential limo runs on Diesel fuel.

Among the truck-derived greasy bits may be the engine. It's been reported that the limo uses a 6.5L diesel V8 which got me thinking about whether it might be a Tier 2 Bin 5 compliant clean diesel. I contacted Cadillac spokesman David Caldwell who gave me the following response, "We're just not permitted to discuss that at all -- and in fact I don't even know the engine aspects of the car. So it's not the case that I'm just choosing not to tell you -- I don't know and would not be permitted to know."
So its been rumored that it runs on Diesel, its been speculated it might run on biofuels as well.

But I went and looked some more.. GM tells it does run on diesel fuel.

The most significant detail of Cadillac One (C1), from an alternative-fuels standpoint, is the limo’s 6.6L Duramax turbo-diesel V8 engine.
I guess only the Juice know for sure.

If it did run on diesel fuel and someone put gas in it, well that's a whole other rods came through the block story. Unless there is some high tech gadget that says Oh no! Shut them all down!

This Isn't the Red Line You're Looking For

He can go about his business, move along.

As accusations fly over who may have unleashed chemical weapons in Syria, some are skeptical about whether a chemical assault happened at all.

The reports of chemical warfare ignited a firestorm of reactions around the world, with Russia slamming the rebels and some U.S. lawmakers saying Washington might need to take action against the Syrian government.
But some say images posted by Syrian state-run media of the aftermath of the Aleppo incident, which the government blamed on rebels, aren't consistent with a chemical weapon attack.

Reading on, the article talks about the effects of Mustard or Sarin and other nerve agents, but previous accusations have been of the use of Agent 15. Which would not have the effect of killing everyone who treated victims. So the question is did the victims have an uncontrollable urge to strip and go a rapin'?

At Dunkin’ Donuts ..... again..... its like he lives there.

The story of a good deed has spread like wildfire online since Sunday, when an anonymous do-gooder left a kind note and $40 on a woman’s windshield in a Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot.

“I noticed the sticker on the back of your car,” the note read, referring to a “Half my Heart is in Afghanistan” bumper sticker. “Take your hero out to dinner when he comes home. Thank you both for serving. Him deployed and you for waiting.” It was signed “United States veteran” and “God Bless.”

South Korean authorities were investigating a hacking attack that brought down the servers of three broadcasters and two major banks on Wednesday, and the army raised its alert level due to concerns of North Korean involvement.

Servers at television networks YTN, MBC and KBS were affected as well as Shinhan Bank and NongHyup Bank, two major banks, the police and government officials said. At least some of the computers affected by the attacks had some files deleted, according to the authorities.

Presidential Ethics Panel OKs Testing Anthrax Vaccine On Children

Ethics - I do not think it means what this Presidential panel thinks it means.

A presidential ethics panel has opened the door to testing an anthrax vaccine on children as young as infants, bringing an angry response from critics who say the children would be guinea pigs in a study that would never help them and might harm them. [...]

The one anthrax vaccine approved in the United States, called BioThrax, is made by Emergent BioSolutions Inc of Rockville, Maryland. The company reported $215.9 million in sales of BioThrax, its only licensed product, in 2012.

The ethics commission took up the issue after a biodefense panel recommended in 2011 that the anthrax vaccine be tested in children. That endorsement, by the National Biodefense Science Board, came with the caveat that such a study also get the go-ahead from a bioethics panel.

Note to self: Buy Emergent BioSolutions stock. Sell when the first children start to die.

RIP: 7 Marines Killed in Training Accident

Sad news:

An explosion at a military ammunition storage facility in Nevada during a Marine Corps training exercise killed seven U.S. Marines and wounded several others, military officials said.

The North Carolina-based Marines with the 2nd Marine Division were killed late Monday when a 60-millimeter mortar exploded during a live-fire training exercise at Hawthorne Army Depot as they were preparing to fire it.

We should always remember that what Marines and members of our other military services do is dangerous, even when they're not engaged in combat. So, be grateful to each and every man and woman who puts on that uniform in defense of our freedom.

Our prayers are with the families.

Pakistan Arrests Man Tied to Daniel Pearl Kidnapping ... Again

Since this is the second time Qari Abdul Hayee, a Lashkar-e-Jhangvi leader has been arrested, we'll keep our fingers crossed that it sticks this time. The last time he was acquitted and let go. I appears that his arrest has nothing to do with his group's involvement in the Daniel Pearl kidnapping -- the group is thought to have abducted Pearl before turning him over to al Qaeda. No, the group has recently been involved in a number of sectarian murders against Shias and others they consider "apostates".

So the Pakistanis have been cracking down:

The militant, Qari Abdul Hayee, a leader of the Islamist militant group Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, was arrested by the paramilitary Rangers force on Sunday in Karachi, the city where Mr. Pearl was held hostage and killed.

“We were after him for the past three weeks. We had information he was in Karachi,” said a senior Rangers official, speaking by phone on the condition of anonymity.

We'll see if this time there's more traction.

Brave Mujahideen in Nigeria Murder 20

20 dead, and that's a low ball estimate:

Initial reports indicated that two suicide bombers drove a car packed with explosives into a bus at the New Road station in Sabon Gari, a predominantly Christian neighbourhood in the majority Muslim city....

"I saw three buses on fire. One of them was fully loaded with passengers waiting to leave the station at the time of the blasts ... There are at least 20 dead," said the rescue official who requested anonymity as he was not authorised to speak to journalists.

"The figure may rise," he added.

Meanwhile in North Korea

Drudge links this story from the Sun North Korea video shows US Capitol Building destroyed by missile strike

The controversial video - published on government website Uriminzokkiri - also shows a target graphic appearing on the White House.

Subtitles on the provocative video say: "The White House is caught by our sighting device.

"The inner citadel is within our striking range of an atomic bomb."

I would not mention it except that the DPKR's official Youtube Channel has released several videos as well.

These examples seem to indicate that North Korea is telling its people it is already at war with the United States.

Lets Defend General Kim Jong Un With Our Lives!

Let's Follow in His (Kim Jong-un's) Footsteps (KCTV Version)

I've included these examples from other users who've translated parts to English but the official channel also carries a lot of war propaganda, I'm sure there are some TOS violations in there for those interested.

The DPRK has already had one video removed for TOS violations. It would really be a shame if they ran into more troubles.

Or She Could Have Insisted On Cuddling Afterwards...

The Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI), an arm of the Department Of Defense, released this video entitled "DEOMI Bystander Intervention Training Video."

The video opens with a depiction the brutal rape and murder of Kitty Genovese. Genovese was savagely attacked and stabbed multiple times. Her cries for help were ignored by numerous neighbors. At one point, her attacker left the scene, only to return several minutes later to rape her and repeatedly stab her again.

The video goes on to suggest preventing violence or rape by, among other strategies, encouraging dialogue or using humor:

Only use these measures if your whistle doesn't work.

David Stein at Republican Party Animals writes:

That the Department of Defense would invoke the Genovese case to illustrate these "nine points" is probably one of the most grotesque and insulting misuses of taxpayer money I've ever witnessed in my 44 years. The ultimate irony is that the Genovese case illustrates the exact opposite of what the DoD (and, by extension, the Obama Administration) is trying force on the public. Moseley specifically told police that he chose female victims because they "didn’t fight back." The Genovese case illustrates the importance of fighting back, not using "progressive" non-violent hippie-bullcrap. The Genovese case illustrates the importance of being armed, and the value of concealed-carry for women.

Your tax dollars hard at work.

Desperate al-Shabaab Confiscating Cell Phones

Since Shabaab can't control the Twiiter narrative. it decided to just steal the cell phones.

Omar Hammami’s persistent countering of Shabaab on Twitter has likely eroded the group’s appeal amongst foreign fighters seeking to join the struggling group. Now, Hammami’s band of Twitter dissenters appears to have expanded and the “Muhajir” in Somalia have taken to the Twitterverse to express their resentment to Abu Zubayr (Godane) – Shabaab’s leader. The “Muhajir” (foreign fighters) continue exposing the rift between local Somali Shabaab members and the global foreign fighters that have joined the group only to be treated as second class. Here, @jawshan7, a Shabaab loyalist, and @abuu_haajir, a Muj dissenter, illuminate the divisions in Shabaab – in awful Twitter English.

Arab Spring! Introducing Femen Tunisia

Amina, the Tunisian woman who posed topless, told Ettounsiya TV: “In July, I saw the photos of Femen and I started reading about them. I liked that their message was radical. It was the first time I saw women who are not posing naked for the camera but are angrily protesting. I contacted them and Skyped several times.”

She added, “if I posted a picture of myself wearing a t-shirt with that slogan, it wouldn’t have any impact. I want the message to be read this way. (A woman’s) body is hers — not her father’s, her husband’s or her brother’s.”

China: One-Child Policy Ending

China One-Child Policy.jpg

(Beijing, China) After 40 years with a one-child policy, Chinese leaders have discovered a serious consequence.

More than half a billion birth control procedures, including at least 336 million abortions, have been performed in the name of the one-child policy, China's Health ministry revealed yesterday.
[Note: Sadly, simple arithmetic indicates 1,500 abortions have been performed in China every hour of every day for four decades.]
Official statistics showed that in addition to the terminations, Chinese doctors have sterilised 196 million men and women since 1971.
As a result of the family planning policy, Chinese demographics have been skewed and the working age population is decreasing. A smaller workforce is considered a serious threat to the Chinese economy.

Therefore, the Chinese National Population and Family Planning Commission has been dissolved.

Egyptian Democracy

Accused thieves lynched by angry mob:

Egyptian vigilantes beat two men accused of stealing a rickshaw, then stripped them half-naked and hung them from a tree in a bus station in a small Nile Delta town on Sunday, according to security officials who said both men died.

The killings came a week after the attorney general's office encouraged civilians to arrest lawbreakers and hand them over to police.

So, Egypt, how's that Muslim Brotherhood "democracy" working out for you?

American on FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist List Outs Himself on Twitter

An Alabama born man on the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist List has confirmed ownership of a Twitter account long thought to be his. Omar Hammami, better known by his jihdi name of Abu Mansour al-Amriki, confirmed today that the @abuamerican Twitter account was his.

Prior to today the account tweeted statements as if it was from a personal friend of Hammami's. However, over the past few months it became clear that Hammami himself was doing the tweeting. In recent weeks Hammami simply deflected questions about the authorship of the tweets, but also declined to deny that it was his.

Today in a conversation with Intelwire's J.M. Berger, Hammami confirmed that the account did, indeed, belong to him:

J.M. Berger @intelwire to @abumamerican:

Can we just dispense with the fiction that you're Omar's "spokesman" once and for all? You've been in first person for a week.

Abu M @abumamerican to @intelwire:

at this late juncture in the saga...dispence at will.

Here's a screenshot.

The mood of Hammami has been especially dour lately as an apparent rift has broken out between the native Somali fighters of the al Shabaab movement and foreigners. Videos Hammami posted to his YouTube account suggest that the native Somalis have become distrustful of the foreigners that once fought by their side, going so far as to accuse them of various crimes -- including being "spies". At one point Hammami seemed to think that his life was on the line.

In response, Hammami claims that Shabaab has "fallen off the cliff" accusing them of arbitrary court rulings, tribalism, and abandoning the goal of a global Caliphate.

At one time Shabaab leaders had pledged loyalty to al Qaeda.

Although Hammami often tweets on his Salaafi version of Islam and of his dream of a world wide Islamic empire, he seems more comfortable using typical American expressions and can often be seen joking around with counter-terrorism experts -- people who you might expect he'd think were "the enemy".

Just this morning he and our own Howie (@darthodius) had a conversation about St. Patrick's Day in which Hammami noted that his mother's side of the family was Irish. And when describing his rift with al Shabaab, Hammami used a Road Runner v. Wiley Coyote reference.

In any event, I thought the whole thing was very interesting. Here you have a wanted terrorist in Somalia who's been pretty active on Twitter and today confirmed to us all that, yes, it really was him.

To be honest, I've actually become kinda fond of the guy -- if that's possible. As several of us have suggested to him: come home -- you might go to jail, but at least you'll be alive.

And being alive is increasingly not looking realistic if he chooses to stay in Somalia.

NY Muslim Sentenced to 10 Years for Attempt to Intimidate NY Jewish Community

He wanted to make the Jews of NY pay because of, you know, the bad situation of the Muslim world is all the Jew's fault.

A man from Queens who pleaded guilty to plotting to blow up synagogues in Manhattan has been sentenced to 10 years behind bars, in the Manhattan District Attorney's first conviction of a terror defendant.

Ahmed Ferhani, in court today in an orange jumpsuit, pleaded guilty to 10 charges, including conspiracy as a crime of terrorism and criminal possession of a weapon as a crime of terrorism. A grand jury declined to indict Ferhani on a top level terror charge.

"The defendant unequivocally admitted his guilt to intimidate the Jewish population of New York City," said Assistant District Attorney Gary Alperin as Ferhani's attorney gently rubbed his client's back in comfort.

Judge Michael Obus imposed a sentence of 10 years, less than the 14 years the district attorney's office requested or the 25 he would have faced if convicted of all charges after a trial.

After serving his sentence, Ferhani, who was born in Algeria, is likely to be deported.

Maybe they should look more inward when blaming someone for the sad state of affairs in the Middle East?

Arab Spring! Video: Libyans Enjoy Benefits of Freedom w/ Public Floggings

To be honest, I'm not against flogging as a method of punishment. You ask me if I want to go to jail for a year or if I'm willing to put up with painful corporal punishment? I'll take the flogging, thank you very much.

As Shane Falco said so well, "Pain heels, chicks dig scars, glory lasts forever, and safeguard your cornhole's virginity at all costs."

So, the fact that these guys are getting flogged in public doesn't really bother me. Pain and shame can be good things.

It's not flogging I have a problem with. It's what Islamists want to flog you for that I have a problem with.

What are these guys offenses? Drinking alcohol? Watching a soccer game? Allowing their women to walk down the streets without an escort? Not growing a beard?

The problem isn't flogging. The problem is Islamic law. That's what I have a problem with.

Here's the video. It's not as nearly graphic as you'd expect.

I'm not sure what they're being flogged with, but it's not a whip or a cane stick like I've usually seen. It obviously hurts the guys getting flogged, but not so bad that they don't walk away.

Sandcrawler PSA: NO Free Speech in Palestine

RAMALLAH, Occupied West Bank, Mar 14 2013 (IPS) - In an extraordinary move, a civilian has been sentenced to a year’s imprisonment for posting a picture on Facebook of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas dressed in a Real Madrid soccer outfit and kicking a ball. The sentencing is among several instances of a targeting of media in Palestinian areas.

Anas Saad Awad, 26, from the northern West Bank village of Awarta near Nablus, was sentenced in the Nablus magistrate’s court, that convicted him of “criticising the government.” Awad was unable to address the court as the conviction was carried out while he was elsewhere in the court building.

Awad’s lawyer Rima Al Sayed said her client has been accused of photo-shopping a picture of Abbas wearing a Real Madrid shirt with the caption: ‘A new striker’. According to Sayed, the Palestinian judiciary had applied Article 195 of Jordan’s penal code, which criminalises criticism of the Jordanian king.

The use of Jordanian law by Palestine’s judiciary is not unusual. In addition to the Basic Law established in 2002, Palestinian law is an amalgam of Egyptian and Jordanian law and the codes left over from the era of the British Mandate. But the application of Jordanian law can frequently be used against Palestinians in labour disputes and “honour” crimes and speech.

“My son only commented on Facebook,” said Awad’s distressed father. “You know how young people comment. He didn’t mean to insult the president. I ask the president to intervene personally to cancel the court’s decision.”

New Improved Jawa Banner Falls Victim to 24h News Cycle

Alas, our new and improved Jawa banner riffing on "the smartest guy in the room" is no more. Remember the good old days when you could keep a snarky joke like that going for months? I miss those days.

PS-if you still see the Star Trek themed banner it's because your computer saves images like that locally in order to load webpages faster. Just hit the reload button and your machine should grab the new image and replace the old one.

Sudden Jihad In Washington State Starbucks

From The Columbian via Jihad Watch:

A 55-year-old suspect in the stabbing of two people in a Starbucks coffee shop drive-thru at one of the busiest intersections in Clark County may have been motivated by religious extremism, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Scott C. Fandrich of Ridgefield appeared Tuesday in Clark County Superior Court on suspicion of two counts of first-degree assault. [...]

Fandrich is accused of attacking Jerry Kush, who is either 70 or 71, just before 5 p.m. in the Starbucks drive-thru at 11502 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., in Cascade Park, after the two had a conversation about religion, according to court records.

Just image how violent the world would be if Islam wasn't the religion of peace!

Top U.S. Commander Expects Violence In Wake Of Anti-American Remarks

Of course, it isn't Americans who are expected to react to the remarks with violence...

From AP via Jihad Watch:

The top U.S. commander in Afghanistan warned his troops to be ready for increased violence because of a series of anti-American statements by Afghan President Hamid Karzai, NATO said Thursday.

In an email to battlefield commanders, Gen. Joseph Dunford, said the remarks could spur more insider attacks, days after members of Afghan security forces killed two U.S. troops and a U.S. contractor in two separate shootings.

So, let me see if I get this straight -

If an American criticizes Islam and Muslims react violently, it's the American's fault for inciting otherwise peaceful Muslims.

But if a Muslim leader criticizes America and Muslims react violently, it's still the fault of Americans for inciting otherwise peaceful Muslims?

Ahh, the religion of perpetual victimization.

Faraj al Chalabi Detained in Libya Suspected of Benghazi Attack and Murder of German Couple

Long War Journal:

A suspect in the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi has been detained in Libya, according to multiple press outlets. CNN reports that, according to one source, Faraj al Chalabi (or al Shibli) "was detained within the past two days and had recently returned from a trip to Pakistan." Reuters reports that al Chalabi "fled to Pakistan after the attacks and only recently returned to Libya."

Both CNN and Reuters note that the precise role al Chalabi is suspected of playing in the Benghazi attack is "unclear."

Al Chalabi was first fingered as a suspected terrorist in 1998. At the time, Muammar Qaddafi's regime said that he was involved in the murder of two Germans, an intelligence official named Silvan Becker and his wife. The German couple had been killed under mysterious circumstances in 1994.

Read more:

They say the Libyans allowed us to question Chalabi. We'll have to wait and see if this is just a token or if the Libyans are serious about prosecuting and/or handing over al-Qaeda linked terrorists.

Its not every likely and I don't expect it.

NFL Bans Dangerous Tackling; Replaces With Two-Hand Tag

Well, not exactly. But every time the NFL changes rules for safety, it ends up making the game more dangerous and less interesting.

The NFL is changing its rules to prevent ball-carriers from initiating contact with the crown of the helmet.

It’s an attempt to make the game safer – but the league's all-time leading rusher, Emmitt Smith, thinks the NFL should have its own head examined.

"If I'm a running back and I'm running into a linebacker, you're telling me I have to keep my head up so he can take my chin off?’" Smith said Thursday in an exclusive interview with Dallas radio station 105.3 The Fan. "You've absolutely lost your mind."

Mohammad, Mohammad and Mohammad Arrested For Fraud

Creeping Sharia:

wo Gary, Ind., food marts let people use their food stamps like a normal debit card, giving them cash back and cigarettes in exchange.
In return, they illegally redeemed those food stamps to the federal government for more than $500,000, according to two federal indictments filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court in Hammond.

Now Ola Mohammad, 31, and her brother Abdkdar Mohammad, 29, both of Chicago, face one count of conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government and three counts of wire fraud.

Kaled Mohammad, 27, of Cicero, Ill., faces two counts of wire fraud in a separate but similar case. It was unclear Friday if he is related to Ola and Abdkdar Mohammad.

The money was sent to a bank account that both Ola Mohammad and her father could access, then was wired outside the country.

Wow they sure are setting a bad example for the Prophet.

Cornhole Watch: UK Jihadis Richard Dart, Jahangir Alom and Imran Mahmood Plead Gulity

Later boys, don't let Bubba hit ya, where Allah split ya.

Beeb:Three British men have pleaded guilty to preparing for terrorism acts overseas.

One of the men used to be a police community support officer and another was a recent convert to Islam.

Richard Dart, Jahangir Alom and Imran Mahmood all pleaded guilty at a hearing at the Old Bailey ahead of their expected trial.

They were arrested in London weeks before the Olympic Games in July 2012. They will be sentenced later.

The three men were charged last year with engaging in preparation for acts of terrorism by travelling to Pakistan for training between July 2010 and July 2012 and by "advising and counselling" acts of terrorism by providing information about how to go to the country for the same purpose.

The video mentioned in the BBC story is here. He was also part of Anjem Choudary's Muslims Against Crusades, so that's extra special.

Alom's wife, Ruksana Begum, previously pleaded guilty to possession of information likely to be useful to a terrorist by having a memory card carrying copies of a jihadist magazine, Inspire.

Ha-Ha! Reuters Editor Indicted for Helping Cyber Terrorists

The fact that a Reuters journalist has terrorist sympathies? Doesn't surprise me a bit.

The fact that the federal government indicted him? That's the shocking part.

You'll notice that the indictment cites Keys as a former employee at a Sacramento TV station. After he left, he got a gig at Reuters. Where, as of this writing, he still has a gig.

Apparently Reuters has no problem employing this guy:

A former web producer for a Tribune Company-owned television station in Sacramento, Calif., was charged today in an indictment for allegedly conspiring with members of the hacker group “Anonymous” to hack into and alter a Tribune Company website, the Justice Department announced.

Matthew Keys, 26, of Secaucus, N.J., was charged in the Eastern District of California with one count each of conspiracy to transmit information to damage a protected computer, transmitting information to damage a protected computer and attempted transmission of information to damage a protected computer.

Keys was employed by Sacramento-based television station KTXL FOX 40, as its web producer, but was terminated in late October 2010.

The three-count indictment alleges that in December 2010 Keys provided members of the hacker group Anonymous with log-in credentials for a computer server belonging to KTXL FOX 40’s corporate parent, the Tribune Company. According to the indictment, Keys identified himself on an Internet chat forum as a former Tribune Company employee and provided members of Anonymous with a login and password to the Tribune Company server. After providing log-in credentials, Keys allegedly encouraged the Anonymous members to disrupt the website. According to the indictment, at least one of the computer hackers used the credentials provided by Keys to log into the Tribune Company server, and ultimately that hacker made changes to the web version of a Los Angeles Times news feature.

The indictment further alleges that Keys had a conversation with the hacker who claimed credit for the defacement of the Los Angeles Times website. The hacker allegedly told Keys that Tribune Company system administrators had thwarted his efforts and locked him out. Keys allegedly attempted to regain access for that hacker, and when he learned that the hacker had made changes to a Los Angeles Times page, Keys responded, “nice.”

If convicted, Keys faces up to 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000 for each count. The indictment also contains a notice of forfeiture provision for property traceable to the offense.

The charges contained in the indictment are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

This case was investigated by the Sacramento and Los Angeles Field Offices of the FBI. The case is being prosecuted by the Criminal Division’s Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California.
For his part, Keys hasn't said a thing on his Twitter account about being indicted. Which I guess is the smart move and the one most lawyers will recommend.

But the real funny part here? So, Keys helps the Anonymous thugs hack some websites. And what does he get in return for his help? They out him:

Which just makes this whole thing all the more funny.

Ironical: Germany Bans Islamofascist Groups

Germany has banned three Islamist groups which have a goal of replacing democracy with Islamic law:

Germany said on Wednesday it had banned three Islamist Salafist groups which officials said aimed to sweep aside democracy and set up a system based on Sharia Islamic law.

The interior ministry said the bans, which come amid stepped-up observation of the Salafist community in Germany, took effect early Wednesday in the western states of Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia.

The targeted organizations are "DawaFFM" and "Islamische Audios", as well as "An-Nussrah", which is part of the "Millatu Ibrahim" group that was already banned in June, a ministry statement said.

Searches were carried out at the homes of 20 people and property was seized, it added.

The reason this is ironical is that banning political groups is itself an act of fascism, even when the groups you ban are themselves antithetical to freedom. And yes, I know the Germans ban all such movements dating back to their Nazi past, but I just like the idea of some bureaucrat deciding which political movements are okay and which are against the law.

Today a bunch of Salaafi thugs who want to ban alcohol, tomorrow who's to say it won't be the Tea Party?

Oh well, even though I'm against such move in principle it's hard to be moved to anger when the groups being oppressed kinda deserve a good ass kicking.

He Gets Us

He really gets us!

What did Obama and his advisors think would happen? Why that out of gratitude for America stopping its (alleged) bullying and imperialistic ways and getting on the (alleged) side of history the new regimes would be friendly. The Muslim Brotherhood in particular would conclude that America was not its enemy. You know, one Brotherhood leader would supposedly say to another, all of these years we thought the United States was against us but now we see that they are really our friends. Remember Obama’s Cairo speech? He really gets us!

More likely he’d be saying: We don’t understand precisely what the Americans are up to but they are obviously weak, cowardly, and in decline! In fact, that’s what they did say.

Investigative Project on Terrorism Foils Hamas Plant in Illinois Prisons

Investigative Project:

Court papers filed in an Illinois federal civil lawsuit make it clear that a Hamas-supporting imam would have been a state police-sanctioned chaplain in 2010 if not for disclosures made by the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT).

Attorneys for the Illinois State Police (ISP) have asked a federal judge to grant their clients' motion for summary judgment, effectively ending a lawsuit brought by Imam Kifah Mustapha. Mustapha cleared an initial background check to the ISP's first Muslim chaplain in late 2009.

In his application, he failed to disclose his work as fundraiser for the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development. The foundation was convicted a year earlier of illegally routing millions of dollars to Hamas. The IPT reported on Mustapha's documented connections to the Holy Land Foundation in January 2010, after he received a state identification card.

The ISP received an e-mail alerting it to the IPT report a day later, a legal memorandum filed with the motion Thursday said. The state police "were previously unaware of Plaintiff‟s association with HLF, as it was omitted from his resume," the memo said. A second background check resulted in Mustapha's invitation to be a chaplain rescinded. He sued, claiming violations of his 1st and 14th Amendment rights.

Of course CAIR played the racist card.
Ahmed Rehab, head of the Council on American-Islamic Relations' (CAIR) Chicago chapter, tried to deflect attention away from Mustapha, telling a television reporter that the state police were "kowtowing to articles online published by notorious anti-Muslims who have been in the business of smearing Muslim activists leaders and Imams for the longest time."
Ahmed Rehab? Really? Bwhahahaaa!! A perfect name for community activism in Chitown, no?
But there's a funny thing about court records. They show what they show no matter who finds them. When the state police looked, they found exactly what the IPT reported.
Apparently the zionist Kihnspiracy has infiltrated the ISP. And ABC7 in Chicago.

Hat Tip: Creeping Sharia.

Alabama Gun Owner Saves State Millions

The Blaze:

An Alabama homeowner shot and killed a suspected burglar while defending his property on Tuesday night. It is merely the latest instance of a gun owner using a firearm to combat a criminal, which TheBlaze has reported on extensively.

The gun owner dropped the home intruder with just one shot from his shotgun, according to police. Investigators do not expect any charges to be filed against the homeowner as it appears to be a clear-cut case of self-defense.

...“Police have not released the intruder’s identity as they are working to locate and inform his family, but Smith said police are familiar with the burglar from previous investigations,”

Gun Crusader Mark Kelly Buys Scary Assault Weapon

I guess he wanted to beat the ban he's advocating.

ACE: Mark Kelly, Gabby Giffords' husband, got caught buying an AR-15. Not a crime, of course, but certainly a strange purchase for a gun-control advocate looking to ban the weapon.

Couple problems with this story:

1. He didn't actually buy it. The gun he intended to buy was on consignment, and there's a 20-day federal delay to check to see if the weapon was used in a crime.

2. His claimed stunt makes no sense.

What would his point have been, had he actually gone through the federal check (which he didn't, despite his claims)? That a law-abiding Naval officer astronaut married to a Congresswoman can pass a federal gun purchase check?

Of course he could. How could he not pass it? On what grounds would there be a delay for someone who not only has a clean criminal record, but in fact almost certainly has a US intelligence clearance of much better than Top Secret?

Does he have a record as a crack dealer we don't know about?

Its not the buy, its the lie.

Arab Spring! al-Qaeda Linked Tunisian Hackers Hack US Govt

A group going by the name of the “Tunisian Cyber Army”, claims that they, in coordination with the Al-Qaida Electronic Army (AQEA), have hacked four U.S. government sites within the last few days. The sites allegedly hit included the U.S. State Department, the Army National Guard, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection ( and Office of Personnel Management (

The hackers says they identified and exploited vulnerabilities on two domains owned by the US Department of State and one for the Army National Guard. The attackers claim to have obtained sensitive information, and the IP addresses of government computers and servers and are holding onto the information to work on hacking more IPs.

The group also says they had the assistance of “Chinese hackers”.

The group claims that this is all in prepation for #OpBlackSummer, an effort to attack US targets between May 31 and September 11.

Cyber warefare, al-Qaeda is on the offensive, while we are er uh, I'm not sure what to call it, giving safe harbor to terrorist websites for fear of offending someone, or maybe missing a few useless bytes of information?

Malaysia Company Knowingly Profiting from the Taliban

Image literally stolen from the Taliban

UPDATE by Rusty 3/13/13: Despite several assurances that this was being escalated to a "Senior Administrator", SKS Technology in Malaysia continues to illegally provide the Taliban with business services.

If you haven't done so already, please take the time to complain to the company using the following information below.

Also, please take a few moments to let the Malaysian Ambassador to the US Datuk Othman Hashim know how you feel about his country turning a blind eye to their businesses violating international agreements and continuing to do business with the Taliban:

Distinguished Warfare Medal Creates Heartburn

Distinguished Warfare Medal.jpg
Distinguished Warfare Medal

(Washington, D.C.) Considerable heartburn has erupted within the U.S. military regarding the new Distinguished Warfare Medal, intended to honor "extraordinary actions" of drone pilots customarily working hundreds or thousands of miles away from any combat zone.

The controversy is that the Distinguished Warfare Medal is ranked above the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart, decorations typically awarded for actions in combat.

Along with an avalanche of Whiskey Tango Foxtrots and a tsunami of outrage, troops are circulating a photo of a gold-plated X-Box controller and the skull-emblazoned “Call of Duty” medal as “prototypes” of the new award, which honors servicemembers like drone pilots and computer hackers who impact combat operations from afar.

The medal is being called the Chairborne Medal, the Distant Warfare Medal and the Purple Buttocks, among other names.

The flood of complaints has prompted Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel to order a review of the new medal to determine whether the order of precedence should be changed. (More….)

NY Mayor Bloomberg Responsible for Rape of the Earth

And also being a dickhead.

NPR:...palm oil, which is often used for frying donuts. It's harvested mainly in Asia, and its production has caused serious deforestation in Malaysia and especially in Indonesia, as tropical forests are chopped down to make room for oil palm plantations.

But why has demand for palm oil surged?

...In the old days, hydrogenated oils — so-called trans fats — did this job. But in 2007, another New York politician — New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg — banned trans fats in restaurants. Nestle says many popular food brands, including Oreo and Dunkin' Donuts, voluntarily replaced trans fats with the best available substitute: palm oil.

"It's quite ironic," says Nestle.

Pakistani Soldier Stoned To Death After Being Accused Of Love Affair

The Religion of Peace™.

The two embarked on a romantic relationship, tribal sources said, and he tried to elope with her when he was later posted to the disputed Kashmir region. It was not immediately clear what evidence there was, if any, of a romance.

"The girl left her home on Monday and met Anwar Din when villagers saw them," said Munir Hussain, the head of the local jirga, or tribal court, that sentenced Din to death. "We took the girl into custody and took the boy to the local graveyard where he was stoned to death and buried."

Din was killed on Monday, he added. A government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the jirga had ruled the woman must be shot to death. It was not immediately clear if this had already taken place.

Reuters blames the brutal punishment on "tribal justice," as though 1400 years of Islamic influence has nothing to do with it.

In fact, in Reliance of the Traveller, the jurisprudence of Islamic Law, it states the penalty for fornication is stoning (section o12).

Arab Spring! Tunisian Sets Self on Fire in Protest Reprise

The Beeb:

A young Tunisian cigarette vendor has died after setting himself on fire - an act reminiscent of the event which triggered the "Arab Spring" in 2010.

Adel Khedhri, 27, set himself alight on Tuesday on a street in central Tunis, the focus of protests which toppled long-time leader Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali two years ago.

He died "as a result of severe burns" a doctor said.

It could be that this man was under pressure from some groups to stop selling cigarettes. The more radical Islamist elements see smoking as Haram or forbidden under Sharia.

If you recall in Mali the al-Qaeda related militia's there forbid the populace from smoking while financing their Jihad by smuggling cigarettes. On the bright side Mokhtar Belmokhtarm the al-Qaeda leader in Mali is dead as a rock. So there is that.

5 Soldiers Killed in Helicopter Crash in Afghanistan

A sad day in Afghanistan, although this time not related to the duplicity of our allies or the Taliban. It seems the five died tragically, in a helicopter accident:

Five Americans from Nato-led foreign forces in Afghanistan have died in a helicopter crash, a US official says.

The crash took place in Daman district of Kandahar province on Monday,

"Initial reporting indicates there was no enemy activity in the area at the time of the incident," said the International Security Assistance Force (Isaf) in a statement.

Naturally, the Taliban are claiming on their twitter account and on their webpage that the helicopter was shot down. The problem with Qari Yousef Mohammad, the Taliban spokesman making the claim, is that he has no credibility. The Taliban not only claim to be responsible for every bad thing that happens to NATO troops, it also makes false claims of killing hundreds and hundreds every month.

Muslim Doctoral Student Gets Death Threats For Opposing Hitler Supporters

The death threats came after Sahin expressed dismay for the admiration of Hitler during an interview with several Muslim youths:

The Dutch daily NRC writes that Mehmet Sahin, a doctoral student, has had to go into hiding with his family. The Mayor of Arnhem, Pauline Krikke, advised him to do so after he received death threats. Sahin is a volunteer who tries to re-educate street youths in Arnhem.

A few weeks ago, he interviewed several Dutch-Turkish youngsters on the Nederland 2 TV station. They said that they admired Hitler and the Holocaust and regretted that Hitler had not finished exterminating the Jews. Sahin reprimanded them.

Will this Islamophobia ever stop?

Video of Syrian Jihadis Beheading Assad Fascists Pretty Suspicious

A few people have emailed me about a video that has been making the rounds on Liveleak claiming to show members of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) murdering and beheading troops loyal to Assad's fascist regime.

Let me point out that I support neither the rebels who are composed largely of Sunni Islamofascists, many of whom are sympathetic to al Qaeda, nor of the fascist Baathists of the Assad regime -- a regime that in addition to being fascist also supports terror.

With that in mind, the video in question seems highly suspicious. Why?

1) The video was posted by pro-Assad forces, not by the jihadis themselves. When jihadis behead their opponents they are generally proud of the fact and circulate their own videos claiming responsibility. They do not need Assad's people to post the video for them. They do it themselves.

2) On close inspection the "jihadis" don't actually appear to be killing the captives. Except for the last victim, they appear to be dead already. I've seen more than my fair share of beheading videos, and trust me on this one, the victims don't just lie there making no sound. It's the sounds that will always haunt me and remind me just how cruel the murderers are. Either every one but the last guy is dead already, or they've been beaten so severely that they're unconscious.

3) Some of the "jihadis" seem to be speaking Russian, Chechen, or Turkish. Now, this could be an outfit of foreign fighters in the al Nusrah front. But, I wonder .....

4) Last, the "al Qaeda" flag is wrong. The "jihadis" use all the right words, shout "Allahu akbar!" when they're supposed to, but the flag ... it's ... wrong. The al Qaeda flag is white on a black field, not black on a white field.

Here's a (poor) screenshot of the flag being waved in the video.

Now here's the al Qaeda flag we'd expect.

I'm not exactly sure what the shenanigans are that are going on here, but the video just doesn't add up on a number of levels. I have a number of theories as to actually what's going on, but to be honest I'm not 100% sure. The comments section over at LiveLeak is full of partisans on one side or the other convinced that the other side is full of evil terrorists, while their own faction is full of defenders of civilization. So, that hasn't been much help.

One thing I'm sure of is that whoever made this video, they are SOBs that need to be killed.

The video is below. WARNING: VERY GRAPHIC!!

Jewish Lawyer for Wanna-be Taliban: Jew-Free Jury Please

This is .... um .... WTF?:

Lawyer Frederick Cohn will ask a judge today to bar Jews from the jury hearing the case against Abdel Hameed Shehadeh, who’s accused of lying about trying to join jihadists in Pakistan.

“Given that there’s going to be inflammatory testimony about Jews and Zionism, I think it would be hard for Jews to cast aside any innate antipathy,” said Cohn, who is Jewish.

“The American Jewish community is heavily aligned with Israel and Zionism. Here is a guy who is a Muslim, who is opposed to those things.” ...

“Your Honor . . . as you know, I’m not wild about having Jews on the jury in this case,” Cohn told Brooklyn federal Judge Eric Vitaliano in February.

Apparently the lawyer didn't actually think he'd win the motion to have the jury a Judenfrei zone. I guess he's using the throw it all against the wall and see how much of it sticks strategy.

Finally: Some Good News from Afghanistan

We takes what we can gets:

Six Taliban men were killed when the explosives they possessed for making bombs exploded accidently inside a house in southern Helmand province, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said on Monday.
The way I figure it we get out of Dodge, drop thousands of do-it-yourself bomb making kits, and just let Darwin take care of Afghanistan for us.

60 Pipe Bombs Found Outside Philly

Pipe bombs aren't all that hard to make. What's the statute of limitations on pipe bombs, anyway? Because if it's over 20 years then I have to confess to making a few myself back in my teenage years. So, is this something?

Federal officials provided few details about the search of a Malvern storage locker that resulted in the controlled detonation of about 60 pipe bombs Thursday night, though multiple officials confirmed the incident was connected to a federal Ponzi scheme investigation....

The official, who asked to remain anonymous due to the ongoing and sensitive nature of the investigation, said that the storage locker was registered to 42-year-old Istvan Merchenthaler, a Chester County man facing federal charges in connection to a Ponzi scheme that officials say defrauded investors of about $2 million over the past seven years.

Afghans Kill 2 US Troops

If the Taliban's strategy is to get the US to distrust our Afghan allies then I have to give it to them: it's working:

A police officer opened fire on U.S. and Afghan forces at a police headquarters in eastern Afghanistan on Monday, sparking a firefight that killed two U.S. troops and two other Afghan policemen. The attacker was also killed in the shootout, officials said.
Our prayers are with the families of those killed.

UK Circling The Drain

What used to be a bastion of freedom and guardian of the oppressed is now little more than a smoldering cesspool ready to implode.

A teenage girl was raped 90 times in one weekend it has been revealed, in a shocking report into modern-day slavery in the UK.

The report, due to be published tomorrow by the Centre for Social Justice, contains evidence from the girl, who was 16 at the time she was taken into slavery and raped by 90 men.

The girl, who gave evidence to the committee despite still being 'deeply traumatised' by the attacks, did not come from a background which put her at risk, but became enslaved after befriending girls vulnerable to abuse, it has been reported.

Andrew Wallis, chairman of the working group that produced the report, would only tell the committee the girl 'is now safe' when asked what had happened to her since the attacks, according to the Sunday Times.

The report claims efforts to tackle modern slavery in the UK, including the sexual exploitation of children, are in a state of crisis.

The CSJ, an independent think-tank set up by Iain Duncan Smith, has attacked the Government for its 'inadequate response' to the issue after the investigation uncovered a 'shocking underworld' of human trafficking.

Its study found more than 1,000 adults and children were trafficked into or within the UK in 2011/2012, but the figure could be 'only the tip of the iceberg'.

Among the cases were British and foreign victims who had been forced into the sex trade, a life of crime or domestic labour.

British girls trafficked within Britain for the sex trade made up nearly one half of all UK slavery victims in the latest set of figures.

The UK response is to pass new anti-slavery legislation because, obviously, the old anti-slavery laws aren't enough. It would be politically incorrect to just target that actual causes, as that might lead to authorities being labelled "racist," "culturally biased," or "anti-immigrant."

We can't have that now, can we?

UN: Journalist's Son Killed By HAMAS Rocket, Not Israeli Missile As Claimed

When Jihad Misharawi lost his son during Israeli air strikes, photographs of the tearful father holding his son's body became iconic anti-Israel propaganda. The Washington Post wasted no time placing blame:

An Israeli round hit Misharawi’s four-room home in Gaza Wednesday, killing his son, according to BBC Middle East bureau chief Paul Danahar, who arrived in Gaza earlier Thursday. Misharawi’s sister-in-law was also killed, and his brother wounded. Misharawi told Danahar that, when the round landed, there was no fighting in his residential neighborhood.

Other major media outlets, the BBC, the Huffington Post, Yahoo, the Sun, the Telegraph, and many more also carried the same narrative.

The problem is, it wasn't true. In their desperation to further demonize Israel, these media outlets reported Palestinian propaganda as facts. They lacked any journalistic integrity to present an objective story.

It was a HAMAS rocket that killed the child:

Jihad’s son was killed by Hamas, according to independent investigators from the United Nations. He was murdered by the journalist’s own neighbors, the very men who purport to be his biggest protectors, who live in the surrounding buildings in the city where he lives.

According to the advanced version of its report released by the U.N. Human Rights Council released late last week, "On 14 November, a woman, her 11-month-old infant, and an 18-year-old adult in Al-Zaitoun were killed by what appeared to be a Palestinian rocket that fell short of Israel."

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for updates and corrections.

Danish Islamic Imam Who Said Uncovered Women Deserve To Be Raped Arrested For Attempted Rape

Imam Mehdi enjoys the Koran, the Sunnah and long walks in the park

Imam Shahid Mehdi said women who don't wear a hijab deserve to be raped. He proved himself right. Uncovered women are in danger of being raped by those of low moral character.

A 36-year-old Danish man is the protagonist in a bizarre sex case, which will soon be dealt with in court in Malmö.

Now, however, he is accused of pulling his penis out and chasing a 23-year-old woman around in a park in Malmö in August 2012, according to the court in Malmö.

The woman managed to get away, and she called the police, who arrested the man a few minutes later.

Imam Shahid Mehdi claims he is innocent and the victim of a racist conspiracy. As absurd as that excuse is, I'm certain plenty in the Islamic community will side with him.

As Daniel Greenfield points out, had this happened in an Islamic country, the woman would have been charged with a crime.

Police Hunt "Thong Bandit"

He's not a bandit, per se, as he's not stealing them. He's just running around in a thong, scaring the women folk and stuff.

"We're looking for an individual who we have titled the 'Thong Bandit,'" District 1 Commander Paul Pazen said. "He is fully clothed somewhere in the mouth of an alley, will disrobe down to a thong and expose himself further in front of female citizens in northwestt Denver."

Pazen says the man was first seen at the end of the summer, and has been quiet for several months, but there have been four reports of him exposing himself again in the last two weeks: once on Feb. 17 and Feb, 18th. Denver Police have assembled teams of officers to look for this man.

The White House has offered Denver Police several drones to assist in their search.

Police have released this sketch of the suspect:

You should know, he was wearing a pink thong, but has recently switched to a black thong. That's apparently important for some reason.

Do not try to apprehend this individual, though it'd be cool if you could take some pictures.

UK Arrests Al Qaeda Cleric Abu Qatada, Again..

Abu Qatada Al-Falastin, who is on the U.S. list of specially designated global terrorists, continues to fight extradition to Jordan on terror charges. Looks like he, hopefully, really f'd up this time and the UK will finally deport him.

Via the Telegraph

Abu-Qatada.jpg Qatada, 52, once described as Osama Bin Laden’s right-hand man in Europe, was later arrested by the UK Border Agency for allegedly breaching his bail conditions.

Specialist officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command searched Qatada’s tax-payer funded home for 12 hours before he was arrested, according to The Sun.

A Home Office spokeswoman said last night: “The UK Border Agency today arrested a 52-year-old man from North London for alleged breaches of his bail conditions imposed by the Special Immigration Appeals Commission.”

The move comes as the Government has stepped up its latest efforts to get him deported.

Spared By The Sequester: $20 Mil To Fund The PA Pali Hate, Pali Terrorists In Israel's Prison..

Obama Reinstated Financial Aid to Palestinian Authority under False Pretense, Expert Says

by Adam Kredo

The Obama administration justified releasing more than $192 million in financial aid to the Palestinian Authority with false information, according to an Israeli expert who monitors the Palestinian media’s constant promotion of violent, hateful rhetoric.

The administration quietly reinstated the P.A.’s aid last month after it was frozen by Congress in the wake of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s attempt to declare statehood before the United Nations. The administration also secretly attempted to restore funding to a U.N. cultural agency that unilaterally—and illegally—recognized the “State of Palestine.”[...]

“The Palestinians will never stop if the U.S. keeps doing this,” he said. “If we want peace this has to stop. The policy should be based on correct information.”

Referring to Vietor’s official explanation of why the P.A. should be given millions of taxpayer dollars, Marcus said, “That first statement from the White House is a total mistake,” and noted, “all of these examples happened in the last few months, some of it in the same week that the White House made that statement.”

When the White House signs off on P.A. aid without condemning such rhetoric, “they’re telling the P.A. that you can continue glorifying violence and teaching your kids to continue making maps that don’t show Israel. They’re giving them a clean bill of health, and that’s the danger here.”

No surprise, think State Dept and the anti-Semite, anti-American Egyptian Samira Ibrahim.

Why does the Muslim Brotherhood get an economic stimulus while the Sequester imposes massive cuts here at home?

Afghan Soldiers Attack US Base

This thing in Afghanistan would go a whole lot better if there were no Afghanis to deal with:

All three individuals were killed during the engagement and the area has been secured by ISAF and ANSF. Afghan and coalition officials are looking into the circumstances of this incident.

State Department Defers on Samira Ibrahim for International Woman of Courage Award

Weekly Standard:

Yesterday, THE WEEKLY STANDARD first reported that the State Department was about to bestow an International Woman of Courage Award on an anti-Semite and 9/11 fan. Egypt women’s rights activist Samira Ibrahim had left a record on her Twitter feed of statements quoting Hitler, celebrating the murder of Israelis in Bulgaria last summer, and the September 11, 2012 siege of the U.S. embassy in Cairo.

brahim claimed yesterday that her Twitter page had been “stolen” and she was not responsible for the hateful comments.

...Finally, Ibrahim herself has spoken, writing in Arabic on her Twitter page

I refuse to apologize to the Zionist lobby in America regarding my previous anti-Zionist statements under pressure from American government therefore they withdrew the award
See should have just been brave and honest about her love for Adolf Hitler and her hate for the Joos on the twitter-o-phone it would have been no problem. But to wuss out and lie like that .... well that's another story.

US, UK Seeks To Strengthen Syrian Opposition

A couple of days ago, Syrian Rebels captured 21 UN Peacekeepers. The UN has been reluctant to condemn the Syrian opposition and the media has been slow to report the capture:

Despite the Rebels taking hostages and, to date, refusing to release them, the United States, The United Kingdom, and France have continued support of the Syrian Rebels:

Western training of Syrian rebels is under way in Jordan in an effort to strengthen secular elements in the opposition as a bulwark against Islamic extremism, and to begin building security forces to maintain order in the event of Bashar al-Assad’s fall.

Jordanian security sources say the training effort is led by the US, but involves British and French instructors.

Keep in mind, the Syrian Rebels have vowed to impose sharia law once al-Assad is ousted. This is the "secular elements" the West is trying to strengthen? Syria was already one of the more secular Islamic countries in the Middle East. After Egypt, Libya, and other "Arab spring" nations failed in bring any new freedoms to the citizens, but in fact, resulted in more radical Islamic governments, you would think the West would learn.

So, why have the US and the UK actively participated in overthrowing the more secular Middle East governments only to pave way for radical elements? Why are they so eager to bring Islamists to power?

Former Iranian Official Launches 'Countdown To An Attack On Israel'..

Image from Alireza Forghani's website

Via the Free Beacon

An ally of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has launched a “countdown to an attack on Israel” following the Jewish state’s launching of an operation to destroy weapons in Syria last month.

Alireza Forghani, a Khamenei confidant and former governor of Iran’s Kish province, published an article arguing that Tehran and Syria should launch a tag-team attack aimed at the total “eradication [of] Israel from the planet.”

“There remains no excuse for not [waging] a total multipartite attack on Israeli soil, with hopes of completely eradicating Israel from the planet (Allah willing),” Forghani wrote, according to a new translation of his Jan. 29 essay by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

Attacking and completely eradicating Israel from the planet is the only solution to this problem,” Forghani wrote. “If this problem isn’t resolved with this golden opportunity, it is not known when there may be another.”

I Love the Smell of Dead Chechen Terrorists in the Morning

Say what you will about Russian democracy, freedom, and foreign policy: they do know how to kill terrorists:

Security forces in Russia killed the leader of one of the rebel groups fighting to create an Islamist state in the North Caucasus and two other terrorists on Thursday, said Russia's anti-terrorism committee....

The dead leader, Adam Khushalayev, who had adopted the name Abu-Malik, had been wanted for over a decade, and had taken over as head of a insurgent group after its leaders were killed in January.

Also, their women are very hot. Just thought I'd throw that in there for no particular reason.

Palliwood Rolls Out Red Carpet for Bronco Bamma

Dozens of Israeli security officers and Palestinian worshipers clashed at the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem on Friday, amid rising tensions ahead of a visit by President Barack Obama.

According to Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld, police entered Al-Aqsa after Palestinians threw stones and two firebombs at them. The situation was under control, although there were still several masked men in the mosque, which the police would not enter, he said.

All the usual suspects are out in force pushing the narrative that Israel security forces attacked some Palestinian women out of the blue for no apparent reason. And in the process they might have stepped on a Koran.

Its so nice to see the Palestinian Thespian community putting on such a great show for the American President.

Iran Sheltered al Qaeda's Management Council

"He was never an operational commander in al Qaeda, but in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, he was the voice of al Qaeda,'' said Bruce Hoffman, a terrorism expert at Georgetown University. His biggest intelligence value now, Mr. Hoffman said, is to provide insight into what he called the "very perplexing and enigmatic" relationship between Iranian authorities and al Qaeda.

U.S. officials have long been trying to figure what Mr. Abu Ghaith and other al Qaeda figures were doing in Iran and how much leeway the Iranian government was giving them to operate their terrorist network.

U.S. officials believe that Iran last year gave new freedoms, including the option to leave the country, to Mr. Abu Ghaith and other members of what was known as al Qaeda's management council in Iran. He was detained in Ankara, Turkey, last month on suspicion of entering that country with a false passport.

Also raising an eyebrow is that aspiring NATO member and alleged moderate Islamic state of Turkey, who is the main source of aid to the Syrian rebels, also refused to turn over Abu Ghaith to the US.

With friends like these.....

We'd Like to Welcome Sulaiman Abu Ghaith to the USA
UPDATE: FBI Confirms bin Laden Son in Law in New York
UPDATE: Cooperating

Please have a seat in the showroom, we'll be right with you.

ANKARA — Osama bin Laden's son-in-law Sulaiman Abu Ghaith was seized by CIA agents and taken to the United States after Turkey deported him to Jordan this month, a Turkish newspaper reported on Thursday.

Abu Ghaith, the former spokesman of the Al-Qaeda network, was seized last month at a luxury hotel in Ankara after a tip-off from CIA and was held there by the police despite a US request for his extradition.

Turkish authorities deported Abu Ghaith to Jordan on March 1 to be sent back to Kuwait but he was seized by CIA agents in Jordan and taken to the United States, the Hurriyet newspaper said.

His deportation coincided with a visit by US Secretary of State John Kerry to Ankara as part of a regional tour, it added.

Hat Tip: Intelwire.

UPDATE II: I'm putting this update above the FBI presser below since the below is so lengthy. But don't you think this is interesting?

Osama bin Laden's son-in-law, Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, has been "cooperating" and has already revealed "key intelligence" about the current status, personnel and finances of al Qaeda even before he was secretly spirited to New York City, U.S. officials told ABC News today.

"It is huge," said Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas), the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee. "This is a man who is in the inner circle of bin Laden's al Qaeda operations and now we have him alive and he's talking."

Isn't that interesting? He's alive and he's talking.

Isn't this the real debate we should be having about drone strikes? That it is better to capture al Qaeda operatives than to kill them since dead men tell no tales?

This is not to say I have moral objections to killing them. Kill them all .... if we could.

But if it's a choice: kill or capture. Then the choice should be capture.

Which is why the Obama drone strike policy is morally destitute. This would be the man that objected to extraordinary rendition, black sites, and harsh interrogation.

It's immoral, in Obama's view, to send an al Qaeda operative to Saudi Arabia. It's immoral to hold them for a number of years at a black site above and beyond the reach of US courts. It's immoral to hurt them emotionally, psychologically, or physically while they are under US control.

Even when any of these things led to intelligence which helped us capture or kill other al Qaeda operatives.

But killing them? No big deal.

Hurting someone is immoral, but not killing them. But that is the morally inverted world that liberals live in. It helps them sleep at night.

Me? I don't lose any sleep knowing that a member of al Qaeda is being waterboarded or killed. Either way is good by me, with the waterboarding being the lesser of two necessary evils.

UPDATE by Rusty: Any opposed to droning his ass? I mean, after a fair trial, of course.

FBI Presser:

Sulaiman Abu Ghayth, a/k/a “Suleiman Abu Gayth,” a former associate of Osama bin Laden, has been arrested and charged in an indictment unsealed today in New York City with conspiracy to kill U.S. nationals, announced Attorney General Eric Holder, Assistant Attorney General for National Security Lisa Monaco, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara, the Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s New York Field Office George Venizelos, and the Police Commissioner of the City of New York (NYPD) Raymond W. Kelly. Abu Ghayth is expected to be presented and arraigned tomorrow, March 8, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. before U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan.

“No amount of distance or time will weaken our resolve to bring America’s enemies to justice,” said Attorney General Holder. “To violent extremists who threaten the American people and seek to undermine our way of life, this arrest sends an unmistakable message: There is no corner of the world where you can escape from justice because we will do everything in our power to hold you accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”

“The arrest of Abu Ghayth is an important milestone in our ongoing counterterrorism efforts. I applaud the many agents, analysts, and prosecutors responsible for bringing about this significant case and arrest,” said Assistant Attorney General Monaco.

“It has been 13 years since Abu Ghayth allegedly worked alongside Osama bin Laden in his campaign of terror and 13 years since he allegedly took to the public airwaves, exhorting others to embrace al Qaeda’s cause and warning of more terrorist attacks like the mass murder of 9/11,” said U.S. Attorney Bharara. “The memory of those attacks is indelibly etched on the American psyche, and today’s action is the latest example of our commitment to capturing and punishing enemies of the United States, no matter how long it takes.”

“Sulaiman Abu Ghayth held a key position in al Qaeda, comparable to the consigliere in a mob family or propaganda minister in a totalitarian regime,” said FBI Assistant Director in Charge Venizelos. “He used his position to persuade others to swear loyalty to al Qaeda’s murderous cause. He used his position to threaten the United States and incite its enemies. His apprehension is another important step in the campaign to limit the reach of al Qaeda and enhance our national and international security.”

“While New York City must remain vigilant to continued terrorist threats against it, Abu Ghayth’s apprehension and prosecution promises to close another chapter in al Qaeda’s notoriously violent history of killing Americans,” said NYPD Commissioner Kelly. “This case also represents another success in the ongoing partnership between federal agents and NYPD detectives through the JTTF.”

As alleged in the superseding indictment that has been filed against Abu Ghayth in federal court:

Since around 1989, al Qaeda has been an international terrorist organization dedicated to opposing non-Islamic governments with force and violence. Osama bin Laden served as the leader, or “emir,” of al Qaeda until his death on or about May 2, 2011. Members of al Qaeda typically have pledged an oath of allegiance, called bayat, to bin Laden and to al Qaeda.

The core purpose of al Qaeda, as stated by bin Laden and other leaders, is to support violent attacks against property and nationals, both military and civilian, of the United States and other countries. Between 1989 and 2001, al Qaeda established training camps, guest houses, and business operations in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other countries for the purpose of training and supporting its agenda of violence and murder. Members and associates of al Qaeda have executed a number of terrorist attacks, all in furtherance of the organization’s stated conspiracy to kill Americans, including the attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001, in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, which killed approximately 2,976 people.

From at least May 2001 up to around 2002, Abu Ghayth served alongside Osama bin Laden, appearing with bin Laden and his then-deputy Ayman al Zawahiri, speaking on behalf of the terrorist organization and in support of its mission, and warning that attacks similar to those of September 11, 2001, would continue.

In particular, around May 2001, Abu Ghayth urged individuals at a guest house in Kandahar, Afghanistan, to swear bayat to bin Laden. On the evening of September 11, 2001, after the terrorist attacks on the United States, bin Laden summoned Abu Gayth and asked for his assistance, and he agreed to provide it. On the morning of September 12, 2001, Abu Ghayth, appeared with bin Laden and al Zawahiri and spoke on behalf of al Qaeda, warning the United States and its allies that “[a] great army is gathering against you” and called upon “the nation of Islam” to do battle against “the Jews, the Christians, and the Americans.” Also, after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Abu Ghayth delivered a speech in which he addressed the then-U.S. Secretary of State and warned that “the storms shall not stop, especially the airplanes storm” and advised Muslims, children, and opponents of the United States “not to board any aircraft and not to live in high rises.”

Abu Gayth arranged to be, and was, successfully smuggled from Afghanistan into Iran in 2002.

* * * * *

The indictment charges Abu Ghayth with participating in a conspiracy to kill United States nationals, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2332(b). The offense carries a maximum term of imprisonment of life. No trial date has yet been set in the case.

The charges and arrest of Abu Ghayth are the result of the close cooperative efforts of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, the Joint Terrorism Task Force—which principally consists of agents and detectives of the FBI and the New York City Police Department—the United States Marshals Service and the National Security Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. The Justice Department’s Office of International Affairs and the U.S. Department of State also provided assistance.

The prosecution is being handled by Assistant United States Attorneys John P. Two eHadis Arrested in France Planned Bombing

France has really stepped up to the plate lately. And with a socialist in office? Maybe this is one of those "only Nixon could have opened up China" moments? When the conservative arrests Muslims, it's Islamophobia. But when the socialist does it? Viva la France!

Two Frenchmen suspected of plotting terrorist attacks, making explosives and extremist activity online were detained Thursday, amid heightened concern about threats to France over its military campaign against al-Qaida-linked fighters in Mali.

Officials at the Interior Ministry and the Paris prosecutor’s office say intelligence and police officers detained the young men Thursday in a house in Marignane near the Mediterranean port city of Marseille. Authorities were scouring the house for explosives or other evidence of terrorist connections. The suspects are French citizens, aged 18 and 20, the officials said.

Why Obama Won't Admit that He Can't Assassinate Americans in America
UPDATE - Holder: "No Domestic Drone Strikes"

The Constitution is clear that due process must be extended to all US citizens on US soil at all times. Further, the due process clauses of both the 5th and 14th Armaments are expressly linked to killing.

"nor shall any person ... be deprived of life ... without due process of law"
-5th Amendment

"nor shall any State deprive any person of life .... without due process of law"
-14th Amendment

Why then did Rand Paul spend 15 hours yesterday on a moral rampage over the Obama Administration's refusal to answer his question over whether or not an American citizen can be killed via drone attack on US soil?

The answer is obviously no. Why then all the fuss?

It's simple: President Obama needs the controversy in order to make those opposed to him seem like they are crazy.

In effect, by not answering Rand Paul's rather simple question he is creating another birther controversy. He's attempting to make the opposition out to be extremists, and a little off kilter.

In order to understand this, recall that the Birther controversy lasted as long as it did because the White House refused to release Obama's birth certificate until his first term in office was nearly over.

We have to acknowledge that a great deal of the Birther controversy was in fact fueled by paranoid conspiracy theorists. Obama was seen by this group as somehow part of a larger Red plot to infiltrate America and take it over from the inside.

Even if that was the core constituency of Birtherism, a group that to this day won't acknowledge that Obama was born in Hawaii even after his birth certificate was released, that a much greater number were drawn into skepticism by the fact that Obama wouldn't do the one very simple thing needed to prove that he was a natural born citizen.

By not releasing his birth certificate the ranks of Birthers grew.

It would be so easy to prove that he was born in Hawaii, so why doesn't he just do it? He must be hiding something....

President Obama's strategy for winning the 2012 election was that of divide and conquer. And one of the ways you do that is to convince a portion of the American people that the opposition is filled with crazy nutjobs. This is especially effective with low information voters, some of which see voting as kind of a statement of belonging to a group.

Do you want to be part of the reality based community, or are you a crazy birther?

I see what is happening right now with Rand Paul and the Obama Administration as part of the same strategy.

Any one who has read the Holder memos on drone strikes immediately notices two things:

1) The memo overtly states that the policy applies only to the overseas killing of Americans. And it's not subtle about this.

2) The memo clearly states that the persons being killed belong to al Qaeda, a group which we are at war with. In a war, you don't go to a judge before you drop a bomb.

So, if the Obama administration never asserted the right to assassinate an American citizen on American soil, then what is all the hullabaloo over?

There is a paranoid fringe on both the Right and Left that sees a grand conspiracy in nearly everything. The "black helicopter" paranoia of the '80s and '90s have been replaced by the drone paranoia of the present decade.

Surrounding this fringe, but not part of it, are those that simply don't trust government. I count myself as part of that latter group. I don't believe in grand conspiracies, yet I do not want to give the government the tools it would need should future leaders try and oppress the American people. It could happen, even if the probability of it happening is low we should guard our liberties like precious jewels.

Since the majority of the American people have not actually read the Holder memo on drone strikes, they simply do not know that the Administration never asserted a right to assassinate Americans on US soil.

Rand Paul knows this.

What he's asking the Administration to do is prove that they don't believe something which they never claimed they believe.

I can't believe that even he believes the slippery slope argument that he's making. I'm also not sure the political game he's playing or what he thinks he'll get out of this. He's certainly getting a lot of attention and a lot of support from the Right.

Part of this support is simple partisanship. We simply like any one who is willing to stand up to Barrack Obama. Rand Paul certainly has some backbone, doesn't he?

Mostly I think this support comes from people who haven't actually read the Holder memo. We've read the headlines that a memo was released which claimed that Obama can kill American citizens. And we've heard that the Administration hasn't denied that it has this right. So .......

It's the birth certificate controversy all over again. It could be over today. All we are waiting for is for the President to deny that he has a power which he never asserted.

Instead, we get nothing.

Worse than nothing. We get Eric Holder going out on a limb and imagining a hypothetical situation where a drone strike would actually be appropriate: another 9/11.

Is that shocking? No, it's not.

Holder is simply saying what the Bush Administration said before it: that it would shoot down a hijacked plane if we thought it was going to be used as a piloted suicide missile in the same way the 9/11 attacks occurred.

There is nothing extraordinary in this. Of course the President has the right to authorize the downing of a hijacked plane! Did we learn nothing from 9/11?

Unless, of course, you believe that there is some difference between a manned airplane and an unmanned airplane -- a so-called "drone".

The difference being ...... ??? What, precisely?

I have actually followed Ryan's objections. But if you listen to them carefully all of them are hypothetical and based on faulty slippery slope argument.

If the President can kill US citizens there, what is to stop him from killing US citizens here?

We don't need a "rule" for this because the "rule" is the fundamental law of the US: the Constitution.

I saw someone today tweeted that we need a "rule of engagement" for killing people in the US. No we don't. Rules of engagement are made for war. Inside the US we are not at war.

We don't engage the enemy here, we arrest them.

And we don't need to elaborate further since both the 5th and 14th Amendment specifically address the concern.

Which is why Holder's answer is so puzzling. If the administration wanted to clear the air why didn't they just tell Sen. Ryan, "No, we can't do that"?

Isn't the answer simple? They don't want to clear the air. They want to keep this political maelstrom going. They want to distract the American people from, well, everything!

$16.5 trillion in debt.

The worst recovery in US history -- ever!

Millions of people unemployed or underemployed.

And no end in site of the economic misery. Obama's failures are simply the new normal.

But, look kids, the Republicans are so nutty!

Rand Paul may be scoring some personal political points by trying to drag this thing out for as long as possible. It may help him with several elements in the base.

But if Paul is counting on this controversy to bolster his cred, so too must the President be counting on the same thing.

Remember the short-lived Donald Trump mania last year? It's the same thing all over again. How'd that work out for us?

Betting against Obama on this is about as big a mistake as betting against a Sicilian when death is on the line. It's a mistake second only to starting a land war in China.

So, unless Ryan has been gradually building up his resistance to iocane powder over the years I'm guessing that this will work out for him about as well as it worked out for Trump.

This is how I see this thing playing out. Over the next few weeks or months, as the next budgetary "cliff" approaches, Obama will use this sideshow to distract the American people from the true state of the Union. His allies in the media will frame the issue as "Republican extremism", "antics", or crazy black drones in the skies conspiracy theories. [UPDATE: It's happening already]

A lot of low information voters will think the Republicans are weird. They don't want to be weird.

Then at some point he will go ahead and tell Rand Paul exactly what Rand Paul wants to hear: the President does not have the authority to kill US citizens in the US.

At which point he will confirm what we all knew already, but the damage will be done. You don't "un-weird" yourself overnight. Once you get that stink, it lingers.

UPDATE: Fixed a stupid mistake. Thanks to MTB.

I'll address a couple of objections in the comments.

First, from Odie Wan Kenobe:

"I just don't see the difference between sniping a confederate from a balloon or tree as much different that a drone strike. Or say an ATF raid in WACO."

The ATF isn't the military. They're law enforcement. We can debate the merits of Waco some other time, but worst case scenario that was a case of law enforcement officers jumping the gun with a guy who was resisting arrest and a lot of innocent people dying.

The key element here being resisting arrest.

No one was on a kill list. The ATF had a subpoena for arrest. So there's no comparison here. Nor with the Civil War which was a state of insurrection, which is also addressed specifically in the US Consitution Art. 1, sec. 8, authorizing Congress, "To provide for calling forth the Militia to ... suppress Insurrections"

Tim notes that I am contradicting myself in saying the President has the right to down a hijacked plane but that we don't need a rule of engagement.

I don't think so. Here's why.

The rules of engagement are made by command so that soldiers down the line have a decision rule as to when it is ok to engage the enemy and when it is not.

In the 9/11 hypothetical I don't think the call would be the soldier's to make. The President himself (or herself) would have to make the call to shoot down a plane over US territory should it be on the way to ram itself in, say, The Sears Tower.

So, since the decision to strike isn't the soldier's to make (whether a drone pilot or an F-22 pilot) they don't need a decision rule to help them decide.

If you call that a rule of engagement, then we're just arguing semantics. If you want to call it a "rule" or whatever, I'll cede the point. As long as we both agree that the decision to use military force in the US is a) the President's alone if and when the threat is immanent and there is no time to call Congress before the decision can be made.

UPDATE: I was wrong. Holder didn't let this fester. I was expecting this weeks from now at the earliest:

Dear Senator Paul:

It has come to my attention that you have now asked an additional question: "Does the President have the authority to use a weaponized drone to kill an American not engaged in combat on American soil?" The answer to that question is no.

Greece To Probe Threats To Turn Immigrants Into Soap, Put Them In Ovens

The group said they were joking.

Sure you were:

[A]THENS, Greece (JTA) — Greek police are investigating the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party after some of its members were filmed threatening to turn immigrants “into soap” and put them in “ovens.”

The investigation, announced Wednesday, was prompted by the broadcast Tuesday of a program on Britain’s Channel 4 News that followed Golden Dawn candidates during last year’s elections. In the program, one of the candidates, Alexandros Plomeratis, makes clear Holocaust references in threatening the many immigrants who live in Athens. “We are ready to turn on the ovens,” he says. “We will turn them into soap but we may get a rash.” Plomaritis, who was not elected to parliament, also threatened to “make lamps from their skins.”[More..]

Syrian Rebels Kidnap UN Peacekeepers Near Israel Border
Hostage Video:'We Cannot go Home Because Assad Gov't Wont Stop Bombing'..

Gee, lets help them some more, eh John Kerry?

[S]yria rebels near the village of Jamla on the Golan Heights captured a convoy of United Nations vehicles and kidnapped 21 Filipino UN employees Wednesday.

The kidnappers were negotiating with UN forces and demanding that the Syrian regime remove all its troops from the area adjoining the Syrian side of the border with Israel.

The UN Security Council demanded their immediate and unconditional release.

In Manila, Philippine military spokesman Col. Arnulfo Marcelo Burgos said that Syrian rebels were holding 21 Filipino peacekeepers “as guests.”[...]

A video clip released by the rebels shows a number of gunmen standing alongside the UN vehicles, while their apparent leader announced his demands. Some of the United Nations employees can be seen inside the vehicles.

In a second video, the same rebel spokesman is seen accusing the UN, the Assad regime and Europe of “collaborating with Israel.”[...]

The Free Syrian army will remain here until we banish Bashar and his oppression,” one rebel is seen saying.

The video accuses the peacekeepers of assisting the Syrian regime to redeploy in an area near the Golan that the fighters seized a few days ago in battles that left 11 fighters and 19 regime forces dead.

A man identified as Abu Qaed al-Faleh, spokesman for the Martyrs of Yarmouk Brigades, announced the group is holding the peacekeepers until Syrian President Bashar Assad’s forces withdraw from Jamla.[More]

Videos below the fold including two hostage videos posted today:

These two videos maybe why the Philippine military spokesman Col. Arnulfo Marcelo Burgos said that Syrian rebels were holding 21 Filipino peacekeepers “as guests.”.

Remember The Democratic Poll Worker Who Boasted About Voting Six Times For President Obama?

Melowese Richardson, a Democratic poll worker, proudly admits she not only voted twice for herself, but voted for family members who had also already voted! She voted as many as six times.

To date, she has not been charged, though the election board claims to be investigating. But why the delay? Richardson brags about voting multiple times. She was a poll worker who should have known better.

So, how is that case different than that of 86-year-old Margaret Schneider, an elderly Parkinson's patient who forgot she mailed an absentee ballot a month earlier? And not even in the Presidential election, but during a state primary?

Schneider, 86, has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and dementia is one of her symptoms. [...]

Schneider doesn’t deny the allegation. She realizes now, after talking with St. Peter police detective Travis Sandland, that she did vote twice. She voted once with an absentee ballot on July 13 and again at her polling place Aug. 14.

"It had been awhile and I didn’t even remember," Schneider said. "I was shocked to death because I thought my absentee ballot was for the president."

The difference is, Schneider has been charged with a felony.

Nigerian Islamists Behead "Informant"

I haven't seen this video, but do I really need to see it to understand the kind of animals we're dealing with here?

A man accused of being an informant has been beheaded by Islamist group Boko Haram. The incident was recorded in a video obtained Tuesday in which the victim accused of being an informant appears to be beheaded on camera.
And, oddly enough, it seems like YouTube is the protagonist of the story:
The clip has been distributed to Nigerian journalists in the country's north in recent days through intermediaries....

Sources familiar with Boko Haram say it was handed out in this manner because Nigerian authorities have been blocking the group's videos from being uploaded to YouTube.

On second thought, you really do need to see the video to understand the brutality of these people. Words alone cannot describe the visceral reaction any moral being has when witnessing someone being murdered. I can't explain why that it is, but it's true.

Nigeria: Islamists Murder Christians For Not Participating In Evening Prayers

The Religion of Peace™.

(Hat Tip: Jihad Watch)

The only thing that really surprises me about this story is that the Islamists didn't take the women and children as booty.

Reports of the attack reaching us disclosed that on that fateful Saturday at about 7 p.m, Muslim faithful were conducting their prayer close to the affected compound occupied by Christian families, when two taxi cabs stopped in front of the compound and the occupants, who all concealed their arms dashed into the complex and demanded to know why the residents were not part of the 7 p.m. Muslim prayer.

They responded by telling the visitors they were Christians and so could not be part of the Muslim gathering. At that point, they separated the men from their wives and children and shot them dead on the spot after ordering the women and children into their homes.

This also stood out for me:

The 13th victim, who hid in a dark alley in the compound, surrendered himself, following threats by the gunmen to visit the same fate on the women and children if any man was found shielded.

This seems to illustrate the difference between radical Islam and Christianity. The Islamists were prepared to kill the women and children, but the Christian sacrificed his life for them.

Also of great concern to the minority Christian residents is that the Kano State Government in the Muslim dominated North Nigeria seems indifferent to the killings.

Good News! FLOTUS & John Kerry To Honor Anti-Semite & 9/11 Fan
Update: State Dept 'Looking Into It'..
Update: State Dept Scrubs Samira Ibrahim's Bio

On Friday March 8, Michelle Obama will join John Kerry at a special ceremony at the State Department to present ten women the Secretary of State’s International Women of Courage Award....[...]

Samira Ibrahim, as the State Department’s profile describes her, “was among seven women subjected by the Egyptian military to forced virginity tests in March 2011.” The press release further notes that Samira “was arrested while in high school for writing a paper that criticized Arab leaders’ insincere support to the Palestinian cause.” Apparently, the State Department is unaware of her other convictions.

On Twitter, Ibrahim is quite blunt regarding her views. On July 18 of last year, after five Israeli tourists and a Bulgarian bus driver were killed a suicide bombing attack, Ibrahim jubilantly tweeted: “An explosion on a bus carrying Israelis in Burgas airport in Bulgaria on the Black Sea. Today is a very sweet day with a lot of very sweet news.”[...]

Ibrahim holds other repellent views as well. As a mob was attacking the United States embassy in Cairo on the eleventh anniversary of 9/11, pulling down the American flag and raising the flag of Al Qaeda, Ibrahim wrote on twitter: “Today is the anniversary of 9/11. May every year come with America burning.” Possibly fearing the consequences of her tweet, she deleted it a couple of hours later, but not before a screen shot was saved by an Egyptian activist.

Just today, apparently after having warned that her vicious tweets might cause her trouble during her visit to the U.S., she has written on twitter: “My account has been previously stolen and any tweet on racism and hatred is not me.” However, in the past she never made any mention of her account being “stolen.” The record of her anti-Semitic tweets is still available online.

North Korean Approved Hairstyles

(Pyongyang, North Korea) The government in North Korea has approved a range of acceptable hairstyles for its citizens, claiming they are "most comfortable" and "capable of warding off the corrupting effects of capitalism."

Spiky hair is forbidden, as are quiffs — the nation has learned the baleful lesson from the decadent South that outrageous hairstyles may lead to the formation of effete boy bands or to pervasive mental health problems whereby people hallucinate riding invisible horses.[…]

Approved styles for single women are simple but married women are permitted to indulge in a few extra stylistic flourishes. This also has the useful effect of establishing whether a woman is married or not at a glance.[…]

The hair of the country's young men should be less than 5 cm long and they should have a haircut once every 15 days as longer hair apparently takes away nutrition from their brains. Older men, whose brains are presumably in decline anyway, are allowed to rock out with hair as long as 7 cm.

Interestingly, Dear Leader Kim Jong-Un sports an unapproved hairstyle but nobody has the hair to call him on the violation.

According to, the vote on 2013 funding for Obamacare is being rushed to the House floor TODAY:

House Speaker John Boehner and House GOP leadership rapidly scheduled a Wednesday morning floor vote on legislation that will fund the government—including the controversial Affordable Care Act—for the rest of the year, Breitbart News has learned.

As Breitbart News reported late Tuesday, 30 House Republicans have signed a letter demanding Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor not pass a Continuing Resolution that funds Obamacare at all. Jim Bridenstine of Oklahoma and Tim Huelskamp of Kansas to get other members to support the effort.

When Boehner and Cantor received the letter, a senior GOP source told Breitbart News that both were shocked by the large response and frantically scheduled the CR vote for Wednesday morning.

“Leadership scheduled the vote for Wednesday morning after seeing the Obamacare letter, believing it’s better to go now than wait,” the senior GOP adviser on Capitol Hill said.

Boehner and Cantor attributed their decision to forecasted inclement weather. A major snowstorm is expected to hit Washington, D.C. in the next couple days.

If you have an opinion on Obamacare, this would be a good time to make some noise.

Non-Sarcastic Good News: Hugo Chavez Dead

He's dead!

President Hugo Chávez of Venezuela died Tuesday afternoon after a long battle with cancer, the government announced, leaving behind a bitterly divided nation in the grip of a political crisis that grew more acute as he languished for weeks, silent and out of sight in hospitals in Havana and Caracas.

His departure from a country he dominated for 14 years casts into doubt the future of his socialist revolution. It alters the political balance in Venezuela, the fourth-largest foreign oil supplier to the United States, and in Latin America, where Mr. Chávez led a group of nations intent on reducing American influence in the region.

All Your Drones Are Belongs to Someone Else

First, the FBI is saying that a drone spotted over JFK yesterday wasn't one of ours:

On Monday, March, 4, 2013, at approximately 1:15 p.m., the pilot of Alitalia Flight #608 spotted a small, unmanned aircraft while on approach to John F. Kennedy International Airport. The Alitalia flight was roughly three miles from runway 31R when the incident occurred at an altitude of approximately 1,750 feet. The unmanned aircraft came within 200 feet of the Alitalia plane.

The FBI is investigating the incident and looking to identify and locate the aircraft and its operator. The unnamed aircraft was described as black in color and no more than three feet wide with four propellers.

“The FBI is asking anyone with information about the unmanned aircraft or the operator to contact us,” said Special Agent in Charge John Giacalone. “Our paramount concern is the safety of aircraft passengers and crew.”

I dunno, sounds more like a big model plane to me than a "drone". But, what is a drone if not just a big model plane?

It serves as a reminder that the technology for building "drones" has been around for a long time. I knew a kid back in grade school who's stepfather had two massive model airplanes. I'm not sure just how big they were since I was a kid and perspective changes as you grow, but I want to say that they had like four foot wingspans. Add a camera to them and call them "drones".

The second batch of "these are not the drones you are looking for" come from Pakistan:

When news of the two latest drone strikes emerged from Pakistan’s tribal belt in early February, it seemed to be business as usual by the C.I.A...

Yet there was one problem, according to three American officials with knowledge of the program: The United States did not carry out those attacks.

“They were not ours,” said one of the officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity because of the drone program’s secrecy. “We haven’t had any kinetic activity since January.

As the cost of producing unmanned fixed winged aircraft comes down, we should expect more of them not only over our skies but around the world.

You said that you were a martial arts student, I mean person, experience in taekwondo, and yet because this individual was so large and was able to overcome you even with your skills, and chances are that if you had had a gun, then he would have been able to get than from you and possibly use it against you...

In other words, lie there and enjoy it. It could have been worse.

Saudis Prepare to Crucify Jewel Thieves

Wow, none of them is even remotely accused of anything that would carry the death penalty in the US:

One of seven Saudis due to be put to death on Tuesday by crucifixion and firing squad for armed robbery, speaking over a smuggled mobile phone from his prison cell, has appealed for help to stop the executions.

Nasser al-Qahtani told Associated Press from Abha general prison on Monday that he was arrested as part of 23-member ring that stole from jewellery stores in 2004 and 2005. He said they had been tortured to confess and had no access to lawyers...

The main defendant, Sarhan al-Mashayeh, will be crucified for three days. The others will face firing squads.

Thanks to Josh.

Things Not Looking So Great in Iraq

I think that it would be wise to remember that the movement toward democracy in the Muslim Middle East began with the invasion of Iraq. For all the talk of the "Arab Spring", it was preceded by the Cedar Revolution in Lebanon and the failed Green Revolution in Iran. Both, in turn, were spurred by Iraq's forced democratization.

To be honest, I don't know how democratization is going to turn out in the Middle East. Some of my friends who are experts in third-world development assure me that what is going on in the Middle East is quite common to all developing nation-states. That after several decades of fits and starts that they will get it right in the end. They see the fall of dictatorships as a good thing.

I hope they're right, but I don't think they are. The near term evidence seems to suggest that my pessimism is warranted:

A local leader of anti-Al Qaeda militiamen was shot dead Tuesday in western Baghdad, one of four people killed in violence in different parts of Iraq, officials said.

The pro-government militiamen, known as the Sahwa group, joined forces with U.S. troops to fight Al Qaeda during the Iraq war. Since then, the group has been a target for Sunni insurgents who consider its members to be traitors.

Perhaps there's a longer view here in which Muslim countries in the Middle East learn to reconcile competing versions of Islam and the state, but I just don't see that happening any time soon.

Outrage Over Ashley Judd's Hot Lesbian Sex Scene

We are once again going to have to break with the Republican establishment.

As she considers a run against McConnell, the Senate minority leader, Judd has reportedly been meeting with deep-pocketed donors in her home state of Kentucky. She also made a trip to Washington, D.C. last week.

Judd did a lesbian sex scene in 2002′s Oscar-nominated “Frida” and has nine other films categorized as “sexy” by Mr. Skin, meaning that there is at least one racy scene in those films.

Is the post of senator befitting for a woman who has not only showed us her boobies on film, but rubbed her coconuts together with Salma Hayek?

In our opinion the answer is yes, Ashley Judd's hot sex scenes with with Salma Hayek are what we consider good gay.

Its not a bug, its a feature.

JERUSALEM -- A U.N aid agency canceled the Gaza marathon on Tuesday after the Palestinian territory's militant Hamas rulers banned women from participating in the annual sporting event.

Mercy For Chavez?

I like Pejman Yousefzadeh's commentaries.

Only those who approve of Chavez’s particular brand of moral idiocy and his unique capacity to annihilate the Venezuelan economy could possibly feel badly about this, and we know what that makes those people. I suppose that it is worth noting that once upon a time, Michael Moore—who certainly approves of moral idiocy and the destruction of economies via the implementation of socialist economic policies—once made a movie about how Cuban health care might be preferable to the health care found in the United States;

...Chavez may be beyond saving at this point, and is certainly does not deserve to recover from his health woes, but it wouldn’t be the world’s worst idea for the United States to offer to try to help him out via a public statement to the effect that Chavez would be welcome to come to the United States and go to any hospital he wants in order to combat the ailments a just Deity has visited on him. I put forward this idea for the following reasons:

I Call Shenanigans

There has been a sudden burst of racial hate incidents in Alabama, no wait I mean Ohio.

Oberlin College in Ohio suspended classes Monday after a student reported seeing a person resembling a Ku Klux Klan member near the college's Afrikan Heritage House.

The other incidents have included several posters containing multiple racial slurs and other derogatory statements targeting various student communities placed around campus. Other reports include various fliers placed around campus containing racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic language and swastika graffiti.

"The frequency of these reports is astounding," Gadsby said. "Over the past four weeks, there has been a concentration of bias incidents in such a short period of time.

The Jew hating posters are a nice touch, it might throw a few folks off for a bit.

Been there. Done that.

Insert snarky comment here:

The imam of a small mosque in a working-class neighborhood here was found guilty in federal court on Monday of providing thousands of dollars of support to the Pakistani Taliban.

Capping a two-month trial, the imam, Hafiz Khan, 77, an American citizen who came to the United States in 1994, was found guilty by a jury of two counts of conspiracy and two counts of providing material support to terrorists. Each count faces a maximum 15-year prison sentence.

A debate at the highest political level is underway in Norway following NRK TV's 11-minute report on Palestinian Media Watch's findings about PA hate promotion, as documented in PMW's book Deception.

The report by investigative journalist Tormod Strand showed explicit examples of ongoing hate incitement, Antisemitism and terror glorification by the PA.

Obama's Egypt Unleashes Islamic Morality Police

So, Egypt, how's that "democracy" working out for you?

From the Digital Journal via TROP (emphasis mine):

Islamic Cleric Hisham el-Ashri, founder of Egypt's newly launched Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, stated the morality police will only use "non-violent methods" to implement the moral principles of Islam, the IB Times reported.

El-Ashri said: "We will only offer advice to those who want to listen. We shall have no business with people who refuse to listen to us."

In spite of el-Ashri's declarations of non-violence the Salafist morality enforcers will carry canes to beat violaters. According to Bikya News they will be provided with electric tasers at some point in the future.

Yeah, there's no point in offering advice if they won't accept it after a good beating.

51 Dead In Bangladesh War Crimes Tribunal Protests

An update to this story, more than 51 people have been killed after Islamists took to the streets to protest the death sentence of a Jamaat-e-Islami party leader.

From via Creeping Sharia:

Authorities deployed soldiers in a northern Bangladeshi district Sunday after activists of the country's largest Islamic party clashed with police, leaving three people dead during a nationwide general strike called to denounce an ongoing war crimes trial.

Separately two people died Sunday in a northwestern district during similar clashes.

With the latest casualties, the death toll in days of rioting has risen to 51 since Thursday after a war crimes tribunal sentenced Jamaat-e-Islami party leader Delwar Hossain Sayedee to death for atrocities committed during Bangladesh's 1971 independence war against Pakistan.

Islamists are not only protesting the war crimes tribunal, they are demanding the execution of bloggers who support the trials.

One blogger, Ahmed Rajib Haider, was murdered near his home in February. Earlier reports said Haider was "hacked" to death. In fact, he was beheaded.

Students Tackle Gunman, Get Suspended From School

New DHS memo for your only option when faced with an active shooter situation - bend over and kiss your ass goodbye.

Didn't the liberal left just advise students that, as a last resort, they should charge and tackle a shooter?

These kids apparently had no scissors, so they did what they were told to do. Now they are being suspended from school for involvement in "an incident with a weapon":

The student said the suspect, a football player, threatened to shoot a teammate because he had been arguing with his friend.

Authorities confirmed to WFTX the weapon was indeed loaded, and the arrest report stated the suspect, identified by WVZN-TV as Quadryle Davis, was "pointing the gun directly" at the other student and "threatening to shoot him."

That's when, the teen told the station, he and two others tackled the suspect and wrestled the gun away. The next day, all three were suspended.

What next? If you use a pair of scissor to stab a deranged shooter, will you go to jail for assault with a deadly weapon?

I guess a successful self-defense story just doesn't fit the leftist agenda. Maybe they prefer a few dead bodies. That's the only thing I can figure.

Self defense is simply not an option in the liberal agenda. Defending yourself or others only deprives another of his right to express himself.

The school's contact info is HERE:

Cypress Lake High School
6750 Panther Lane
Fort Myers, FL 33919

OFFICE: 239-481-2233

If you contact them, please be civil.

Below the fold, a perfect liberal citizen. A woman interviewed says "self defense is not an option." When asked what if someone was trying to kill her, she replies, "They'll just have to kill me."

This woman would literally rather die than touch a gun. Why am I not surprised she is an Obama supporter?

The Holocaust

What we didn't know about it.

“We knew before how horrible life in the camps and ghettos was,” he said, “but the numbers are unbelievable.”

The documented camps include not only “killing centers” but also thousands of forced labor camps, where prisoners manufactured war supplies; prisoner-of-war camps; sites euphemistically named “care” centers, where pregnant women were forced to have abortions or their babies were killed after birth; and brothels, where women were coerced into having sex with German military personnel.

Auschwitz and a handful of other concentration camps have come to symbolize the Nazi killing machine in the public consciousness. Likewise, the Nazi system for imprisoning Jewish families in hometown ghettos has become associated with a single site — the Warsaw Ghetto, famous for the 1943 uprising. But these sites, infamous though they are, represent only a minuscule fraction of the entire German network, the new research makes painfully clear.

Wow. There truly is no limit to the depth that evil men will descend.

Graziano faces nine counts of attempted murder stemming from the firebombing of a rabbi’s residence in Rutherford on Jan. 11, 2012. Obama You Can't Visit The Temple Mount, Signed Hamas

I don't think Hamas or other Islamists have to worry about that, just saying:

[R]esponding to unconfirmed rumors that US President Barack Obama intends to visit the Temple Mount in Jerusalem during his trip to Israel next month, the Hamas terror group warned the American leader against the idea on Tuesday, calling it “a diplomatic catastrophe,” and local Muslim leaders set stiff conditions for a presidential tour there.

A statement issued by Hamas called Obama’s potential visit to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, located at the southern perimeter of the Mount, “an imminent danger which the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem have never faced.”[More...]

Oh my, danger!!

Well, if he does go, which I doubt, I think he should go through the Mughrabi Gate to enter the Temple Mount

According to a protocol drafted by the Waqf in 1967, official visitors may enter the Temple Mount through any of its 11 gates excluding the Mughrabi Gate, which is connected to the Western Wall plaza by a bridge.
Mughrabi Gate.jpg
“The Israeli army stole the keys to that gate from the Islamic Waqf, so entry through that gate gives the impression that Israel has sovereignty over Al-Aqsa,” Sabri said.

We insist on Muslim sovereignty over the Temple Mount,” he said.

Israel took control of Jerusalem’s Old City, including the Temple Mount, in the 1967 Six Day War

Update: A propaganda tidbit tweeted from Hamas

Sheikh Khatib slams Obama's planned visit to O. Jerusalem
He explained that Obama plans to enter the Aqsa Mosque through Al-Maghariba Gate under the Israeli police protection without any coordination with the Islamic waqf authority, which is in charge of the Mosque, in order to support the Jews' temple allegations.
Obama has gone from 'maybe visiting' to visiting and using the Mughrabi Gate to enter.

Pakistani Terrorists Use Bombs That Resemble Toys To Target Children

Because they are the wrong kind of Muslims.

NOWSHERA, Pakistan – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to educate children about the dangers of toy-like bombs after militants allegedly targeted them recently with bombs disguised as candy, toys and even a string of ball-shaped explosives tied to a cricket bat.

The February 5 discovery of the string of bombs tied to the cricket bat in Akora Khattak, Nowshera District, reminded educators and parents of the militants' desire to harm children.

"The bombs were in the shape of cricket balls and tied up to the handle of the cricket bat and placed near the school to attract children," Rajab Ali, station house officer, told Central Asia Online then. "But locals informed the police in time, and the bombs were defused."

4 in UK Plead Guilty to Terror Charges

The typical jihadi plot these days is so full of fail, that I'm constantly reminded of the movie Four Lions:

The men involved were Zahid Iqbal, 31, Mohammed Sharfaraz Ahmed, 25, Umar Arshad, 24, and Syed Farhan Hussain, 21.

They admitted a single terrorism charge at high-security Woolwich Crown Court just weeks before they were due to face trial.

The home-grown terrorists boasted they would kill more people than the July 7 bombers and wanted to create another landmark date alongside 9/11.

And where did they get their plans? Samir Khan's Inspire magazine.

"News": Iran Torturing, Executing, Amputating, Flogging in Public

This is .... news? Eh, maybe to people like Michael Moore:

Iran has stepped up executions of prisoners including juveniles as well as arrests of dissidents who are often tortured in jail, sometimes to death, the United Nations reported on Thursday....

"The Secretary-General remains deeply troubled by reports of increasing numbers of executions, including of juvenile offenders and in public; continuing amputations and flogging; arbitrary arrest and detention; unfair trials, torture and ill-treatment; and severe restrictions targeting media professionals, human rights defenders, lawyers and opposition activities, as well as religious minorities," Ban reported.

Bloomberg: US Can Borrow Infinite Amount Of Money Because It Has No Money To Pay It Back

Or something like that. I don't know what the hell he's talking about...

"We are spending money we don't have," Mr. Bloomberg explained. "It's not like your household. In your household, people are saying, 'Oh, you can't spend money you don't have.' That is true for your household because nobody is going to lend you an infinite amount of money. When it comes to the United States federal government, people do seem willing to lend us an infinite amount of money,... Our debt is so big and so many people own it that it's preposterous to think that they would stop selling us more. It's the old story: If you owe the bank $50,000, you got a problem. If you owe the bank $50 million, they got a problem. And that's a problem for the lenders. They can't stop lending us more money."

Debt - I do not think it means what Bloomberg thinks it means.

Isn't this how we got into this economic mess in the first place? People borrowing more money than they could afford to repay just because government regulations required banks to give them money?

AQIM Commander Killed in Mali

Two posts in a row where the French take on terrorists? I blame the sequester.

If anyone deserved to die, it was Abou Zeid:

ne of al-Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb’s top commanders was killed by French ground forces at the foothills of the Adrar des Ifoghas, a region in Mali’s extreme Northwest, where other top AQIM leadership and numerous French hostages are believed to be located...

Abou Zeid himself was one of AQIMs top three commanders and the unofficial governor of Timbuktu before it’s liberation at the hands of French and Malian forces last month. Zeid was also known by experts as the organization’s most radical and violent leader opposed to the more “fight and plunder” mentality of the other remaining commanders, Mokhtar Belmokhtar and Abu Musab Abdel Wadoud. (Yes, you two are next, in case you were wondering.)

France is killing hostage takers rather than paying them off? I need to wake up.

3 Chechens Arrested in France

Hopefully this will be precursor to Europeans finally taking the Chechen jihad seriously. But I doubt it:

Three Chechens suspected of Islamist terrorist activity were arrested in France this week in a joint French-Spanish operation, Spain's Interior Ministry said Friday....

The suspects were identified as Ali Dokaev, arrested in Noyon, 100 kilometers (62 miles) northeast of Paris; Elsy Issakov, arrested in Les Lilas on the east side of Paris; and Mourad Idrissov, arrested in Genevieve des Bois, on the south side of Paris, the ministry said.

These three are connected to another Chechen arrested last month in Spain who had al Qaeda connections.

Obama: "Damn it, Jim! I'm A President, Not A Jedi Dictator!"

President Obama complains he can't do a "Jedi Mind Meld" on Republicans:

During President Barack Obama's surprise sequester press conference, CNN reporter Jessica Yellin asked him why he couldn't do anything to stop the automatic spending cuts that start to take effect today.

Obama responded by answering with what was supposed to be a Star Wars reference — but he ended up confusing Star Wars and Star Trek.

"I can’t do some kind of Jedi Mind Meld on congressional Republicans," Obama said.

President Obama wished he could alternatively do a Jedi Death Grip on Conservatives, but that power was also not his to use. He concluded the press conference saying, "May the force be with you so you can live long and prosper."

By DMartyr at 12:28 PM | Comments |

The sequester will reduce government spending by 2 cents for every dollar. That's better than nothing. But when you think about it, it isn't really much. A family with a monthly budget of $2000 would have to cut the equivalent of $40. That may be a lot to some, but for most it is basically, pizza night.
