Nice: MMA Fighter Waves Hezbollah Flag After Winning Fight

At first I thought this was the UFC, but it's not. It's the CFC, which I had to look up. It's Australia's version of the UFC, but still, this isn't Lebanon or Iran where the terrorists in Hezbollah might be more welcome.

They're up to CFC 19, and this is from CFC 11, so it's got to be a couple of years old but I hadn't heard about it until Aaron Zelin pointed it out on twitter. He mentions that the match took place in the US, but I'm thinking that the person who wrote the Arabic description of the match probably couldn't tell the difference between an Australian and American accent.

Obviously, the wrong guy got beat down.

Here's a screenshot of the winner holding up the flag. His name is -- get this -- Muhammad Ali. The resolution isn't that great, but the entire video is below.

UK Recalls Diplomatic Staff from Iran

LONDON (AP) -- Britain's foreign secretary on Wednesday ordered all Iranian diplomats out of the U.K within 48 hours following attacks on the British embassy and a residential compound in Tehran.

William Hague told the House of Commons that Britain had also pulled its entire diplomatic staff out of Iran for their safety following the violence.

...Hague said the private quarters of staff and Britain's ambassador were trashed, the main embassy office set on fire and personal possessions belonging to British diplomats stolen by a regime-backed Basij militia group.

..."We should be clear from the outset that this is an organization controlled by elements of the Iranian regime," Hague said. "The idea that the Iranian authorities could not have protected our embassy or that this assault could have taken place without some degree of regime consent is fanciful."

Attn: Joe Lieberman Re: Jihadtube

Is This The Kind Of Effort You “Commend?

Same song, umpteenth verse. “YouTube staff review flagged videos 24 hours a day, seven days a week to determine whether they violate our Community Guidelines. When they do, we remove them.” And then when a user has three strikes against him, the account is suspended! NOT!

The users highlighted in red in the two groups below have all lost three or more videos to Community Guideline violations in the last nine days - but have not been suspended. Numbers in parenthesis indicate how many videos they started with, the second number shows how many videos they currently have. ALL of the 28 ID’s are actually just one person.

One of three things is at work here -

YouTube has not defined “terrorist” within their Community Guidelines, therefore their employees don’t know a terrorist from an apple vendor.

YouTube hires K-Mart rejects who cannot count up to three.

YouTube/Google – when all is said and done – really doesn’t give a damn.
Trust me, your money is safe on #3.

We appreciate very much the good Senator's efforts but Google makes a habit of using a passive system and doublespeak on this issue.

Google and Youtube's community policing policies are inadequate to the task at hand. Until they dedicate resources to this specific issue in a proactive manner, Jihadi propaganda will continue to inspire terrorists faster than we can investigate and stop them. A new proactive approach that makes it more difficult to upload and share terrorist propaganda and an active effort to preserve and share intelligence in appropriate cases is very much needed.

To be fair Google is only one front in the Cyber Jihad but its the one with the most reach and influence.

Drunk Groping Teacher Convicted, Avoids Jail

Katherine Goldberg

(London, England) (London, England) A 25-year-old schoolteacher, Katherine Goldberg, has pleaded guilty to groping a Virgin Atlantic steward at 33,000 feet and demanding sex after drinking a pint of whisky on a flight from South Africa to England.

Reportedly, Goldberg experienced an alcohol-induced illusion that the flight steward was her boyfriend so she sat on his lap and grabbed hold of his junk. She was arrested and charged with sexual assault.

As a result of pleading guilty, Goldberg has been sentenced to community service and ordered to pay a fine and court costs. She avoided jail.

Former Troll & Current Belgian Jihadi Unclear on the Term "Democracy"

Censored31's Blog Owned by Howie

Pro-al Qaeda blogger from Belgium, regular contributor to extremist forums, and former troll at The Jawa Report "Censored31" is having a little difficulty understanding the word "democracy". He has a string of posts allegedly showing how evil "democracy" is, mostly links to articles about this or that sin of a Western power, but then he has this weird headline, "Assad's democratic forces humiliate men by making them imitate animal sounds" [emphasis mine].

Bashar al-Assad's Syria is ..... democratic? The dictator Assad is representative of ..... democracy?

Then his buddy Ansaruddin defends the statement to me in a series of tweets by claiming that since Assad claims Syria is a democracy and that they held a referendum in which he "won" then, yeah, it's a "democracy".

Also a democracy by this definition: every other dictatorship and/or communist country in the world.

Look, if you people want to support al Qaeda, fine. You're showing your true colors and letting the world know just what you "real Salafis" think. You're doing us a favor.

But to claim a dictator who inherited power from his father, who is the leader of the same political party as Saddam Hussein -- the Arab version of the Nazi party, the Baathists -- and who "won" a referendum with a Soviet style 97.2% "vote", that just shows that you're not only misled about the nature of fundamental human rights but also that you're either stupid or a liar.

Even your old buddy Zach Chesser wouldn't make such a fundamentally stupid statement. Unless the pair of you want to be remembered as the intellectual peers of, say, an Emerson "Goatly" Begolly after your're put behind bars then I'd say you might want to abandon that line of thinking and move on to more important things.

Like does Allah require you to wage violent jihad or is he content with all this pussy blogging you've been up to?

Heartache: AQIM Plot to Kidnap Westerners Harshing Rusty's Dream of Seeing Tatooine

The saddest part? Much of the on location scenes for the original Star Wars on Tatooine were shot in this region. It's just one more thing on my bucket list that I'll never get to check off:

Algeria's secret service agency believes a branch of Al-Qaeda is planning a wave of abductions of Westerners in North Africa, according to a local news report.

The Department of Investigation and Security, or DRS, has informed its neighbours in the Sahel region that Al-Qaeda Organization in the Islamic Maghreb has a plan to kidnap Westerners in the Sahel, according to a report in Algerian daily el-Khabar.

Sahel the countries bordering Saharan and sub-Saharan Africa: parts of the territory of Senegal, southern Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, southern Algeria, Niger, northern Nigeria, Chad, Sudan, northern Ethiopia and Eritrea.

Uncle Owen's place will just have to wait.

Haqqanis Practicing "Mass Beheadings" in Afghanistan/Pakistan

Your mujahideen & freedom fighters hard at work. Code Pink and Islamists in Pakistan set to take to the streets in 4 ... 3 ... 2 ..... :

Military intelligence officials say that the units essentially act as death squads and that one of them, a large group known as the Khurasan that operates primarily in Pakistan’s tribal areas, has been responsible for at least 250 assassinations and public executions.

Another group, whose name is not known, works mainly in Afghanistan and may be responsible for at least 20 killings in Khost Province over the summer alone, including a mass beheading that came to light only after a video was found in the possession of a captured insurgent. The video shows 10 headless bodies evenly spaced along a paved road, while their heads sit nearby in a semicircle, their faces clearly visible....

the bodies of two men accused of helping the Americans turned up near the village where [a top Haqqani commander] was captured. Scalding iron rods had been shoved through their legs. One victim had been disemboweled, and both had been shot through the head and crushed by boulders.

Since the Haqqanis operate out of Pakistan, it's safe to assume that some of those troops "accidentally" killed by our soldiers aren't such innocent victims.

Al Qaeda Linked Group Claims Israel Rocket Attack

Guess what? There's al Qaeda. In Lebanon:

A group linked to al-Qaeda on Tuesday claimed responsibility for an overnight rocket attack from southern Lebanon against Israel, a local website announced.

Elnashra website said it had received an email from the Brigades of Abdullah Azzam claiming responsibility for the attack.

“Early this Tuesday, rockets from the Brigades of Abdullah Azzam shelled the Zionist colonies in northern Palestine... and reached their aim,” the email message reads.

The same group claimed responsibility for the last rocket attack from southern Lebanon against Israel in 2009.

No one was injured, but a couple of buildings were damaged.

This is Hezbollah controlled territory. And when I say controlled I mean controlled. It's a virtual police state in Southern Lebanon, but with Hezbollah running the show and not the "government".

So, if an al Qaeda affiliate is firing rockets from Hezbollah's territory then the safe bet would be on them tacitly approving the attack.

And the Iranian backed shias of Hezbollah do not normally get along with the Salaafi Sunnis of al Qaeda. But we know Iran has worked with al Qaeda when their interests align. So I think what we are seeing here might be Iran ramping up the pressure on Israel in light of the string of recent "work related accidents" in the Islamic Republic. Having al Qaeda do your dirty work will leave more than a few New York Times reporters scratching their head because conventional wisdom is that Shias would never make strategic alliances with al Qaeda.

It gives Iran plausible deniability and allows them to attack Israel while being insulated from international criticism.

Basij Attack British Embassy in Tehran

Iranian protesters broke into the British embassy compound in Tehran, tearing down the flag and looting a portrait of The Queen.

British officials said they were urgently trying to establish whereabouts of staff and the scope of the threat unleashed by the breach.

Iranian hardliners had called for a demonstration against the embassy yesterday after the country adopted a law requiring the regime to throw out the British ambassador.

Reports from the scene said that security forces had failed to secure the site as dozens of students stormed the British Embassy, bringing down the union flag and throwing documents from windows.

The students clashed with anti-riot police and chanted “the Embassy of Britain should be taken over” and “death to England.”

There's a reason that the "security forces were unable to help". Because these are not "students" or anything like what the MSM will tell you. These are the Basij, which is an arm of the Mullahs and Revolutionary Guard. In short this is an act of war by the Ayatollahs that the Iranian "goverment" will obfuscate.

There have been unconfirmed reports of hostages. We pray not and that all the Brits get out safely. More here at WaPo.

Update: Related and not good..

"It should be believed that the generalization of the Basij model and formation and organization of the Muslim world Basijis can empower the Muslim world to conquer the world," Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei's top military advisor Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said.
More here including video at the NYT's blog which also describes the Basij as "students". Note that Iranian security allowed the students to breach the compound. Its almost as if they planned the whole thing huh?

SOMALIA'S al-Qaeda-linked Islamists have banned 16 Western aid agencies from the centre of the country, claiming they were ''fostering secularism'' and ''amplifying the refugee crisis''.

The banned agencies included UNICEF, the World Health Organisation, the UN refugee agency UNHCR, Norwegian Church Aid, the Danish Refugee Council Concern and others from Sweden, Italy, Germany and France.

Anders Behring Breivik Bat Sh*t Crazy

OSLO, Norway (AP) — Confessed mass killer Anders Behring Breivik was insane when he killed 77 people in a bomb and shooting rampage in Norway, and should be sent to a psychiatric ward instead of prison, prosecutors said Tuesday.

A psychiatric evaluation ordered by an Oslo court found that Breivik was "psychotic" during the July 22 attacks — the country's worst peacetime massacre — which means he's not mentally fit to be sentenced to prison, prosecutors told reporters.

The conclusions, which will be reviewed by a panel of forensic psychiatrists, contrasted with comments made by the head of that board after the attacks. Dr. Tarjei Rygnestad at the time told who told The Associated Press that it was unlikely that Breivik would be declared legally insane because the attacks were so carefully planned and executed.

"The conclusions of the forensic experts is that Anders Behring Breivik was insane," prosecutor Svein Holden said, adding Breivik was in a state of psychosis during the attacks.

Personally I disagree, he's a psychopath with delusions of grandeur but he knew what he was doing.

No Islamists in Mexico

(Mexico City, Mexico) Mexican Foreign Secretary Patricia Espionosa has denied claims made during the Republican presidential debate that Islamists are operating in Mexico.

“We were very surprised when assertions were made during the debate without providing any kind of element of respect,” the foreign secretary said, referring to allegations that members of the radical Islamic groups Hamas and Hezbollah were using Mexico to enter the United States.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, a leading contender for the GOP nomination, said during Tuesday night’s debate on foreign policy that Hezbollah was operating in Mexico and other Latin American countries.

Espinoza urged the candidates to watch what they are saying about "delicate issues."

So, who's correct? Readers can decide.

Hacking Scams for Fun and Terrorism

I"m just glad these guys got caught. It makes you wonder how many other tech heavy scams are financing terrorism?

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation and police in the Philippines have jointly busted a ring of four alleged hackers in Manila with connections to a terrorist group in Saudi Arabia, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group of the Philippines police said last week.

FBI agents, who have been investigating the hacking of telecommunication companies in the U.S. and in the country since 1999, have uncovered a "paper trail" of various bank transactions allegedly linking the local hackers to the cell in Saudi Arabia, whose activities include financing terrorist activities, CIDG said in a statement....

Muhammad Zamir, a Jemaah Islamiyah member, paid the suspects to hack the trunk-line of different telecommunication companies including AT&T. Revenue derived from the hacking was diverted to the account of the terrorists, who paid the Filipino hackers a commission through local banks, CIDG said.

Arabic Wikipedia Pretty Much What You'd Expect

Scott emailed me a few links to the Arabic version of Wikipedia. And, yeah, it's about what you'd expect.

For instance, the 9/11 page is full of trutherism:

And a few pictures continue to show that there is explosive material ejected from the towers and cement crushed and pieces of steel columns was cast in the early stages of collapse. Images of the south tower showed clear links to the bombings and exit of lava on the building and under the place of the breaking point just as if the bomb like explosions of volcanoes. The ballistics of the multitude, which shows that this explosion was inside the building.
It goes on and on like that for four paragraphs.

The point? Let's just say I'm not so optimistic about Arab "democracy".

Huge Explosion at Iranian Nuke Processing Plant
Second Explosion at Missile Site

Reports from Iran are that yet another "accident" may have occurred at a site involved in the Islamic Republic's nuclear ambitions. Early reports from Iran claimed that there was a massive explosion in the city of Isfahar, where uranium for the country's "peaceful nuclear plants" is processed. But later, those reports were yanked from Iranian news sites and the mullahs are in deny-it-ever-happened mode.

Less than two weeks after a mysterious explosion destroyed an Iranian missile base near Tehran, the Islamic Republic's official news agency Fars reported Tuesday that a loud blast was heard in the city of Isfahan at 2:40 pm local time, but later removed the report.

According to the initial report, search and rescue teams called to the scene confirmed the blast, but reported no injuries....

In a curious turn of events, shortly after the initial report was published, the item was removed from the news agency's website, which is affiliated with the country's Revolutionary Guard.

Two weeks ago another explosion at an Iranian military base killed 17.

Above photo and hat tip courtesy Muqata who says that Israeli news sources indicate a second explosion at an Iranian missile base today.

Woman Fired for Complaining About Muslim Religious Persecution at Heathrow

A Christian worker has launched a landmark legal action after she lost her job when she blew the whistle on what she says was a campaign of "race hate" by fundmentalist Muslims.

Nohad Halawi, who worked at Heathrow Airport, is suing her former employers for unfair dismissal, claiming that she and other Christian staff at the airport were victims of systematic harassment because of their religion.

She claims that she was told that she would go to Hell for her religion, that Jews were responsible for the September 11th terror attacks, and that a friend was reduced to tears having been bullied for wearing a cross.

I think I can explain this.

See, Muslims are allowed to practice religious discrimination and persecution against other groups because its fundamental to Islam to do so. Its part of their religion to persecute others, so if you refuse them that right you are a discriminating against Islam?

See how this works?

Also of note is that radical fundamentalist Muslims are protecting our airlines from attack by .... radical fundamentalist Muslims.

Also, I'd be remiss not to mention that Christians are not allowed to preach the Gospel to Muslims in Muslim nations. But we allow them to preach at Heathrow?

A much smarter policy would be one of reciprocity, allow Christians and others to preach the Gospel in Dar al-Islam and we'll return that favor and allow you to preach your backward, barbaric, Prince of Lies BS in the west.

Sounds fair to me but I'm sure the Islamists would say that its against Islam to allow religious freedom to non Muslims.

1%er Who Supports 99%ers Exploits 99%ers To Become More Of A 1%er By Ripping Off Earthquake Victims Who Are, Presumably, 99%ers

But since Wyclef Jean has expressed support for the #Occupy movement, don't expect the "99%" to challenge Jean's very questionable method of becoming even richer, a method even more unethical than a bank asking that loans be paid back...

In the months following the devastating earthquake in Haiti, a charity run by hip-hop star Wyclef Jean spent a pittance of the money it took in on disaster relief and doled out millions in questionable contracts.

Yele Haiti’s coffers swelled to $16 million in 2010, the most the charity had ever received. But less than a third of that went to emergency efforts, and $1 million was paid to a Florida firm that doesn’t seem to exist, The Post has learned.

The #Occupy movement seems to view some 1%ers as allies while demonizing others. It boils down to support. 1%ers who support the #Occupy movement are really a part of the 99% who have been reluctantly imposed with wealth. But instead of surrendering that wealth and living like the 99%, these 1%ers would rather suffer in their protected mansions.

A capitalistic corporation that becomes wealthy by providing a product consumers demand and voluntarily purchase is somehow more evil than individuals who become wealthy by exploiting the victims of natural (or even "man-caused") disasters. The #Occupiers don't have the intellect (or maybe they just don't have the integrity) to see this absurd hypocritical standard.

Zombies Spotted In Pennsylvania Shopping Mall

And so it begins.

Lower Allen Township Police said they arrested a “zombie shopper” at the Capital City Mall for trespassing Friday morning. [...]

[The Zombies] walked and groaned through the mall, often transfixed on shiny items in store-front windows.

Mall security called police only about 30 minutes after the zombies arrived.

No doubt, they are starving after hanging out with #Occupy protesters all week. Expect a full fledged Zombie Apocalypse beginning on Friday.

You guys know what needs to be done. Please be sure to check my Zombie charts.
I know that, even to the expert eye, it can be difficult to distinguish between Zombies and #Occupiers. A quick rule of thumb - if it tweets, it probably isn't a real Zombie. It is a well known fact that Zombies can't tweet. Something to do with the teeny, tiny keypads on mobile phones.

Just take care. We don't want any living creatures, however brain dead they may be, accidentally mistaken for a Zombie.

UC Davis Protester: "We Had Encircled The Campus Police; They Were Trying To Leave."

"The whole world is watching! The whole world is watching!"

Okay, maybe the media isn't. And the left isn't. We get soundbites and snippets in the media and the left runs with them without any background facts. What the media didn't report - and what the left didn't want you to know - is that the students organized the pepper spray incident. It was their choice.

Not only was it their choice, they deliberately FORCED the police to respond. In this video, a UC Davis student lets it slip. She describes being pepper sprayed by the police, but not before revealing that the students had surrounded the campus police and refused to allow them to leave, as they were trying to do.

Transcript of video is below the fold. Video and transcript courtesy of NewsBusters.

(Emphasis mine)

AMY GOODMAN, DEMOCRACY NOW!: To talk more about what happened at UC Davis, we go to Sacramento, California, to talk to Elli Pearson, one of the students pepper-sprayed Friday. She’s a sophomore at UC Davis studying sustainable agriculture and food systems.

We’re also joined from Berkeley by Nathan Brown, assistant professor of English at UC Davis. He wrote an open letter calling for the resignation of UC Davis Chancellor Linda Katehi following the pepper-spraying incident Friday.

Before we turn to our guests, let me just play a short clip, which shows Elli Pearson being pepper-sprayed.

PROTESTERS: Don’t shoot students! Don’t shoot students! Don’t shoot students! Don’t shoot students!

The whole world is watching! The whole world is watching! The whole world is watching! The whole world is watching! The whole world is watching! The whole world is watching!

Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you!

AMY GOODMAN: I want to turn to Elli Pearson. Elli, describe exactly what happened on Friday.

ELLI PEARSON: Well, we were protesting together, and the riot cops came at us, and we linked arms and sat down peacefully to protest their presence on our campus. And at one point, they were—we had encircled them, and they were trying to leave, and they were trying to clear a path. And so, we sat down, linked arms, and said that if they wanted to clear the path, they would have to go through us. But we were on the ground, you know, heads down. And all I could see was people telling me to cover my head, protect myself, and put my head down. And the next thing I know, I was pepper-sprayed.

AMY GOODMAN: You were in the white jacket?

AMY GOODMAN: And what did the pepper-spraying feel like?

ELLI PEARSON: Well, I couldn’t see anything. And so, if I—you know, I felt like pepper spray go over my body, and then I started choking on the fumes. And I lifted my head at one point, and one of the protesters had come to kind of protect our huddle of people, and he just told me to keep my head down. And then, from that point on, all I could hear was screaming around me and people being jostled.

Preaching To the Choir on Terrorist Websites

Daily Caller:

How is it that the U.S. Department of Defense can target individuals within al Qaida but can’t shut down their websites? Al Qaida, the Taliban, Ba’athist insurgents, Iranian-supported Hezbollah and many other terrorist groups have developed websites and online magazines designed to recruit, train, and inspire violence against U.S. servicemen or innocents in the West. The latest al Qaida online magazine, “Inspire,” directed by the late Anwar al-Awlaki and Samir Khan, includes a plea for any jihadist wannabe to make triacetone triperoxide (TATP) — a powerful explosive — as well as a color, fold-out recipe with mixing instructions and a list of places to buy the over-the-counter ingredients. Previous editions have called for the killing of specific Americans, asked readers to mow down Americans in shopping malls with trucks that have swords affixed to their front grills, and explained how to use an AK-47. One edition included the now infamous article “How to build a bomb in the kitchen of your mom,” which may have inspired New Yorker bomb suspect Jose Pimentel.

If Americans assume the U.S. government shuts down these websites and magazines or at least confronts the Internet service providers (ISPs) that host them, either inside the United States or worldwide, they would be very wrong. Al Qaida’s defeat may be within reach, but without contesting its online activities, al Qaida and its partner terrorist groups will likely survive and these pleas for local jihad may result in periodic random violence within the United States.

Read the rest including a list of prominent terrorist websites here at the Daily Caller.

Heavenly Light Shines On Soldier's Dog

There are many things that makes one question the existence of a Higher Power. Many injustices that makes one doubt, many miracles that makes one believe.

But sometimes, it isn't an injustice or a miracle that gives one pause, but a simple yet seemingly impossible image. The picture below was taken only moments after reporter interviewed the parents of Justin Rollin.

Rollin was killed in Iraq. The night before he died, he and his fellow soldiers adopted several puppies and his family fought to have one of those puppies - one that Justin himself held - brought home.

The dog in the picture is that puppy, now grown.

Reporter Kimberly Launier writes:

It was an overcast day in Newport, N.H., when a simple “20/20″ shoot turned into something that made me wonder about life after death.

I was filming soldier Justin Rollin’s parents Skip and Rhonda playing with their dog Hero, whose rescue from the Iraq War zone where Justin died was nothing short of a miracle.

Sometimes when Rhonda hugged Hero she would softly pet her face and coo, “Justin, are you in there?” It was Rhonda’s gentle way of remembering their son and his last living connection to Hero. At one point, Hero wandered off and took a stroll in the backyard. All of a sudden, the clouds broke and a light began to solidify in a beam directly down on Hero — a kind of vertical halo.

As this dramatic ray of light was shining on Hero she turned to look at me, and it was all I could do to hold the camera steady and not drop it in astonishment. It was an unforgettable moment, and made me wonder if in fact Justin was in there. Then the light vanished.

I couldn’t wait to check my camera’s playback to see if it caught the stunning beam. When I saw that it did, I was so happy that I burst out dancing. It was a great moment to share with Justin’s parents. We all laughed together, and wondered if perhaps this had been a sign from Justin.

You can watch the full story on "20/20" Friday at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.

#Occupy Supporter Charged With Death Threats

Once again, the #Occupy movement proves they are nothing like the Tea Party:

When 26-year-old Nathan Shafer heard about the arrests of 19 Occupy Columbia members outside the State House last Wednesday, he did what lots of people do when they get angry -- he vented about it on the Internet. He saw Gov. Haley's Facebook post about the arrests and Haley's comment that she "appreciate[s] freedom of speech," and that's when authorities say Shafer crossed the line.

"I hope someone murders you before I do," Shafer said he commented on the post. "How's that for freedom of speech?"

From WND via Gateway Pundit:

Mohammad Malik currently is as an activist with several other Islamic groups.

He has led hate-filled anti-Israel protests in which participants were filmed wearing Hamas paraphernalia while chanting "Nuke Israel" and "Go back to the oven" – a reference to Jews being killed in the Holocaust.

Malik has been widely quoted in the Florida news media in recent weeks speaking for Occupy Miami.

The Miami Herald identified Malik as one of the organizers of Occupy's Miami's downtown campsite headquarters.

Obama supports these protesters.

Pelosi blesses them.

@AlecBaldwin thinks its "good" and "healthy".

Terror in the Heartland:Wild Turkey Crashes Into Eat'n Park On Thanksgiving

As God is my witness I thought turkeys could fly...

PENN HILLS, Pa. -- A wild turkey apparently flew into an Eat'n Park restaurant on -- of all days -- Thanksgiving.

The 15-pound turkey was found among a pile of shattered glass on the carpet near some booth tables around 3 p.m.

Nobody was inside the restaurant on Frankstown Road, which was closed for the holiday.

The quote in my opening was from the greatest sitcom episode EVER!

I'm Thankful

I'm thankful for a country that allows me to worship God the way I see fit.

I'm thankful to our soldiers for protecting that freedom.

I'm thankful for family.

I'm thankful for my kids still wanting to go deer hunting even though we never seem to see any deer.

I'm thankful that Stable Hand seems to be beating her illness.

I'm thankful for this iPhone which allows me to blog from this deer stand in lieu of actually seeing any deer.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

#OccupyViolence: Weapons Cache Found In Zuccotti Park

Gardeners employed by the park owners, Brookfield Properties, to clean up the mess made by occupiers during their two-month stay discovered various knives, including a large kitchen knife and other potential instruments of violence in flower beds throughout the public space, according to officials.

A court motion related to the clearing of the park filed by Deputy Mayor Cas Halloway last week noted that, “Makeshift items that can be used as weapons, such as cardboard tubes with metal pipes inside, had been observed among the occupiers’ possessions.” (Source)

Meet The New Boss

... same as the old boss.

Thousands of people, including women and children, are being illegally detained by rebel militias in Libya, according to a report by the Secretary-General of the United Nations. Many of the prisoners are suffering torture and systematic mistreatment while being held in private jails outside the control of the country's new government.

The document, seen by The Independent, states that while political prisoners being held by the Gaddafi regime have been released, their places have been taken by up to 7,000 new “enemies of the state”, "disappeared" in a dysfunctional system, with no recourse to the law.

And we're about to do the same for Syria. I've no sympathy for Assad, but if we don't enlist the help of Jordan, Turkey and Iraq to insure a lawful and organized transition it too will be run by al-Qaeda supporting militia.

You might recall that Syria was a major staging area for AQI and other Iraqi insurgent groups. So I felt a bit of satisfaction that they had returned to haunt Syria. But we can't allow yet another state to fall into anarchy and rule by Taliban like elements. Organized trained troops with a clear chain of command and control are required if we are to intervene in yet another Middle East cluster f*ck.

Notice the al Qaeda flags flying at a rally led by Tawfiq Al-Afni at Tahrir Square in Cairo? The screencap above is from 55 seconds in. But then it goes downhill from there.

Downhill from supporting Osama bin Laden you say? Why yes. Something about praying for Allah to turn their skulls into a ladder for his glory linked with a message to the infidel Americans and Jews about the army of Muhammad is slightly more disconcerting.

Bachmann on Pakistan: We're All So Boned!

Michelle Bachman is on the House Intelligence Committee, so this might be a) something she really ought to have kept her trap shut on; b) if actual classified information and not something she just misspoke about, then it tells us that we are seriously, unequivocally, boned:

During the CNN debate, Bachmann said that 15 Pakistani nuclear sites were vulnerable to jihadist attacks, and that six of the sites had previously come under some form of Islamist attack.
Hoooray, Pakistan!

If true, it also tells us that Bachmann really is not yet ready for prime time. Do we really want the President of the United States to be doing Julian Assange's work for him?

Lieberman Takes on Google For Supporting Terrorists

I hope whoever the next President is will consider reaching across the aisle in the name of bipartisanship and ask Sen. Lieberman to head Homeland Security:

In a letter Tuesday to Google Chief Executive Officer Larry Page, Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., expressed concern that Pimentel was able to "share his support for violent Islamist extremism" and spread his "hate-filled writings" through the a website hosted by Google.

"As demonstrated by this recent case, Google's webhosting site Blogger is being used by violent Islamist extremists to broadcast terrorist content," Lieberman told Page in the letter, obtained by Fox News. "Pimentel's site is just one of the many examples of homegrown terrorists using Google-hosted sites to propagate their violent ideology."

"If we didn’t know he was your son, we would say he was a member of Al Qaeda"

Even as many of Tarek Mehanna's friends in Boston continue to be in denial about the level of his involvement with al Qaeda's online efforts, testimony at his trial yesterday indicates that those who knew him the best were worried that he left the reservation. But not to worry, Mehanna was from a "good family". No one ever goes astray in a "good family", right?

His father also told Mehanna to refrain from visiting questionable Islamic websites and to pack up certain books because, “apparently, they fuel my ideas,’’ Mehanna told the friend, Daniel Spaulding.

This came after a board member at the Islamic Center of New England in Sharon told Mehanna’s father, Ahmed, that, “If we didn’t know he was your son, we would say he was a member of Al Qaeda,’’ according to the testimony of Spaulding.

Despite was his friends think they know about him, Mehanna was very active in promoting al Qaeda online. Perhaps Mehanna thought he could legally get away with this, but in a time when American men and women are dying fighting the group is it too far of a stretch to say promoting al Qaeda is not free speech but is in fact sedition?

Once inside the arms cache it was detonated, causing a massive explosion.

How Much More Will Americans Take?

The #Occupy movement is planning to disrupt Black Friday shoppers this weekend. They have decided you don't have the right to shop in places they deem to be the 'enemy,' so, against your will and in your best interest, they will dictate where you can shop and where you can't (emphasis mine):

Some demonstrators are planning to occupy retailers on Black Friday to protest "the business that are in the pockets of Wall Street."

Organizers are encouraging consumers to either occupy or boycott retailers that are publicly traded, according to the Stop Black Friday website.

This isn't "encouraging" in the traditional sense of the word. This is "encouraging" in the Alinsky sense - do as they tell you to do or face the consequences. Your rights be damned.

Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan Bombs Girls' School Again

Religion of not teaching girls to read.

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AFP) — A bomb attack on a girls’ school in northwest Pakistan on Tuesday killed a policeman, wounded eight others and destroyed a wall, police said.

The remote-controlled bomb was planted at the outer wall of the government-run middle school in the outskirts of Mardan town in troubled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which borders Afghanistan.

The bomb exploded after police arrived to investigate complaints about a suspicious plastic bag outside the school, which was closed at the time.

“One policeman was killed and eight other people including five civilians were wounded,” Zeshan Haider, Mardan police chief, told AFP by telephone.

Occupy Seattle Unhealthy and Unsafe

(Seattle, Washington) An official inspection of the Occupy Seattle encampment at Seattle Central Community College has found unsafe and unhealthy conditions.

College officials are pursuing emergency action to evict.

A draft of an emergency rule prepared for the state says the college needs to take action because of unsafe conditions at the encampment, including syringes and needles on the ground, drug and alcohol use, lack of hygiene facilities and other risk factors near the college child-care center.

"This overcrowded and unsanitary camp requires these emergency rules to protect the public health, safety and general welfare of the college community and the inhabitants of Occupy Seattle," says the draft.

An Occupy Seattle spokesman said many of the college's allegations were unfounded. He said the Capitol Hill neighborhood where the college is located is known for drug use and transients and that college day-care workers routinely checked the children's play area for needles and syringes even before the political activists moved in.

In summary, the Occupy Seattle spokesman, who declined to reveal his name, said we are not responsible, the place was drug-infested and filthy when we arrived. Heh.

This is Sharia

Allowing countries where we've spilled so much blood to have Sharia enshrined in their constitution is the most retarded thing the United States has ever done.

The ordeal of Gulnaz did not simply begin and end with the physical attack of her rape. The rape began a years-long nightmare of further pain, culminating in an awful choice she must now make.

...After the attack, she hid what happened as long as she could. But soon she began vomiting in the mornings and showing signs of pregnancy. It was her attacker's child.

In Afghanistan, this brought her not sympathy, but prosecution. Aged just 19, she was found guilty by the courts of sex outside of marriage -- adultery -- and sentenced to twelve years in jail.

The only way around the dishonor of rape, or adultery in the eyes of Afghans, is to marry her attacker. This will, in the eyes of some, give her child a family and restore her honor.

Naser Abdo: I Planned to Execute my Commanding Officer at Ft. Campbell, Too

"Conscientious objector" and poster boy of the anti-war left and Muslims claiming the military is rife with "Islamophobia", Naser Abdo, admits in this recorded conversation that he planned to carry out attacks at Fort Hood like his hero Nidal Hasan. But he also planned to attack at Fort Campbell.

You'll notice that he laughs when asked if he planned the attacks and then goes on to detail how he planned to kidnap one of his commanding officers who had been to Afghanistan, and then video tape his execution. Apparently Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was also one of his inspirations.

Another revelation is that he had attempted to recruit two other to join him for jihad. It makes you wonder who were the other men he attempted to recruit, did he know them from online connections, and did they report this to law enforcement?

What's been bugging me is that although we have at least three domestic terrorist cases being argued in court this week and another half a dozen or more awaiting trial, that I've seen none of this make anything like headline news in the national media. Meanwhile over at CNN this morning they devoted 5 minutes to a kid who was killed for being gay. A tragedy, yes, but that happens once every, what, five or ten years?

I'd say that being an Islamist terrorist is no longer news worthy as it has become such a common occurrence, but I suspect that the MSM doesn't push these stories to the front because they fear that you cretins are such Islamophobes that you'd lynch the closest Muslim. Which has happened, what, zero times since 9/11?

Buh-Bye CAIR: Congress Formalizes Ban on FBI Dealing with CAIR

Sometimes little nuggets like this get stuck into legislation without any one noticing. So obscure, in fact, that President Obama signed the bill:

The conferees support the FBI’s policy prohibiting any formal non-investigative cooperation with unindicted co-conspirators in terrorism cases. The conferees expect the FBI to insist on full compliance with this policy by FBI field offices and to report to the Committees on Appropriations regarding any violation of the policy.
But it's not just CAIR that the FBI is no longer going to be dealing with, it's also the ISNA and NAIT.

Would be New York Bomber Radicalized Online

Steve Emerson notes that Jose Pimental was radicalized entirely online. Pay special attention to the Samir Khan and Revolution Muslim link. Jihadi Princess, his collaborator, is still on the loose but is well known in radical online circles:

The website also indicates that [Pimental] may have been radicalized almost entirely online. Many terrorism suspects, from the New York subway plotter Faisal Shahzad to the 9/11 hijackers, require the guidance or leadership of senior terrorists at some point in their decision to plot attacks. This is especially true for terror plots influenced by Awlaki, where the plotters were either in contact with him by email, such as Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan, or interacted with him on his blog, like Jihad Jane.

Pimentel, on the other hand, appears to have drawn inspiration from the online content produced by Awlaki and other al-Qaida ideologues, and acted out his ambitions according to the blueprints found in the English-language Inspire magazine. Although he posted on the websites of other New York-based extremist groups like Revolution Muslim and the Islamic Thinkers Society, nothing in his own writing indicates he was a disciple of those groups.
Emerson goes on to note that nothing in Pimental's writings indicated that he was mentally unstable. Emerson sees his writings as a well reasoned blending of conservative Sunni Islam and more recent Salaafi doctrines.

Jim Hoft Hits The Nail On The Head

Jim wrote:

It should be clear that Obama has now settled on his campaign strategy – to divide the nation among economic lines. He has no intention of repairing the damage he’s wrought on America. He’s just hoping, in typical Alinsky fashion, that if he gets Americans frustrated enough they will support him in his reelection.

That's exactly Obama's plan. He is making no effort at all to save the economy. In fact, he seems to be deliberately heading in the opposite direction.

But it isn't just the Obama Administration and the Democratic Party that has me frustrated. It is also the stagnate Republican Party and GOP Presidential candidates who insist on political correctness.

Enough is enough. We still have a year to go before the next election and I'm certain the majority will vote to get the current Administration out of office. My concern is that the replacement will be far from worthy. As in the past five Presidential elections, it appears I will again be forced to vote for the lesser of two evils, rather than for a qualified, deserving candidate.

#OccupyLA Gets Perks

It looks like lawlessness pays off after all.

Just last week, several #OccupyLA protesters were arrested, from masturbating in front of children to violent assaults with deadly weapons. So, how does L.A. county bribe reward them?

By giving them free public land and office space:

Los Angeles officials have offered Occupy L.A. protesters a package of incentives that includes downtown office space and farmland in an attempt to persuade them to abandon their camp outside of City Hall, according to several demonstrators who have been in negotiations with the city. [...]

Lafferty said city officials have offered protesters a $1-a-year lease on a 10,000-square-foot office space near City Hall. He said officials also promised land elsewhere for protesters who wish to farm, as well as additional housing for the contingent of homeless people who joined the camp.

Well, not totally free. It'll cost the #Occupiers one dollar, which may be a little rich for them. But just curious, does L.A. plan to offer a similar deal to the Tea Party? Of course not.

Google Helped Would-be Terrorist

Here's some more info on Jose Pimental, who was charged over the weekend with attempting to construct bombs to be uses in acts of terror, that I thought might be useful to pass along.

NY Post article by Intelwire's JM Berger:

But reading Inspire was the least of Pimentel's online activities. He maintained a massive website on Blogger and a YouTube channel featuring hundreds of radical works.

The website connects to Pimentel's YouTube channel, which was similarly thorough, collecting more than 600 videos relating to radical and violent interpretations of Islam including 60 he uploaded himself. As of this writing, his channel had more than 1,500 subscribers.

Both Blogger and YouTube are owned by Google. And Pimentel's site is just the tip of a very large iceberg of terrorist content hosted by Google.

There's much much more about the radicals using Google owned platforms to distribute their propaganda online, so read it all. I'd say more, but after nearly seven years of making the same point I really don't have much to add.

NY Jihadi Jose Pimentel, aka Mujahidfisabillilah, Busted

We've been waiting a very long time for this. We have so much on this dude that I'm not sure where to start except to note that we've been following Jose Pimentel for some time and he's one of those hip-hop wannabe type Jihadis.

That, and it took me oh about 15 seconds tracked the bastage down when we first really started looking hard at him back in July.

True Islam_mujahidfisabillilah1 blogspot.jpg

News is starting to leak about the arrest this weekend of a New York City man who planned to bomb police and military facilities. The NY Post reports:
The NYPD and Manhattan DA’s office have arrested a terror suspect who was planning to bomb city police facilities and US military sites, where he plotted to target returning war personnel and the families who gathered to welcome them home, The Post has learned.

The suspect, who lives in Manhattan, was arrested after he actually purchased bomb-making materials, sources said. He’d been on the authorities’ radar for about a year, the sources said.

It wasn’t immediately clear exactly where he planned to attack.

We can report here exclusively at PJM that the man arrested is Jose Pimentel of Harlem. On his Facebook page he describes himself as:

I am a Muslim convert from the Dominican Republic looking for other muslims living in the US specially in New York City to share a brotherhood with and to help each other stay firm on the religion. Also looking for anyone that wishes to learn more about Islam and other religions.

Here is a .pdf of the complaint against Jose Pimentel.

Jose was a prolific terrorist blogger and familiar face around the Revolution Muslim and Islam Policy websites. He shares a blog called who's donations tracked back to Islam4UK and Islampolicy members.

His Youtube channel is here

Here are just a few of his websites.

Oh and Jose, watch the cornhole Akhi!

Update: Reading CNN's description of this guy as a Lone Wolf is laughable. This person is a widely known highly networked individual who was a very active al-Qaeda propagandist in the online Jihadi community.

UpdateII: A note the our friend Jihadi Princess: You can wipe the websites clean all you want. Its too late.

Below the fold, the Portland Police Bureau statement about the incident.

This information is in regard to a specific confrontation that occurred during the 12-hour N17 protest that occurred on Thursday, November 17, 2011. Around 4:30 p.m., Portland Police Officers were attempting to remove people from Southwest Yamhill Street so that vehicular traffic and light-rail traffic could resume. Many people were in the street in what was a very dangerous situation.

At the same time, officers were also preventing any additional people from entering the Chase Bank, located on the corner of 6th and Yamhill. Police were inside the bank arresting individuals who had entered the bank to protest.

Police made repeated loud-hail commands and officers on the ground reiterated those commands for people to clear the street and leave the area. A confrontation occurred between a group of protestors who would not disperse. Projectiles were thrown at police and an unidentified man struck a police horse.

During this confrontation, police deployed pepper spray on 20-year-old Elizabeth Evon Nichols. Nichols had been told by police repeatedly to disperse. Immediately following the pepper spray, officers applied water to Nichols' face. She was then arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Interfering with a Police Officer.

Nichols was also arrested by the Federal Protective Service (FPS) previously on Sunday November 13, after police removed her from a cement block in which she was chained during the clearing of Terry Schrunk Plaza.

The Police Bureau is releasing a police video that contains this incident in an effort to remain transparent to the community. The Bureau is also releasing a video of the horse being struck. Anyone with information about the identity of the person involved in this incident should call Central Precinct at (503) 823-0097.

Milwaukee Police Chief Refuses To "Martyr" #Occupy Protesters

Protesters expected mass arrests to further their political agenda, but Milwaukee Police Chief refused to comply:

At the scene Thursday night, Flynn told reporters that officers wouldn't help protesters fulfill their "martyrdom fantasies" and they could stay "and freeze their butts off."

The bridge "cleared itself," as protesters left about 40 minutes after his announcement that there would be no mass arrest, Flynn recalled Friday.

Maybe that's how we get rid of these attention whore - by ignoring them. Tough to do, however, when they insist on attacking the defenseless.

Second South Park Threatener Back in US to Face Trial

Jesse "Younes Abdullah Muhammad" Morton with friend and convicted terrorist Zachary "Abu Talhah al-Amriki" Chesser in front of the White House

Jesse "Younes Abdullah Muhammad" Morton is back in the US after being extradited from Morocco. Morton is charged with threatening South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Morton's accomplice, Zachary Chesser, has already plead guilty to a related charge over the South Park incident and is now serving time for that and for other charges relating to his plans to join al Qaeda linked insurgents in Somalia.

Documents obtained exclusively by J.M. Berger of Intelwire reveal that Morton has been back in the U.S. since either later October or early November. A court appearance of Nov. 3rd in Virginia shows Morton awaiting the appointment of counsel and being remanded to custody as a flight risk and danger to the community.

The documents also reveal that Morton was the subject of a FISA warrant, meaning that the investigation was terror related.

Berger is the author of Jihad Joe:Americans Who Go to War in the Name of Islam which documents the widespread phenomenon of violent homegrown Islamist extremists.

"Younes Abdullah Muhammad" was a co-founder of the Revolution Muslim and Islam Policy websites. The site posted extremist materials on support of groups like al Qaeda and the Taliban. The website was frequented by many American extremists, including Samir Khan who was killed by the side of Anwar al-Awlaki, the former spiritual leader of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

Antonio Martinez — aka Muhammad Hussein, the man who failed to blow up a military recruiting station in Maryland -- was an online fan of Muhammad's Revolution Muslim website. Evidence introduced at his trial suggests that Martinez was inspired to attack the US soil by Muhammad's writings.

The website and Morton have been linked to dozens of other extremists, including convicted terrorists such as Carlos Almonte -- who famously held up a sign reading "Death to Juice. Unknown to many, Morton was standing next to Almonte and just off camera when the photo was taken.

Recently, a British author on the website, Bilal Zaheer Ahmad, was sentenced to 12 years for encouraging readers to kill Members of Parliament who had voted for the Iraq War.

After Zachary Chesser was arrested on his way to join al Shabaab, "Muhammad" fled the country for Morocco where he was later arrested.

In a letter written from his Moroccon jail, Morton recently argued that his threats against the South Park creators were free speech and that his comments were not meant to be threatening but as a warning. He also argued that the indictment against his was part of a Zionist plot -- odd, given that Morton was born a Jew.

PS- Given the FISA notice, I'm guessing that a superseding indictment with more serious follow up charges will be forthcoming in the next few weeks.

Imperial Good News: US Kills Two Muslim Jihadists From UK in Pakistan

Long War Journal:

Two British Muslims were killed in a US Predator airstrike that took place in the Waziristan tribal areas about three months ago, according to their families. One of the men fled the country after being placed under a so-called "control order" that is designed to limit the movement of a terrorist suspect. The other man was hit with financial sanctions due to suspected ties with terrorists groups and was the brother of a senior al Qaeda leader was also killed by the US in Pakistan.

The two Brits were identified as Ibrahim Adam and Mohammed Azmir. They were said to have been killed sometime in August, according to AFP.

The men were allowed to leave the UK in the same manner that Samir Khan was allowed to leave the US only to find himself dead at the hands of Superdrone a short time later.

#Occupy Protester Stole Neighbor's Furniture For Protest Camp

Yeah, he couldn't use his furniture - the furniture he obtained despite the evil corporations' efforts to keep it from him. He had to use his neighbor's furniture which, I'm certain, he felt entitled to use since it was probably better than his.

From The Smoking Gun:

The 32-year-old “Occupy Pensacola” protester was arrested yesterday on felony burglary and larceny charges for allegedly robbing a neighbor’s home of furniture that he used at the protest group’s encampment outside City Hall. [...]

When questioned by a deputy, Scott stated, “Yes, I took the furniture. I was going to give it back, but haven’t had a chance to.” Scott, investigators noted, admitted entering English’s home through a rear window, taking the furniture, and using some of the purloined items “at the Occupy Pensacola Camp located at City Hall.”

He was going t return it, but really, with all the lice, ringworm, scabies, TB, and STDs at these #Occupy camps, would anyone in their right mind want it back?

#Occupy Poster Boy Assaulted Police

The newest poster boy of the #Occupy movement repeatedly assaulted police before being arrested. His injury was the result of his resisting arrest:

Mr. Watts climbed up on a wall inside Zuccotti Park and began throwing objects at officers outside the barricade along Liberty Street, starting with pieces of a plastic pen. He then threw a AAA battery, and motioned to officers that he was ready to fight. The officers ignored him.

Mr. Watts went up to the officers, grabbed the barrier between him and them and began pushing and kicking it, shoving it against the officers. Mr. Watts grabbed a deputy inspector’s hat and ran back into the park. The officers ran after him. He resisted arrest, kicking officers, and when he was brought down, he struck his head, causing bleeding. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital Center, where he was treated but not admitted.

It is also reported that Mr. Watts has been arrested multiple times since the #Occupy protests began back in September. Apparently, the slap on the wrist these protesters are receiving simply isn't getting the message through.

CENTCOM Countering Extremist Propaganda Online

This is an interesting turn for CENTCOM. Given the paranoid mindset of many in the Muslim world, though, I wonder just how effective these counter-propaganda efforts can be when those doing it are up front about their relationship to the U.S. military?

Say something pro-US on some of these websites and you'll be branded a "liar", a "traitor", a "Zionist", or a "spy". Do it in the name of the U.S. military and remove all doubt.

It seems to me a far better strategy would be to secretly employ these people to counter false Islamist propaganda. The real problem with this kind of secrecy is the reaction the left and the media to it. But I'm not sure the solution here is "transparency". No, I think the solution is making sure the secret is kept.

Here's a tidbit:

In recent months, Mr. Safavi and his teammates spotted posts that included doctored photographs of Osama bin Laden purporting to prove that Al Qaeda’s leader had not died in an American commando raid. They turned up blogs stating that the Pentagon was accelerating war plans for invading many Muslim nations, and others amplifying Taliban accusations that American troops rape with impunity across Afghanistan.

Mr. Safavi works as part of the Digital Engagement Team, established in 2008 by the military’s Central Command to “counter extremist ideology, promote cultural awareness and explain U.S. interests,” said Maj. David E. Nevers, the team’s chief officer, who must approve all responses before they are posted on foreign-language Web sites.

Interesting, and I really do wish the team well, I'm just not very hopeful that they'll be able to counter the message.

But there is some hope from other agencies and groups working on similar projects:

The government’s expanding efforts in computer-network warfare, offense and defense are among the most secret enterprises carried out by the military and intelligence community. To counter the adversary’s use of the Internet, American cyberwarriors have hacked into extremist chat rooms to sow confusion, or to inject poisonous code to take down militant Web sites. Sometimes, they choose not to act, but silently track the online movements of jihadists to learn their plans.
So, keep up the efforts online jihadis. You're really saving us a lot of work.

#OccupyWallStreet Protesters Terrorize Young Children Walking To School (Bumped - Video Added)

(Video from Ironic Surrealism)

Yep, just like the Tea Party...

Some grade school students were forced to walk a gauntlet of screaming “Occupy Wall Street” protesters just to get to school on Thursday.

It was a wild day in lower Manhattan for most everyone involved, including elementary school children who had to brave the mayhem just to get to class on the other side of Wall Street.

In the middle of thousands of protestors yelling and chanting — some kicking and screaming – CBS 2’s Emily Smith found little school kids trying to get to class. Nervous parents led them through the barriers on Wall Street. The NYPD helped funnel the children, anything to ease their fears while some protestors chanted “follow those kids!”

These protesters are the lowest of the low. How cowardly to attack children - some as young as 4 years old - over a political agenda.

Media Ignoring Sexual Assaults At #Occupy Protests

Statistics indicate 2 out of 3 rapes go unreported by the victims. So, using that statistic, we can safely assume that for every rape we hear about, two other rapes have occurred but the victim was too fearful or too humiliated to come forward.

But add into the mix a social system that actively discourages victims from reporting rapes and a media that refuses to acknowledge the fact that crime ever took place, you now have, not only a presumably higher statistic of unreported rapes, but also culpability. Just as it is a crime to harbor a felon, the leaders of the #Occupy movement and the media should be held accountable for harboring rapists and covering up the crimes they have committed.

In this video from Adam Sharp (via Gateway Pundit), St Louis PD Sgt Gary Wiegert discusses the assault and why it could have been prevented:

Owner Charged With Aggravated Arson in Cafe Explosion

Yeah people always try to burn stuff down with a bomb...... I mean, you know..... well not always, sometimes? maybe this time?

The owner of the restaurant damaged in a weekend explosion is to be arraigned today on two counts of aggravated arson.

Aiman Arabeiat, owner of the Jerusalem Restaurant, was the only one injured in the Sunday night blaze. He has been at University Hospital for treatment of his burns, but court records show he was charged Thursday.

The charges also noted Arabeiat, 45, created a “substantial risk of physical harm” to a woman who was in the building at the time of the blast. She was not in the restaurant but was in an apartment in the building, according to the fire investigator.

Arabeiat was not booked into the jail but was given a citation on the first-degree felony.

Norway Terror Suspect Admits Training in Iran

OSLO, Norway — The accused ringleader of a terror plot in Norway has rejected charges that he conspired with al-Qaida to attack a Danish newspaper, saying he was planning a solo raid against the Chinese Embassy in Oslo.

...Davud, who came to Norway in 1999 and became a citizen eight years later, said he traveled to Iran in January 2009 and had contact with al-Qaida there about receiving training. He said he rejected that option because he didn’t want to work under al-Qaida’s leadership, and instead sought explosives training from a “private group” that he refused to identify.

I'd take this guy's claims about the Chinese embassy and most of the rest as B.S. But his explanation about his "Iranian" trip means either A. al-Qaeda was actively operating from Iran or B. the unidentified group is the Basij, a wing of the Revolutionary Guard of Iran. You know those guys standing around Iran's nuclear plants as "human shields" claiming to be "students".

Shocking News! Demi to Divorce Ashton Kutcher

Demi Moore is ending her marriage to fellow actor Ashton Kutcher, she told The Associated Press Thursday.

Moore, 49, and Kutcher, 33, were wed in September 2005.
The couple's relationship became tabloid fodder in recent months as rumors swirled about Kutcher's alleged infidelity.

There a certain sweet irony in this in that Demi divorced Bruce Willis for the much younger Kutcher. What comes around......its called karma. Ran into a bit of that myself.

The only other thought I have is on Kutcher's recent twitter controversy and decision to hand his twitter feed over to a publicist.

That's why people followed Ashton's feed (myself not included), because it was real. That's what the internet is about. Great victories and the occasional public humiliation of yourself. Letting the trolls troll you into quitting just make yours another fake and contrived corporate feed as opposed to the authentic feed where you take risks.

You win some, you lose some. But what matters is that you get back up.

U.S. & Canadian Companies Illegally Doing Business with Hezbollah, Syrian Government (bumped)

It's a Canadian report, but keep reading as there is a US connection. Hosting Hezbollah definitely violates U.S. law. I'm not sure what Canadian law is, but I expect it's similar.

As for Syria, I'm not sure of the legal ramifications. However, it is certainly unethical to do business with the regime:

7 Syrian websites — including the Ministries of Culture, Transport and Social Affairs and Labour — are hosted on Canadian-based web servers through intermediary companies....

The UofT report also says a website for the official media arm of Lebanese political party Hezbollah, is hosted on Canadian and U.S. based servers and uses Canadian servers to stream its TV broadcast globally.

Canada currently classifies Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.

Reading through the report, though, it becomes clear that many of the Syrian government websites are hosted in the U.S.

Here's a screenshot of Syrian government sites hosted in the US.

The Hezbollah sites illegally hosted in the US are as follows:

Hezbollah's al Nour radio station:
Host IP: (The people hosting data for Hezbollah)
Location: Reston, VA

Hezbollah's al Nour radio's live stream:
OrgName: United Colocation Group, Inc.
Location: Tampa, FL

Hezbollah's al Manar TV station: hosted on two US servers.
Host IP #1:
OrgName: Infortech Corporation
Location: San Jose, CA

Host IP#2:
OrgName: SoftLayer
Location: Dallas, TX

Again, hosting these websites violates US law. Please take a few minutes to email the companies doing business with this terrorist organization, and please pass along this post to friends and friendly websites that might help in the effort.

Sexy Eyes Banned In Saudi Arabia

Women in Saudi Arabia who have “sexy eyes” will be forced to cover them up, a spokesperson representing the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice in the Gulf kingdom announced on Wednesday.

It’s not clear how they will determine if a woman’s eyes are “tempting,” but who cares? It's fun to use religion to legitimize the oppression of women. AMIRIGHT?

Egyptian Activist Posts Nude Portraits on Blog, Islamist Muslims Outraged

CAIRO—A woman activist who posted nude pictures of herself on her blog to protest limits on free expression has triggered an uproar in Egypt, drawing condemnations from conservatives and liberals alike.

Some liberals feared that the posting by 20-year-old university student Aliaa Magda Elmahdy would taint them in the eyes of deeply conservative Egyptians ahead of Nov. 28 parliamentary elections in which they are trying to compete with fundamentalist Islamic parties.

Nudity is strongly frowned upon in Egyptian society, even as an art form. Elmahdy's posting is almost unheard of in a country where most women in the Muslim majority wear the headscarf and even those who don't rarely wear clothes exposing the arms or legs in public.

Elmahdy wrote on her blog that the photographs -- which show her standing wearing only stockings -- are "screams against a society of violence, racism, sexism, sexual harassment and hypocrisy." The blog has received 1.5 million hits since she posted the photos earlier this week.

Aliaa Magda Elmahdy blog with the nudity is here (nsfw). Her blogger profile linking her other blogs is here.

Today's Zoman:

Marcher Hossam Victor says about 400 Christians marched through the Cairo neighborhood of Shubra Thursday to mark the end of 40 days of mourning after sectarian clashes that killed 27 people, most of them Christians.

During the march, attackers threw stones, bricks and broken glass on the marchers from a six-floor apartment building, Victor said. Clashes broke out and 10 people were injured, two of them seriously.

Victor said the attackers were supporters of an ultraconservative Islamist candidate in Egypt's parliamentary elections, set to begin Nov. 28.

The best part
Once the shooting starts, the Taliban know they probably have only a few minutes before the Apache helicopters and Air Force jet fighters arrive overhead and unleash Hell. “When fighters arrive on station, the insurgents can’t run away fast enough,” said Capt. DC #Occupyer Fired Shots at White House
May Be Threat to President (updated/bumped Suspect in Custody)

If you hadn't heard about the shots fired in DC earlier this week, the police have linked the shooting to a suspect and also found two bullets lodged in the White House.

ABC News has learned authorities are increasingly concerned that a man sought in connection with a bizarre shooting incident on the Washington Mall last week may pose a threat to President Obama.

The Secret Service now suspects that a bullet fired in this incident may have hit the White House after a bullet round was found in a White House window, though the round had not yet been conclusively linked to the incident. The round was stopped by ballistic glass behind the historic exterior glass, while an additional round has been found on the exterior of the White House.

Police believe the suspect, 21-year-old Oscar Ramiro Ortega of Idaho, is mentally ill. Ortega has an extensive record, ranging from domestic violence to drug charges. Sources say a police investigation has uncovered evidence suggesting Ortega has a fixation on the White House.

At 9:30 p.m. Friday, police received reports of shots fired in the bustling area of 16th street and Constitution Ave.

Authorities would later find a car in the area. The suspect had fled, but what police discovered inside the vehicle left them deeply concerned: an assault style rifle and empty shell casings.

But then at the end of the article, away from everything else in the article, almost as if its no big deal...
U.S. Park police say Ortega may have spent time blending in with Occupy D.C. protesters.
DHS report coming out about the danger of violent Left Wing Extremists connected connected to the Occupy movement soon, we're not exactly sure when... Probably sometime after November 2012.

Update: Here is an image of the suspect from FOXNEWS.

U.S. Park Police spokesman Sgt. David Schlosser said Sunday that officers had obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect on a felony charge of carrying a dangerous weapon, in connection with the incident.

Ortega-Hernandez is thought to have remained in the Washington, D.C., area following Friday's drama. Secret Service describe him as a 21-year old, Hispanic male, 5'11", 160 pounds, with a medium build, brown eyes and black hair.

Update the Secret Service reportedly has arrested the suspect.

Noted Austrian Extremist Goes to Germany in Search of Compatriots in Fatherland

Like a young Adolph Hitler (whom I'm sure he greatly admires), Mohammad Mahmoud -- a convicted terrorist and founding member of the Global Islamic Media Foundation [GIMF] -- has left Austria in order to seek a unified front with extremists in Germany:

It’s likely that officials from the Austrian Ministry of Interior are everything but sad due to the departure of a particular person of interest: Mohamed M., who was convicted for membership in a terrorist organization to a four years prison term and released in September 2011, left Vienna. The 26-year-old Austrian with Egyptian roots left Austria for Berlin to be a founding member of the oranisation Millatu Ibrahim, introducing a new website on November 7th.

He first appeared in the german capital at the end of October. On October 26th, he attracted attention from German media after he and a handful of Islamists picked up Hani N. and Samir M. , two terror-suspects, as they were released from custody. In their apartment investigators found chemicals which are suitable for manufacturing explosives.

Apparently Mahmoud has achieved celebrity status within the German speaking jihad community, and since his release he's been making the rounds.

For a discussion of the new website, see this thread at the Internet Haganah forum.

Occupy DC Protester, "Shooting at White House NOT Terrorism"

Protestor Ralph Wittenberg told TPM on Tuesday evening that authorities came through “searching for a so-called terrorist who shot at the White House, with no warrant, they went into everybody’s tents.”

Yeah be cause we all know who the real terrorists are. Those Tea Baggers who want, you know, fiscal discipline. Because fiscal discipline is the greatest threat to uh uh uh give me a minute.

No Homegrown Extremism Alert

Important information for those who called Rep. King's hearings on homegrown extremism a "witch hunt" and "Islamophobic". The key findings of an academic paper by a professor at Rice:

• Of the 104 American citizens arrested for Islamic extremist activities between January 2009 and April 2011, half were born in the U.S., 22 percent were naturalized citizens and 7 percent were dual citizens.

• Of the 104, 5 percent entered the U.S. on a visa.

Sixty-three percent of converts had a known prior criminal record.

• Of the 14 American converts with a prior criminal history, at least 55 percent had converted to Islam in prison.

• Ninety-two 92 percent were male.

• Sixty-four percent were 30 years old or younger.

Sixty-six percent had traveled or were in the process of traveling to the Middle East, Somalia, South Asia or the Balkans.

• Of the 104, 70 percent had an association or were attempting an association with an internationally recognized terrorist organization; al-Qaida and its associated branches were cited most.

Of the 29 persons with no known association to a group, 11 had been active on terrorist-related chat rooms and websites.

• Overall, 38 percent had been involved in this Internet activity.

Only 10 of the 104 are what the authors would consider "lone wolves"; most in the cohort had ties to others in the group or to an organization.

#OccupyAmerica = #ScrewAmerica

I stumbled upon the etymology of the word "occupy" (emphasis mine):

From Portland to St. Louis, the Occupy protests have been gaining momentum and continue to be front-page news. The protests sent us to the dictionary (where else?) to look up the etymology of the word “occupy.” We found an unexpected obsolete definition. The term occupy formerly meant something very different than its current common meaning. From the early 1500s to the 1800s, occupy was used to refer to sexual relations, as in “to occupy a woman” as defined in the Lexicon Balatronicum in 1811.

Given that definition, doesn't it make the whole #Occupy movement much clearer? They want to screw you & me. They want to screw the taxpayers, screw Wall Street, and screw America.

And judging from the rising number of rapes in #Occupy camps, they are really out to screw each other as well.

L.A. Times Reporter's Head Explodes After Having To Report Multiple Crimes At #OccupyLA

Okay, not really. But the crimes listed actually happened.

But given how the leftist media has avoided any negative exposure of the #Occupy movement, imagine how difficult it was for reporter Andrew Blankstein to write this article:

Angele Chaidez, 21, faces one count of lewd conduct and one count of indecent exposure for allegedly exposing himself and masturbating in front of several people, including children, Friday on the south steps of City Hall, said prosecutors with the L.A. city attorney's office.

That same day, Zachary Isaac, 21, allegedly entered a woman's tent and called her “Satan.” After the woman asked Isaac to leave, he allegedly punched her in the face with a closed fist. Prosecutors charged him with one count of battery resulting in injury.

Robert Holland Jr., 31, allegedly waved a knife at another person on Halloween, then resisted arrest, prosecutors said. He was charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of brandishing a deadly weapon, one count of disturbing the peace and one count of resisting arrest.

Michael Howard Thomson, 51, was charged with two counts of battery and one count of resisting arrest after getting into a physical altercation with a parent over a child, prosecutors said.

Thompson is accused of approaching a man in a tent Oct. 11 and pushing him while attempting to grab a 2-year old child, prosecutors said.

Another person tried to intervene and Thompson punched him in the face, prosecutors said. When police arrived, Thompson allegedly refused to cooperate and violently resisted officers’ efforts to detain him.

Farid Ahntab, 24, faces one count each of possession of a deadly weapon, brandishing a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest following three separate incidents at the camp.

Wow, five #Occupy crimes in one liberal media article... isn't that a record of some sort? Makes you wonder how many are not reported.

#OccupyRingworm & Scabies

From Gateway Pundit:

Police said there have been reports of ringworm and scabies at the camp in recent days. County officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment about health conditions at the camp.

Lane said he planned to continue talks with Occupy campers this week.

The only thing not reported, so far, is the infestation of assmaggots. But that's really the epitome of the entire #Occupy movement. For now, we'll just leave them in that category.

More things #Occupy has that the Tea Party never had...

Work Accident or the Juice?

I, for one, blame da J-O-Os. They're everywhere:

The blast at the Alghadir missile base at Bid Ganeh was so powerful it rattled windows 30 miles away in Tehran. Witnesses said it sounded like a huge bomb had been dropped. Seventeen of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards were killed, among them a man described his peers as the "architect" of the country's missile programme, Major General Hassan Moghaddam...

The official account insisted the blast was an accident, but a source with close links to Iran's clerical regime blamed it on an operation by the Mossad, bolstering other reports of involvement by Israel's intelligence and special operations organisation that were attributed to western intelligence services.

Two Bombs Explode in Lebanon

BEIRUT — A bomb exploded Wednesday at a hotel frequented by U.N. staffers in southern Lebanon, causing damage but no casualties, a Lebanese security official said.

The official said the blast tore through the pub at the Queen Elissa Hotel in the port city of Tyre early in the morning. Rubble littered the pavement outside the hotel, and part of the ground floor was badly damaged by the blast.

Another explosion minutes later damaged a liquor store in the city, also causing no casualties. The official spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations.

Of course the UN morons with UNIFIL are pretty sure the bombing of their hotel was just a coincidence.
Andrea Tenenti, a spokesman for the U.N. peacekeeping force known as UNIFIL, said in a statement that “there are no indications whatsoever that UNIFIL was targeted by the explosion.”
I'd always heard they had good hashish in Lebanon. Given Andrea Tenenti's statement it seems likely to be true.

It seems Iran and its proxy Hezbollah (Party of Allah) is not too happy with the UN's role preventing them from attacking Israel via southern Lebanon or its recent actions and discussions about Iran's ally Syria's handling of unrest there.

Facebook's Fatwa on Salmon Rushdi

A few days ago, Facebook allegedly kicked famous author Salman Rushdie off of its social network, and then asked him to change his posted name to Ahmed if he wanted to return.

Rushdie -- known for his outspokenness -- went on a rant about the incident on Twitter, where he has more than 100,000 followers. Facebook eventually "buckled," he wrote Monday.

Yes Facebook are dicks. That's not really news. What is news is that those who hold opinions that are unpopular to Islamists and Leftists speech is blunted on the privately owned but very public platforms of Facebook and Google+.

Tools that are very much a part of modern free speech can be denied on a whim of political judgement or a flagging campaign by like minded Islamists and other groups. Those who's opinions or speech might result in violent acts and death threats pen names are banned outright.

Given that Facebook and Google+ are privately owned that is their right. But that doesn't mean the manner in which they operate doesn't stink to high heaven.

We've abandoned our attempts to use either because of this. We've moved to Twitter for the most part. But I will tell you that its had real consequences Jawa Reports website in terms of traffic and being able to promote our stories to the widest audience possible.

Of course that was our choice, we could have edited our website, removing some more of the more uncomfortable truths, we could have fixed it so or death threats arrive in our mailbox at home rather than our inbox here. Neither of those options appealed very much to us.

US drone strike kills 18 in South Waziristan

Major drone action.....five drones all converged at the same time to hit this target....makes a body wonder.

The Nation

A major salvo of US missiles on Wednesday destroyed a Pakistani Taliban base on the Afghan border, killing up to 18 suspected militants including possible Al-Qaeda fighters, local officials said.

Five US drones fired up to 10 missiles into a sprawling compound in the Baber Ghar area of South Waziristan, killing 15 to 18 fighters in the deadliest such American strike in three months, the Pakistani officials said.

Five US drones carried out Wednesday's attack, one of the officials told AFP in the deadliest such coordinated strike in northwest Pakistan since a similar strike killed 21 fighters in the Afghan Taliban Haqqani faction on August 10.

"The target was a base of Pakistan Taliban. We have reports that 16 to 18 militants were killed," the official told AFP in Peshawar. Another official in Peshawar put the death toll at 15.

An official in Wana confirmed that a base of Pakistan's umbrella Taliban faction, Tehreek-e-Taliban, was destroyed and said there were reports that "some foreigners" were also killed.

"It was Taliban base. They were using this place as a training camp, to keep weapons and to take shelter," the Wana official said. "The drones came almost at the same time," he added.

Syrian army defectors attack intelligence base near Damascus

Things heating up in Syria.....not sure how serious this is or will become ...but its not a good sign for regime survival when this sort of thing begins to happen.

Syrian army defectors have attacked a string of military bases in Damascus, including an intelligence complex on the outskirts of the capital, in the first such reported assault on a major security facility in the eight-month uprising against President Bashar al-Assad.

Members of the Free Syrian Army fired shoulder-mounted rockets and machine guns at the compound run by Air Force Intelligence in Harasta, a suburb of the capital.

A gunfight ensued and helicopters circled the area. The attack appeared to mark an escalation in armed confrontations between government and opposition forces instead of clashes involving street protesters. "I heard several explosions, the sound of machine gunfire being exchanged," a Hasrata resident told Reuters.

Other attacks targeted military checkpoints in the suburbs of Douma, Qaboun and Arabeen and Saqba.

There was no immediate report of casualties, and the area where the fighting occurred remained inaccessible, the sources said.

Boston Blogger "Sought Terror Training"

Tarek Mehanna says he was going to Yemen to seek "religous education". Of course, we've heard that one before from Samir Khan who's "religious education" ended up getting him killed while riding in al Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki's car.

So, if you're buying that he was just going to Yemen to lean more about Islamic Law, I've got a bridge that I can sell you dirt cheap.

The defense in the case is still promoting the idea that Mehanna's pro-al Qaeda propaganda mill was somehow protected speech. But it gets worse as they now seem to have shifted to an argument that if one doesn't support suicide attacks against civilians then one is, by definition, not a supporter of terrorism.

So, one might support al Qaeda and yet not support some of it's tactics and this means that one doesn't support terror? It's like being a Hitler supporting Nazi against the holocaust. I'm not sure how that works, exactly:

A former friend of Tarek Mehanna told a jury in federal court yesterday that he brought the Sudbury native and two of his associates to Logan International Airport in 2004, so they could travel to Yemen to train in a terrorist camp.

Mehanna had believed “there was an obligation for Muslims to stand up and fight against the invasion in Iraq and US forces in Iraq,’’ Hassan Masood said, testifying yesterday in Mehanna’s terrorism trial in US District Court in Boston....

Prosecutors say that Mehanna and Abousamra ultimately failed to find a terrorist camp in Yemen, but that Mehanna returned home with a newfound dedication to distribute materials and videos promoting violent jihad on the Internet, to help promote Al Qaeda’s ideology....

Masood acknowledged under Carney’s questioning that while Abousamra had extreme views, Mehanna often had scholarly texts with him, and that he cited Islamic law in their discussions.

Mehanna, for instance, opposed suicide bombings and called them a last resort, because of the potential to hurt innocent civilians. But he supported attacking military targets to defend Muslims, including US military targets on foreign soil, Masood said.

I'm sure it's a great consolation to our troops that Mehanna, an American citizen, supported killing them.

The trial of three men in Norway who plotted to kill Kurt Westergaard, one of the cartoonists that drew Muhammad, opened today. All three are immigrants who fled their repressive countries, only to come to the West only to demand that we become as repressive as the countries they fled.

4 Arrested in UK Trained in Pak Terror Camps

I think it was just a couple of weeks ago that I read that Islamist extremism was on the decline in the UK. Oh what a week and a sting will do to mess up a data set:

Officers from the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit detained the men at their homes in the Sparkhill area of Birmingham on suspicion of travelling to Pakistan to undertake terrorist training and of raising funds for terrorist purposes.

A police spokesman said the suspects, aged between 19 and 24, had been arrested as part of Operation Pitsford, a large-scale inquiry which has already seen eight other people charged with a variety of offences.

So, make that 12 arrested in this particular jihadi cell.

Bad News: Taliban Spokesman NOT Captured

Via @switch_d, some Afghan officials claimed that the Taliban's spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid was arrested yesterday. Which would be super awesome news given that he's #1 on the people Rusty would like to see killed list. Alas, news of ZB's demise have been greatly exaggerated:

An Afghan government official there reported that the spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid, was among suspects detained during joint coalition and Afghan military operations. A second government official in Paktika confirmed the account. Both spoke anonymously because they were not authorized to release the information.

Reached on his usual cellphone number a few hours later, Mr. Mujahid angrily denied their accounts. “I am talking to you on the phone right now,” he told an Afghan reporter who has frequently interviewed him in the past. “I am safe and sound and living in a safe place.”

In related news, apparently the Taliban's main website was hacked yesterday. It was defaced with a message decrying the killing of civilians. Unfortunately it's back up and running with it's usual nonsense, but a temporary blow is better than no blow to their online propaganda arm.

Yet Another American Convicted of Trying to Aid al Qaeda

Another day, another homegrown terrorist convicted:

Texan Barry Bujol, who converted to Islam and sought repeatedly to travel to the Middle East, was convicted of trying to aid al-Qaida terrorists and using a fake identification card to sneak into the Port of Houston.

Bujol, who authorities said they feared could have been another "American Taliban," is scheduled to be sentenced in February and could get 20 years in prison without parole.

The fact that this is getting almost no press time says that either this is becoming so common that it's no longer worthy of the national news, or that the national news isn't covering it for fear of inciting you moronic Islamophobes into horrible behaviors. Like looking too long at the guy in the M.C. Hammer pants and long beard or cracking an inappropriate joke about a certain pedophile prophet. The horror!

Occupy Obamaville Cleared From Zuccotti

At about 1 a.m. Tuesday, New York City police handed out notices from Brookfield Office Properties, owner of Zuccotti Park, and the city saying that the park had to be cleared because it had become unsanitary and hazardous. Protesters were told they could return in several hours, but without sleeping bags, tarps or tents.

Paul Brown, a spokesman for the New York Police Department, said the park had been cleared by 4:30 a.m. and that about 70 people who'd been inside it had been arrested, including a group who chained themselves together. One person was taken to a local hospital for evaluation because of breathing problems.

ATF Investigating Explosion at Jerusalem Cafe (Bumped/Updated)

Jerusalem Cafe in Cincinnati mysteriously blew up over the weekend. One suspect "has been identified."

But don't worry the ATF always investigates gas line explosions. Don't they?

Updated 11/15:

Cincinnati Fire Captain Dan Rottmueller confirmed that the person injured in the explosion was the restaurateur, Aiman Arabeiat. Initial reports indicated that the owner’s son had been hurt. The owner’s son, though, drove Arabeiat in a pickup truck, Rottmueller said.

The truck took Arabeiat to Christ Hospital, according to an emergency dispatch report. From there, Arabeiat was transferred to University Hospital.

Oh and it was not a gas explosion. No word on what type of explosion at this time.
But officials have ruled out a natural gas leak, a Duke Energy official said Monday. “We were cleared of gas being involved last night,”

(Washington) Political wrangling within the Joint Deficit Reduction Committee continues with a deadline of November 23 for finding $1.5 trillion in deficit reduction.

They have been meeting for two months, poring over concepts and ideas already hashed out by three other groups over the past year.

But 10 days before their deadline, members of the so-called congressional "super committee" created to forge a deficit reduction deal indicated Sunday that they remain hung up on basic issues of tax and entitlement reform that have previously stymied agreement.

I suspect the committee will find a way to delay making a final decision.

Totally F*cked Up Story of the Day

Man facing 105 years in prison for shooting at would-be thief.

Update: David Sturdivant has been been freed. All charges dropped.

He will never recover all the property that was stolen and destroyed by thieves during his stay in jail. That sucks. But it appears that his turning down of an offered plea deal and decision to go to trial was a wise one. Apparently prosecutors realized that a jury was unlikely to convict Mr. Sturdivant.

Thanks to Legionnaire of the Banned.

Update II: Note that the thief in question is again facing burglary charges. Two counts and also a theft count. He was released on $1500 in most likely stolen cash while Mr. Sturdivant, against whom all charges have been dismissed, served seven months awaiting trial.

Pelosi Grows Fat and Rich on Consumer's Backs

Big Government:

Former Speaker of the House–and current Minority Leader–Nancy Pelosi apparently bought $1 million to $5 million of Visa stock in one of the most sought-after and profitable initial public offerings (IPO) in American history, thwarted serious credit card reform for two years, and then watched her investment skyrocket 203%.

The revelation appears in Throw Them All Out, the new book by investigative journalist and Breitbart editor Peter Schweizer, which was the focus of 60 Minutes on CBS this evening, and which is featured in this week’s issue of Newsweek.

Really there is nothing wrong with making money. Unless you spend your time demonizing big banks and stirring up leftist political strife while quietly taking inside offers and manipulating the workings of the House of Repesentatives.

'Mostly Peaceful' #OccupySanFrancisco Protesters Slash Police Officers With Razors

In the first attack, only one protester actually slashed the police officer. The other "mostly peaceful, non-violent" 99% just helped her get away.

In the second attack, a protester steals an officers radio and, when he pursues, a second protester slashed his face. The "mostly peaceful, non-violent" 99%, again, assisted in the perpetrators' escape.

From MercuryNews (all emphasis mine):

SAN FRANCISCO -- One San Francisco police officer was slashed by a razor and another had his uniform torn and cheek cut in a clash with Occupy San Francisco protesters Saturday afternoon, authorities said. [...]

A female protester emerged from the crowd and an "exacto razor blade attached to a pen or pencil-like object," San Francisco police said in an email.

"The female slashed the inside of the officer's hand and ran back into the crowd before the officer had time to realize he was cut," police said.

In a second incident, a protester grabbed an officer's police radio and ran back into the crowd. As the officer attempted to retrieve it, a second protester blocked the officer and tore his uniform and cut his cheek, police said, intimating that a weapon had been used.

The officer retrieved his radio and both male demonstrators escaped into the crowd, police said.

At least 15 people died as a result of an explosion on a military base in western Tehran, Iran's official IRNA news agency reported Saturday.

Saturday's explosion took place at a Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) munitions depot at a military base, a military spokesman told the agency.

According to super sekrit Zionist channels what happened was the workers were eating milk and cookies when they made the fatal mistake of mixing up some goat milk with soy milk. When they dipped their cookies in it, the shit blew up.

Update II: Full report here at the Beeb.

My apologies to Richet for da blantant borrowing of his schtick, but its early Saturday morning and he's not using it.

#Occupy Visits Blogcon

Hot Air:

Both Tina Korbe and I are attending the FreedomWorks BlogCon 2011, where a handful of Occupy Denver protesters started a protest in the lobby. That prompted a loud counterprotest from the attendees here, and one arrest of an Occupier. John Hawkins of Right Wing News snapped a photo of the arrest:
The amazing thing is that the VRWE crowd, very much like the Whos in Whoville, defeated the VLEs with song.

Honor Your Vets Cooking With the Troops

Veteran’s Day. A day to honor those who have served.

This day, Cooking with the Troops will be doing so through a very special event at the NASDAQ MarketSite. The day will start at 0730 as some special events take place, and move into a day of cooking demonstrations, a luncheon, and the closing bell ceremony.

We are honored to have some very special guests with us. We will be having the first participants in the Vets2Chefs program join us during they day, and some other veterans are scheduled to join us as well. One very special veteran is Phil Perugini, who was in Easy Company, of Band of Brothers fame.

We will also have cooking demonstrations being done in the MarketSite:

0935: Chef Luque of the historic Thayer Hotel

1030: Fairway Market’s Culinary Display team

1130: Chef Paul Niedermann, winner of Season 9 of Hell’s Kitchen

1230: Chef Ellen Adams, for Cooking with the Troops

There is a luncheon at 1300, and there will be a very special closing bell ceremony for the day. Check out our Twitter feed for updates and more, as well as our Facebook page.

It will also be a very special day as an online fundraiser organized by 3Media Partners will kick off. This effort will help us do more this year, as well as taking us into the new year on a very good footing — we hope.

Support fully satisfied veteran appetites here.

Class Action Suit in Nidal Hassan Terrorist Attack

Army Times:

WASHINGTON — Eighty-three victims and family members in the worst-ever mass shooting at a U.S. military installation are seeking $750 million in compensation from the Army, alleging that willful negligence enabled psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Hasan to carry out a terrorist attack at Fort Hood, Texas.

The administrative claims filed last week said the government had clear warnings that Hasan, who is scheduled to go on trial in March, posed a grave danger to the lives of soldiers and civilians.

...Hasan, an American-born Muslim, faces the death penalty or life in prison without parole if convicted of 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder.

U.S. officials have said they believe Hasan’s attack was inspired by the radical U.S.-born cleric Anwar al-Awlaki and that the two men exchanged as many as 20 emails. Al-Awlaki was killed in a U.S. drone strike in Yemen in late September. His name has not yet been mentioned in any hearings in the criminal case against Hasan.

Chris Dodd Wanted to Pork Princess Leia

Daily Caller:

Not so long ago, in a District of Columbia not so far away, Sen. Ted Kennedy was more than a little perverted to Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher.

According to her latest book, “Shockaholic,” Fisher was on a date in 1985 with former Sen. Chris Dodd in Washington, D.C. The two were joined for dinner by the late Kennedy, who proceeded to ask some rather frank questions.

“Suddenly,” Fisher writes, “Senator Kennedy, seated directly across from me, looked at me with his alert, aristocratic eyes and asked me a most surprising question. ‘So,’ he said, clearly amused, ‘do you think you’ll be having sex with Chris at the end of your date?’”

Rusty Endorses Newt Gingrich

I've been out of politics for some time, but for what it's worth I've decided to support Newt Gingrich for President. In the coming weeks, I'll try to explain that decision. For now,we'll let the endorsement and support stand on its own.

Back in 2004 I was involved with Matt Margolis' Blogs for Bush back in the heady blogs will change the world days. Does anyone know if a similar organization or blog hive exists for Newt? If you do, let me know.

Noted Fan of Beheading Hostages Also Fan of #OWS
Update: Red on Red Flame War! "Jawa Really Spooked You Out"

Yousef al-Khattab quoted in al Qaeda's Inspire magazine

Guess who supports the #Occupy movement? None other than Yousef al-Khattab, busy spinning away his former support of terrorism -- and yes, even of beheading civilian hostages -- by warning the #Occupy movement not to let crazies speak for them. You know, like white supremacists and Jews. Unsavory types like that.

UPDATED/Bumped Nov 11, 2011: Ha, I didn't notice this part at the end of the MEMRI report. It notes a flame war going on in the comments section of Yousef's support #OWS video. In it, one of Yousef's former friends who still hangs out at the Islamic Awakening forum has it out with him. And we get a mention:

YousefRants: "I suggest that you make Mubahala on your theory since you have posted it on IA [ed: Islamic Awakening Forum]. That is the best way to conclude. So to sum up in reality the whole RM [ed: Revolution Muslim] amirship that Younes [ed: Younes Abdullah Muhammad, the jailed co-founder of Revolution Muslim] asked me to take when I did not want it was a mistake. The soldier video and repost of the Tuskin Raiders [ed note: He actually thought the Daniel Pearl beheading video was funny. Here's the post on the video] both were done b4 RM & I had told Younes I was to high profile & flamboyant for his academic message. The author of the Juice is a member of IA forum and very well respected in ur circles. I suggest u troll him" ...

[ed: Vidcap from Daniel Pearl/Tusken Raiders video. Notice the jawa?]

YousefRants: "I remember and still have the the Liberty movie picture with me smiling (not illegal),Tee Juice was your buddy from Queens and another young man that held similar views as you. I have a pic of me with a knife to a box of Jooz brand Orange Juice (not illegal), the mocking of a occupation soldier was me and that was pre RM and that was not illegal, the Daniel Pearl video I found on Youtube and reposted it the original is still up today (not illegal). The JDO [ed: Jewish Defense Organization] & Jawa never scared me."

AbdulMumeet1970: "so you dont remember posing in front of a picture of the statue of liberty being cut with an axe while having a sarcastic smile on your face or the so called "Kill the Juice" nonsense and your low budget Daniel Pearl mockery, I dont think the ADL liked that one, .Oh how can i forget how you tortured a doll pretending it was an American soldier. Come on man, :) looks like the JDO and Jawa really spooked you out. Some mujahid you were. Maybe you should have behaved yourself"

Thanks to Star for bringing that to my attention.

News: German Charged as al Qaeda
Better News: German al Qaeda in Afghanistan Killed

First, the news:

A German-Afghan man whose information led to terrorism warnings across Europe last year has been charged with being a member of Al Qaeda, federal prosecutors said Thursday.

Ahmad Wali Siddiqui was captured by U.S. troops in Afghanistan in July 2010 and while in custody provided details on alleged plots linked to the terror network that supposedly targeted European cities. No attacks materialized.

Federal prosecutors' spokesman Marcus Koehler said Thursday that his office had charged the 37-year-old, identified only as Ahmad Wali S. in accordance with German privacy laws, with membership in the extremist Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan and Al Qaeda on Nov. 2.

What could be better than capturing a German member of an al Qaeda affilliate? Killing one:
The Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan recently announced the death of a previously unknown jihadist from Germany.

The announcement of the death of Abu Bakr al Almani (the German) was made by another German who calls himself Abdul Matin al Almani. Abu Bakr's death was disclosed at the end of a martyrdom statement titled "Thoughts of a Mujahid." The statement was released on jihadist forums on Nov. 5, and translated by the SITE Intelligence Group.

Irony: Radical Islamist Assaults EDL Leader on Show about "Islamophobia"

This video is posted all over Facebook by the British Islamist crowd associated with the now banned Muslims Against Crusades. The irony here is that from the name of the show, and the fact that it's on Al Gore's Current TV, seems to suggest that they went in to investigate "Islamophobia" as a major problem in Britain. But it's the Islamophobes who are getting hurt and it's the "victims" who are the aggressors.

Don't worry, I'm sure they'll find some reason as to why Saif was justified in assaulting the EDL leader. I'll also not that the Islamists posting the video are doing so as a way of praising Saif al-Islam's assault.

And just to be clear, I do think there is such a thing as Islamophobia. But it seems to me that the term is used much like the accusation of racism -- as a way of shutting down rational conversation. Also, I have no real thoughts on the EDL one way or another.

Muslims Against Crusades Banned in UK **Bumped**

Home Secretary Theresa May is banning Muslims Against Crusades, a group planning an anti-Armistice Day protest.

The organisation had planned to repeat a demonstration seen last year, when members burned poppies near to London's Albert Hall.

Mrs May's order, which comes into force at midnight, makes membership or support of the group a criminal offence.

The organisation is closely linked to a host of other previously-banned groups.

...Muslims Against Crusades is the latest incarnation of the organisation originally set up by extremist preacher Omar Bakri Mohammed, who fled the UK six years ago.

...Its previous incarnations, Al Ghurabaa, The Saved Sect, Al Muhajiroun and Islam4UK are all proscribed groups.

Anjem Choudary, the leading public figure in the organisation, accused the government of attempting to cover up the truth.

But little good it will do because Britain's good friend Canada is still playing host to Muslims Against Crusades' website.

Recent posts there included one by Abu Izzadeen asking of the assassination of President Barrack Obama was legal. Izzadeen, born Trevor Brooks, has since been arrested for violating the conditions of his early release from prison. He was serving time for supporting terrorism.

USS Cole Hearing at Gitmo Today

It's a death penalty case. I hope they fry him and then he fries some more in hell:

The suspected mastermind behind the bombing of the USS Cole - the 2000 attack that took the lives of 17 American sailors - stepped into public view Wednesday inside a military commission courtroom at the U.S. Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay Cuba.

Abd al-Rahim Hussayn Muhammad al-Nashiri did not enter a plea in his arraignment after the charges were read....

Al-Nashiri is charged with killing 17 American sailors in the bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen in 2000. The attack left dozens of others were injured and a gaping hole was blown into the side of the warship.

Wait, so they have an arraignment and they let al-Nashiri not make a plea one way or another? It seems to me that today's hearing doesn't portend good things for military commissions.

I really opposed trying terrorists in civilian courts in the past based on hypotheticals about giving them certain Constitutional rights and on the principle that certain acts of terrorism are military in nature. However, the last ten years has shown that our civilian courts are pretty adequate in trying terrorists. I'm not aware of a single instance in which a terrorist -- or even a potential terrorist -- wasn't convicted.

So, my hypothetical fears no longer seem to mesh with reality as it is. If anything, previous military commissions at Gitmo have set free many guilty parties who then returned to the battlefield only to commit more crimes.

I'm not exactly sure what the solution is, but I'm not sure we've found the solution in the present system. But I guess we'll see over the next few years as the trial drags on and on and on.

Sweet: AQIM Says It Has Some of Libya's Missing Weapons

This is unsurprising, yet still bad news:

"We have been one of the main beneficiaries of the revolutions in the Arab world," said [AQIM leader] Belmokhtar, an Algerian national.

"As for our acquisition of Libyan armament, that is an absolutely natural thing," he said, without elaborating on the nature of the weapons purportedly acquired.

It's not good, but I'll note that neither was the status quo with Gadhaffi in charge of an oil wealthy nation with lots of weapons at his disposal. State sponsors of terror, like Gadhaffi, are much more dangerous to US interests than groups like AQIM.

New Charges Against "Conscientious Objector" Who Planned Ft. Hood Masacre II

New charges against the Naser Abdo who won conscientious objector status and was once the poster child of the Islamist/Leftist anti-war alliance before he went AWOL and tried to kill soldiers near Ft. Hood:

A federal grand jury in Waco issued a new six-count indictment Tuesday against Pfc. Naser J. Abdo, a Muslim conscientious objector accused of plotting a terrorist attack in Killeen.

Now jailed without bail, Abdo, 21, was charged with one count of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction, which carries a sentence of life in prison.

He also was charged with one count of attempting to kill federal officers or workers, two counts of possessing a firearm to commit a violent crime, and two counts of having a destructive device.

I've read the superseding indictment. Apparently the follow up charges stem from the fact that after he had detonated the bomb -- the bomb which he learned to build by reading Samir Khan's AQAP Inspire magazine -- he would then kill any survivors or any other bystanders with his .40 cal.

#OccupyOakland Communists Intend to Overthrow Government

For some reason I'd always thought that inciting a riot with the intent to overthrow the US government was a crime? But apparently the pinko communist POS who wrote this doesn't think so.

Watching a video in support of Occupy Oakland produced by, a group which supports and raises funds for the ruling Democratic Party, one is lead to believe that those in the plaza were exercising their “first amendment rights” of speech and peaceful assembly, and in turn were attacked by a police force that does not respect those rights. This narrative has been picked up by many within the occupy movement and within OO, and it is important to counter it. Because, quite simply, it is a lie.

The occupation of Oscar Grant Plaza (OGP) was possible because people took the space. They did not ask, and they did not have the ‘right’ to be there. The current laws on the books say that camping in a park overnight is illegal. You are not supposed to have amplified sound and be able to cook and serve food without permits. Even the decisions made en mass by the general assembly, which forbade police from coming into the area, are of course a direct violation of the law

The rant is quite informative on several levels but can be summed up by the writers signature at the end.
We are coming. We are already here.

Just disregard that any state of anarchy would be inherently capitalist. Only a strong communist state can extinguish "capitalism". Not that any of the few remaining true communist states would want or even consider that. They already learned the hard way that the destruction of free enterprise makes their states unsustainable. But don't tell that to the morons breaking windows in Oakland. They are on a roll.

Imperial Good News: 70 Dead Losers From The Islamic State of Afghanistan (With Link to Epic Taliban Fail Video!)

Yahoo News:

Up to 70 Taliban fighters were killed after trying to attack a foreign troop base in eastern Afghanistan, officials said Wednesday.

The attempted assault happened late Tuesday at a combat outpost in Paktika province, close to the border with Pakistan where militants have hideouts. No international troops were killed or injured in the incident.

The killings came as a district governor from the same province died of his injuries after his car was struck by a roadside bomb.

Mokhlis Afghan, a spokesman for the governor of Paktika, said the attackers who targeted the ISAF base were likely to have come from the Pakistani side of the border.

"In a joint ISAF (International Security Assistance Force) and Afghan operation last night in Barmal district, between 60 and 70 Taliban militants were killed," he said.

"Initial reports show that this big group of militants wanted to attack a joint Afghan-ISAF base in Margha area of Barmal but were stopped and air assistance was called in."

The NATO-led ISAF said that an estimated 60 Taliban were killed in the clash and there were no casualties among international forces.

Well doggies.....That makes yesterday's Epic Taliban Fail Video post all that much sweeter.

Obama is stealing Christmas! plans to create a new board to "strengthen the Christmas tree industry." To pay for the program, he will impose a new Christmas tree tax:

To pay for the new Federal Christmas tree image improvement and marketing program, the Department of Agriculture imposed a 15-cent fee on all sales of fresh Christmas trees by sellers of more than 500 trees per year (7 CFR 1214.52). And, of course, the Christmas tree sellers are free to pass along the 15-cent Federal fee to consumers who buy their Christmas trees.

Acting Administrator Shipman had the temerity to say the 15-cent mandatory Christmas tree fee “is not a tax nor does it yield revenue for the Federal government” (76 CFR 69102). The Federal government mandates that the Christmas tree sellers pay the 15-cents per tree, whether they want to or not. The Federal government directs that the revenue generated by the 15-cent fee goes to the Board appointed by the Secretary of Agriculture to carry out the Christmas tree program established by the Secretary of Agriculture. Mr. President, that’s a new 15-cent tax to pay for a Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees.

Just what we needed in this economy - a new tax.

Official Jawa Endorsement for Herman Cain: Because Slutty Presidents Are Just Plain Better

A short time ago I listened to Herman Cain's statement denying that he ever wronged anyone ever ever ever ever.

And well that's a shame because historically the sluttier the president the better he is.

I mean even Ronald Reagan had been divorced, William Jefferson Clinton, Thomas Jefferson. J.F.K. .... Catch my drift.

Even playing devil's advocate the most we've learned is that Cain buys a lady dinner and when rejected he stops his advance. That and he likes white women. Hot ones.

Which is probably, given history, not the best predictor of what kind of president he would be or even really relevant to the question. If anything it predicts that Herman Cain would be a better president than the current henpecked occupant of that office.

Update: The plot thickens.... Man this dude is a playah...

Dumb: Working for al Qaeda in Boston
Dumber: Working for AQ in Boston Knowing You're Being Watched

The trial of Tarek Mehanna just gets funnier and funnier. The al Qaeda propagandist and one-time blogger suspected he was being watched by the FBI and that one of his friends was informing on him .... yet, he kept translating materials for al Qaeda in Iraq:

After being approached by FBI agents investigating his activities, alleged terror supporter Tarek Mehanna in 2006 apparently began to suspect that one of his friends was a government informant, an agent testified today at Mehanna’s trial in federal court....

“You never know with these things,” Mehanna wrote to his friend in May 2006, according to the testimony of FBI agent Christian Fierabend, who read from a transcript of the Internet chats.

“Remember, I’m being watched,” Mehanna said, according to Fierabend.

Mehanna's lawyers still insist that working directly for al Qaeda constitutes "free speech".

Brave Mujahideen Dress up like School Kids

The reason the Geneva Conventions require combatants to wear uniforms or some other sort of easily identifiable marker is to protect civilians. The easier it is to differentiate combatants from non-combatants, the safer those non-combatants will be.

So, dressing like a civilian is a no-no. But dressing like a school kid? That's pretty despicable:

"The militant shifted their uniforms and now wear school uniforms like those worn in intermediate and secondary schools in Elashab Biyaha. We closed the schools because this may affect the students if the government forces come to this area."
But it gets worse:
Parents anonymously told Somalia Report that the militants have gone so far as to force students to dress like militants
Where's Code Pink with the protests?

Will McCants has an interesting article up at Foreign Policy on the appearance of al Qaeda type flags in many countries involved in the Arab Spring. In it he says:

the appearance of the flag in other Arab countries is not necessarily evidence of growing support for al Qaeda or terrorist group's presence. It could just as easily be youth taking advantage of their newfound freedom to scare their elders, or repressed Salafis using the most shocking symbol possible to voice their anger in public.
So the black flag of al Qaeda is to Muslim youth what the Che Guevara t-shirt is to wannabe college hippies? You know, a symbol of anger at something, but they're not quite sure what that thing is and if you asked them about who Che Guevara was, what he did, and what he believed you'd probably get blank stares.

Okay, but then he has a series of images that seem to indicate the exact opposite of this possible counter-narrative. Here's the first one.

Al Qaeda flag flown in Gaza

Yeah, I'm much more at ease now.

I think we have to admit that there are significant elements in North Africa and the ME that do support al Qaeda. I don't think we can deny this. What should give us hope is not denying this reality but acknowledging that there are even more significant elements that oppose al Qaeda and radical Salafism.

OMG! You Mean They LIED?!!11!

From FNC:

VIENNA – The U.N. nuclear atomic energy agency says that Iran is suspected of conducting secret experiments whose sole purpose can only be the development of nuclear arms.

The conclusion is contained in a restricted International Atomic Energy Agency report obtained by The Associated Press Tuesday, shortly after it was circulated to the IAEA's 35-nation board and to the U.N. Security Council. [...]

The report is the strongest sign yet that Iran seeks to build a nuclear arsenal, despite claims to the contrary.

As punishment, Obama has stated he will extend sanctions against Iran that have been in effect since 1979.

That'll teach them!

Why Liberals Hate E-Cigarettes

NY Times:

If you want a truly frustrating job in public health, try getting people to stop smoking. Even when researchers combine counseling and encouragement with nicotine patches and gum, few smokers quit.

But there’s a powerful group working against this innovation — and it’s not Big Tobacco. It’s a coalition of government officials and antismoking groups who have been warning about the dangers of e-cigarettes and trying to ban their sale.

Because it was never about your health it was about control over the little people. Because we're the government, we know best.

E-cigarettes bypass all this. So they've lost the control element. You've escaped the little track they had you on. And they can't have that now can they?

And I'm not even a fan of E-cigs, to me they are like little crack pipes piping in nico-crack. But to each his own.

#OccupyTerrorists - "You Don't Know the Half Of It"

Business owners near Zuccotti Park have had enough. And even more frustrating is that city officials - right up to Mayor Bloomberg's office - seem to be siding with the social terrorists giving businesses so much trouble.

Stacey Tzortzatos, the owner of a small bakery near Zuccotti Park, banned protesters after they destroyed the bathroom she was allowing them to use. In response to the ban, protesters are now threatening her:

She and her employees are terrified by the constant threats, which she said began after she demanded the protesters stop using her shop’s restroom as a place to bathe every day.

The final straw came about two weeks ago, when the demonstrators broke a bathroom sink, flooding the shop, and clogged the toilet -- setting her back $3,000 in damages. [...]

And on Friday, she said, a crazed squatter burst into the shop and demanded that workers fill a 10-gallon container of water.

When they refused, “he banged it on the ground and started yelling” and threatened the staff, she said.

“He said he was entitled to have it for free.”

Tzortzatos said the unsafe conditions begin at around 5 p.m. every day, when “they come from the park drunk, under the influence of something.

“They use one of our doorways as a bathroom, and we have to scrub it down every morning.

“I’ve had people come in here and yell, ‘Boycott! Boycott!’

“They unplugged my ATM machine and plugged in their computers,” Tzortzatos said.

But remember, these protests are "mostly peaceful." But at least they are no longer sticking to the "outside agitator" excuse.

Toronto Phobes to Separate Buddy and Pedro

Buddy and Pedro are two male African penguins at the Toronto Zoo who seem to have a connection — a very special, loving connection — that has zookeepers wondering if their relationship is more than just a bromance.
The Toronto Zoo has decided to separate these two and cage them up with females hoping to force them to propagate their endangered species against their will. There was no comment from the scientists as to if the penguins' homosexuality contributed to their status as an endangered species.

I've sent repeated emails asking them rename the pair Rusty and Vinnie and keep the happy couple together. All to no avail.

American Denies Trying to Join al Qaeda at Trial

Like many supporters of violent jihad, Barry Walter Bujol Jr. is representing himself at his trial. Yesterday he claimed that he wasn't traveling to Yemen to join al Qaeda. This despite:

"Bujol had emailed al-Awlaki seeking guidance regarding jihad. Al-Awlaki responded by emailing a terrorist manifesto entitled, '42 ways of supporting jihad,'" Heenan said....

Bujol used at least 14 email addresses to hide his activities from authorities and he advocated attacking U.S. facilities where military weapons were manufactured....

Authorities say Bujol made three unsuccessful attempts during February and March 2009 to travel to Yemen or the Middle East. On two of these attempts, he was arrested for either a traffic warrant or driving with a suspended license. In the other attempt, he tried to go through Canada but was denied admission into that country....

In the video, [Bujol] talked about his leaving the U.S. as being the "most important decision of my life" and that he's "doing good work." Near the end of the video and over an image of a person carrying a rocket-propelled grenade, he asks his wife to "pray for us ... pray for victory." The video also featured images of killed al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden and men kneeling down before AK-47 rifles.

Nope, nothing to see here folks. He says he's innocent, that's enough for me.

#OccupySanDiego Attacks Street Cart Vendors Who Refuse To Provide Free Food

But it was "mostly peaceful." A majority of the protesters present just peacefully watched...

From CBS Los Angeles:

Coffee cart owner Linda Jenson and hot dog cart operators Letty and Pete Soto said they initially provided free food and drink to demonstrators, but when they stopped, the protesters became violent.

And according to one city councilman, bodily fluids were used in the attacks.

“Both carts have had items stolen, have had their covers vandalized with markings and graffiti, as well as one of the carts had urine and blood splattered on it,” said Councilman Carl DeMaio.

The damages will likely require at least a complete cleaning if not a replacement of the cart covers, DeMaio said.

In addition to the attacks, the vendors also said they recently received death threats.

Since the carts were contaminated beyond use for their propose, the vendors are now out of a job. Their livelihoods destroyed by these selfish pigs protesting against corporations.

The entire #Occupy movement is nothing but a bunch of losers who, rather than working to succeed, want everyone to suffer equally. That is the epitome of socialism; capitalism allows those who work hard to succeed and to dictate their own lives, socialism stifles the success of individuals and keeps all people subservient to a big government.

#Occupy Threats Driving Out Business

What company thinking of moving to Texas or even Connecticut, for example, will be persuaded to stay in Manhattan after witnessing the mayor’s impotence here? How many trade groups or associations are going to move their big meetings from the nation’s capital after they’ve seen the lack of police protection at the convention center? Who’s going to sink money into Oakland—which clocked in below Flint, Mich., on a recent Forbes ranking of cities by job growth—when they see a mayor unwilling to call in the cops even after businesses have been openly attacked?
I'm just sitting here waiting on the DHS reports and warnings about violent left wing extremists tied to the #occupy movement.

How long do you reckon I'll have to wait on that?

Correction: Bin Laden Went for Gun, Killed 90 Seconds After SEAL Insertion

Dude, this is awesome:

The SEALs then dropped down from the roof, immediately penetrated the third floor, and hastily encountered bin Laden in his room. He was not standing still.

“He dived across the king-size bed to get at the AKSU rifle he kept by the headboard,” wrote Pfarrer in his book. It was at that moment, a mere 90 seconds after the SEALs first set foot on the roof, that two American bullets shattered bin Laden’s chest and head, killing a man who sought violence to the very end.

And why, pray tell, have we been told a different story?
politicians began leaking information from every orifice. And it was like a game of Chinese telephone. These guys didn’t know what they were talking about. Very few of them had even seen the video feed.”

Pfarrer suggests that much of the misinformation was likely born out of operational ignorance, even among those sitting in the White House...

“None of those guys, not a single one of them, had a background in special operations, with the exception of General Webb who was sitting there running a laptop,” Pfarrer went on. “No one knew or could even imagine what was going on inside the building. They didn’t know.”

Wait, I thought Obama killed Osama bin Laden? At least that's what I've been told. That somehow he was personally responsible.

Which is stupid. At best, he gave permission for the mission to go forward. But since all other presidents would give the same order, then why exactly is that especially commendable?

It's like giving permission to breathe. Such permission being laudable only under the assumption that some other alternate option was on the table. As if ordering bin Laden's capture or killing was some kind of moral dilemma.

It wasn't. All presidents would do the same thing. Even Jimmy Carter, for Chrissake.

In the wake of the mission to get bin Laden we heard a lot of things about the mission. One of them being that it took Obama some time to think about whether or not to allow the mission to go through. This bit of information -- that Obama hesitated -- is the most troubling to me and I hope that as the full story comes out that it will turn out not to be true.

To imagine that a President would actually find it difficult to answer the question as to whether or not we should go after bin Laden given the chance is to imagine a moral compass so broken that it no longer retains any legitimacy. But, again, I hope that isn't true.

Anyway, I can't wait for the book.

UPDATE: Topless Hot Chick Don't Support #OWS

Oleg over at The People's Cube had this to say about Howie's post on a bunch of hot topless Ukrainian chicks allegedly supporting the #OWS movement:

Sorry to say it, but this is a mistake.

I know this group - Femen - and I kind of like them. They are a bunch of crazy libertarian girls in Ukraine. That stunt has nothing to do with OWS or Russia - it was mislabeled and Jawa Report unfortunately fell for it. They are protesting against the fact that their group's account, pictures, and videos are being banned on the Internet - Google, YouTube, etc. - and they are for freedom of speech. They are dressed as if for the steam room in a bathhouse, because the word "ban" sounds like the Russian/Ukrainian "banya" - "bathhouse."

The thing is, I actually speak Russian which is pretty close to Ukrainian. But I guess I was having a hard time concentrating on what they were saying for some unknown and mysterious reason.

Thanks to Jon, who seems to be spending a lot of time watching the video.

Boko Haram Threat in Nigeria

LAGOS, Nigeria (AP) — A radical Muslim sect responsible for attacks that left more than 100 people dead in northeast Nigeria this week could bomb three luxury hotels frequented by foreigners in the oil-rich nation's capital, the U.S. Embassy warned Sunday.

The unusually specific warning from U.S. diplomats identified possible targets of the sect known locally as Boko Haram as the Hilton, Nicon Luxury and Sheraton hotels. Those hotels draw diplomats, politicians and Nigeria's business elite daily in the country's central capital of Abuja.

The embassy said the attack may come as Nigeria celebrates the Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha and that its diplomats and staff had been instructed to avoid those hotels.

Over 1000 Yemeni protesters jailed, tortured

The Yemeni Organization for Defending Rights and Freedoms (known as HOOD) launched an investigation into "disappeared" activists. HOOD, a credible organization, found that over 1000 protesters are jailed incommunicado and most likely enduring torture.

While many protesters were grabbed randomly, Yemeni bloggers, tweeters, facebookers and journalists are targeted in particular. Last Friday, millions* across Yemen marched, appealing for solidarity from people in the free world, but gained little western media coverage.

Its also likely some of the missing are dead. After nearly every protest, the state steals the wounded and corpses from hospitals and the streets to reduce the body count. At least three mass graves have been discovered since February.

One family came forward to report the Sanaa regime offered them $10,000 to accuse the opposition in their son's murder, after he was shot in the eye and killed by the security forces.

Yemen Post: HOOD human rights organization announced that more than 1000 youth activists are still illegally being held by the regime only because they chose to protest peacefully. Among the imprisoned are eight women the organization claims.

Youth leaders in Sana’a marched on Friday raising banners and calling the international community to help in release those imprisoned by government forces and save them from the torture they are going through.

Abdul Rahman Barman, the executive director of HOOD told Yemen Post, “the number of imprisoned youth is on the rise and the world must stand against the government for the sake of humanity.”

“These youth are being tortured and attacked fiercely. Some leave government custody with their minds lost from the torture,” added Barman.

Though the last week of protests in Yemen have been peaceful, security forces have killed more than 900 since January.

Earlier witness testimony published here at Jawa detailed brutal torture of prisoners, including children as young as 12, at the hands of Yemeni security forces.

Violence has increased since the UN Security Council passed resolution 2014 two weeks ago strongly urging Saleh to step down. Its par for the course.

During 1994's civil war, President Ali Abdullah Saleh ignored two security council resolutions calling for the immediate end to the random shelling of Aden City. Saleh's utter disregard for the resolutions and the forced imposition of unity on south Yemen in 1994 gives rise to southern Yemenis' claims that they are "occupied" by the northern Saleh regime.

*Yemen has about 25 million citizens. About half are under 15. The marches demanding regime change take place across the nation, not just the capital, and draw the majority of Yemenis to the streets, weekly. Hundreds of thousands of youth activists and others are living in protest squares since February, refusing to go home until Saleh and his regime are deposed.

Michael Moore Claims To Be A 99%er With Less Than $50 Million Dollars

A Denver reporter confronts Moore, ironically, at an appearance to plug his next book:

CelebrityNetWorth lays out Michael Moore's worth (emphasis from website):

1) Moore’s biggest three movies have grossed over $300 million at the box office worldwide.

2) Fahrenheit 911 made $230 million in theaters and $3 million in DVD sales. After the theaters take their 50% cut, we’re left with $130 million. Take out another $50 million for marketing, production and distribution and Moore is left with $80 million.

3) Moore negotiated a deal with Miramax which guarantees him 27% of all of his film’s net revenues.

4) Moore was also given 50% of all profits from Sicko

5) Moore is a bestselling author who receives 7 figure advances.

In Moore's defense, as one of the commenter's pointed out at CelebrityNetWorth, there's really no telling how many millions Moore has burned through at Dunkin' Donuts. So, maybe he is a 99%er.

On a side note, a few weeks ago I posted a video of Roseanne Barr stating rich people should be beheaded. CelebrityNetWorth also saw the video (not necessarily at The Jawa Report, but apparently the same video posted somewhere).

In addition to the transcript from the video, CelebrityNetWorth posted Roseanne's net worth, which sparked some angry tweets from the real Roseanne Barr:

CelebrityNetWorth replied to the tweets with an open letter, which is quite funny. To date, she has not responded.

I just wanted to mention this because any website that can reduce a hypocrite like Roseanne to such inane blather has my respect. Well played, CNW, well played.

Good News: Nigerian al Qaeda Types Kill Dozens

This is why I'm the least disappointed person in the world over Obama's decision to send military advisers into Africa:

A terror group linked with al Qaeda's affiliates in Africa has launched a series of attacks in northern Nigeria that have killed scores of people. The recent attacks launched by Boko Haram included suicide assaults, roadside bombs, and gunmen, and took place in several cities and towns in the north.
These are some bad people who will eventually turn their sites abroad.

So, Nigeria made concessions to the Islamists in the north by agreeing to let provinces adopt sharia law. But that's never quite enough, is it?

A common argument for including Islamists in the political process is that the demands of democracy will moderate their positions and force them to eschew violence. This is commonly advocated in foreign policy circles as a reason why groups like the Muslim Brotherhood should be embraced.

But if Nigeria is a case study of this position, then do we that see that the most hardline Islamists -- the ones who were most likely to be violent in the first place -- will never be satisfied with sharing power and moderating sharia? And if so, then what might this tell us about a country like Egypt?

Just something to think about.

#OccupyOakland Cheers "Outside Agitators"

#OccupyOakland rampage, destroying windows and other property. While the protesters insist the vandals are "outside agitators", notice how they collectively cheer when a window shatters.

To their credit, a few individuals try to stop the vandalism, but they are ignored. At least one is even attacked and beaten with sticks.

(Hat Tip: Ironic Surrealism)

I was reading through the video comments last night. It appears many have been removed because, when I was reading them, a majority of them supported the actions in the video. The reasoning was, damaging property is not a violent act, therefore this was a peaceful march and that's the way all #Occupy protests should be conducted.

A few of those commenters were challenged by some questioning the attacks against people attempting to stop the vandals. The response? Those attempting to stop the vandals were at fault for defending property belonging to corporations.

That's the mentality of these #Occupy thugs. "We'll destroy what we want and, if you don't like it, YOU are the enemy."

Yemen gov't aided Gimto detainee al Nashiri before the USS Cole attack, sheltered him after

And other oddities:

The latest news on Gitmo detainee Abd al Rahim al Nashiri, in US custody since 2002, is that the Military Commission can not confirmthat he will be released if found not guilty. Its not in the Military Commission's jurisdiction to make those kind of pledges. Considering Nashiri was water boarded, its questionable if any of his statements will be allowed at trial, but prosecutors are confident that there is enough other evidence for a conviction.

Al Nashiri is charged with aiding the al Qaeda attack on the USS Cole in Aden port in 2000. The bombing killed 17 US service members and severely wounded dozens more. Al Nashiri selected the targets, the timing and coordinated the operatives. However, unexplored for a decade is the level of complicity by top Yemeni government officials and the failure of US intelligence to get a warning to the ship.

Prior to the attack on the USS Cole, Yemen's then Interior Minister Hussain Arab issued al Nashiri a travel pass that enabled him to pass Yemen's many internal checkpoints without search or question in the months preceding the terror attack. Al Nashiri also had a weapons permit issued by the Interior Ministry. These official documents were presented in Yemeni court during the 2005 trials of other conspirators.

In an interesting coincidence, Yemeni President Saleh ordered several top officials, including Interior Minister Arab, to travel from the capital Sana'a to Aden the night before the USS Cole was bombed there.

Saleh denied that Yemen was notified of the impending arrival of the warship. According to Centcom commander, General Zinni, in Congressional testimony, US naval officials followed the standard procedures for refueling including a two week advance notification to the host port.

It was also around two weeks prior to the attack that the military data mining group Able Danger and separately DOD analyst Kie Fallis picked up intel streams about an impending attack. Both made several attempts to obtain authorization to issue official warnings to no avail.

Kie Fallis quit the day of the Cole bombing. Able Danger's Anthony Shaffer's information never made it into the 9/11 report, although he tried. DOD later revoked Shaffer's health insurance and forced him out over a "stolen" pen that he reported taking as a souvenir as a teen.

The NSA had the "Yemen hub" (a phone line in Yemen used by al Qaeda operatives for calls to and from bin Laden and others) under heavy surveillance for over a year prior to the Cole bombing, and for about a year after. There was a satellite trained on the house in Sanaa 24/7. Oddly, the NSA never learned of or reported on the USS Cole plot.

The CIA withheld information from the FBI about an al Qaeda summit, a high level meeting in Malaysia in January 2000, at which both the Cole and 9/11 were discussed. (See former federal investigator Ali Soufan's excellent book, The Black Banners for more.)

Yemeni officials failed to cooperate with Soufan and other FBI agents in Yemen investigating the bombing. Some like the head of Yemen's Political Security Organization in Aden, Hussain al Ansi, engaged in active misdirection and stonewalling.

Ten terrorists awaiting trial for the Cole attack escaped Yemeni prison in 2002 and after surrendering, their trials resulted in sentences of five to ten years. Most escaped prison again in 2006. By 2008, all those convicted in the attack had their sentences commuted and were free. Al Nashiri, in US custody, was sentenced to death in Yemen in absentia in 2005.

The Jurist reports the Yemeni government sheltered (and lied for) al Nashiri after the bombing. The Congressional Research Service details the Cole bombers' releases and notes that, according to the Washington Post, Al Nashiri had spent several months before his capture under "high-level protection" by the Yemeni government.

After the USS Cole attack, Interior Minister Arab was transferred, appointed by Yemeni President Saleh to the Shura Council. Arab resigned and joined the Pro-Revolutionary Military Council in March 2011.

Occupy Wall Street Buys Domain

Jammie Wearing Fool:

Amazing how these deep thinkers forgot to go and register a domain for $9 a year. Instead they pay $8000. Fucking idiots. The guy who sold it to them is a real gem.
The domain is being sold by Mark R. Ellis, 53, of Sarasota, Florida, who makes a living buying and selling domain names. He registered on Sept. 23, six days after the occupation of Zuccotti Park, and listed it on at least two domain resale markets for $10,000.
Well yeah lets hope they do better with that site than they did with this blog.

And Google let them have that free for nothing. Its not so much how much you spend. Like I said before, idiots.

Makes me wonder what's wrong with Surely that was cheaper and was registered in August?

A digital divide developing there is.

Totally Huge Jump in CO2 in 2010

Of course the blame falls on those pesky poor people in poor countries.

The global output of heat-trapping carbon dioxide jumped by the biggest amount on record, the U.S. Department of Energy calculated, a sign of how feeble the world's efforts are at slowing man-made global warming.

The new figures for 2010 mean that levels of greenhouse gases are higher than the worst case scenario outlined by climate experts just four years ago.

....In 1990, developed countries produced about 60 percent of the world's greenhouse gases, now it's probably less than 50 percent, Reilly said.
"We really need to get the developing world because if we don't, the problem is going to be running away from us," Weaver said. "And the problem is pretty close from running away from us."

I know those poor countries need to totally stop building volcanoes as tourist attractions. They are pretty and all but they put out a lot of gas.

The 1% Of #OccupyWallStreet

For all the bad (and false) publicity the Tea Party got for being a bunch of racists, it turns out the #Occupy movement is more white and less black than the Tea Party ever was.

A new internal poll being proudly circulated within #Occupy camps indicates only 1.6% of #Occupy protesters are black:

occupy-wall-street poll.jpg

By comparison, a 2010 Gallup poll shows the Tea Party had 6% black representation and 79% white (first column):

tea party demographic.jpg

The second column is that of the general population. Both protest movements have a higher percent of whites and a lower percent of blacks, but the Tea Party more closely reflects mainstream America than the #OccupyWallStreet crowds do.

One amusing side note about the #OccupyWallStreet poll - the poll was conducted online by and yet, they could only get 93% support for the protests? I bet could get more support for the Tea Party if they had a poll... Just saying...

Men's Wearhouse, Before And After

Before, showing solidarity with the #OccupyOakland protesters:

And after:

Apparently, the sign didn't work. #OccupyOakland protesters still destroyed the window on November 2nd. The question is, did Men's Wearhouse take the sign down because it no longer supported the movement? That's unlikely.

Probably the best explanation is by The Prudence Paine Papers:

Why would they take down the sign, when leaving it up would have shown their continued solidarity with rioting anti-capitalists?

Perhaps Men’s Wearhouse didn’t want to shame its uncouth, uncivilized comrades. Perhaps it wants to act as if it never cast its lot with the barbarians. Those people are gonna need a lot more than a new suit to take their place in polite society.

Cornhole Watch: Mohamud Abdi Yusuf of St. Louis Pleads Guilty to Supporting al-Shabaab Terrorist Group

ST. LOUIS—The United States Attorney’s Office announced today that Mohamud Abdi Yusuf, 31, pled guilty to providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization.

According to court documents, from February 2008 through at least July 2009, Yusuf, conspired with others to provide money to al Shabaab, which was designated by the U.S. State Department as a foreign terrorist organization in February 2008. Yusuf transferred money to al Shabaab under fictitious names and telephone numbers utilizing money remitting businesses operating in the United States.

Al Shabaab is a terrorist organization based in Somalia, whose objective is the overthrow of the Transitional Federal Government (TFG), eliminating the African Union support for TFG, and the imposing Shari’a law in Somalia. Al Shabaab has engaged in, and used, violence, intimidation, and acts of terrorism in Somalia and elsewhere to further its objectives.

Yusuf admitted to soliciting money from inside and outside the Eastern District of Missouri and coordinating the transfer of the money to al-Shabaab. Members of the conspiracy frequently communicated in coded language as they planned the means by which they transferred money to al Shabaab members and affiliates in Somalia.

The rest of the press release is below the fold.

Hat Tip: Zionist Internet Spy [number redacted].

Duane Mohamed Diriye, who is a resident of Kenya, and Abdi Mahdi Hussein, who worked for a money remitting business in Minneapolis, were also indicted along with Yusuf on October 21, 2010. Diriye remains at large; Hussein has appeared in court and his case is still pending.

Yusuf entered guilty pleas to one count of conspiracy to provide material support to a designated terrorist organization and three counts of providing material support to a designated terrorist organization. Each count carries a maximum penalty of fifteen years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000 In determining the actual sentences, a Judge is required to consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, which provide recommended sentencing ranges. United States District Judge Henry E. Autrey set Yusuf’s case for sentencing on January 31, 2012.

“Since 9/11, this is the first international terrorism case prosecuted in Eastern Missouri,” said Special Agent in Charge Dennis L. Baker. He continued, “At least 20 American citizens from other parts of the U.S. have already traveled to Somalia to join al Shabaab, which is responsible for assassinating Somali peace activists, international aid workers, numerous civil society figures, and journalists. Senior leaders of al Shabaab are affiliated with al Qaeda.”

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Joint Terrorism Task Force, in conjunction with task force agencies. Assistant United States Attorneys Matthew Drake and Howard Marcus will be handling the case, in conjunction with the Counterterrorism Section of the Justice Department’s National Security Division.

In the video below, Brazilian drug enforcement officers bump the wing of a drug plane attempting to take off. The bump breaks the wing off and all the drug runners are arrested.

Had a U.S. Border Patrol officer done something like this, he would have been arrested for using unnecessary force, the drug runners would have been given immunity and amnesty in exchange for their testimony, and the Border Patrol agent sentence to prison.

Sandcrawler PSA: Never Bring A Crowd of Hippies to a Gunfight

OAKLAND -- Oakland developer Phil Tagami is used to working behind the scenes to broker some of the biggest deals in town. Late Wednesday, he was using different persuasive skills - holding a loaded shotgun to scare away rioters trying to get into a downtown building.

"We had people who attempted to break into our building," the landmark Rotunda Building on Frank Ogawa Plaza outside City Hall, Tagami said Thursday. He grabbed a shotgun that he usually keeps at home, went down to the ground floor and "discouraged them," he said.

"I was standing there and they saw me there, and I lifted it - I didn't point it - I just held it in my hands," Tagami said. "And I just racked it, and they ran."

Yemen revolution going strong

I don't know how the protesters find the self discipline to remain peaceful when state snipers, thugs and artillery attack the protest squares around the country with such regularity, but their goal is a civil (non-theocratic, non-military) state. And there's millions, click below.

- Airstrikes on Arhab leave 120 civilians killed, 340 wounded

- Nationwide slaughter since UN SC council resolution 2014 called for Saleh to transfer power

- One million demand regime change

Yemen Post: Several Million of Yemeni gathered nationwide in the streets of Yemen yesterday, demanding the fall of the regime and Ali Abdullah Saleh's trial as they say the president is continuing to murder his people.

Protesters had spell out "butcher" across their chest in red ink in denunciation of president Saleh's many crimes. "He's using snipers to gun down women and children, Sana'a and Taiz are under shelling attacks everyday…Saleh is killing Yemeni and the World stands silent…We will not," said Mohamed Hassan Said a defected officer.

In Sana'a, the capital, a funeral march was organized to bury the bodies of the victims of the revolution amongst whom was 4 year-old little Waffa. While carrying the coffins the crowd was chorusing anti-regime slogan, asking the international community to bear witness of the crimes committed against peaceful Yemeni people.

And in spite of the anger and the sorrow which is crushing hearts, Yemen went on chanting: "Peaceful, peaceful".

Also one million hand prints for a civil state: Red is for the people murdered and blue is for peace. (Link here.)

#Occupy Holds Shredded Paper Drive

Its not the crime, its the cover-up.

Officials with the revamped ACORN office in New York -- operating as New York Communities for Change -- have fired staff, shredded reams of documents and told workers to blame disgruntled ex-employees for leaking information in an effort to explain away a report last week on the group’s involvement in Occupy Wall Street protests, according to sources.

NYCC also is installing surveillance cameras and recording devices at its Brooklyn offices, removing or packing away supplies bearing the name ACORN and handing out photos of Fox News staff with a stern warning not to talk to the media, the sources said.

Its almost as if there were some community organizer behind this?

Justin Bieber Was Like Totally Raped Dude

First just let me say that anytime the words sex and arena restroom are combined in the same sentence, bad things are bound to happen.

A woman who claims Justin Bieber fathered her baby in a backstage bathroom could be investigated for having sex with a minor because the singer was 16 at the time.

While no crime has been reported, Los Angeles police Cmdr. Andrew Smith told The Associated Press on Thursday that the department could investigate after Mariah Yeater filed the paternity suit against the teen heartthrob in San Diego Superior Court.

"If it's brought to our attention, of course we'll look into it," Smith said.
Yeater had just turned 19 when she says she and Bieber, then 16, had a brief sexual encounter after one of the singer's concerts at Staples Center. She said she gave birth to a boy in July and believes Bieber is the father because there were no other possible men she had sex with at that time.

Of course the press and all the Bieber fans want her prosecuted because it just couldn't have happened or did I'm not sure. But I do see evidence of a crime here, illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. Lots and lots of alcohol.

Oh and congratulations Mr. Bieber, I think.

Texas Judge Videotaped Beating Daughter

Is it really any surprise we see so much appeasement and indifference coming from our political leaders when it comes to sharia law? The very misogyny we find so repulsive in Islam and similar cultures is in our own backyard, sometimes being practiced by the very leaders who are charged with protecting us from such barbaric ideology.

From FNC (emphasis mine):

Hillary Adams, 23, says the outpouring of support and encouragement she's received since posting the 2004 video online last week is tempered by the sadness that it's her father lashing her 17 times with a belt and threatening to beat her "into submission." The 8-minute video had been watched nearly 2 million times by Thursday morning.

Even worse, her father is a Judge for Family Court and, just in the past year, has ruled in more than 349 family court cases with at least 50 of them involving children and abuse allegations.

Irony: #OccupyOakland Protester Compares Protest To Boston Tea Party And Refers To Scott Olsen As Crispus Attucks

So, now they're the Tea Party?

From KATU:

U.S. Army veteran Eddie Ebacher, who served from 1976-1981, compared Olsen to Crispus Attucks, the first person shot to death during the Boston Massacre in 1770.

"The last time we had this kind of sentiment in this country, it was the Boston Tea Party," Ebacher said. "I'm sorry (Olsen) had to be injured that way, but I guess he's a martyr for our cause."

FYI, The Boston Massacre, when Attucks was shot to death, is not the same event as the Boston Tea Party, which took place several years later.

Al Qaeda Treats Suspected Spies Pretty Much Like You'd Expect

The next time someone tries to equivocate waterboarding with the kind of torture done by our enemies, please direct them to this:

Ayub Khan was on his way home when masked men, dressed in black and carrying AK-47 assault rifles, pulled him out of a minibus on a summer evening in Pakistan's north-western tribal district of North Waziristan.

For the next 15 days he was tortured, and threatened with execution if he did not admit that he was a US spy providing information that led CIA-operated unmanned aircraft to their targets.

Khan, a pseudonym, managed to convince his captors that he was not a spy and was released with broken bones and holes in his feet, made by an electric drill.

Saudi Arabia's New Crown Prince Nayef: anti al Qaeda, pro-Wahabbi

Following the death of Saudi Crown Prince Sultan on Oct 22, King Abdullah appointed Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, Interior Minister since 1975, as Crown Prince and next in line to the throne.

Prince Nayef is best known in the US for spear heading the crack down on al Qaeda that drove many terrorists to find refuge in Yemen. The ramped up Saudi CT posture after 2003 included mass arrests (including detention without trial and torture), a multi-pronged jihaddi rehabilitation program, increased security measures including a border fence with Yemen. A media campaign designed to shame al Qaeda included televised condemnations from the terrorists' families that increased social pressure.

Nayef's successes against AQ prompted Yemen's AQAP to target him for assassination during a feigned surrender in Aug 09. Nayef suffered only light injuries from a PETN bomb designed by Ibrahim al Asiri (still at large in Yemen), whose brother was the suicide bomber.

Nayef is also known as a "conservative," and in Saudi Arabia that means thwarting popular efforts toward civil rights and governmental accountability. Nayef is a strong supporter of the supremacist, takfiri Wahabbi doctrine and infrastructure. Domestically he undercut efforts at incremental reforms, including women driving or voting, as well as the continued repression of Saudi Shia's demands for equal rights.

Nayef served as the de facto head of Saudi Arabia when both the King and Prince Sultan faced medical issues over the last years. Nayef signed off on the deployment of the Saudi military to Bahrain to augment efforts the violent crack down on Bahrain's Arab Spring (and its Shia majority.)

In Yemen, Saudi Arabia overtly committed substantial war crimes during the Saada War, which was fought near the Yemen/Saudi border. The kingdom provided billions of dollars to President Saleh, and Saudi fighter jets conducted months of air strikes in Yemen, aimed at the annihilation of the Shia Houthi rebels.

These well documented of Saudi violations of international law include indiscriminately bombing villages and civilian infrastructure, denying border passage for humanitarian aid and returning Yemeni refugees to the war zone (refouling).

Wikileaks cables reveals that the Saudis were well aware that Saudi airstrikes in Yemen caused substantial civilian fatalities, and successfully leveraged the bombing of a Yemeni hospital and other mistakes to obtain satellite imagery from the US. The Saudi's aggressive posture toward the Houthis was largely fueled by fear of its own repressed Shia minority.

Earlier this year, Nayef and his son assumed control over Saudi Arabia's patronage network in Yemen, through which the kingdom distributes billions in direct payments to Yemeni Sheikhs, clerics and politicians as well as Wahabbi institutes and organizations.

TFE: Saudi Arabian King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud has appointed Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud as the new crown prince, the Royal Court said in a statement issued last Friday, signaling an orderly process of future succession in the world's largest oil exporter.

The selection of 78-year-old Prince Nayef to succeed Prince Sultan as the new crown prince of Saudi Arabia ushers in the beginning of what promises to be a season of big changes at the top of the royal family and cabinet, all set in the midst of the Arab awakening. Newly appointed Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud has been minister of the interior since 1975...

Earlier this year Nayef publicly admonished a member of the mainly consultative Shura Council who had called for a review of the ban on women driving.

"This means less for Saudi Arabia's external relations than it does internally because a lot of people there, especially women, are apprehensive that Nayef will close back down some of the space that Abdullah has opened up around individual citizens," said Thomas Lippman, a Saudi Arabia specialist at the Middle East Institute in Washington...

Nayef has strong support among Saudi Arabia's Wahhabi clerics. But he is said to have little sympathy for political Islamist groups, like the Muslim Brotherhood, which he views as a threat to the ruling family's grip on power...In the run-up to Saudi Arabia's 2005 municipal elections, it was Nayef who decided that women should not be allowed to vote. Scholars say he may pursue policies that expand his base of support within security services and Islamist groups.

'Mainly Peaceful'

The media is reporting #OccupyOakland protests as "mainly peaceful". That exact phrase is being used by several media outlets.

I guess they got the memo. Oh wait, here are a few original descriptions of the day. This one says "mostly peaceful." Here's a "largely" peaceful. And this one says "predominantly" peaceful. Check out the big brain on Brett! I guess those thesauruses come in handy after all!

This one just uses "peaceful" and goes on to tell readers "no injuries or property damage were reported." Really? Let's see that "peaceful" protest with no property damage:

#OccupyOakland protester smashes a window a a Well Fargo bank. But remember! There was no property damage reported! Gee, I wonder who'll pay for that? Certainly not the freeloading freaks. And who brings a hammer to a "peaceful" protest anyway? The Tea Party protesters never did.

#OccupyOakland protesters broke into a privately-owned, vacant building. They claimed it as their own. Of course, they didn't pay for it, they haven't paid taxes on it, yet they think they're entitled to it.

#OccupyOakland protesters bang on vehicles and refuse to allow drivers to proceed. Protesters, in essence, were illegally detaining drivers, violating them of their rights.

#OccupyOakland protesters climb on trucks, preventing the truck drivers from hauling their load. For people protesting the lack of jobs, they are certainly doing their part to harm working people.

#OccupyOakland protester stands in front of a burning barricade. Protesters built the barricade and set it on fire to deter police.

#OccupyOakland protester defaces a supermarket building. Who'll pay for that? Not them. The rest of us will pay for it through higher prices.

#OccupyOakland Ex-Marine Critically Injured Was Struck By Object Thrown By Other Protesters

A few days ago, an Oakland protester admitted they were hurling bottles and rocks at police:

During the melee between protesters and police, ex-Marine Scott Olsen was seriously injured by a blow to the head. Protesters insist he was struck by a police “flash-bang” grenade. But investigation suggests it wasn't the police who caused his injury:

The Sheriff’s Department said an internal investigation unit is reviewing the incident, but it’s unlikely the identified deputies caused Olsen’s injury. Spokeswoman Eileen Hirst said 35 of the 37 Sheriff’s Department personnel on site for the raid were not carrying projectiles, and the two who were equipped with them did not fire.

The projectile was thrown by other protesters, not the police. Now they are shown to be liars.

But the @OccupyOakland protesters won't let truth get in the way of their propaganda. They are still posting personal information about officers present during the incident.

France: Muslim Youths Attack Christians Leaving Festival

From the video description:

Muslims have attacked Christians attending a Catholic celebration in southern France.

The Joyeuse Union Don Bosco [Joyous Union Don Bosco] takes place in Nîmes, at the Sanctuary of Our Lady the Virgin of Santa Cruz, built by French people repatriated from the Algerian city of Oran following Algerian independence. These people were driven out of the place they grew up in by Muslim aggression. Now they face it in France too!

After a day of welcoming and reunions, around 7 pm, the participants were leaving in their cars and vehicles when "young Arab immigrants" from the city started to throw stones at the vehicles descending from the sanctuary.

The local police, whose station is in this area, were immediately notified and the event organisers had to arrange a diversion to another route to protect the occupants of the vehicles from the savage attacks which continued.

As for the press, other than a brief honest article in "la Provence", there was no mention of the "intifada" (war of stones) attacks against the Christian religious community at Nîmes.

Abu Izzadeen (Trevor Brooks) Arrested Again

Trevor "Abu Izzadeen" Brooks

Anjem Choudary is claiming that Abu Izzadeen, born Trevor Brooks, has been arrested. The announcement was made on Facebook:

Abu Izzadeen has just been arrested by the khnzeer police. Please make dua that he is released asap
No official announcement has been made by either the British police or by Muslims Against Crusades, the group run by Choudary and Izzadeen. But other Facebook friends of Izzadeen are making the same claim.

Izzadeen served 3 1/2 years for supporting terrorism. Recently Izzadeen's website at Muslims Against Crusades website featured an article asking whether the assassination of President Barrack Obama was legal. This image of the President as he's about to be killed by a sniper rifle was used to promote the article.

If any one knows anything about Izzadeen's arrest, please let us know.

Update by Howie 11/03/2011: Express reports that Izzadeen was arrested for violating the conditions of his probation.

Extremists are known to be planning an event entitled Hell For Heroes – mocking the charity for injured soldiers Help For Heroes – outside the Royal Albert Hall.

It is the same location where a poppy was burned last year, prompting widespread outrage. Demonstrator Emdadur Choudhury, 26, who set fire to the poppy, was fined £50. It is understood Izzadeen, of Leyton, east London, allegedly breached rules over telling police about his home and work addresses.

The protesters, who have sought permission from police to hold the rally, aim to disrupt the minute’s silence held in honour of the war dead.

Is Obama the Worst President Ever?

Yeah, it's kind of looking like it. At least, in the modern era.

Thanks to Tom Elia for the chart. I added a couple of labels so that it would be easier to compare George W. Bush, labeled the "worst President ever" by many on the Left, with Barrack Obama, thought to be America's salvation by many of those same people.

And, to be fair, the recession Obama inherited is the worst one when using the measure of relative unemployment (relative because other recession were worse in absolute unemployment). But his recovery is also either the worst or tied for first place.

Soldier Arrested for Espionage

An Army MP, Specialist William Millay of Owensboro, KY, has been arrested at a base in Alaska for "espionage". I've looked at a number of news reports about the matter and none of them provide any detail into the nature of his alleged act of treason.

The only details I've been able to find are that the arrest was not related to the Wikileaks case and that both the military and FBI were involved in the investigation.

Other than that, nada.

I really have no speculation on this other than to state what is obvious about most cases of treason and espionage. Two underlying factors are common. First, traitors are often motivated by a sense that they are smarter than their superiors and therefore what they are doing is really in the best interests of the country. Second, sheer greed where the traitor knows he's doing wrong but just wants the money.

So, if any one hears any more details I'd be interested in an email update.

Linsay Lohan Gets Another 30 Days in the Hole

A judge on Wednesday ordered Lindsay Lohan returned to jail for 30 days for violating probation and put the troubled actress on a strict calendar of community service and psychological counseling.

The arrangements that have been made just put an endless stream of hurdles that everyone knows she will never clear. It would have been faster, better and way way way cheaper.

#OccupyWallStreet: Former Soviet Citizen Confronts Protesters About Socialism

I can't believe how stupid these people are. Even with a public education, they should know the people in North Korea are more oppressed than the people in free South Korea. Yet, on camera, they insist otherwise.

These people should be forced to live there.

Tea Party Versus #Occupy Checklist

I made this checklist to compare the Tea Party to the #Occupy crowds. All conduct listed can be confirmed at the links listed or by simple Google searches.

Halp! I'm Being Oppressed!

Texas: This mansion has five bedrooms and, from the looks of it, plenty of space for a drum circle. Its economically disadvantaged occupant was arrested while “occupying” Wall Street on October 5.

Daily Caller:

Many “Occupy Wall Street” protesters arrested in New York City reside in more luxurious homes than some of their rhetoric might suggest, a Daily Caller investigation has found.

...Some of the homes where “Occupy” arrestees reside, viewed through Google Maps and the Multiple Listing Service real estate database, are the definition of opulence.

Man these guys need to share the wealth and redistribute a one of those homes to the less fortunate among us.

Namely me. Its unfair that they can afford to camp out and smoke dope all day long while I have to work all day for the man. Its only fair that after a long day of slaving over a hot keyboard that I get to relax in one of these fine homes.

All I need to know is what's in the fridge and where's the, you know, stash?

Georgia Ricin Plot

Four elderly men in Georgia hatch plot to attack government buildings and officials. They obtained several ingredients for ricin as well as explosives. Bizarre. From the available info, they seemed to have a militia, anti-government mindset and are not jihiddis.

ABC: Federal agents arrested four suspected members of a Georgia militia on charges of plotting attacks with toxins and explosives in Atlanta and against unnamed government officials.

The four, who authorities arrested Tuesday, were expected to appear in federal court in Gainesville, Ga., on Wednesday afternoon.

They were part of a group that also tried to obtain an unregistered explosive device and sought out the complex formula to produce ricin, a biological toxin that can be lethal in small doses, according to a federal complaint....

"We'd have to blow the whole building, like Timothy McVeigh," Thomas said during the Atlanta trip, referring to the man executed for bombing a federal building in Oklahoma City, the indictment states.

Adams, meanwhile, is accused of showing an informant the formula to make ricin and identifying the ways to obtain the ingredients.

Update: FBI PR: According to the criminal complaints, federal search warrants and documents in the public record, Thomas, Roberts, Crump, Adams and others were members of a militia organization and began participating in clandestine meetings of a fringe “covert” operations team starting in approximately March 2011. During these meetings, the complaints charge that the men discussed multiple criminal activities, ranging from murder; theft; manufacturing and using toxic agents; and assassinations in an effort to undermine federal and state government and to advance their interests.

Finally: Narcotics in Lolipop Form

My instincts are to go with sarcasm: narcotics in lolipop form, what could possibly go wrong?

But to be honest, this is awesome. What rational person would prefer a shot to a lolipop?

The Fentanyl lollipop offers medics a faster way to ease the pain of a battlefield injury as the drug can be absorbed more rapidly through a lozenge in the mouth than from a needle injected into a muscle, Captain Block said.

"The absorption is actually faster through the blood vessels in the mouth. You don't have to worry about shock which will constrict the blood vessels in a major muscle in a leg or an arm," Captain Block added.

After US Marine special operations forces used the new sucker successfully, commanders ordered the lollipop to be distributed to medics throughout the Marine Corps, he said.

The only improvement I might suggest is getting the Tootsie-Pop people to collaborate. How many licks does it take to get totally wasted?

Julian Assmaggot Loses Extradition Appeal

I've seen the allegations against Julian Assange and, frankly, they seem rather weak. In most countries what he did probably wouldn't rise to the level of a crime but would be downgraded to, "I can't believe I was that drunk."

But I don't care. The guy deserves much worse than anything the Swedes can throw at him. It's karma:

Julian Assange has lost his appeal against extradition to Sweden, where the founder of the whistleblowing website WikiLeaks faces allegations of sexual assault.

Britain's High Court Wednesday rejected Assange's appeal against the European arrest warrant that Swedish authorities filed against him last year. That means that the Australian could be extradited to Sweden by month's end, although he is likely to try to take his case to Britain’s Supreme Court.

Thanks to Kenny.

Muhammad Out of Job

French caption reads....
100 lashes if you don't die laughing!
image from Charlie Hedbo

The prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has joined the ranks of the unemployed again. Just one day after being named guest editor of the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hedbo, the paper's office was destroyed by fire.

Apparently some Islamophobes feared Muhammad's new position would give him too much power and decided to destroy the paper once and for all.

The phobes hurled back charges that Muhammad's own followers had burned the office calling it an inside job.

When asked for comment Muhammad said that the suggestion that his followers would destroy property was outlandish, "Islam is a religion of peace," he was quoted as saying by several major news outlets.

Update: Thanks to Whocaresanymore for the above image.

Iran Joins #Occupy

Iran's Basij Launches Website To Cover Occupy Wall Street Movement.

The Occupy Wall Street Movement has found an unlikely fan: Iran's government Basij force, whose thuggish members are thought to have been heavily involved in the crackdown that followed the disputed reelection of Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad in 2008.

In their latest move in support of the movement, a number . of young Basij members have launched a website that purports to cover news and developments about the movement in order to "fill in the gap by Western media."

What gaps do they want to fill in? Well if you look at known members facebook pages....

I know what's so bad about that? it gets worse.... Note the Obama poster with the O spelled with a noose.

Also a note of irony in the fact that the Basij were instrumental in quelling protests in Iran.

Human Rights Watch has reported that the Basij belong to the "Parallel institutions" (nahad-e movazi), "the quasi-official organs of repression that have become increasingly open in crushing student protests, detaining activists, writers, and journalists in secret prisons, and threatening pro-democracy speakers and audiences at public events." Under the control of the Office of the Supreme Leader these groups set up arbitrary checkpoints around Tehran, uniformed police often refraining from directly confronting these plainclothes agents. "Illegal prisons, which are outside of the oversight of the National Prisons Office, are sites where political prisoners are abused, intimidated, and tortured with impunity."
In Iran the Basij job is to oppress the very rights of expression that the protesters on Wall Street are exercising freely here.

Good News: New Libyan "Government" Posts al Qaeda Video

Img. credit: Aaron Zelin

I haven't spoken much about the uprising in Libya because, frankly, any one who wanted to kill Gadhafi -- friend or foe -- is someone I'm not going to be too critical of before the deed is done. Moreover, the idea that Islamists wouldn't be part of any coalition opposed to Gadhafi is unimaginable. But being part of a coalition speaks little about an overall movement.

So, it's not that I have been skeptical of reports that al Qaeda sympathizers were in the midst of those opposed to the Libyan regime -- clearly, they are -- it's just that I didn't think that this was necessarily an indication that the whole movement was tainted.

But this report over at al-Wasat is pretty disturbing:

the admin of the official Facebook page of the Libyan uprising (17 February Intifada) posted AQIM’s most recent video message from Shaykh al-Hasan Rashid al-Bulaydi. This is no doubt a worrying sign.
Indeed. And combined with that old al Qaeda in Iraq flag being flown in parts of Libya then I think it's time to worry.

#OccupyWallStreet: Rape And No Justice For All

I wasn't sure what to say about this, so I'll just quote Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit: "Good Lord, they're animals."

Deaf man raped at #OccupyWallStreet:

If I lived near these protests and became a victim of one of these animals, I would sue the Zuccotti Park owners and the city of New York. The protests have created a very dangerous environment and the authorities are allowing it to continue. That makes them, at least partially, responsible.

Obama supports them.

Pelosi blesses them.

@AlecBaldwin thinks they're "good".

The Zombie Hypocrisy

This image has the left outraged:

obama zombie.jpg
Zombie Obama

NBC Washington reports:

“This is a disgusting and violent portrayal of the president of the United States,” said Democratic Party of Virginia spokesman Brian Coy.

Gov. Bob McDonnell, through spokesman J. Tucker Martin, called on the Loudoun GOP to “apologize for their actions, and to immediately ensure that such imagery is never used again.”

Yet, there was no outcry when Republicans and Tea Party members were portrayed as zombies AND graphically killed in a recent first person shooter game called "Tea Party Zombies Must Die!":

The gruesome game, created by StarvingEyes Advergaming, is billed as "first-person shooter" featuring "Tea Party zombies" to be targeted with an "arsenal of weapons," including multiple firearms and a crowbar. Notable politicians depicted in the game include current and previous presidential hopefuls like Palin, Bachmann, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum. Several Fox News personalities are also featured, including Huckabee, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and Brit Hume. (FNC)

The game is currently still active.

Zombie Palin

A single Halloween image of Obama as a zombie = "shameful" and "disgusting"

A shooting game involving republicans and Tea Partiers = good clean fun!

Update: As Storm points out in comments at Howie's post, the left never threatened Bush when he was President... /s

More Islamophobes!

But isn't a phobia an irrational fear of something? Its hard to call infidels irrational for fearing Sharia is it not? Well not for some folks.

can report new developments following up on my exclusive PJM report last Wednesday that Department of Homeland Security Advisory Council member Mohamed Elibiary allegedly shopped sensitive intel taken from a secure state and local law enforcement database to a left-leaning media outlet purportedly to slam Texas governor and GOP presidential hopeful Rick Perry as an “Islamophobe”.

In my story last week I confirmed with Texas Dept. of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw that Elibiary had in fact recently accessed TX DPS documents marked “For Official Use Only” from the DHS State and Local Intelligence Community of Interest (HS SLIC).

Now I can confirm that following the publication of my report, McCraw contacted DHS Deputy Undersecretary for Intelligence and Analysis Bart Johnson by phone and requested an investigation into the matter.

But when Napolitano was questioned last Wednesday by Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert (R-TX01) during a House Judiciary Committee hearing about the matter, the DHS Secretary was non-committal about an investigation into Elibiary’s alleged misconduct:

Government Held Gun to Lenders Heads

So they could be made to lend to ACORN's constituency.

At President Clinton's direction, no fewer than 10 federal agencies issued a chilling ultimatum to banks and mortgage lenders to ease credit for lower-income minorities or face investigations for lending discrimination and suffer the related adverse publicity. They also were threatened with denial of access to the all-important secondary mortgage market and stiff fines, along with other penalties.

The threat was codified in a 20-page "Policy Statement on Discrimination in Lending" and entered into the Federal Register on April 15, 1994, by the Interagency Task Force on Fair Lending. Clinton set up the little-known body to coordinate an unprecedented crackdown on alleged bank redlining.

The edict — completely overlooked by the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission and the mainstream media — was signed by then-HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros, Attorney General Janet Reno, Comptroller of the Currency Eugene Ludwig and Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, along with the heads of six other financial regulatory agencies.

Of course a lot of the mortgage mess started in Chicago where Citibank was forced to issue a heap of bad loans or face #occupation.

Hat Tip: Insty.

Libya Under a New Flag

Yeah that's pretty much al-Qaeda's flag.

Its just one of many that a Jihadist might fly.

For instance this one is from Islamic State of Iraq, an insurgent group led by al-Qaeda in Iraq designed to bring Islamic fighting groups under one flag.

Bad omen? Well it ain't all sunshine and buttercups.
