In Obama's America, even the dogs are unemployed
Sad news from the Tampa Bay area, as Cody the Labrador, who happily worked with his owner at a Clearwater BP station is now on the dog biscuit line thanks to some government busy-bodies. The St. Petersburg Times reports:
Cody, a chocolate Labrador, has for months greeted customers at the Clearwater BP gas station and convenience store at U.S. 19 and Nursery Road. An earlier tampabay.com story introduced thousands of readers to the jovial pup.But Thursday morning, a state health inspector stopped by and issued a warning to Karim Mansour, the store's owner: Remove the dog or the Health Department would declare all of Mansour's food products — mostly bottled sodas, Slim Jims and candy bars — unfit for consumption.

Here's the initial St. Peter Times profile of Cody, and video of the now-unemployed canine in happier times below the fold. Also, the asshole health inspector's name in John Berkler, Jr.
