Post In Which I Defend Barack Obama From Fat Slob
Dear President Obama,Mr. Moore, Mr. Obama is our president. This decision, agree with it or not, is his and his alone. Sure I'm not happy with all his decisions. I may not even be happy with the way he carries out this strategy.Do you really want to be the new "war president"? If you go to West Point tomorrow night (Tuesday, 8pm) and announce that you are increasing, rather than withdrawing, the troops in Afghanistan, you are the new war president. Pure and simple. And with that you will do the worst possible thing you could do -- destroy the hopes and dreams so many millions have placed in you. With just one speech tomorrow night you will turn a multitude of young people who were the backbone of your campaign into disillusioned cynics. You will teach them what they've always heard is true -- that all politicians are alike. I simply can't believe you're about to do what they say you are going to do. Please say it isn't so.
But...... Given that he is going to outline a strategy and attempt to make it work. I think its not a bad idea to hear the man out. Because remember, he is handing out orders to our troops, its his job to protect our vital interests.
I feel we at least owe it to our President and our troops to hear the man out and support their efforts as best we can.
I'm not personally invested in the political aspects of if he fails or not.
I do have an interest in seeing that WE and that Afghan people win. And that The Taliban and al-Qaeda loose.
Now go STFU Mr. Moore and have another burger.
Some days I think if Fidel Castro were running this thing then Mr. Moore would be the first in line to cheer-lead for him.
