Sigh, Obama Rejects All Afghan Recommendations
WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama does not plan to accept any of the Afghanistan war options presented by his national security team, pushing instead for revisions to clarify how and when U.S. troops would turn over responsibility to the Afghan government, a senior administration official said Wednesday.Bummer. I hope you have some damn good ideas of your own Mr. President.
Please consider that not only is the US perceived as an "invader" at times. There's another side to that coin. There are many who want freedom, who would love it. But they fear, with pretty good reason, that the US is not good for its word and will leave their ass hanging in the wind. So therefore they play the fence.
If we abandon the people of Afghanistan to the Taliban it will destroy our credibility for years to come.
Its time the US says what it means and does what it has said it will do.
