Hasan: "Muslim First, American Second" Claimed There was a "War Against Islam"**Updated** Where would he get that idea? CAIR!
Here's a great idea: let's give this guy a military commission and then promote him to Major!
Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the Army psychiatrist accused of killing 13 people and wounding 30 others at the Fort Hood Army Base in Texas, regularly described the war on terror as “a war against Islam,” according to a doctor who was in a graduate program with him.Sounds like someone shares the world view of Osama bin Laden and hundreds of millions of other Muslims around the world who claim victim status to the global Zionist-Crusader plot against them.
“He was very vocal about the war, very upfront about being a Muslim first and an American second,” said Finnell, 41, a preventive medicine doctor in Los Angeles
Thanks to Robert Spencer.
Update by Barbarossa: A war on Islam? Where, oh, where might he have ever got that idea? Oh wait! That's right -- Parvez Ahmed, the Chairman of the Board for the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR):
War on terror is war on Islam, says advocate By Nisa Islam Muhammad Staff Writer Updated May 28, 2008 - 11:30:00 AM
WASHINGTON (FinalCall.com) - The global war on terror has become a thinly veiled excuse to wage a global war on Islam with increased arrests of Muslims, calls for regime change in Muslim countries and racial profiling, according to a leader with a national Islamic organization.
“The tactic of terrorism—and yes it is a tactic, not an ideology—has been deployed by a multitude of groups of different religions, ethnicities and ideologies and yet the Islamic faith, unlike any other, is erroneously and incessantly associated with terrorism,” said Dr. Parvez Ahmed, a national board member of the Council on American Islamic Relations. “The association of a faith practiced by 1.2 billion people worldwide to terrorism creates the perception that the GWOT is a war against Islam.”
