AZ honor killing victim Noor Almaleki dies from her injuries
Noor Almaleki, who was run over by her father on October 20th in an attempted honor killing in the Phoenix area died earlier today. Her father had fled to Mexico, took a flight to the UK, where he was turned away and put on a flight to Atlanta, where he was apprehended. He was then extradited back to Arizona. According to prosecutors at his arraignment in Arizona today, Faleh Hassan Almaleki had received considerable assistance from both his family and the Islamic community in Phoenix to help flee justice. Prosecutors will be adding murder charges to his indictment. JihadWatch has the law enforcement press release.
Noor Almaleki was 20 years old. Her crime was being "too Westernized". The AP notes that another woman injured in the attack, the mother of Noor's boyfriend, is expected to recover.
