US drone strike kills key al-Qaeda ally Tahir Yuldashev

Not confirmed yet.....huge get if confirmed.

A key Islamist radical with close ties to al-Qaeda and the Taleban is believed to have been killed by a US missile strike in north-western Pakistan, intelligence officials said today.

Tahir Yuldashev, the veteran leader of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, was wounded by a missile fired from a US drone in the tribal region of South Waziristan on August 27 and died of his injuries a few days later, according to the officials. He was about 42-years-old.

If confirmed, his death would be a significant blow to the militant groups sheltering in Pakistan’s tribal areas, just as the Pakistani army appears poised to attack their main stronghold in South Waziristan.

Repeat after me...........He's dead Jim.
