Rejected World Wildlife Fund Ad Proposal Stirs Controversy

Via Ad Freak:

Just in time for the anniversary of 9/11 comes this tasteless, nightmarish print ad for the World Wildlife Fund, showing dozens of planes headed for lower Manhattan. See a larger version here. The copy reads: "The tsunami killed 100 times more people than 9/11. The planet is brutally powerful. Respect it. Preserve it."
Of course WWF has come out with a statement disavowing any knowledge of the ad. Saying it was a "concept" or a "proposal" that was rejected. But the ad apparently has been around Brazil for quite a while, even winning a public service award.

Funny how they just now found out about it huh?

You can almost see the point they are making. That natural phenomenon kills more people every year than terrorists. Except on the one side is an "act of God", and the other is intentional act murder of by those who imagine they are acting for Allah. As if God is unable to act for himself.
