Four Dead In Suspected Honor Killing in Canada [UPDATE: Honor Killings Mounting in GWN]

Dan Riehl is following the story:

Three teenage girls and their mother. Allegedly, a man took two wives while living in Afghanistan but could only claim one as he's now living in Canada. Reportedly, he has seven children with his other wife. The woman reported receiving death threats and fearing for her life in emails to relatives. The car was found submerged with the women inside. Individuals who knew them and some family members are insisting it was an honor killing.

UPDATE: Mark Steyn reports that three more Muslim women drowned:

There would seem to be a statistically improbable number of multiple drownings of female members of Muslim families in Kingston this summer. If you're a young female Muslim, and you have any say in the matter, you might want to vacation elsewhere.

At 2pm est today, on a CFRA radio press conference, it was announced that the police have finally described the deaths of four Afghan-Canadian girls and women, as a “Muslim honor killing.”
