Ban the Burka?
I dunno, when I see a burqa around here, not often but it happens. Its usually Friday. I kinda thought that at the time it was kinda like Sunday go to meetin' outfit. We have some Mennonite nuns who serve food at functions here as well as quite a lot of Amish. Older conservative Baptist women sometimes cover their hair.
So, I don't really see the point in banning any one particular mode of dress. Headscarves or Burkas. So long as its clear that a woman can wear what she chooses.
It would seem there are bigger issues for women living under Islam than the burka or burqua?
