Al Qaeda's Africa Strategy #6: Disrupt Western Shipping

Marisa at Making Sense of Jihad reprints a summary of Abu Azzam al-Ansari's 2006 discourse outlining al Qaeda's Africa strategy. With the world's attention finally focused on Somalia, it would be wise for policy makers to pay close attention to point #6:

6 Western interests use Africa’s “maritime routes” to transfer weapons and equipment” and “use these routes to shift oil to the rest of the world. Targeting these routes will be fatal for the Crusaders…”
