Smashing January Smackdown Results!
we we crossed the 500 users SUSPENDED mark – and - crossed the 20,000 videos SMACKED DOWN mark! We also are the recipients of a really cool new logo, thanks to Freeper Insight, and I look forward to incorporating that into our daily posts! So let's get to the results! First, here are a couple statistics...In January Youtube Smackdown tracked 79 users who were suspended for posting terrorist related material and removed 5092 terrorist related videos. (this includes a couple more accounts that belong to Jane Goatface)
Great numbers and thanks to everyone who participates in our efforts against terrorist propaganda videos and websites. Your bitching makes this all possible. Great job!
But you know, as cool as that is. One thing still bothers me terribly. That this video from al-Qaeda in Iraq remains.

Youtube must like it since it blames Bush methinks.
I've worked and worked to bring this disgusting terrorist video down from Youtube. It really bothers me that this video that dishonors one of our brave fallen men and is allowed to remain on a US provider. The video is actually a war crime by al-Qaeda under the Geneva convention. But since when has anyone ever held the terrorists to any standard of civility? Only the US or Israel has to withstand such scrutiny.
My sincere apologies to the Family and Friends of Troy Gilbert. I've had many contacts with his family those who served with him. I feel I've failed them and Troys memory.
I can only keep working and hoping for a day when his widow, his children, his family and friends don't have to live knowing that their loved ones body is rudely displayed for al-Qaeda's propaganda purposes on Youtube.
