It's Official: Obama Gives Rusty a Headache

Let me make my stance on whether or not the U.S. should meet with Iran loud and clear: yes. Remember when Reagan and Bush met with Gorbachev? Nixon with Mao and Brezhnev? Obama is right, talking with your enemies is no big deal.

The problem isn't with talking, it's with what is said. And the more I get to know President Obama, the less confident I am that what will be said at any high level meeting between the U.S. and its enemies will be good for our long term strategic interests. But maybe I'm wrong? I hope so.

Anyway someone sent me a link to this earlier, but my Windows XP system has been acting funny lately and inexplicably shutting down my computer when I get to, say, 8 tabs opened up on Firefox at a time. But thanks to AllahP for reminding me that I had intended to post about it, but then got sidetracked by ripping my eyebrows out.

Obama sends surrogates to meet with America's enemies before election.

For some reason I can't get my outrage level up on this one. I don't know, maybe my expectations are just so low that nothing surprises me any more about his Oneness? Let's put this at mildly disconcerting.

I think what worries me more than that are reports that Obama is drumming up the grassroots for support of his trillion dollar porkfest. Now, normally this wouldn't bother me either, but there's something about this cult of personality Obama has going that is eerie.

Any one familiar with the Chavistas of Venezuela might see a similarity.

Stable Hand was sent this message from el Jefe. He now wants his comrades to host Economic Recovery House Meetings all over the country. Be the first on your street to host one, and don't forget to tell the Party's block captain of any anti-revolutionary reactionaries in your neighborhood.

The economic crisis is growing more serious every day, and the time for action has come.

Last week, the House of Representatives passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which will jumpstart our economy and put more than 3 million people back to work.

I hope to sign the recovery plan into law in the next few weeks. But I need your help to spread the word and build support.

It's not enough for this bill to simply pass Congress. Americans need to know how it will affect their lives -- they need to know that help is on the way and that this administration is investing in economic growth and stability.

Governor Tim Kaine has agreed to record a video outlining the recovery plan and answering questions about what it means for your community. You can submit your questions online and then invite your friends, family, and neighbors to watch the video with you at an Economic Recovery House Meeting.

Join thousands of people across the country by hosting or attending an Economic Recovery House Meeting this weekend.

The stakes are too high to allow partisan politics to get in the way.

That's why I've consulted with Republicans as well as Democrats to put together a plan that will address the crisis we face.

I've also taken steps to ensure an unprecedented level of transparency and accountability. Once it's passed, you will be able to see how every penny in this plan is being spent.

You can help restore confidence in our economy by making sure your friends, family, and neighbors understand how the recovery plan will impact your community.

Sign up to host or attend an Economic Recovery House Meeting and submit your question for the video now:

Our ability to come together as a nation in difficult times has never been more important.

I know I can rely on your spirit and resolve as we lead our country to recovery.

Thank you,

President Barack Obama

P.S. -- If you can't host or attend an Economic Recovery House Meeting, you can still submit your questions for Governor Kaine and then share the video with your friends and family this weekend. Learn more here:

PS: When was the last time we had a sitting President keep his election campaign apparatus in tact? Did "W" keep his election website open after he was elected?

UPDATE: I should have remembered Rusty's first rule: Read Michelle first. So, how come Michelle and Stable Hand got this meme, but not me?

Frankly, I'm hurt. Like I'm not good enough to be in Obama's cult!?!?!
